Speaker 2 (0:01) If you felt lonely, isolated, disconnected, with an empty feeling inside and just yearning for more, knowing something is missing, then this podcast is for you. So here's your host, Joe Mitiga. Speaker 1 (0:27) Hello, and welcome to WE. Have you ever wondered if maybe you're not good enough to have the life you really want? Not successful enough, not smart enough, not strong enough, not worthy enough. Maybe you've looked at other people who seem happy and thought, why can't my life feel like that? I certainly know I've felt that. For much of my life, I thought I was trying to become happy. But when I really look back today, I realize there were times when happiness was right in front of me. And I didn't know how to receive it because somewhere deep inside of me was a belief I didn't completely understand. I wasn't sure, quite honestly, if I deserved it. I wasn't sure if I was good enough to have a life filled with peace, love, joy, purpose, meaning, and abundance. And quite honestly, it's kind of difficult to admit. Because consciously, of course I wanted all those things. But emotionally, there was still a part of me carrying around the wounds of my past. A part of me that remembered the mistakes I had made, the people I'd hurt, the times I'd failed, the times I wasn't the person I wanted to be, and without realizing it, sometimes allowed those experiences, quite honestly, to become my true identity. Instead of saying I made mistakes, I began believing I am a mistake. Instead of saying, I failed, I began believing, maybe I'm a failure. And instead of believing that my life could become something extraordinary, I sometimes wondered, who am I to believe I could have a great life? But healing has begun teaching me something very, very different. My past can explain parts of me without, quite honestly, defining all of me. The person I used to be does not have to determine the person I'm becoming. And the mistakes I've made do not have to become the life sentence for me. And where emotional healing became so important for me because I couldn't simply think my way out of my self-doubt. I had to begin healing the parts of me that believed the doubt in the first place. And I've done that. I've started asking myself completely different questions. Not, am I good enough? But what if my higher power already believes I'm capable of becoming more than I can see right now? And quite honestly, folks, that changes everything. Because maybe I don't have to prove that I'm worthy of happiness. Maybe happiness isn't something I earn after I finally become perfect. Maybe joy isn't a reward waiting for me after I fix every flaw. Maybe a great life begins when I stop fighting myself long enough to receive the love, guidance, and possibilities that I've been trying to reach for a really long time. Today, I'm learning to believe in myself differently. Not because I suddenly have all the answers. No, of course not. Not because I'm still not afraid sometimes. And certainly not because I never have self-doubt anymore. I'm learning to believe in myself because I've survived enough of my own life to know that fear doesn't always tell me the truth about who I am. Self-doubt doesn't always tell me the truth about what I'm capable of. And my past doesn't get to decide what my future is allowing me to become. My higher power does not need me to remain who I was yesterday. Maybe my higher power is inviting me to become someone new today. Someone who can love more deeply. Someone who can live more authentically. Someone who can experience peace without waiting for the world to become peaceful. Someone who can wake up in the morning and actually be grateful to be alive. Someone who finally believes, maybe I am worthy of happiness and a joyful life. So today we're going to talk about worthiness. We're going to talk about self-doubt. We're going to talk about why some of us can spend years pursuing happiness while unconsciously believing we don't deserve to experience it. And we're going to talk about the emotional healing that can help us let go of the identity created by our wounds and begin trusting the person our higher power is helping us to become. Because I'm beginning to understand that creating a life isn't only about changing what's around me. It's also about healing what's inside of me. Speaker 1 (6:16) It's learning to stop asking, what's wrong with me? And I'm beginning to ask, what's possible for me? Maybe I am good enough to be happy. Maybe I am worthy of joy. Maybe I can believe in myself. And maybe, just maybe, I can trust my higher power. And maybe the great life I've spent so many years looking for doesn't begin when I finally become good enough. Maybe it begins when I finally realize that I already am. My name is Joe Mitiga, and this is we. Speaker 1 (6:59) Welcome, everybody. Welcome to WE. And I want to welcome everybody from around the world. It's an amazing day here in Atlanta. It's the 13th day of September. And, you know, I've had an amazing weekend, an amazing week. And I'm happy to be here, happy to share my experience, strength, and