Speaker 4 (0:00) This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed human. Speaker 1 (0:06) Two Teas in a Pod with Teddy Mellencamp and Tamara Judge. Speaker 2 (0:13) Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Two Teas in a Pod with myself and Teddy Mellencamp. Teddy. Hi, Tam. Hi. This ain't Bravo that we're going to be recapping today. No, no, this definitely ain't Bravo. This Speaker 3 (0:26) ain't Bravo. This is a lot. We're going to be talking about secret lives of Mormon wives and Doing episode one through three. Yes. Speaker 2 (0:37) Because as you guys know, like five episodes dropped and it's kind of hard to recap like streaming like this. It was a doozy. Speaker 3 (0:44) The first three episodes. It was such like. Jerry Springer. Yeah. I mean, the fact that this I mean, they are so messy. It's unbelievable. But before we even get into recapping, Michaela leaving the show. I Speaker 2 (1:04) know. I know. Speaker 3 (1:06) It's so sad. On her Instagram, she said, I made the decision over a week ago after hearing some news that I will not be continuing the show after this moment, adding I'm not comfortable being part of something that continues to platform behavior I don't agree with. And for me and personally continuing to directly profit from this behavior feels wrong and unethical. This shouldn't be relatable or entertaining in any way. It's enabling for years and I'm not going to be a part of that again. Speaker 2 (1:31) So do you think that she was, potentially let go? Or do you think that she, because they already have another season banked, right? Speaker 3 (1:38) Yeah, I don't know. I don't think she, I don't think she was potentially let go. I think she's done with Taylor Frankie Paul. And they'll just keep bringing that train wreck back. Yeah, they're not going to. And I think that them keeping Taylor on was enough to push Michaela over the edge. Like she's like, I just can't do this anymore. Speaker 2 (1:58) Yeah. Because you could tell it really was starting to weigh on her. Well, you can see crumbling in this cast. And I was talking to Caden. I go, I don't think the show's going to be around much longer. He's like, oh, yes, it will. It's highly rated. And I'm like, it just seems like the cast is crumbling. Divorces are happening. People are leaving. People like Whitney are becoming, she's so talented. She's becoming so famous that she's going to go on to do other things. So I don't know. I guess they've already ordered 20 episodes. Yeah, 20 Speaker 3 (2:27) more episodes. But Speaker 2 (2:27) don't you think it needs a little refresh? I don't know that I think it needs a refresh. Speaker 3 (2:32) Okay. Like, I enjoy it. I also, it... Makes me incredibly uncomfortable the entire time I'm watching it. Speaker 2 (2:42) Yeah. Well, let's get right into it. So this is one through three, guys. The season premiere opens with the girls talking about Taylor, Frankie Paul, domestic violence allegations. Now, the girls say in their confessionals there's way more than what the public actually knows. They flash to tons of content creators reporting on a DV and The Bachelorette being canceled. You know what's funny about these reality shows? Bravo including. They talk about don't talk to bloggers, don't talk to bloggers, but they're actually employing bloggers at this point. Yeah, at this point they're just like letting that money roll. I think Speaker 3 (3:20) the hard part for me to wrap my head around in regards to this show is that we know that we're a season behind. Speaker 2 (3:27) Yeah. Like, well, I feel like they've already Speaker 3 (3:30) done an entire season since like six, six has already filmed. Speaker 2 (3:33) Yeah. That's crazy. I think the problem for me this season, like everything was leaked. Yeah. Everything was leaked. So we know all this stuff. And then I keep thinking as she's talking about the bachelorette and I'm like, why are you exposing this? And I remember, oh shit. Cause this was like over a year ago and Speaker 3 (3:52) they held on to this. Yeah. I know, but still, there's still a lot that we had to learn. Like, I was like, oh, my gosh. So it starts with January 6th. Taylor returns from filming The Bachelorette. This is five weeks until production pause. Macy, Michaela, and Jesse met Taylor's top three guys. They hoped she wouldn't choose Doug. Of Speaker 2 (4:14) course she's going to choose