Speaker 1 (0:35) Okay, I have to say this episode of Roni was so good. I love a complete vacation episode. There's nothing better than arriving at the vacation and still to be continuing the vacation. And that Erin, she sure is insufferable, isn't she? I Speaker 2 (0:55) actually had some empathy for her this week. I hope everyone is tuning in because we are only five episodes in. This is incredible TV. I am obsessed. Three seasons it took, but they finally got it right. This episode was called Trouble in Paradise and we're at Mosquito Island. I thought it was really funny that we didn't see how they got there. We didn't see a Speaker 1 (1:19) plane ride. Why didn't they fly private, Mary? Speaker 2 (1:22) Honestly? Why didn't they? I have a whole theory. Okay, please, let's hear it. Speaker 1 (1:28) Okay, Speaker 2 (1:30) I think Erica grew up with wealth, but not extreme wealth. Waco, Texas wealth, as she likes to say. Exactly, exactly. Kind of like a Bethany Frankel, where they like to have a good deal. She's going to go to Costco. She's going to get an Amazon dupe in that sense. I also think that her husband pays for all their houses and that type of thing. But I think she's living off her own money in the day to day. I think that he doesn't give her a stipend. I Speaker 1 (3:06) mean, maybe not like the full trust. I think a lot of the money comes from his family, too. I know his dad was in tech, and so I think they have a lot of money from that. And obviously he has his company with Martha. But I just think she just doesn't care. She seems very chill. I don't feel like she can't do what she wants to do. I mean, she takes them all to Mosquito Island, which I know is going to be good for the husband to be able to show this off. I just think she's kind of like a cool girl who doesn't give a shit. I like her. I feel like you Speaker 2 (3:34) don't like her. I didn't say I loved the taco story this week. Speaker 1 (3:39) You did. This is the one thing I didn't like. This is so telling. She gets Speaker 2 (3:44) freaking wasted. They have a taco bar at her wedding. She's like, it doesn't taste like Speaker 1 (3:50) Taco Bell. And I'm like, oh, my God. That was Kendra, though. I think that's fun for her is to be like, oh, that's nice, but let me see if I can find it for $15. Speaker 2 (4:20) I guess. Maybe she gets a high off Speaker 1 (4:22) getting a deal. I think she's just like, oh, this is fun. Speaker 2 (4:33) She's Speaker 1 (4:33) like Speaker 2 (4:33) cosplaying. Okay, when they arrive at the island, they have like 10 people on staff. I thought she was super sweet to all the staff, too. And she's like, the first time I came here was in 2021, and I brought... them a personalized beach blanket. And then I kind of realized they don't need a beach blanket. I Speaker 1 (4:52) actually think for people that have a lot of money, that's Speaker 2 (4:55) a lovely gift. Why wouldn't you be using that? I think that was a great idea. Why do you get the person that has everything? Exactly. Exactly. And Speaker 1 (5:03) it was more she didn't want to come empty handed. She was excited to come here. She was excited to experience the island. And she just wanted to show respect. I wanted to bring something thoughtful. Right. And I feel like They rolled out the red carpet for these women, getting Speaker 2 (5:17) greeted right away. They have the golf carts. They have drinks, drinks after drinks after drinks. They have a full, beautiful luncheon ready for them. And when Daisy pretends that she doesn't eat meat, and she says in a confessional later, there was no food. I'm like, what Speaker 1 (5:34) are you talking about? There's so much food available. Also, you guys all gave your preferences to Erica, which she passed along. And you ate brisket last week. Speaker 1 (5:46) And fish. Isn't there quesadillas up there? The weird complaints from Daisy this week, I'm like, girl. I Speaker 2 (5:53) know. I know. And it's interesting because obviously she has seen like a very different lifestyle and she has really seen what the rich and the famous do. Guess what? The rich and the famous come to this island and her trying to pretend like, so this isn't really like your island, is it? Daisy. You have rent, babe. You Speaker 1 (6:16) have popcorn ceilings, babe. Okay, and we were defending you, and now I have to remove my defense. Speaker 2 (6:24) When Carol says, I've been on a lot of trips and on Housewives, this is one of the most beautiful places. I'm