Speaker 2 (0:00) For many of us, going further isn't a choice. It's a feeling we can't ignore because ambition has a way of outgrowing where it began, turning dreams into direction. Every journey brings us closer to the life we imagine. So where will your journey take you? Etihad, beyond borders. Speaker 4 (0:47) Welcome back to Two Judgy Girls. This is Mary from the Bay. And it's Courtney Speaker 3 (0:52) from LA and it is Friday and I am tired. Oh Speaker 4 (0:58) my God. I cannot believe you saw Kyle Cook last night. I didn't think that would actually transpire just because he didn't go on till 1130. I just want to say I did it for all of us. You really did. I was like. I completely understand if you don't want to go. That is a very late night. Speaker 3 (1:20) When he had posted that he was going on tour, I will be in Scottsdale at the same time. And you know when your eyes are bigger than your stomach and you're like, I could do this. So I'm like, I gotta go. So last week, I'm like, okay, am I gonna do this? I'm gonna DM Kyle and see if he'd be willing to give me tickets to this. I saw him twice Super Bowl weekend. This would be my third time seeing him. So I DM him and I'm like, Kyle, no big deal. Just wondering if you have a list, would love to come. No response. That's okay. No worries. I DM something else. the other day about some story. And then he responded, he was like, oh my gosh, sorry, I didn't see your original DM. Do you still want to come? It was literally yesterday morning. Speaker 4 (2:03) I text Courtney, you got a DM for Kyle. Like this could transpire. Speaker 3 (2:08) And Speaker 4 (2:09) it's like, it's one of those situations where. At that point, it's the day of and you're kind of like, I don't even want to go anymore. Just because you know it's going to be a super late night. You're going to work the next day. You're visiting family. There's a lot going on. Right. Speaker 3 (2:24) And I talked to my sister. She's like, well, we could go. Maybe it would be fun. I said, OK, we're going to do it. We're going to do it. So I DM him like, thanks so much. He's like, you're all set. Thanks, Kyle. It was a Speaker 4 (2:33) very early dinner Speaker 3 (2:34) with my family. I'm talking 530 p.m. And I'm like, yeah, I'll have a glass of wine. It's only six hours until he goes on stage. Mm-hmm. I get a buzz off of a glass of wine and then I'm like, oh, we're going to have a time. But then I'm like, oh, no, I have six hours. I'm tired. Speaker 3 (2:51) But here's where divine intervention comes through, because Threads had sent for the premiere of Traders yesterday a gift card to go get a coffee pick-me-up. So I'm like, I am going to put my hand in every cookie jar that I can today. You sure did. And I said, I'm finding a Paris baguette. Thanks, Julianne. Because on Dancing with the Stars, Julianne did a whole dance to... branded segment of Paris Baguette, if you guys watch that. And so I looked up, I'm like, oh my God, there's a Paris Baguette by where we're having dinner. Speaker 4 (3:26) Talk about this marketing working. Literally. Speaker 3 (3:28) So Speaker 4 (3:29) they Speaker 3 (3:29) have a Dancing with the Stars collab, the Mirrorball Latte and the Mirrorball Matcha. The Mirrorball Latte and Matcha come with a mini croissant Speaker 4 (3:37) on top with Speaker 3 (3:38) a Mirrorball stirrer. So we get home and I'm like, start chugging the latte, I say to Rachel. Speaker 4 (3:46) Because it's 8.30 p.m. What is this night? Also, my how times have changed because even if this was five years ago, you would have went to dinner, continued to stay out and just showed up bombed. We did Speaker 3 (4:04) think, should we just stay out? But we needed to go back and change because I'm like, I don't even know what you wear to this. I didn't bring, and I keep laughing, calling, like thinking about how we close. Speaker 4 (4:13) Going out close. Exactly. Going Speaker 3 (4:14) out Speaker 4 (4:14) close. A going out top. It's always going to be a going out top, Courtney. Speaker 3 (4:18) By the way, my going out tops are some form of a black tank top and pants. But Speaker 4 (4:23) I didn't have any like heels. I didn't know what to wear. Is this a club Speaker 3 (4:27) we're going to? I honestly don't know because the last time I've gone to Old Town and Scottsdale to really party was for a bachelorette like a decade ago. Like you said, my times have changed. Speaker 4 (4:38) It's like in 40-Year-Old Virgin where they're outside in the line. Am I too old to be here? Yeah, am I too old? Speaker 1 (4:46) Tell me I'm not too Speaker 4 (4:47) old to be here. So Speaker 3 (4:50) we like walk up and he had said he put us on a certain list that we have access to somewhere. One of the bottle girls was like, follow me. I'll take you to the area. Speaker 4 (5:00) Okay. Thank you, Kyle Cookie. Glad I put my hand in all the cookie jars. He Speaker 3 (5:05) had put on a story, I will be around at like 10, 1030. And I'm thinking, oh, he's doing fan interactions. You guys, he was being mobbed. Oh, I can imagine. I can imagine. So as we're going through, I'm trying to find the bottle lady, follow her. It is so packed. I lose her. Oh, wow. I lose her in the crowd and Rachel and I are stuck in the middle of this crowd. I'm like, I'm so sorry. I'm just trying to get across. I felt like I was in Legends of the Hidden Temple. Speaker 4 (5:34) Oh, and your claustrophobia probably wasn't liking this one bit. 