This is not a dream. This is very real. This lady is trying to hurt you and your baby. But I got this. Speaker 1 (0:49) She was supposed to be a twin, but her sibling never made it into the world. And since childhood, she has believed that that loss left the door open between her and something beyond it. My name is Edwin, and here is Naomi's true scary story. I Speaker 3 (1:14) was supposed to be a twin, but I absorbed my twin. I've always felt like I was missing a piece of me throughout my whole life. Speaker 1 (1:28) I've Speaker 3 (1:29) always been able to see spirits. My whole family says the reason I can see things is because I'm spiritually connected to my lost twin. Speaker 3 (1:47) 2006, I had my first memory of seeing a ghost. We had just moved into our new house and we had a detached garage that looked like a barn. I was pulling my little red wagon of stuff from the car to the garage. And then when I entered it, I saw an old man in a white nightgown. Speaker 3 (2:18) hanging from one of the beams of the garage. At first, I was really confused and scared. I didn't know what a ghost was. I never saw a ghost before. I felt like I was staring at it forever, but in reality, it was just seconds. But that was the first start to living at this house, and it was very, very haunted and active. Speaker 3 (2:50) Growing up, we had a Rottweiler. His name was Junior. Speaker 2 (2:55) We loved him so, so, so much. Speaker 3 (2:59) About nine, he passed away. He was my dog, so I took it really hard. One day, we were getting ready to go to a football game, and I was sitting on a pull-out couch that we had, so I was sitting on a mattress. I remember I was counting my coins so I can get something from the concession stand. All of a sudden, I hear the back door open and slam shut. And then I heard claws, like nails, hitting the floor. Like if a dog was running really, really hard. You could see a clear shot from the living room to the back door. So I didn't see the door close, but I heard it. And then I felt something running really fast towards me. Speaker 3 (3:55) And then there was a big jump on the mattress. I'm convinced it was Junior who wanted to let me know that he was there. One night I was in the bathroom. It was the middle of the night. Everyone was asleep. I was just about to walk out when I heard the knobs of the faucet turning on and they turned on full blast. Speaker 3 (4:28) I ran out of there and I ran into the hallway and I was like thinking how I'm going to turn this off. It's really scary. Eventually, I just went back to bed. I never turned it off. My great grandma, she was a very spiritual person. She was like a white witch, so she didn't really practice witchcraft per se, but she was always very spiritual. She would make herbs and put them together in like different foods and drinks to help you feel better. And her house was also very haunted. I basically grew up there, so I was there about 80 % of the time. Speaker 3 (5:21) One day during the day, we're in the kitchen and we would sit in the kitchen and we'd gossip about whatever we felt like gossiping about. Her house was very old. And so she had her cabinets were like covered in thick, thick paint. So the cabinet doors, they would not open and close right away. They would click in and then click out. And that's how you would open the cabinet doors. We were talking, Speaker 1 (5:52) we're both. Speaker 3 (5:54) At the kitchen table, we hear the cabinet door click open. And we watched it slowly open up all the way. She, very annoyed, was like, can you just close that cabinet door? Speaker 2 (6:17) So I watched slowly Speaker 3 (6:20) as the cabinet door closed and it clicked shut. Speaker 3 (6:27) She was always like that. She was just very, she was no nonsense when it came to any kind of spirits in her house. She ran a very tight ship and the spirits were included in that tight ship. There was a little girl who would cry in the middle of the night in the very back Speaker 2 (6:44) room of the house. Speaker 3 (6:46) And my grandma being the tough lady that she was, she would yell at her to be quiet. I basically lived there. I was always spending the night. and I started sleepwalking. Every night I would go to the same spa, which was in her bedroom. We slept in the same bed. So I would get up from her bed and I would go straight to the wall in front of the bed and I would start scratching the walls. And she would just very casually grab me and send me back to her bed. I had no idea Speaker 1 (7:32) I did Speaker 3 (7:32) it until one night. My sister spent the night with us and she woke up to me scratching the walls. And I remember waking up at the wall confused and my sister was crying. I think it lasted for about a year and then eventually I just stopped doing it. My mom's house was very active as well. Speaker 3 (8:02) I hardly ever stayed there. I had just lived with my mom for a few months while I was pregnant. I have to say I was about eight months pregnant, so I was very big. And we had these two cats, and they would always be playing in the middle of the