Speaker 3 (0:21) and welcome to watch what happens this is part two of a two-part recap if you're like hey wait a minute i didn't hear part one guys it's because we put out a lot of recaps go back and listen to part one okay it's before this one bye enjoy the show so Speaker 1 (0:38) hayley actually says it best she goes i honestly i black out when she talks to me like i really don't know what she's saying half the time because i'm just so bored she's like freaking strawberry jam and they're like What? What's wrong with strawberry jam? And she's like, you know, you know the jam on the table? You ever go to a diner and there's jam? And you don't care about the jam. It's just like jam. It's just there. You take it away. Speaker 2 (1:00) I thought that was such a good... Speaker 1 (1:03) At first, I was confused when she said that she was like strawberry jam, but then when she actually contextualized it as just like the generic jam that's on the diner, I thought that was... I thought that was so funny. But then I also love when Erica's like... Honestly, sometimes I put it on my toast. Speaker 3 (1:20) Like, for Speaker 2 (1:21) a Speaker 3 (1:21) second, guys. I mean, is that weird to like jam? I mean, I have jam tacos. I always have time for a taco. Speaker 1 (1:29) She's like, well, yeah, sometimes. I mean, Daisy and I, we're salt. Like, too much, you get hypertension. Like, you can't handle it. But Erin's just jam. She's so boring. I'd rather read a book. And I love that, like, that, like, the book is the second, second most boring thing. She's like, she's so bad, I'd actually like to read a book. Speaker 3 (1:50) I'd rather read Carol's book to be specifically. And they're like, oh, wow, damn. But it's great. Speaker 1 (1:57) It's just great to have a cast member call out Aaron for this at last when we, the audience, have been enduring it for so long. It's like, thank you for addressing this on screen. We're not crazy here. Yeah. Speaker 3 (2:10) So Daisy's like, oh my Speaker 4 (2:12) gosh, he called her boring? Boring? I'd rather you call me a bad mother than be called Speaker 3 (2:17) boring. Well, by the end of the episode, people probably will. Yeah. Because her husband's like, are you going to do anything for this child? She's like, I'm Speaker 4 (2:26) busy. Speaker 3 (2:28) No. Speaker 4 (2:29) You do it. Speaker 3 (2:31) So then. So Haley's like, it doesn't add. I'm going to call her Jammy McJamster. Speaker 1 (2:39) So now it's like things going on around New York City. Jessel gets an invitation. Cy gets a cab. And then Haley, there's like a Taco Bell drive-thru window that's just like an actual window on the sidewalk. And she goes up and gets her Taco Bell. And she's like, okay, honk, honk. I'll see you later because I'm in a car. It's a drive-thru. Okay, bye. Speaker 3 (3:00) And I like that she's trying to make it look like, look at me. I'm so fun. I go to Taco Bell. Would you like sauce? Sure. What kind? You choose, girl. Speaker 1 (3:11) They're like, we only have strawberry jam. Speaker 3 (3:13) Stop pretending. What are you going to put that on a protein bar? Get out of here. So now we go to Sai's apartment and she's talking to her lawyer and she's like, I Speaker 4 (3:21) want to go on this statement at net worth. All right. Here's what we got. House, car, car, house, kids. What do the kids spend? What do the kids want? Jesus Christ, this is hard. Fucking David. I'll tell you this. I've learned from my next marriage. We're getting the prenup. Speaker 1 (3:37) And then we go to Daisy's apartment and the whole gang is at home. Eugene, her husband, is there helping their son Quentin with a spelling bee. And Quentin spells beginner wrong, which, you know, will be a problem. And then Daisy's like, do you want to have wine, Eugene? Speaker 3 (3:56) And Speaker 1 (3:56) Eugene does not want to drink, which we know is an issue for her. Because he pretended like he liked to drink when they first met. And Daisy's like. He Speaker 3 (4:06) gaslighted her. Speaker 1 (4:07) Yeah. Speaker 3 (4:08) Or Speaker 1 (4:08) she was just too drunk. Speaker 3 (4:09) Are Speaker 4 (4:09) you sure that you don't want like a little tiny bit just with me? I can put it on ice for you. Oh my God. Just Speaker 3 (4:14) drink your own drink. No, I don't want that. I hate that. Speaker 1 (4:19) And she's like, Eugene and I have been married for 10 years and our Speaker 2 (4:22) main priority is Quentin and we definitely have different personalities. Eugene is like definitely more Speaker 1 (4:27) structured and I am the opposite. And then we see like a montage of him being like, hey, by the way, you didn't close the front door. Oh, you didn't close the window properly. Oh, you lit the coffee table on fire and left the apartment. So we don't have an apartment anymore. So don't do that again. Thanks. Speaker 3 (4:43) Yeah, I mean, when it's good, it's good. But like when I lift the refrigerator door open or something, then it's not good. Then I have to hear about it for weeks. Irresponsibility. People who aren't into irresponsibility really piss me off. I'm taking that right now. And Speaker 1 (5:00) pick Speaker 3 (5:00) up the kid from school. Speaker 4 (5:02) How should I know? You do it. Speaker 1 (5:05) So they start talking about having a date night and Daisy's kind of blowing him off. And then he wants to schedule a vacation or some