100%. I'm like, I got to go over. I got to go under. I got to go through. So we finally get to an area, another obstacle course. And Speaker 3 (5:45) I just Speaker 4 (5:46) put my arm up at security and I go, is this where I go? And he's like, Speaker 3 (5:49) get over here. They were so kind there. So he's like, come on through. I'm like, oh my God, thank you. They put you in this area that has one table and then there's a little area of standing room only next to the elevated stage. And so the opener is still going and they just keep letting more people through. So I asked one of the guys, I see some space over there. Do you mind if we go over there? Get Speaker 4 (6:10) over Speaker 3 (6:11) here. Speaker 4 (6:13) I'm with my people here. Speaker 3 (6:15) Totally open table. They pour us a drink. We found this great spot. We're like elevated at the table so we could see what's going on with the DJ booth. Kyle comes out. He looks great, you guys. Now, I did see that a Speaker 4 (6:27) stye is forming on Speaker 3 (6:28) the Speaker 4 (6:29) eye because he's stressed. He's doing something like 10 cities in 11 days. I'm sure all the travel's getting to him and he's probably exhausted if he's starting work at 1130 p.m. Completely. I can Speaker 3 (6:42) tell Kyle is a fan of John's Summit because one of the things that John's Summit says is, Miami, how the fuck we feeling, baby? So Kyle kept saying that over and over, Speaker 1 (6:52) like, Speaker 3 (6:53) how we feeling, baby? He opens his set to say, I'm well aware that probably most of you are here because of a little show called Summer House. I don't take that for granted. And then he's going into it. He's having the best time. At one point, they start grabbing some girls from that side standing area that they can go on stage behind him. Speaker 3 (7:13) I'm going to share this embarrassing moment with you all. Speaker 4 (7:16) Tell me. With all of you listening, I just want you to know I Speaker 3 (7:19) tried to do this for us. Tried. Okay. So we had been there for like a half hour. He's dancing. He also loves to introduce the song that he's going to be playing. So he'll be like, hey, it might be summer, but you're okay to be sad. Cue summertime sadness. Speaker 4 (7:38) Love it. This is so for me. I would thrive in this. Yes. He's Speaker 3 (7:45) going from Diet Coke remix into We Are Young by Fun. The songs are all over the place. We knew that. We've seen him. So the stage gets a little bit cleared because they're clearing girls out so that they can bring new girls in because we are just a rotating wheel of women here. Okay. And it looks like it's a little quiet of who they're bringing on stage. So I look to Rachel. I go, I think this is my moment. Sure. To get up on stage. And she's like, you go for it, Courtney. I'm like, I'm doing this for us. She said, don't do it for me. That's okay. So I go up there and there's just like two girls waiting right there. And I tap security. I'm like, hey, it's just one person. And he's like, yeah, no problem. One of the girls on stage messed with the sound system. So we can only let a few girls go up at a time. Okay, great. My Speaker 4 (8:31) moment. Speaker 3 (8:34) Because I'm going to say, hey, Kyle. And then I'm going to leave. Sure. So I'm standing there, I'm waiting. And all of a sudden I just see a tidal wave of gorgeous, tall, beautiful young women in mini dresses and they take over. And I'm like pushed to the back. And I said, Speaker 3 (8:53) And he said, I do know my place here and it's not on stage for me tonight. Speaker 4 (8:58) So you sat that one back. Speaker 3 (9:00) So I hung my head in shame, turned around, looked at Rachel and said, I think I'm just going to come back for a minute. And then I said, you Speaker 4 (9:09) know, Speaker 3 (9:09) I think we could leave now. Oh, Speaker 4 (9:12) so you never got to talk to him. Speaker 3 (9:14) It was so crowded in this little space. He had a lot of people there. I'm not kidding when I say sardines. It was so smashed with people because everybody just was there to have a good time, dance. He had a crowd. So he did only stay for about 45 minutes in our table section too. Pretty crowded. And unfortunately, claustrophobia did get the best of me where I was like, I think it's just best if we leave on a high. And it wasn't necessarily a high for me because again, the stage incident did. Well, not happen for me, but it was a reminder of, you know where you belong, Courtney, and it's not on stage with Kyle Cook. Speaker 4 (9:48) No, I think you could have gotten up there. I just feel like it just wasn't the right moment. It took over. But Courtney, I've seen you in the back of a DJ. before. So yes, yes. I think in Speaker 3 (10:02) the moment of Scottsdale at Bottle Blonde, it was not a link up. I think it was like, hey, I put you on the list. That's as far as you're going to go. Speaker 4 (10:10) Right, right, right. And know your limitations. Were people talking about Bravo there? Speaker 3 (10:15) There were people that were dressed up. There was some girl that had her ski glasses and a mullet on. There was an entire table of old people. And I don't know if that was because they were dressed for old people as a bachelorette or they were dressed because of Speaker 4 (10:27) the old people party. Speaker 3 (10:28) Oh, yeah. Speaker 4 (10:29) Funny. People Speaker 3 (10:29) were there to have a good time. They were there for Kyle Cook. It was
