Speaker 1 (0:00) Hello everybody, I hope you're all well and welcome back to another episode of Voice Notes with Jordan and Teresa. How is everybody doing today? I have made a drastic change in my life. And anybody else that has made this change in their life ever will understand why this feels so drastic. People that haven't may not get it, but let me explain. I'm not sure if people have noticed the difference. I'm not sure. I took out my septum piercing. So I don't actually know. when it crossed my mind to take it out. But I remember I was walking, I remember it very vividly. It was literally Friday. Already, I'd been thinking a little bit about wanting to take it out. But on Friday was the first time that I vocalized it. On Friday, I was walking. I remember I was changing from the Piccadilly line to the Jubilee line. And I was saying to my boyfriend, you know, I think I want to take it out. And then literally the next morning, I took it out. I feel like this is me entering my late twenties. I know I keep talking about that a lot and we are going to get onto that, but I took it out just as like a, Oh, I wonder what it looks like when it's out. Cause I literally have not taken this piercing out of my nose. I got it when I was 22 and I'm 27. So I haven't taken it out of my nose. for five years, over five years, actually. Obviously, to be fair, when I cleaned it, I would clean it when it was still in my nose. So like, I literally, actually, no, that's a lie. When I had to get my appendix out, I had to take it out then. But I, yeah, no, so I just had this urge and I took it out and it just felt right. It just felt right. I feel like, I mean, people have been complimenting my hair recently. I have a new hairstyle at the moment and I'm turning 28 this month. Happy 1st of October. And I just... feel myself entering this new phase of my life and new phase equals new look. It's not necessarily that I've done it intentionally. Well, there's a lot of reasons why I took out the septum piercing. I've always, you know, I think I've said a lot on this podcast about how like the red hair, the septum piercing, the tattoos, like it feels like, it feels a lot. It feels a lot. And don't get me wrong, for many years, I was down with being a lot. Hell yeah. But now I, it's not like I necessarily want to be subdued or anything like that, but I think I was just like, I just want to be, I just want to turn it down just a tad. I just want to turn it down a touch. Like that's how I felt. And also, honestly, I think the biggest reason why I took it out. is because in my day-to-day life, I really don't wear makeup that often. Like I probably say I wear makeup, it's giving Hannah and girls, it's like I wear mascara on Fridays. I wear makeup twice a week. I wear makeup to film on my filming days on Thursday and then I'll wear makeup on the weekend if I'm doing something. But I very rarely wear makeup and I think that the septum ring for me personally looked, it looks more severe when you don't have makeup on. And honestly, I used to be rock and roll. I used to have bright red hair and I... my brow piercing and the septum piercing. I was fucking crazy, but I just wanted to tone it down a little bit, but I took it out and I was like, you know what? I'm missing something. So I'm missing something. So I'm not sure if you guys can see, but I got a sparkly stud. I actually used to have a stud in my nose when I was a beautician because you weren't allowed to have like a hoop or a septum or anything. So when I was a beautician, I had a sparkly silver stud like this and it was so iconic. But if anyone has any advice on the best way to heal nose piercings, because I always get that dreaded bump. I've had my nose pierced twice and I've always gotten the bump. I'm actually, so what I've done differently is what I used to do. is I used to, you know, they don't put makeup on it. I used to put makeup on it and then clean it afterwards. What I actually did this time was I've actually avoided putting makeup on the entire area. And then afterwards I just put a little bit of saline on a cotton pad and I just like tried to clear up around the outside a little bit, just in case any like loose powder got on there. But I am so determined to get this nose piercing to heal because I think it looks so good. I feel like it represents me in this new era of my life. I know I keep talking about my Saturn return. My Saturn return isn't even coming till I'm 29. So I don't understand why I'm getting so ahead of myself, but I know I keep talking about my Saturn return. I know I keep talking about the fact that I feel like I'm changing so much. I think I'm feeling particularly reflective and like pensive at the moment because I, you know, I remember when I was like 24, 25, Speaker 1 (4:42) I banged on about how, oh my God, the most changing you do is between the ages of 21 to 24 because I transformed so much during that period. And for some reason I thought, maybe it's because there's that whole like your frontal lobe finishes developing or whatever. I thought that not much would change from the age of 25. Like I really, really didn't think much would change after 25. But I cannot get over that in such a short period of time, because I've lived in this flat for two years now and I'm planning on moving next year. And I just still cannot get over that it's only been two years and I feel like I have completely changed and transformed as a person. Like I don't know what particularly... I don't think I can pinpoint something specific in the way that I've changed. I just think two years ago, I feel like I think about that person and I feel like I'm looking at a child. Like I feel like I'm looking at a child. Like I feel like I've actually really... grown up in the past two years and I feel like really proud of myself and I feel like very like I'm growing I'm changing I'm entering my late 20s and that's so exciting like in a few years time I'll be 30 which is