the one person that nobody else would want her to pick. Did you catch on that Taylor unfollowed most of her cast? Yeah, I did. I saw that. Like, that's crazy. It's crazy. Yeah. I mean, all the girls are thriving. They have books. They have movies. They have Broadway. Everyone's getting plastic surgery. Jen got her boobs done. Jessie got her eyes done. Layla got her boobs look uncomfortable. They look painful. They're in her throat. Yeah. She's like. Speaker 3 (4:45) I'm like, what are you doing, girl? In her confessional, Taylor, when she reveals that she's engaged to Doug, and we already know what's happened. We already know that shit's hit the fan. Like, Taylor picking the guy with the most red flags is very on point for Taylor. Right, right. But then Speaker 2 (5:03) when we hear them talk on the, or when she's talking about him or the things she says about him, it doesn't sound like he's into her. And she doesn't seem like she's into Speaker 3 (5:12) him either. No, no. So why'd they even pick each other? I mean, we have to also remember she had sex with Dakota the day before she left and the day she got back. And she Speaker 2 (5:22) says, claims she's in love with Ben. Speaker 3 (5:25) Poor Ben. Poor Ben. Speaker 2 (5:28) Is that the guy that she just let go? Speaker 3 (5:31) Yeah. Well, Miranda tells Layla that Chase's DUI is now public information. She's worried how this will affect her children. Layla uses this lunch to give Miranda some other bad news. Shania hooked up with Chase while she was living with Miranda Renfrew. Speaker 2 (5:47) Shania is nasty. Piece of shit. Like a friend coming into your house and... hooking up with your husband? Like, ugh. She's dead to me, too. Speaker 3 (5:59) Yeah, like, I don't need to ever hear Shania again. Speaker 2 (6:02) No. I Speaker 3 (6:03) don't need to see her. I don't want to. I mean, I'm glad we didn't see her this season. I don't know. And then we get kind of a little bit of, like, Chase. We see how, like, Miranda is constantly protecting Chase. Speaker 2 (6:16) Mm-hmm. Speaker 3 (6:17) Even though Chase pretty much treats her like dog shit. Speaker 2 (6:20) Well, I think Miranda is one of the most just down-to-earth good girl on that show. Yeah. She really is. Like, she puts up with a lot of shit, and I think she does it just because she wants to co-parent with this guy. But he's a douche lord. Speaker 3 (6:40) He's such a douche lord. If you follow him on Instagram, it's unreal. And he's been posting so many things with Marciano. Speaker 2 (6:51) Really? Speaker 3 (6:52) Yes. And it just gives me the ick like no other. Speaker 2 (6:56) Yeah. Speaker 3 (6:59) But Taylor invited Dakota over to her house the same night she got home from The Bachelorette. Speaker 2 (7:06) I mean, interprofessional Taylor Toews production. She slept with Dakota while being engaged to Doug. In shocking news, Dakota also has a girlfriend, Teddy. Speaker 3 (7:19) There's nothing that they can do to shock me at this point. Speaker 2 (7:22) I mean, what the actual Jerry Springer is going on here. She's comparing Dakota to an addiction. These two thrive off of dysfunction. I say get married and just live your life. doing the shit you guys do to each other. I can't Speaker 3 (7:39) because Speaker 2 (7:39) there's Speaker 3 (7:39) so many videos now. There's another video leak. Did you see it? No. From Dakota's roommate. His name's Crew, who now Taylor Frankie Paul's gotten another restraining order against Crew. She'll start dating Speaker 2 (7:54) Crew soon. I mean, here is Taylor. She's engaged, screwing her old baby daddy who at the last reunion, they wouldn't even look at each other. Yeah. She's in love with a guy named Ben and she has the balls to sit there and go, did you fuck her? Did you fuck her? Did you fuck her? And I'm like, shut up. Shut up. Speaker 3 (8:17) She just can't stop. She can't stop herself. Speaker 4 (8:21) And Speaker 3 (8:22) I understand that Dakota is obviously toxic and he's, he's revving her up and he, you know, gets, gets her to that spot. But I also don't understand how she can even with a straight face tell us that she's not in love with Dakota, that she's in love with Ben. Who she doesn't really Speaker 2 (8:45) know that well, by the way. Who? I don't Speaker 3 (8:49) know that Ben's that into her either, even though it seems like he rolled Speaker 2 (8:53) his eyes in the