One where he thought that these entities that were visiting him were his family members. But after a new series of events, he's beginning to doubt that's the case. My name is Edwin, and here is Corey's true scary story. Speaker 1 (1:42) My name is Corey Gordon. I live in Alabama. I have a couple years ago released a podcast about how I thought I had things going on in my life. How I thought they were about basically my family looking over me and watching me. Making sure I'm doing good. Lately, I think things have changed for the worst. Speaker 1 (2:11) Don't really think personally it is my family anymore. After I did the podcast, things got crazy. First, we had a anniversary party after the podcast. That's when... We had little sensor pumpkins and everything set up. They started going off by themselves. Literally a week after the podcast was aired, doorknobs not turning. I'm thinking somebody's coming into my house and doors locked and nobody's outside. So that's when it started to amp up a little bit. Speaker 2 (2:51) Weeks went Speaker 1 (2:51) by, years went by, nothing really happened as much. Me and my wife moved on, started living our normal lives. What really started making me think that something was wrong. We started getting in fights more often. It was very small things. After the podcast, our Christmas tree we bought, our cats chewed through the cord. We just ended up getting in a big fight about it out of no reason, no reason at all. And then we would just stop and look at each other and go, why are we fighting? And as soon as the fight would stop, things would take off in my house. Speaker 1 (3:31) The first thing that started to take off was about, because after that fight, I would hear my wife's voice in my house. She never called me by my name. It's always baby. I would gradually just be upstairs, be off. My wife is at work. I would be upstairs and just hear baby. My wife's voice just called me from the house. I'd go downstairs only to find out my wife was not home. She's still at work. Things only escalated personally at that point. Me and my family started having issues. From that point on, we have been no contact. And it seems like once that happened, I started hearing my wife's voice in my house. Speaker 1 (4:23) I have a friend who I asked about that. I was like, hey, I hear my wife's voice called me, call baby. First thing he told me was, do not answer this. If you hear your wife's voice and she's not home, don't answer it. And my answer was back to him, I already have. And I was told I welcomed it in at that Speaker 2 (4:43) point. Speaker 1 (4:47) He said, I basically welcomed in the spirit because I answered back to it. Once I heard, once it used my wife's voice and I answered back, he said, that's you. Speaker 1 (5:00) started communication with it. Basically welcoming, telling it that, hey, he answers to you and bringing it closer to me. It happened a lot. Honestly, still to this day, I will be at work and I'll hear my wife's voice or I'll hear somebody call my name and I'll turn around and nobody's looking at me. There's nobody wanting me. I can ask everybody, hey, did you call my name? And they go, no. Speaker 1 (5:28) But I still, plain as day, just hear somebody call my name out of nowhere. But it happens more so at my house with my wife's voice. From that point on, it was mainly that, seeing shadows, hearing things happening through the house. My wife never believed me. She never had it happen to her. So it was more along the lines of, it's your ghost. Your ghost is messing with you. Speaker 1 (5:55) I got a new job at a movie theater. Things started escalating more at home. And I was like, hey, I worked till at my job, I'd work till one or two o'clock in the morning, letting the last movies let out. My wife was fine with it. She'd do her thing. I'd do my thing. Working at the movie theater, things followed me there. Nothing would ever happen until everybody would leave except for one theater that's playing last. Speaker 1 (6:23) I had to close, so I had to make sure all the doors were open to the theaters that were closed, make sure everything shut down. And I would hear doors that I would open would shut. They're magnetized to the wall, so once you push them shut, they stayed shut or they stayed open. Once I opened them up, they would shut on their own through the hallway. I would hear people in theaters. Nobody's in the theaters. They're shut down. The two things that happened to me the worst... at that job was me and my wife. What started it was through circumstances we found that we were pregnant. I haven't really told nobody this, but we, through the months of her mom being pregnant, we lost our child. I think that's honestly where things amped up the most because of negativity behind that of me feeling bad about it, my wife feeling bad about it. It just amped everything up until the point to where I feel like things happened here and my job at that point. And I connect that. those two together now because there was one night I worked at the theater closing by myself. Everybody's already left. Theater's empty, just me. I have to walk through the whole movie theater, projector room, the hallways, theaters, and I know my manager that's with me left. So I go upstairs, check everything, and I see someone in the very end of the projector room, which is a long, dark hallway with just projectors. The lights are off. I see a shadow moving and somebody stand up. I flip on the light going, hey, why are you still here? Nobody's there. And as I turn around, I hear my wife's voice call my name. It's not my name, but it's like I said, it's just baby. I freeze. And that's when I realized. Going through all of this, I felt that at that point, this wasn't someone from my family watching over me. I feel like it's more so something bad beating off the negativity in my house. Negativity of what I have and what I feel. Because it seems to grow when bad things happen. We get in an argument, things happen. We've lost our child. We're both in a very bad place. It just only seems to fade off that and amp up during those times. Speaker 1 (9:02) A while later, I leave that job. I get a new job. I have to travel a lot. Sleeping in hotel rooms are never fun. I get woken up in hotel rooms. Still the uneasy feeling. I make it back home, spend time with my wife like normal. And I get tired of being away and job shuts down. They cancel all of our jobs. So I'm home for a while, depressed, no job because my position shut down. Again, things end up. That's when... My dog started getting into it with, I guess you would say, the spirit. It's almost like my dogs at that point have a French Bulldog and a pit bull Shih Tzu mix. They're very protective of my wife, but they would bark at nothing. And when you think barking at nothing, they're barking at a wall. Or I would wait for my wife to get home, and they would run to the front door barking because the doorknob jingled. like somebody's trying to come in and nobody's outside or they would run upstairs because i heard my bedroom door try to open and my wife's obviously at work just things like that started happening more so while i was going through this depression with everything going on and it stayed that way for a good amount of time My wife started noticing things happening around the house at that point too. She vapes. So one day she would go, hey, have you seen my vape? Speaker 2 (10:39) No, I Speaker 1 (10:40) don't use
