Speaker 1 (1:51) Yeah. Should Speaker 2 (1:51) be a fun time. I'm excited for it. Speaker 1 (1:56) It's going to be some great time. Sorry, I was drinking water. Thought you were going to talk longer. Everybody, welcome to Next Gen NYC Season 2, Episode 9. No Fsgiving. I don't give a... Speaker 1 (2:12) So, Friendsgiving episode. Speaker 2 (2:14) Yeah. Nice. Yeah. So, we see it's like the day before Friendsgiving and George is just like in a car. riding through the city and she's like, yeah, I feel like there's been like no stopping. Like I got back from Vegas, landed and then it's been like go, go, go ever since. Like I chatted with Brooks a little bit, like I went rowing a little bit because I saw her mom at a charity event I was at the other day. It's been like nonstop. What does Georgia do for work these days? Again, event planner, event thrower. Like what? Why has her life been nonstop? We haven't seen her do anything. I was wondering that Speaker 1 (2:52) too. Anything with business. What are you doing? I mean, yeah, she does party planning, but I don't know. We haven't heard of any specific ones. Yeah, I kind of wondered too. I was like, what is a day in the life of Georgia like? And she drives in the city. That's pretty rare. Well, I don't think she drives. I think she was just in the backseat of a car. Speaker 2 (3:13) Oh, I thought she Speaker 1 (3:14) was driving. Speaker 2 (3:15) No, no, no. I think she was riding in the car. Speaker 1 (3:18) Oh, never mind. That question is gone. It's like, oh, look Speaker 2 (3:23) at that. Speaker 1 (3:23) So grocery store, Gia and Ava are shopping and Ariana comes and Ava is wearing like a fur coat and a crop top. They're like, oh, my God, where are you going? Fashion week? Stunning. Speaker 2 (3:39) Yeah, Carrie Bradshaw is my inspiration. I signed my lease today, moving in on Monday. And like, oh my God, so happy for you, blah, blah, blah. And then we go back to the car where George is still sort of like giving her thoughts on anything. And she goes, I'm going to make an adult mac and cheese. I'm like pretty good at boiling water. I taught Charlie actually how to boil water. True story, I swear, I swear. Past his 30th birthday, he like didn't know how to boil water. Speaker 1 (4:09) Yeah. Just put a camera on Georgia and just let her go. That's what she does. Please. Please. I don't know what she's talking about. She goes from like, yeah, it's been like, go, go, go. It's like so rough. I've just like not stopped. So I'm going to make an adult mac and cheese. Like Charlie doesn't even know how to boil water. Like I do. Like for real, for serious. It's true. It's ridiculous. I know. Speaker 1 (4:38) We're going to keep how much footage that is. It's probably just like an hour and a half of Georgia going from one location to another and just not shutting up. Oh, my God. Speaker 2 (4:47) It's just and all of it's just got to be hilarious. Just her commenting on things and her hot takes on stuff. I mean, she really is. She's amazing. Speaker 1 (4:57) So back at the store, Gia is checking what everybody's bringing. So she's sending them messages and stuff. And then we go over the fact that Ariana is bringing vegetables with Liam. It's huge. It's a huge deal. And we find out that Hudson has been removed from the group chat. because he got all pissed off when he found out that the group vegetable thing was or the couple's vegetable thing was happening and so uh ariana made riley do it she's like i don't want to look like the asshole for doing it you do it riley yeah Speaker 2 (5:34) um so riley is like she said that she got a text from hudson being like wow really but she's like i didn't respond so now back to the store and ava um is asking ariana if she's actually dating liam and she's like Oh, we're not dating. No. I mean, like we're going on dates and like, we're just like figuring it out, but like, that's it. And so then we see a flashback of them on a date the night before. And Liam is like, I don't know what's going on. And she's like, I don't know what's going on either. Even though you make me nervous. It's Speaker 1 (6:07) a Speaker 2 (6:07) good nervous. It's a good nervous. Yeah. Butterflies are good. Speaker 1 (6:11) Yeah, but they don't really have a lot of anything. They show them on the date and it's like, just kind of staring around. Like, should we talk about something? I