night. Speaker 2 (8:20) They would get Speaker 3 (8:22) on the curtains and then go all the way on top of the curtains and then jump down. It was an everyday occurrence or every night Speaker 2 (8:30) occurrence. Speaker 3 (8:32) The couch is right next to the window so that I could see the curtain. If I look down, I can see the bottom of the curtain. And if I look up, I can see the top of the curtain. One night when I was sitting watching my TV show and I remember seeing the middle of the curtain move and I didn't really think anything of it. I was just thinking it was one of the cats. Speaker 3 (9:00) And it had been moving for a minute or so, and so I was confused why they didn't jump down and make their run around the couch again. So I looked down to see who was at the curtain. The bottom of the curtain was perfectly sealed. It was just the middle of the curtain. I got freaked out, and I kind of sat up on the couch. I could feel the breath. the moisture of whoever it was, but they whispered my name into my ear. And that really freaked me out because up until that point, no ghost has ever made that kind of interaction Speaker 2 (9:44) with me. Speaker 3 (9:46) So even though I was eight months pregnant, I hopped over the back of the couch and I ran to my mom's bedroom. And I had to sleep with her for the night because I was really freaked out. To this day, I can still remember that feeling of that moisture from their breath inside of my ear. It wasn't a positive energy like if it was a loved Speaker 1 (10:12) one or something. Speaker 3 (10:13) It was negative. It was heavy. I had moved out, and then at the time when I was 18, when I moved back in, my mom and my dad got a divorce. Speaker 3 (10:32) I went to go stay with my dad for a little bit. And then she moved out and rented me and my dad back my childhood home. When we lived there, a lot of things happened. My dad actually, he doesn't believe in any kind of spirits. He's very much an atheist. He doesn't believe in anything whatsoever. His dad passed away when he was 22. Speaker 3 (11:05) Whenever we moved in, he was in his room one night. He would listen to music on the weekends. He'll listen to music and have a couple of beers. And so he was doing that one night. I was asleep and he said that he heard his dad talking to him. He doesn't really like talking about it. He has a hard time wrapping his mind about what he heard. But it was his dad talking to him and his dad was trying to have a conversation and he was really confused. He would always see me in the kitchen and he would have conversations with me. But I was never home whenever he was having those conversations. I remember one time I was in my bedroom and I heard movement from the kitchen. It was a very small house. It was a two bedroom, one bathroom house. So it's really, really small. So I could hear him in the kitchen. So I remember asking him, what's the plans for dinner going to look like? And I remember him responding back to me. And so I got up and I walked through the hallway into the living room. And you can see the kitchen from right there. And he was looking into the fridge. He was talking about maybe going out Speaker 2 (12:35) to dinner. Speaker 2 (12:37) And I never saw the front of him. I only saw the Speaker 3 (12:39) back of him. But I said, yeah, we can go out to dinner. I think seven works fine. And so he said, great. I went back into my room. And then a few hours later, I hear the front door unlocking. And I was like, well, who's here? And it was my dad. He had just gotten off work. I was like, I just spoke to you. Where have you been? And he was like, I've been at work this whole time. I was never here. Speaker 3 (13:11) I was really confused. And I had told them, well, I just talked to you. We just made dinner plans. I saw you. You were looking inside the fridge. He was like, I don't know what to tell you, but that was not me. At that time, I was really into. Speaker 3 (13:35) seeing ghosts and spirits and stuff. So I would talk to them a lot, not trying to make any kind of connection, but kind of like my grandma, something would happen and I'd be like, guys, this is annoying. Stop opening and closing my door. I'm not interested in that. So I would kind of talk to them in that way. I was still 18 or 19. And one day my sister was picking me up for work. Speaker 3 (14:05) I was asleep, and all of a sudden I hear a woman yelling, Naomi, wake up. And so I shot out of bed because it sounded like she was right in my room. And I was like, what's going on? What's going on? And I looked at my phone. My sister had just pulled up. I woke up right before, I think it was 10 minutes before I was going to be late for work. So I quickly got dressed and I ran outside and my sister was in the driveway. And I was like, did you go in the house? And she was like, no, I was sitting here in the driveway waiting for you to come out. And I was like, well, somebody woke me up. So whenever I came back home, I was like, thank you to whoever woke me up. Shout out to you. Speaker 3 (14:57) It was a lot of things like
