Speaker 8 (2:57) Hi guys, welcome to another episode of Two Teas in a Pod with myself, Teddy Mellencamp. And Tamara Judge. Hi, Tamara. Hi, Speaker 1 (3:04) well today we're going to be covering headlines and there seems to be a lot of headlines in the Bravo universe. There Speaker 8 (3:10) is a lot of headlines in the Bravo universe. Speaker 1 (3:13) Some that I don't even really want to get into details. It was a very surprising week. A surprising week. And we'll get to Speaker 8 (3:22) that. Well, let's start out. We'll start out easy. We'll talk about the trailer for the new series, The Golden Life. Speaker 1 (3:30) Now, have we decided if we're going to talk about this or no? I Speaker 3 (3:33) don't know. I after seeing the trailer, I don't know if I need to. Like, I don't. I didn't like Speaker 1 (3:41) it. Speaker 3 (3:45) I don't know. It's like to me, it's like buying a fake purse. Speaker 1 (3:51) It's like a knockoff that you're saying. Yes. You never know when you might be on that knockoff show. So don't be talking shit about it. OK, they call you right now and say, I know what they got paid. I talked to some of those girls. I'd be like, yeah, I'm in. I'm in. Speaker 3 (4:05) Call me a knockoff. And then I'd be like, damn, Dolores, you better recap my ass. Speaker 1 (4:13) Well, I think it's good that the girls from Housewives that are no longer on there, you know, have somewhere to go if they wanted to. Speaker 3 (4:22) You know, I like that, too. But I can't I'll never be able to not be able to call it the Golden Girls. Speaker 1 (4:28) I know. I know. I don't know that they should have named it that. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, Speaker 3 (4:37) it limits a certain Speaker 1 (4:38) age. But Speaker 3 (4:38) then Speaker 1 (4:38) again, remember, Housewives came from a knockoff of Desperate Housewives. It was around the same year. So it went from desperate to real. Now we are real housewives to the golden life. And most of them on the show are in their golden years. What year is starting golden? How about golden housewife? Like they probably couldn't. I don't Speaker 3 (5:04) know. They can't probably say housewife. Speaker 1 (5:10) Yeah, they can because Orange County Housewives was able to call that after Desperate Housewives. Speaker 8 (5:15) Oh, yeah, true. Speaker 1 (5:17) I would say 60. Speaker 3 (5:20) So I have Speaker 1 (5:20) some time. You have some time. You have some time. For me to kiss up to them. But there was some talk that I heard, I don't know how real it is, that they're interested in doing other cities. So somebody has reached out that's doing the show to some girls from Orange County in the past asking if they'd be interested. Well, Speaker 3 (5:45) that would make sense. I mean, especially if it does well. Do you want to be called the Speaker 1 (5:49) golden life? No. Speaker 3 (5:53) Hello, I'm 45 and I'm dating a 31-year-old. You're too old. I cannot be called that. Speaker 1 (5:58) Well, actually, chat GPT says 50 plus is considered golden years. No. Speaker 8 (6:04) Is that, when do you get a discount at the movie theater? Speaker 1 (6:08) 65, right? Yeah. Speaker 3 (6:10) So like, I don't know. Speaker 8 (6:12) And then you get like Speaker 1 (6:12) social security and all that stuff, like at 64 or 65, something like that. I heard Terry, Terry Dubrow talking. He's been doing a lot of podcasts lately and he's a big believer in peptides and GLP ones and all that kind of stuff. And he said within a year, one to three years, there's going to be stuff that we can take that is going to prolong our life for many, many years. Speaker 8 (6:37) Really? Speaker 1 (6:38) Yeah. Speaker 3 (6:40) Well, I mean, I think there's so much stuff going on. I mean, I also saw that there was going to be flying cars. Speaker 1 (6:49) Is it going to be a DeLorean? Speaker 3 (6:52) Are Speaker 1 (6:52) we going back to the future? Speaker 3 (6:55) No, it's also some new Tesla that's going to be flying by the end of the year. Nothing Speaker 1 (6:59) surprises me anymore. Like we have these cars that are driving Uber. The Waymos. Waymos with no driver. And I say, I am not ever getting in one of those. Ever. I got in one and it Speaker 8 (7:09) was really fun. Speaker 1 (7:11) Yeah, until it goes rogue. Did you see the robot, the medical robot that went rogue? I don't know if it was AI, but this mother running around town, leaping over people, jumping over cars. He's like, no, I don't want to work in a hospital. He got Speaker 3 (7:27) pissed. Speaker 1 (7:28) Yeah. Speaker 3 (7:29) Please tell Speaker 8 (7:30) me that you've seen the girl online that she names. She is always in the farm and she's talking about her pets. And she's like. Speaker 8 (7:39) Methamphetamine! Speaker 3 (7:40) No! Oh Speaker 1 (7:41) no, next time you see it, you gotta Speaker 3 (7:42) send it to me. It's so good. I need a good laugh. Speaker 1 (7:45) Like, Speaker 3 (7:45) one's name, Fingernail. She's like, Fingernail! Methamphetamine! Anybody named Butthole? Speaker 1 (7:53) That's what I call Capri one smile. Listen, butthole. Listen, butthole. Speaker 3 (7:56) Oh, Speaker 8 (7:57) my God. She makes me so happy. I can't believe I haven't sent you these videos yet. She'll spam me now. It's so good. But it's like she's chasing these emus and shit around. And it's just you guys all need to follow her. It's good. So Speaker 1 (8:10) I saw this house. I'm always looking at houses. Speaker 8 (8:15) Yeah. Speaker 1 (8:16) And it's a ranch. It's not in Orange County. It's in California. And it's 11 acres. And it's got enough room, land to build like two other, 30 other houses. It already has a guest house. And it's got- Is this your Speaker 8 (8:34) way of asking me to move in with you? Speaker 1 (8:36) Well, there's a 1,200 foot, 12,000, wait, 1,200 square foot guest house with a garage, everything in it. And I think I'm going to go look at it. Speaker 8 (8:48) Well, you said California. Where in California? It's Speaker 3 (8:51) an Speaker 1 (8:51) hour away from here. Speaker 8 (8:52) An hour away. Speaker 1 (8:53) Yeah. Yeah. And yeah, I don't know. Well, that's pretty exciting. Speaker 1 (9:02) I need to buy another house. You're Speaker 8 (9:05) ready. You're ready. You're primed. Speaker 1 (9:07) Yeah. After I just had construction done here. But we'll keep, we would keep this house. But it's just, it's just a thought. It has horse corrals. It has the paddock. It has, they have llamas there and a ostrich. It's just really cool. Really? I thought it has gardens. It's got orchards. It's got vineyards. You've got to send me the video. I Speaker 8 (9:33) mean, Speaker 1 (9:33) the link. And the house needs a little updating inside, but it's a big house. That's the only problem. I'm like, do you really want something? It's like a seven-bedroom house. Do you really need something that big? I don't know. I could see myself. Well, it has to be the right house. I don't want to move to another track house. I just don't want to do that. My dream is to have like... a ranch like to have land it doesn't necessarily be like a working rent but like land just a lot of space and land and because i don't leave my house teddy i leave my house to go to my other house you know listen Speaker 3 (10:10) i left my house one time this week one time and Speaker 1 (10:14) he's like this is perfect it's got a full-blown gym it's got a giant like barn that's like used for like I don't know, work barn, not like, you know, animals barn. Then there's stalls for horses and I don't know. It's a thought. It's a thought that's brewing. Well, I like it. Speaker 3 (10:32) I like where your head's going. Yeah. And then what did you do this weekend? Speaker 1 (10:40) Well, we came home from Big Bear on Saturday. Yeah. And we spend a lot of time walking the dogs. I am actually losing weight. Speaker 1 (10:54) That I don't need to lose. We walk them all the time. And it's actually fun. Like I told, I asked Eddie the other day, I go, do you feel like the dog is like brought us closer? He's like, well, I