hope with everybody. Welcome from around the world. It's exciting to be able to say that. And Speaker 2 (7:24) I Speaker 1 (7:25) like to kind of... Keep everybody updated on my story a little bit. And for new listeners, welcome. You know, we have tens of thousands, literally, of new people joining the We Podcast community on a daily basis now. And I'm extremely grateful for that. Welcome to all of you. I say it all the time. I'm just a guy. And, you know, I'm just like you are. I'm just a guy. I'm the guy in the grocery store. I'm the guy in the Kroger line, you know. where you buy your groceries. I'm the guy next to you at church. I'm nothing special. I don't say that in a degrading way. I say it in an honest way. I'm just a man. And I've been on a conscious path for a long time, but personally, I'm just a guy just like you are. And I'm really, really excited to know that the WE community is growing literally around the world because it's an absolute reflection of what's going on with humanity. humanity is waking up. Large percentage of people consider themselves more spiritual than religious these days. And in that awakening, it's not a judgment of the other. It's not a judgment of the old. It's an acknowledgement of the new. It's the acknowledgement of the growth. And in this podcast, we are an emotional growth podcast and a human transformation podcast. And I have to put those two things together because the why we do it all. Like, what the heck are we really doing all this for? We're doing it because the end result, we want to have a better life. We want to feel better. We want to feel abundant. We want to feel happy. We want to feel joyful. We want that. Everybody wants that. And the truth of the matter is, in the past, the techniques in which influencers and other people shared on how to accomplish that, it worked for a while. But this is a different show. I'm here to help people understand the why we don't feel happy, joyous, and free on a daily basis. And what do we do about it? That's what the WE Podcast is. And again, welcome everybody. I want to take a second. Here in the States, 25 years ago, 9-11 was an absolute atrocity. And, you know, I'm one of these guys, I do it all the time. I challenge social norms. I do. I challenge social norms because humanity is waking up. And that which we believed in our yesterday does not necessarily mean it's going to believe it in our todays and our tomorrows. And with the 9-11 thing and the thousands of people that were killed, you know, I see all sorts of different. online conspiracy theories and this and that. And you know what? I don't care about any of that garbage, to be honest with you. What I care about is that people lost people they loved. And I am so sorry. I am. I can't say that I knew anybody there. I didn't. But interestingly enough, I'm not a TV guy. And even back then, 2001, I had an old TV, but I was a life coach back then. And I just happened to turn the television on. I don't even know why, to be honest with you. And I literally live saw the second plane crash into the tower live, September 11, 2001. And I remember as I saw it, I couldn't really. comprehend that your brain can't comprehend what was going on. And in that moment, I didn't really think about the massiveness of it. I didn't. But it was about an hour or two later, when on every major news channel and back then, the cable world, I don't know if the cable world was around or not, I'm sure it was some, but the big news channels, you know, some of the news anchors. And every news channel said, and it was the first time in my life I'd ever heard it, they said, go home and get with your family and pray. And I remember when I heard that. I said, the world will never be the same. When you've got the national media. telling you to go home and pray. I'd never heard that before. And quite honestly, the world has never been the same. A lot of changes, you know, that whole environment caused a lot of different things to happen in the world. A lot of people woke up, a lot of people stayed asleep. In that particular era of time, you know, I was just in the beginning days of kind of coming out of my seven years of darkness. So I was pretty lost most of the time anyways. but I was beginning the whole idea of learning how to follow a God of my understanding, not because I was pursuing it, but because I was healing. And you know what the We Podcast is about and why it is literally expanding around the globe is because we're a generation of change. We just are. And I say that all the time. And what do I mean? I mean that humanity, the part... Anybody that considers themselves more spiritual than religious, why is that kind of the foundation, if you will? It's because for millennia, the religious perspective, a God perspective for millennia was primarily found in a structure called a church for millennia. Now, that was never the mannerism or the mechanism for the native cultures around the world. the native American Indians or the native Eskimos or the native people in any continent around the globe that they had