going to take Carol's reference point more than Daisy and Erin's. Them whispering, saying it was a dump. I was Speaker 1 (6:40) dying. I couldn't believe it. Are you guys taking crazy pills? This is wild to come on to this trip. And because they might have said a joke about your flooded house, doing it for an insurance scam, you decided you're going to burn the place down with your words. Insufferable. I'm sorry. It's so hard to feel bad for Erin. Maybe the one second I felt bad for her was when she realized Daisy was also talking shit and she thought she was defending her and she realized I actually have nobody. Maybe that's the one second. But I was like, this is wild. Wild to me that you guys have the audacity to come on this trip for free, for work, to get paid to be here and you're assholes. Speaker 2 (7:26) I was. dying. I can't wait to talk more about that with you. But let's talk about the room arrangements. So first we have Erin and Speaker 1 (7:35) Daisy. Erin does have a pullout bed. Okay. I noticed the pullout right away, by the way, when they were showing the room and I started laughing because Erin was so quick to jump into that room with Daisy, not even realizing. How did I realize this right away and you didn't? But also they said they're there for two days. I know. Get over it. And Daisy has a king bed. Sleep in it with Daisy if you have a problem with your pullout, okay? Somebody has to have the pullout at this point. Or ask Erica to sleep in her bed with her. Totally. Totally. Speaker 2 (8:05) Then we have Cy and Haley. Then we have Jessel. Has Jessel always had that back tattoo? Yes. Speaker 1 (8:13) I actually meant to Speaker 2 (8:14) talk about it last week. But yes, she's had that. And then Carol's alone in another room, but she needs her silk pillowcase. Okay, she left Speaker 1 (8:22) it at the airport and it made me think of... Remember when Kim Richards was traveling with that shit pillow? Okay. Speaker 1 (8:32) It just made me think of when Carol was like, I left my silk pillowcase at the airport. Speaker 2 (8:37) I guarantee they don't have a silk pillowcase there. Speaker 1 (8:42) When she tries to break the ice during the drama, like, Carrie, do you guys have any silk pillowcases? My face hasn't touched cotton in 30 years. I said, the delusion. I freaking love it. Speaker 2 (8:51) I know. Okay. Then, sigh of this episode. She Speaker 1 (8:57) really. wanted a moment. She's Speaker 2 (9:00) like, yeah, guys, I'm really, really sick. I didn't sleep. I haven't been eating because a lot's going on in the press. It's like, okay, Sai, do you want to talk about it or do you not want to talk about it? I'm kind of confused. Speaker 1 (9:12) You thought she was looking for a moment? I felt really bad for Sai this episode, especially after she talks about it. And then Erin's like, well, you say damaging things and completely takes the moment away from Sai and makes it about her. felt terrible for Cy. Imagine you're like, okay, it's spring break. The kids are going with David upstate to the house. I'm going to go on this work trip. I'm going to get away, clear my head, even though I'm working. And then right before she leaves, she finds out from TMZ and everyone else at the same time that he filed for divorce before she was able to. I felt bad for Speaker 2 (9:47) her. I did. But I felt like she was trying to have two separate moments. She was having one with Haley and Erica where she wanted to talk about it, but she didn't say it. And then at the table as well. I feel bad for her situation because I think she has been floating David for a really long time. I think she's been like putting up this facade that he's retired and he was not pulling his weight. And she is the one that has completely supported her family. I feel bad in that sense. And I think that he really did come out of nowhere and... she found out from the press, Speaker 1 (10:20) but I felt like she was looking for a moment. She wanted Speaker 2 (10:23) sympathy. Speaker 1 (10:24) Maybe I would want sympathy, too, because I think I would have full panic attacks, anxiety attacks. She's by herself. She's figuring this out. And it's not even the fact that he filed, but the fact that it's public. And I know she talks about that later. This would be crazy because you're probably thinking like, OK, I think I want a divorce. We've kind of mentioned it before. We're separating. I got this place away. But maybe there's a way we figure something out.