feel like he's the same thing. I feel like we're pretty close. I don't know what you're talking about. Speaker 3 (11:10) Yeah. And I'm Speaker 1 (11:11) like, we are spending more time, like quality time. And he's like, yeah, you're actually right. Yeah. Because we're like walking the dogs and everything's so cute. We get up in the morning now. We have a new routine. Speaker 1 (11:23) I usually get up earlier than him and then I take the dogs out to the bathroom and they run upstairs and jump on him in bed. Then he comes down. Then we never sit downstairs. We're always upstairs. We sit downstairs and hang out with the dogs and take them on a walk. And yeah. Speaker 3 (11:40) Well, I had my first, um, the Valley guys like, Hey, do you want to come to a beach day? Okay. No, never. Well, I did it and I had fun and I liked it, but you have to imagine one. I got in the ocean too. I sat there in a bathing suit. Okay. Like these are things I just haven't done. And I don't think I've done them since you Speaker 1 (12:06) have it. I don't think you have. Speaker 3 (12:08) Yeah. So I was like, oh, that's nice. Yeah, it was nice. I needed a day to like get out and do stuff. Speaker 8 (12:15) But Speaker 3 (12:16) it was I mean, it was really it was really a fun day. And then it was like afterwards, I was kind of sad it's over. But then this morning I was like wrecked. Speaker 1 (12:26) Why? Speaker 3 (12:27) I don't know. Speaker 1 (12:28) I Speaker 3 (12:28) overdid it. Probably overdid it. But I mean, here's the thing. I have to, if I don't do these things like once a Speaker 8 (12:34) week, if I don't figure out a way to like get out and do stuff, then I mean, I'm going to go insane. Speaker 1 (12:42) Yeah. Yeah. I try to tell my son Spencer that who's very much a homebody, which I, of course, I stressed over him over the weekend. I think I told you he got laid off from his job. He was working for a startup. He was doing marketing. Speaker 1 (12:56) It's just so hard in that industry right now to find work. Speaker 8 (13:01) Yeah. Speaker 1 (13:01) And he's like, mom, I'm putting out like four applications a day. And I'm like, don't worry. I got you covered. I don't want your help. He's always like, I should, one less stress. I'm able to help you. I am going to help you just keep looking for a job. Speaker 8 (13:15) Yeah. You'll find something when it's right. Speaker 1 (13:17) Yeah. He's like, I feel like I'm after. six years of college. I'm going to have to go back work in Starbucks. And then I'm like, well, with marketing, like a lot, AI has taken over a lot of that because that's Speaker 2 (13:29) what Speaker 1 (13:29) he was doing at his last job. And I'm like, well, why don't you take some classes on AI? And he's so against it. It's so funny how some generations are like, no, no. Speaker 8 (13:38) I feel weird about AI. Like I don't talk to, like, I don't have, what's the name of the main AI person that I've ever talked to? Speaker 1 (13:44) Claude. Speaker 8 (13:45) I don't talk to Claude. Speaker 1 (13:47) I don't even know who that is, but like, just hearing them say they take all your information and like, it's crazy. Like all don't say anything on it or ask anything on it for a while. Then yesterday, maybe you guys can help me. Capri, like she eats Hills dried food. Rugby of course is on some super expensive fresh food and all that stuff. But I was afraid of changing it to get her stomach upset. Well, her stomach is upset all the time. It's like, she's just, it's like cow patties all over my backyard. She shits like 25 times. And then, you know what it is when you have fake grass, it melts into it. So I'm like, yeah, and then it Speaker 8 (14:25) stinks and you have to like wash it off. They're like, Speaker 1 (14:27) give her a pumpkin. So I give her a couple of tablespoons of pumpkin. I give her probiotics, nothing. I tried changing the food to another dried food, nothing. So what I did was I started giving her boiled chicken and white rice, but I don't know how long I can do that. I