don't know. So it doesn't seem like much is going to happen there. But they do have a date tonight. And she tells him that they've made out and he invited her for Thanksgiving. And they're like, oh my God, that's a little fast. Ava says, these men have lost their minds. Liam inviting Ariana to his family's Thanksgiving, that's like literally crazy. Like, I would invite someone to my dad's Thanksgiving, but he's literally asked me for $20,000 to pay for the Thanksgiving in the first place. So I'm not really sure where we're going to go from here. Yeah, I Speaker 2 (6:55) mean, I feel like he just had Ariana over for like, what was his birthday with his family? And now he's having her over for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a big deal. It's a big deal. Speaker 1 (7:05) And then she talks about the stuff with Shai. And she's like, I mean, what the hell? Shai asking if he could kiss me while I'm still living with my ex? He was on one bed. I was on the other. And he said, can I kiss you? And I said, no. Like, where are the boundaries? Speaker 2 (7:20) Yeah, where are they? Where are the boundaries these days? So, I don't know. I think I lost track of where we are in this very Speaker 1 (7:30) difficult Speaker 2 (7:30) conversation. Speaker 1 (7:30) No, they're basically teasing her that Charlie's going to cry because Ariana's dating Liam. She's like, he can suck my ass. Like, yeah, he would. So, they're like, what if Hudson shows up to this Friendsgiving thing? What will we do? Because obviously the plan is to have Hudson show up and... Start some drama at Friendsgiving. So then we see Charlie. He's walking through the city. I miss his skateboard, personally. I loved when Charlie would have his, like, yeah, I'm a cool guy. I'm a skateboard. So, whatever. Speaker 2 (8:02) Yeah. He was, like, one of the people back then. And Ariana tells us that Charlie loves to be involved in the drama. And he told Hudson to come to Friendsgiving to tell Liam, like, what the fuck's going on? And put him in his place, you know? And then we see Hudson. We go to Hudson and he says, right now I'm thinking about coming and crashing the whole thing. And Charlie's thinking he'd love to see that confrontation play out. I love that Hudson is this dweeby threat from Atlanta. They never know if he's going to show up and then sulk. That's his whole thing. Is Hudson going to do anything? Hudson just shows up and sulks. Yeah, what's Hudson going to do? Speaker 1 (8:40) No one's afraid of you, sucker. Speaker 1 (8:44) And the producer is telling Charlie, wow, you're friends with everyone's ex. Do the guys just like you more? And he's like, yeah, it better be portrayed on the show. It better be like an episode like everybody loves Charlie or some shit like that. Speaker 2 (8:57) Yeah. So then they did a little sitcom intro. So now we see Charlie and Omar. They're going to have a. little drink talk about their bar that they're gonna open up and omar is all about giving a lowball offer to this one spot that's like really struggling and then um omar's like so how was bravo con and charlie goes it was good i mean one of the panelists i think the one with the hunchback asked who's the fame change the most and everyone around the home just like georgia georgia georgia georgia and it's just sort of like this like i don't know minorly putting she was minorly put in her place Speaker 1 (9:32) it was really good i really loved that He's like, you would have loved it. Yeah, and then me and Ariana fucked in the plane bathroom and everyone made a huge deal about it. It was fun. It was fun. They talk about Hudson and he's just catching Omar up on all the gossip. But Omar, still just a bundle of charisma, that guy. Speaker 2 (9:55) So how's it going with you? How's it going with Ariana? How's Speaker 1 (10:00) it going with Hudson? Speaker 1 (10:02) yeah he just he just Speaker 2 (10:04) pops on camera that's what he does yeah he just comes alive so then omar asks how hudson's doing and charlie says that he's down in atlanta and he just dipped bro she's like she's like liam for sure that's what i gotta say and like you know ariana's like listing her friends to like to also be weird to him and like she told like riley to go kick him out of the group chat and it's just like a cold world bro like gotta bundle up Speaker 1 (10:31) So the producer asks Hudson, oh, you're still in close contact with Charlie. Why? And he's like, I think Charlie is the most malicious person I've ever met in my life. So I'm going to buddy up to him. I don't think Ariana's interested in him, but it's inevitable that Charlie's going to try and make his move on Ariana. So I'm playing my hand the best I can. Like the entire motive. is to keep your friends close and to keep your enemies closer. So I'm trying to figure out how to manipulate Charlie before he manipulates me and then manipulates her. Yeah, your girlfriend broke up with you and now she's going to go hook up with other people. That's it. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know what you're trying to achieve Speaker 2 (11:12) here. Even if they do have sex, how are you going to be able to fix it by being friends with Charlie? Speaker 1 (11:19) He's just an idiot, this guy. Somehow Speaker 2 (11:22) he's worse than Speaker 1 (11:22) Charlie. I think his manipulation is that he wants to still be on the show without dating Ariana, so he's got to have other people to shoot with, so he's being friends with Charlie. Yeah. I don't think he's as smart as he thinks he is. Speaker 2 (11:35) He's just, I don't know. His whole game plan doesn't make any sense to me. You don't have to be that literal with the expression. Speaker 1 (11:42) It's time for a commercial. It's time for a Crappin's commercial. Speaker 2 (11:49) So it's the day of Friendsgiving, and so Brooks FaceTimes Ava, and he's like, look, I'm making turkey-shaped sourdough. And she's like, oh my God, does it even look like a bird? He's like, oh my God, like, I don't even know. Speaker 1 (12:05) And then Teresa and Gia are cooking, and Teresa's like, Speaker 2 (12:09) I'm so old and I don't know anything. Like, who wants to cook? Like, you only like doing that stuff in your 20s. Speaker 1 (12:15) Haven't you been selling cookbooks for like 20 years? I know, seriously. Did Teresa forget that she's trying to sell books online? I think she forgot that part. Speaker 2 (12:29) Then Rowan and Brooke Shields are trying to figure out how to make butternut squash soup. And Brooke Shields is like, she's like, well, there's a reason I did a segment called Brooke Don't Cook. Am I right, everyone? Am I right, Brooke Don't Cook? Oh, God, I remember Speaker 1 (12:42) that. Really? Speaker 2 (12:45) No. Speaker 2 (12:49) What does Speaker 1 (12:50) she do a segment on? Speaker 2 (12:51) That's Speaker 1 (12:51) what I'd like to know. Brooke, Speaker 2 (12:52) don't cook. Speaker 1 (12:54) Yeah, I don't know. So they're looking up how to make butternut squash soup. And she's like, Mom, she's asking the digital assistant, Sue. She's like, Sue, how long do we need to cook butternut squash? And Brooke's like, we're going to just leave it in here until it's soft. God damn it. Okay. Jeez. Back to Gia's. Gia and Georgia are FaceTiming. Georgia's going to come up and she's like, I don't even mind if your parents are there. Like, I'm totally good with parents. Yeah. Speaker 2 (13:27) And so Brooke is talking about how she met Georgia. at a meals on wheels event and she's like yeah she was lovely she was so pretty and so sweet and and so effusive about you rowan and rowan is like oh my god you're she's like impersonating her mom being like oh my god your friend came up to me and she's like very excited me i love you and love you and love you um but uh georgia tells us she's like yeah i charmed that generation i think like boomers they just like really like me they show seth and brooks and Brooke. And they're like, not boomers. Speaker 1 (14:05) So, um, uh, Teresa, the, the cookbook author who insists that she wrote every single recipe herself and did not steal them from her grandmother at all. Or her mother, uh, is like, uh, Hey, so how long does it take to cook a 13.7 ham? Speaker 2 (14:28) And then Rowan, this is where Rowan and Brooke are trying to soften the squash. And Brooke is like, we're going to cook the shit out of it until it becomes ripe. I was like, well, that's not quite exactly how that happens, but that's fine. I know what you're Speaker 1 (14:40) going for. Amira has the best kind of grandma. The best. You know, we all love this kind of grandma, especially on TV. We're like, hey, grandma. Speaker 2 (14:51) Honey, you look Speaker 1 (14:52) so good. Oh, my God, you're so beautiful. What
