Speaker 1 (0:15) Welcome back to Two Judgy Girls. This Speaker 2 (0:17) is Mary from the Bay. And it's Courtney from LA. Another week, guys. We did it. You did it. I did it. We did it. Happy Speaker 1 (0:26) Friday. I hope everyone catches up on The Traders. I watched it last night. I didn't realize it was two episodes. And I am fully locked and loaded. I loved it last night. So catch up this weekend because Monday we will be talking about it. Speaker 2 (0:42) Unfortunately, though, no Traders episode next week. So they had to double up this week because the MLB postseason starts next week, which is going to be on NBC. Speaker 1 (0:51) I see. I see. The only sport we watch is Dancing with the Stars. And next Tuesday, you guys can join us live on Threads. We will be threading the Dancing with the Stars week three. Speaker 2 (1:05) We're going to do the West Coast version. So 8 p.m. Pacific time. But if you guys want to join in, that will be really fun. We will do reminders leading up to it. If you're not on Threads, go get on Threads because I feel like Threads is the place to be. Speaker 1 (1:17) I agree with you. And you know what? You can be in your sweatpants, eating your airheads and judging with us. Speaker 2 (1:23) Yes, I love that. Okay. It is Friday. What are your weekend plans? Anything good? I Speaker 1 (1:29) do want to go to Tipper on at some point this weekend because that's where Michael and I got married and we will celebrate a little bit more. We had Sush on Wednesday and Michael did buy me a leather item. Oh, no. Speaker 2 (1:43) What did you get him? Speaker 1 (1:45) I got him nothing. Speaker 2 (1:47) Oh, no. Speaker 1 (1:49) Not even a card. Mary. Speaker 2 (1:52) I Speaker 1 (1:53) know. I literally texted him on Wednesday. I'm like, so like, we'll just celebrate on Saturday and we'll go to Tiburon and we'll do the thing. We'll just postpone it till the weekend because obviously I wasn't prepared. Meanwhile, he had gotten me a Prada leather wallet. Very sweet. Actually, he went to the real world. Speaker 2 (2:14) Wait, I love this. Also, you love that movie Serendipity and, you know, the Prada and the Prado on the wallets. Wait, I don't know. I don't love that movie. Oh, you just love the word Serendipity. Speaker 1 (2:30) Yes. Okay. Sorry. Literally, I was just racking my brain. I'm like, wait, do I love that Speaker 2 (2:38) movie? Speaker 1 (2:42) This is what he did. He Googled housewives things, I guess. And what came up was like Hermes. And then he was like, well, I definitely can't afford that. I'm like, what were you looking at? Like Birkins or something? Like, I have no idea. And then it said to go to this store. And I'm like, this store was literally on Real Housewives of New York. It was so funny. And the associate helped him. Speaker 2 (3:08) That's so sweet. Very thoughtful. Are you feeling bad? Speaker 1 (3:13) Oh, yeah, Speaker 2 (3:14) sure. Speaker 2 (3:17) But you were always going to treat him this weekend when you had more time. So I think that's so thoughtful of you. Thank you. Yes. We're going to have a big weekend in Tiburon. Okay. I want to rack your brain a little bit. Speaker 1 (3:27) Taylor Speaker 2 (3:27) Swift's Speaker 1 (3:28) new songs came out last night. What Speaker 2 (3:30) are your thoughts on the first listen? Speaker 1 (3:32) There's four new songs. Okay. So both you and I have only listened once, right? You've only done the one round. Speaker 2 (3:38) Yes. I hated them. And that's, you know, that's okay. I thought those could have been left in the vault. Speaker 2 (3:45) Well, listen again, and maybe my mind will change. Out of the four, I ranked them. The top for me was pink clouding. Same as me. Okay. And then right under it is Babylon. And then like way below that is patient zero. And then like way in the depths of hell, we're in the core of the earth, Cleveland. Speaker 1 (4:07) So Michael was very excited for this Cleveland song because he listens to Cleveland Sports Radio every single day. They had talked about it. He sent me some stuff about it. I was like, yeah, no, it's coming out. And Speaker 2 (4:19) we Speaker 1 (4:20) listened last night and I was like, oh my God, she stops the music and talks about being insufferable. And you just have to find the person that can tolerate your insufferableness. That's not a word, but you see what I'm saying. Insufferability. Sure, sure, sure. It's insufferable regardless. But I just keep on going back to when she released the album and she kept on saying, this is it. This is the only 12 songs. The internet is railing her. It is absolutely hysterical because people are being like, oh, yeah. Travis was in that Ponzi scheme. So she's like, I had to go record four new songs so we could make up that money because Travis is such a moron. Speaker 1 (5:07) The TikTok of Taylor Swift right now is so funny because I don't think anyone is enjoying this music. And everyone's like, we love when she's having a heartache. Unfortunately, she's such a good musician when she's miserable. Speaker 2 (5:20) Unfortunately for her, but fortunately for us. I had sent you a really funny comment I had seen last night that said, Taylor falling in love with Travis