time or whatever. And she's like, I can't. I can't with my schedule. I can't clear my schedule. It's hard. I can't do it. And then he's like, well, what about doing something tomorrow? And she's like, oh, my God, I forgot. I can't do it tomorrow. So just showing that the point of the scene is that he's. Trying to get time with her, but he's also maybe being a little unreasonable because she's on Martha's schedule and she never knows when her schedule is going to be, like what her schedule is going to be until like a day or two earlier. And he's getting frustrated because he wants to plan things out because that's like his vibe. Speaker 3 (5:45) Yeah, but he wants a family trip and you're like, I can't go on a family trip because Martha, what is Martha going to need? Because she only works for Martha. So she's at Martha's back and someone Speaker 4 (5:54) else is just going to have to do the, you know, someone Speaker 3 (5:58) else. can do Martha Stewart's face for a week. Yeah, you can Speaker 1 (6:02) do it. Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 3 (6:04) Good Snoop in there. Speaker 1 (6:05) Yeah, exactly. So she says that she and Eugene like bump heads, you know, and Eugene's a hairstylist and his, you know, his schedule is more consistent. But, you know, sometimes as a result, she and Eugene are like two ships passing in the night and, you know, oh, well. So then Eugene does like Speaker 3 (6:23) being an accountant. And being a makeup artist is being like an on-call emergency room worker, I guess. Yeah. I'm not really sure why that would be so crazy different, but I guess because she has that one client. Speaker 4 (6:36) And it's Martha. Martha! I'm not sure of her, but her name is Martha. Speaker 1 (6:41) But Daisy has a workaround for this, her crazy schedule, which is that she says that she has installed doggy cameras all around the apartment. And so she just checks in on the cameras when she's remote. And she's like, I could be in Paris climbing the Eiffel Tower with Martha, and then I'm searching the camera, and I'll be like, Quentin, Quentin, what are you having for breakfast? Tell Daddy to call me, you know, the norm. So I love that there's just like this disembodied voice of Daisy, like going through the apartment, just spying on everyone who's there. Speaker 3 (7:10) Just a robot mom. And while they're showing the kid on the couch spelling with the dad, he's like, Speaker 4 (7:15) beginner. B-A-B-N-L-O. And she's like, that was great, honey. And he Speaker 3 (7:24) just ignores her and high fives his dad. So that's her. That's their thing. And then we go to Maison. Maison Rose for Daisy's brunch. Speaker 1 (7:40) This, by the way, winds up being a burlesque brunch. And if you heard my, oh, I don't know if you heard, I don't know, maybe it's on the upcoming Salt Lake City recap, or maybe it was on something that we already did. But I'm just going to reiterate, I don't need performances with my brunch. I'm barely awake. Please, please don't put a burlesque performer in front of me while I'm just trying to sip my cold brew. Speaker 1 (8:06) They all gather at this table where they all have assigned seats and everything. And everyone, Eugene calls Daisy to ask if she turned off the electricity and locked the door before she left. She's like, yes, yes, I did. She's like, yeah, Speaker 3 (8:23) I Speaker 1 (8:23) left the Speaker 3 (8:23) curling iron and the gas on. Jesus Christ. Speaker 4 (8:27) You start the place on fire one time and he never leaves you alone about it. My God, am I right? Speaker 3 (8:33) So Erica is talking about how Speaker 4 (8:36) she Speaker 3 (8:36) sleeps alone because Anchor is on a business trip and she's like, oh, and I have to stick all of my valuables outside the bedroom door so a burglar will take that and just leave without disturbing me. And then I get the knife. I sleep with the knife. Speaker 1 (8:50) This was Erica's best scene in the episode, I thought. She's like, so this is what I do. Because I'm just kind of like, you know, burglars. They just want the goods, right? So what I do is I gather all of his watches, and I put them in a box, and I put them out my door, and then I lock the door, and I take a knife, and I put it under the pillow, and I sleep that way. And we see her doing this, and she just puts this box out like it's one of those lazy trick-or-treater homes where it's just like, take whatever you want, kids. She just has it out there. I'm like, well, okay, well, I guess now all the thieves of New York City know where to get their goods. No Speaker 3 (9:25) kidding. It's like the most convenient place to go steal now. Speaker 1 (9:29) Yeah. Speaker 3 (9:30) She just has a little sign there. Speaker 4 (9:31) It's all rented. It's all rented. Speaker 3 (9:36) So she tells us that her husband is the CEO and founder of Built Rewards. And he travels a lot for work. And he doesn't even know that she does this. And he would think she's a psycho. But it's her little secret, guys. It's Speaker 4 (9:50) time for a commercial. It's time for a Crappin's commercial. Speaker 3 (9:57) So now everyone starts coming and they're like, oh my God, what's wrong Speaker 4 (10:00) with Sai? What's Speaker 3 (10:00) wrong with Speaker 4 (10:01) Sai? Does anybody know? Speaker 3 (10:02) Well, everyone's going through shit and it's nice to have your friends around when you are,
