Hello everyone this is Rebecca Green for the Winnie Pools of podcast and I am extra extra excited today because this is coming to you the day after my 50th birthday and this is a birthday present to me that is so extremely thoughtful and loving and caring and is probably the best present ever. So my husband Seth, my producer Adrian and And my editor John, the three of them, put this video together for me. And a lot of loved ones, family and friends, gave me some wonderful words. So I hope that you enjoy it. And I hope that you learn something from it. And I hope you take something away. I hope you're enjoying the podcast. I absolutely love doing this. This is one of the best jobs ever. You know, I love being a mom. I hope you're job but this is an amazing job and I can't believe I get to do this so thank you for allowing me to do this for you and thank you to every single loved one who sent me in a video I hope you enjoy and here we go. Seth Green here so one thing that Rebecca has taught me happy 50th birthday honey that has changed the way I parent. our children talk to us about something, they don't necessarily want their problem solved. Right? I'm a fixer, I just want to fix it. And they want my presence, my undivided attention, and they want me to listen, and they want me to listen, and they want me to listen, and they will tell me, no dad, I just wanted you to listen. Like, were you just venting, were you just sharing, or do you want me to just listen? Do you want me, do you to She has also taught me in parenting to be very patient and very loving and realize that for example they may be communicating out of an un resourceful emotional state and I should not and there might be something going on with them and I should not take that personally because it's not about me and the more presence I can bring the more calm presence I can bring the better off they will be dealing with whatever they're dealing with as opposed to me getting agitated or angry and making it worse. So those are just a few of probably the million parenting lessons she has taught me. Thank you, sweetheart. Have a wonderful, wonderful birthday and I'm looking forward to our next 50 years together. Hi Rebecca, happy 50th. You know Rebecca, you are the shining light. I love you always have the smile on your face. I love that you are kind to everyone and so optimistic about everything you do. It makes me see the world in a really different place. I love that you are kind to everyone and so optimistic. I love that you are kind to I feel like the world is so much more a loving and friendly place and I take your attitude with me and I find that I'm less stressed and enjoy the world more. So you've given me so much and I love you so much. And you've taught me, don't look at the world through rose-colored glasses, look at the world through rhinestone-colored glasses with lots of sparkles. And that's how you see the world. And that's how you make us see the world. No matter what the occasion, you make it so special, so special. Always so momentous and so much to remember. And you make everybody feel so important. I mean, you've taught me tolerance. You've taught me acceptance. You've taught me so much. What you teach your kids, you teach to us. And we just love you so much. And today's just another day for us to show you and tell you. and I'll tell you you'll always just be my little Miss Rebecca who I used to sit and sing to and teach about the world ahead but you've shown us happy birthday honey happy birthday baby we love you love you all right Rebecca's turning 50 what have I learned from my sister well growing up in buffalo new york I've learned a few things right where she was always kind of the fun one she liked to dance she liked to sing she liked to jump around and every once no while she made me do it with her so I will say the fun side of things that I'll I'll may or may not have learned that from her. I learned that having fights and maybe not getting along from time to time as siblings is okay and you can still end up as close as my sister and I are and you know showing up just with these guys on how close they are. So grateful to have her as my sister and happy 50th. Yes boys, happy 50th. Happy 50th. I'm Rebecca, this is a joint effort from me and I have learned a lot from you over the years. A lot of it. I have learned I have learned I have learned I have learned I have learned I have learned I have learned I have learned I have learned a lot of it. I have learned I have learned I have learned I have learned I have learned I have learned from your books that you've written from your blogs, vlogs and all the different things that you do. And I've been so impressed. So I just look through some of the stuff that I have that you've done. And of course I see you in action all the time. So I see you putting this stuff into action, the stuff that's in words. So first of all, you don't have to be perfect all the time. So I know that when you're right. wrote this, you were thinking about being a mother and being a wife. But I think it applies to everybody in any stage of their life. That you need to have realistic expectations for yourself and for other people too. You have to understand that everybody has feelings of all different kinds and that suppressing them is not good. You need to understand what they're going through and they need to understand what you feel. about what you're going through. Hi mom I hope you're having a great birthday I'm recording this from my apartment and one thing that my mom has taught me is well we all joke that she's 16 years old and well she may be turning 50 this year the truth is at heart she's about 16. that her youthful and joyful nature show us a lot about how we can stay young both mentally and physically because being that youthful throughout your entire life is very good for you and I think she's a lot of the reason that I still act a lot like a little boy today. Happy birthday mom, I love you. One thing mom has taught me that has changed the way I see the world is that you have the power to reframe your thoughts and that will change your reality. My name is Lily. I'm Rebecca Rinsider. I'm her youngest, I'm 13 and her birthday is coming up. So I just wanted to