is the worst thing to ever happen to my ears. Speaker 2 (5:32) That just made me giggle. I'm so glad she's found her person. And you find that one person who just doesn't think you're insufferable. And that's in Cleveland. And Cleveland feels like a grown up me when she keeps stopping and giving these speeches. And she does Speaker 1 (5:45) that in Patient Zero where she's like rap singing a little bit. Speaker 2 (5:49) Maybe on a second listen and we will listen to it again and we'll probably have different opinions and maybe our rankings will change. But nothing just. captivated me or grabbed me where I was like, yes, this is Taylor. Babylon was the closest song for me that felt like old Speaker 1 (6:05) Taylor. I also love to read a lyric Speaker 2 (6:07) and they weren't available last night when I was listening to the song so that I could better understand what she was saying. Speaker 1 (6:14) Michael was like, where are the lyrics? He wanted to read the Cleveland song lyrics. Speaker 2 (6:19) I did say that I think this season of Orange County is better than the encore songs. And I do feel that my opinion will stay that. But also, I am loving Orange County now. So it's different for me. Speaker 1 (6:34) One more thing about Taylor. I never think she should have put out Life of a Showgirl. She was on such a high from the era's tour. And there was no reason to release this shitty album. Plus... four more songs, but she really is a mastermind. Look how much we're talking about this right now. We've all, Speaker 2 (6:52) all listened. She is so brilliant. Speaker 1 (6:55) She has everyone talking, you know, and a chokehold. Right. And then she's getting this big VMA award. She basically went to MTV and was like, so I'd like to do this award for myself. I just feel like she truly is addicted to fame. And we just started the NFL season. It's like, let Travis have a moment. And Courtney and I have been talking because we're like, when is she going to do the Super Bowl halftime show? And Courtney's like, I don't think she'll do it when Travis is playing. And I'm like, yeah. That's probably a good point. After this, I'm like, oh, she will do it because she Speaker 2 (7:32) wants to be the number one. I Speaker 1 (7:34) still love the girl, but it is kind of crazy. Speaker 2 (7:38) People are also saying, too, that she released these four songs because she had written them, but she didn't want to release an album because the next album would be 13. And, you know, that's her number. And so she's making it an encore to this, which I buy Speaker 1 (7:52) into. Right. So the 13th album. Is the album cover going to be the wedding dress? And this is her new era. This is Kelsey. Mary, that's brilliant. She's holding on to the wedding photos for something. I do believe she will release them. I really do. I think she likes to reward her fans in some way. I don't think we will never. not see them. There's something strange. You're Speaker 2 (8:18) right. The discourse is Speaker 1 (8:19) there. We're talking Speaker 2 (8:19) about it good or bad. In general, I would say we are Swifties and it's okay to not like certain songs. And who knows? We'll go back next week and be like, actually, these are like kind of bops. Speaker 1 (8:31) Courtney, I know when I go pick up Charlie from daycare, I am going to listen to all four of those songs. Of course. And I'm going to start memorizing all the words. As you should. And Speaker 2 (8:41) I'm going Speaker 1 (8:41) to love it. Speaker 2 (8:41) I think that we will. change our tune on some of them. There probably is, too. Okay, guys, this is like a deep pull, but as someone who loved Saved by the Bell, there was an episode. Do you remember when they had this episode where they had the hearts with the names on it and the guys would give them to the girls and they put subliminal messaging in song lyrics so Speaker 1 (9:02) the girls would fall in love with the guys? I vaguely, vaguely remember this. I Speaker 2 (9:07) think Taylor could do this to her songs and put subliminal messaging in it. And we walk away after listening and being like, that song was great. And we're all repeating the same thing over and over. And she's got us. She is a mastermind. She has a chokehold on us. She really does. Truly does. I think we should go more in depth on this after we've given it a few more listens next week. Because, guys, we can't stop talking about it, good or bad. I know. That will be a Patreon episode if you ask me. I would love to also hear other people's opinions on it, too. I don't think we're being too harsh, but, you know, my scale is Speaker 1 (9:43) different. We are here to judge. And Speaker 2 (9:48) you know what? That's a perfect place to plead our case. Okay, let's take a break, and then it's time to plead your case. Speaker 1 (9:57) Mary, you are up first this week. Mary, please plead your case. I am judging Daisy the most this week from Roni, and it's not because she goes on Raya to look. Honestly, I support the browsing. The fact she is paying for Raya, I can't get past that. Upon further research, it is $30 a month. Daisy, babe. Hinge is free. Bumble is free. Tinder is free. I met my husband on Tinder. You