a very different communion with a higher power forever, literally. And you can, you know, it's pretty interesting if you study cultures, original cultures around the globe, how no way, and I'm talking about over the past 2000 years. They would never have even known they existed, but their cultures and their spiritual practices were almost identical. Pretty bizarre. And why was that? Because they were connected to their feminine side of self and the spiritual essence that lives inside of us. And what the We Podcast is all about is to honor all parts, all religions, all people's path for the God concept. All of it. All of you. Everybody is welcome here. And since my communion... happens with a power greater than myself, not necessarily from a religious perspective. I don't talk about the religious part. Now, I will tell you for a fact, some of the most spiritually connected humans I've ever been around are devout in their religions. My business partner and his wife for 50 years have been devout Christians. They are the kindest, smartest, most connected, faith-ridden people you would ever meet. Speaker 1 (14:37) Fabulous. Do I do it like them? No. No, I don't. But I love them exactly where they are, and they show the God way by loving me too. And I could go on and on. So I welcome everybody here. I do. But my message is more from the spiritual perspective, the awakening perspective, because humanity is waking up. The feminine side of us is waking up. And as that side wakes up, there's emotion coming up. And the more you heal the emotion, the more your spiritual sense of self is remembered. That's what happened for me. That's why I say all the time, I'm not a teacher. I'm not. I don't have anything to teach you new. I can teach the techniques that I use to heal. None of them originally mine. The original person that I learned a lot of this from, my counselor, Nancy, of many years, learned it from a man named John Bradshaw. And John Bradshaw, this amazing human, passed away numerous years ago now with 50 years of sobriety. And he was educated in every doctorate there was, just a genius of a man. Well, I ain't that, that's for sure. No genius. And I'm no doctor. And I'm not a researcher. I'm not a therapist. I'm a guy. I'm a guy that's been on a path for a while. And I want to share with people how I became a God guy, starting off with it. from an F you got guy. Speaker 2 (16:02) And Speaker 1 (16:03) I say that all the time because it's the truth. So welcome, everybody. Welcome people from Norway and United Kingdom. Brand new country that I see now we're ranked in is Taiwan. Oman is relatively new ranking. Malaysia, South Korea, of course, Canada, Kenya. You know, the list goes on and on. And I haven't even got my numbers lately. Those are countries that the WE Podcast is ranking high in those countries, which means there's a lot of people listening. I'm humbled. I really am. And it's validation that we as a humanity, it doesn't matter where you live. It doesn't matter the color of your skin. It doesn't matter your past religions. It doesn't matter what language you speak. We're all humanity. And it's happening. around us everywhere. And as we wake up to that grander sense of ourselves, I'm here to validate back, be a mirror back for people. That grander sense of self. And today's topic, though, is more from the emotional side of things, right? Today's topic is the whole idea of not feeling good enough. And the not feeling good enough, that's an emotional topic, and we're going to get into the emotional side. And it is valid and real. It's a real live internal experience that people battle with their whole lives. And we're going to talk about why. And we're going to talk about what you do to heal it. And I'm a perfect guy to be able to talk about that because not good enough, that was a place I was trying to reach when I started because I was a self-hate guy, literally. So when I finally got to, geez, I only kind of not feel good enough. To me, that was a miracle from where I started on this path. And I'll talk about that some, I will. The reason I bring all of this up more and more and more is because I want people to understand that we are a spirit having a human existence, a human experience, not a human having a spiritual experience. And I understand that concept pushes in the face of a lot of traditional belief systems. I get it. That's fine. Good. I don't, I mean, I get it. That's okay. People don't have to believe it. Speaker 1 (18:28) Everybody knows the phrase created of Christ consciousness inside us. Everybody knows the phrase that Jesus said, you shall do what I've done in grander things inside us. Most people don't know, but one of the last things Jesus said, the guy that all time's around, the guy that an entire religion was created around, he literally said some of the last things he said, I have to go sit by my father so he can place the spirit that has guided me in you, Holy Spirit in us. Okay, well, that Holy Spirit is there, folks. That's you. That is the divine you. And people say all the time, well, Joe, if it's in
