This is Wake Up to Wealth, a Podcast, a podcast dedicated to helping you change the way you think about wealth. And now here's your host, Brandon to Helping You Change The Way You Think About Wealth. And now, here's your host, Brandon Brittingham. This next segment is brought to you by my good friends at Accruity. Now if you run a business most business owners neglect their back office and they don't even know where to go or who to trust when it comes to their financials or CPA or taxes. That's where Accruity comes in. You can trust them, they can give you advice and they understand the back office. Listen, you're not running a business correctly if you don't have a hold of this and it's really hard to trust people that are out there and most people and most frankly work for the IRS and don't work for you. That's not the case with Accruity. Check my good friends out at Accruity for any needs that you have when it comes to helping with your back office, getting your book straight, getting your taxes correct, and they guide you and give you advice, which most firms don't. So check out my guys at Accruity, tell them I sent you. Hey what's up everybody, we are back with another episode of Wake Up to Wealth, and I start every show by telling you guys, thank you, and thank you guys, and I'm, and I'm, and I'm, and I'm, and I'm, and I'm, and I'm, and I'm, and I'm, and I'm, and I'm, and I'm, and I'm, and I'm, mean it because we are trending at about 125,000 downloads per episode and I can't thank you guys enough. We remain in the top five, most weeks were top three, top two, we've hit one multiple weeks on Apple Podcast and Investing and that is not possible without everybody that's out there listening and supporting the show. And it gives me the ability to not sell out to corporate sponsors and talk about what I want and bring people to people on my show that I believe is going to bring a bunch of value. So I can't say thank you guys enough for continually to support the show, make us one of the top in the United States. Thank you guys so much. Brings me to where we are today and super excited because I got two people that I'm extremely close with and have had the opportunity to coach them, being on the inside of their businesses for a really long time. Two pretty special people today. I got Alex Corona and Jamie Burks. Welcome. So happy to be here. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. on it. So just tell everybody kind of and you guys do a lot but like just give give them give us the two minute like tell us what you do explain to what you explain what you guys do. So we are full-time real estate brokers and investors and we run a team of about 25 agents just south Chicago. Yeah. Alex has a lending loan officer at license as well. It'll agent. So I'm we have a big team on the lending side. title agents, we're big investors, learned it from you. We're big on the investment side and we run a investment company alongside the real estate team. Yeah. So one question is you guys do a lot of stuff, right? And you guys are basically business partners, but you're also life partners. Absolutely. Which is, I think is three times as hard, right? So, you know, my fiance runs a huge part of my business, and man, it is great. it comes with as challenges. So how do you think you guys like how do you manage this? How do you do it? My main thing is I try to stay in my lane. So I know what I have to do in my part of the business and Jamie knows what she has to do in her part of the business. I don't ask too many questions on that side. I just when something's not right on my end that's when I pretty much talked to her about it but just try to stay in your lane and do a good job because I want to make sure she's happy what I'm happy what I'm I think for me we're kind of two totally different people and we handle two different parts of the business so Alex is what they call the rainmaker he's constantly making rain with clients and agents and big on social media I'm more of the problem solver negotiator back of the scenes type of person so I think that's why it does work because we're handling something totally different even though we see each other all day long yeah there's times we're going at it I think it works because again we're two totally different people so I think that just he's got a lot of energy I'm kind of just the calm laid back she's definitely one of my coaches as well you know she wasn't for Jamie I wouldn't be where I'm at and she definitely brings me back because there's times I'm running full speed in the wrong direction she's got to slap me in the back of the head turn me in the right direction get me jogging the right way even when you listen to you listen to you I think that through you Yeah, and then so how do you guys like, because I, one of the reasons why I wanted you guys to come on here is because there's so many people that I know that I coach or that I'm in business with or that are entrepreneurs where they have a similar situation than you, with you guys and it's a challenge, right? So, I mean, I think when you're business with your business with your, I think when you're business with family, it's freaking three times as hard then if not, right. plays into the day-to-day business stuff. So how do you guys maintain like, you got the business side, but then you got the relationship side. How do you maintain that so that you guys don't have problems? What I think is the best between me and her is we're aligned. Yes, we have two different thoughts, but we are lying on the same mission. You know, where you go at the same vision, the same mission, the same mission. We have three boys. We have three boys, and we are on the same mission with them. we're on the same mission with the business and we integrate the whole family, our boys, her and I, and it seems like we're never working, you know, doing it that way, it seems like we're just together and figuring things out. Yes, I think the destination, like the goal is the same for the two of us. The journey on how to get there may be very different, but also we are, we're not big dweller, like I'm not dwelling on something so we could literally have an argument and then five and then five and later like we have to do this now and it's just because we have so much going on