bathtub, like, Oh God, I got myself a feral one. A real toxic one. Now, Michaela, you see like the red spots, you see her itching her skin. She talks about her health. She's now going to a dispensary to get THC and it has helped her. And I'm like, Hey girl, I'll send you some Vena. Yeah. Speaker 3 (9:17) Yeah. I thought that was a good scene because they were talking. She was she kind of made me laugh about the Mormon thing. She's like Mormons Speaker 2 (9:25) were also against soda, soda. And now look at us. Yeah, they they sell it at the college there. Is that what she was saying? Yeah. So I think that, you Speaker 3 (9:37) know, she clearly I'm glad to see that her and her husband are doing better. So who split up now at this point? Well, Jesse and her husband, right? Jesse at this point. No, no. I mean, now in real life. Currently. Currently now in real life. Jesse split up from her husband. Is Jen pregnant again? She's a hard one for me to handle. Speaker 2 (10:06) Yeah. Speaker 3 (10:07) She's a hard one for me to handle. Layla's broken up with Chase's brother. Thank God. Michaela. I remember hearing that she was taking a break from. Speaker 2 (10:19) Yeah, her husband. But I don't know that they actually split. She just split from the show. Speaker 3 (10:26) No, but for a while Speaker 2 (10:28) she. Speaker 3 (10:29) Yeah, but for a while she actually split from him. They took a break. Speaker 4 (10:36) I'm Kate Hudson. And I'm Oliver Hudson. And Speaker 3 (10:39) Sibling Speaker 4 (10:39) Revelry is back. Join us for a deeply Speaker 2 (10:44) personal, Speaker 4 (10:44) filter-free, filter-free, it's unhinged, Speaker 2 (10:47) slightly. Speaker 4 (10:48) Slightly unhinged, well. Speaker 2 (11:09) While moving into their new rental, Jen tells Zach that her dream, like her dream, is to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Zach wasn't thrilled. And then he's like, topless? I'm like, isn't Sports Illustrated like bikinis? Yeah, but Speaker 3 (11:24) Sports Illustrated's bikinis, but Zach did a post. The fact that I saw this, like, really makes me worry about myself. But Zach cleared something up. He said, listen, they cropped out what I actually said. We weren't talking about if she could be on Sports Illustrated. We were talking about if she was an actress making out with other people. Oh. Like sex scenes. Speaker 2 (11:49) Oh, editing at its finest. So it was like, that's what Speaker 3 (11:54) he was actually saying no about. He wasn't saying, no, she can't be on Sports Illustrated. And the fact that I'm having Zach's back right now really shows the level of people. Speaker 2 (12:03) Do you know that Zach doesn't bug me anymore? Zach doesn't really bug me either. Speaker 3 (12:07) And Speaker 2 (12:08) I think they both had a little bit of a glow up. Speaker 2 (12:11) Well, remember Zach, Speaker 3 (12:12) didn't he have like a, what was his hair situation? Didn't Speaker 2 (12:16) he Speaker 3 (12:16) have a long bob? Speaker 2 (12:17) He Speaker 3 (12:18) had a bob and it was like curly. And then he was like a real dick to Jen. But I also, this is the part I, I mean, there's just so many things. I mean, did you hear that Layla's into women now? Yes, I've seen that. I Speaker 2 (12:35) think the best thing for her is just like work on herself for a little while. Yeah. Speaker 3 (12:39) And then figure Speaker 2 (12:39) it out. Speaker 3 (12:40) They very rarely show, they never have shown her ex-husband. Speaker 2 (12:45) No, they've Speaker 3 (12:47) never shown her ex. We've only seen her kids one time at that play park. Speaker 2 (12:52) That's right. But evidently she's got a lot of money. She's making a lot of money off of this journey because she's buying that Mason guy, like all kinds of presents. I mean, expensive presents. Speaker 3 (13:05) Yeah. Like Cartier rings. Brightland watch. Trips to all over the Speaker 2 (13:13) place. And he's like this. He's like. Speaker 2 (13:17) Brain dead. Five Speaker 3 (13:19) words. I've heard him say Speaker 2 (13:21) five Speaker 3 (13:21) words. Speaker 4 (13:25) Got a Speaker 3 (13:27) personality of the rock. Yeah. I'm not into him. The fact that I like his brother more than I like him is a problem. Well, they're polar opposites. Speaker 2 (13:37) But I think they're the same. Are they? I mean, they might have the same morals, but I mean, personality wise, one just doesn't,