so exciting and yeah basically I don't even know how this even got on with my septum piercing but you know what it's like when you're at one of those like very reflective periods in your life that like any sort of change that you make feels very significant and taking out my septum ring felt very significant. I even like announced it on my Instagram story. Speaker 1 (6:20) Whereas if you're like, girl, it's just a hoop. But no, you know what? When it's in the center of your face, I feel like, again, people that have septum piercings walk at it. Like it feels like a weird part of your identity. But like, I just had enough. Like I'd actually just had enough and I just wanted a change and I just wanted something different. So now I've got my little stud. I've got my stud, my curly hair and my side parting. Like I am a new woman, you guys. But yes, how is every... doing today. I hope everybody is having a great start to their Monday. What have I been up to this week? Apart from getting my nose pierced, I am actually, oh guys. You know how I was banging on to you guys about how I finally found an exercise I like. I love bar classes. My bar studio fucking shut down. Are you joking? I actually cannot get over it. Like I am still grieving. I used to go to bar core and they shut down and... This week, I've basically been on the hunt for a new bar studio. I went to, tried a new bar studio and I didn't like it. And I'm gonna now try this one in Tottenham Court Road, which just feels really long. Like, I really liked the fact that this bar studio was like very local to me. It was like a 20 minute walk from me. I feel so sad still. But if anyone has any bar class recommendations in North London, Northwest London, please let me know. Maybe even Central London. Because I'm honestly, I just want to go somewhere good. I don't think I realized how good I had it until- I went to this other bar class in, oh, I don't want to be shady boots, but I went to this other bar class and I just was not vibing with it. Like I didn't think it was very good. I don't think the flow of the class made much sense. I just, I just really didn't enjoy myself. But Anyways, I've been on the hunt for a new bar class. That's what I've been up to. I got my nose pierced. And honestly, like it's just been a very, very chilled week this week. I celebrated my billboard with my parents, went out for dim sum. And then I went to an engagement party on the weekend. And then I just chilled with my boyfriend on Sunday. Very chilled, relaxed day. And then this weekend, again, it's another chilled one. I'm actually going on a so... Solo mooch day on Saturday. It won't be a super long mooch because I'm going for pizza and then Cobby's dad's pub is doing an open mic night. So we're going to go to that. So I can't be mooching for too long, but I want to go on a little solo mooch day because Vivian's Vintage is doing a pop-up and I am just in the mood to buy some clothes. I want to buy some clothes. I want to buy some clothes. I want to buy... Is this the thing? I've actually got a lot of like pieces, like a... don't actually think I need any more clothes but I think maybe what I'm more on the hunt for is maybe some accessories I'm not gonna go crazy because I know that Offcut which is one of my favorite uh small brands in London Offcut are releasing their autumn winter collection soon so I want to like plus I want to get something from the Aquino drop so like I am not gonna go crazy but I just want to buy like a little accessory or like I want to buy like a little top or something like I just want to I just want to get something. But yeah, so I'm going to go on a little mooch day and that's in Columbia Road. So I think I might just like, I want to look at some ceramics. Like I, do I want to buy them? No, but I just want to have a mosey about and look at some. bowls and look at some spoons and look at some things, you know, because I'm going to be moving in the next year. And I want, I mean, to be fair, when I move, I'm not going to buy that much home decor anyway, because I'm trying to do it on a budget. But I just want to, you know, have a little mooch around for some inspiration. Do you know what I mean? But yeah, no. So I'm doing that on Saturday. Sunday, I'm going for a roast. And yeah, honestly, pretty. chill time not much to update you guys to be honest this is why taking my septum piercing out feels so severe because I haven't really got that much going on in my life right now apart from just like working and chilling which to be fair I was talking to you guys about how like I'm really looking forward to the autumn winter to be able to like just spend some like have some of my own time and stuff so this is actually really really nice like I finally get to relax on the weekend it's gonna be really really nice and Yeah, no, shall we do some thoughts of the week? I have one thought of the week and I remember what it is. So my thoughts of the week this week of the 28th of September, 2026. Speaker 1 (10:56) David Guetta is the reason I am the woman I am today. I've been listening to, what is it? It was like, you know how when Spotify suggests you a bunch of songs, I actually don't know what the initial song was, but it suggested a David, so first of all. David Guetta, what a man, like genuinely what a man, what a DJ. And my childhood is shaped by David Guetta and Calvin Harris. And like, do you remember how big house music was? from the years of maybe like 2009 to like 2014. I mean, it's always going to be big, obviously, but like that was when it was really, really mainstream. Like I remember that Calvin Harris album, 18 months. Oh my God, literally maybe one of the best albums of all time. And this David Guetta song came up on like my Spotify, like automatic playlist. You know, the song that's like, what am I supposed to do? Speaker 1 (11:54) No getting over. There's no getting over. There's just no getting over you. Oh my God. And then I was just
