Speaker 4 (0:00) Hello everyone, this is Rebecca Green for the Whinypalooza podcast and I Speaker 3 (0:04) have been so excited this morning to talk to Amy Pons. Amy, thank you so much for doing this with me today. Speaker 4 (0:12) My pleasure, thank you for having me. Speaker 3 (0:15) She is just such an amazing lady. You know, it's so funny, I can tell within like... a second of how a conversation is going to go. This is going to be wonderful. You're going to love this. Let me tell you about Amy so you know why I'm so excited today. Amy is the founder of Unlock the Magic, where she helps people reconnect with who they truly are beyond the roles, rules, and expectations they have spent years trying to fit into. After 20 years, In mainstream business and marketing, Amy realized she had spent much of her life quieting her intuition and forcing herself into a version of success that no longer felt aligned. Today, she blends business wisdom, life coaching, energy work, and deep soul-centered guidance to help others remember that they are not just humans trying to survive life, but limitless souls. learning how to live more fully, honestly, and freely. So now everyone knows why I'm so excited. I mean, I told Amy, I have so many questions, where to start. I mean, let's start with what, tell me what Unlock the Magic means. What a cool name. Speaker 4 (1:30) Thank you. Speaker 4 (1:33) You know, bios are funny. Because as you read that, I'm like, I'm not doing anything novel or new. Do you know what I'm saying? Like, soul searching, life coaching, finding your purpose. Like, we've all, it's like, this is why we came to earth is to, like, try to figure this out and, or to try to remember it. Actually, soul already knows, but. Anyway, I just had to share that because it's just funny because it just sounds like it's like all brand new and it's not. This is like ancient wisdom that we're like remembering. So anyway. Speaker 4 (2:05) It's funny you ask about the origin of the name because I post about this sometimes because, or quite a bit. When I left, when I said, when I said today's my last day, because I had like a one last straw moment, privilegedly, of course, I was able to say today's my last day. And, you know, I don't necessarily recommend that. That's traumatic in and of itself to go from, you know. big six figures overnight to zero dollars. But that's just one, that's one aspect of it. Speaker 4 (2:39) When I didn't have a plan, I wouldn't have told you that I was going to be doing any of these things. I wouldn't have told you any of this. As a matter of fact, I almost jumped right back in the corporate pool about a week later because I had a panic. But then my husband lovingly said, hey, did you just blow up your career for a reason? And he meant that respectfully and nicely, not like, how Speaker 3 (3:00) dare you? No. Speaker 4 (3:01) He was like, oh, right. Yep. let me, let me take a moment. And again, I say that privilegedly because not everyone can just do that. So, so I, and that was over the holidays that year. So I just shut everything down and just kind of sat still and realized that I was really hurting. I was at a place where I had become an alcoholic. I, I, you know, I just to get through the work days and things like that. So I was like, all right, let me, okay, let me take a minute. Okay, sure. And then I got really obsessed with planning our like. I was like, we have two dogs that are our children. And I was like, what happens to them if something happens to us on the same day? And my husband's like, okay, I don't know. And so I got obsessed with doing end of life planning and writing wills and all of that. And so I did that. And anyway, again, my husband was like, okay, you do that. I'll keep working, I guess. Speaker 4 (4:06) I did all that and we were working with an attorney. And while I was working with the attorney on the end of life planning, this is all going to make sense. I swear I'm not just rambling. Speaker 4 (4:18) And what was coming up during this work with the attorney about in-love life planning was folks were coming out from my history being like, hey, wait, what are you doing now? Are you freelance? Can we have you like for marketing? And can we do you are you going to do your own gig? I'm like, I have no idea. And I started getting prompted by that. And so finally, we're like, OK, maybe I do create an LLC. Maybe I do start something to try to earn a living because I can't be without a living. That's not where our life is. And so when the attorney was like, what do you want to call it? And I just got exasperated. I was like, you know what I want to do? I want to unlock the magic in folks that has been there their entire lives. The intersection between being a human and coming here to feel things and remembering that you're a limitless soul that has genuinely, no, genuinely, like I'm seriously, genuinely no limits. And I talked about this for probably like two minutes and she was like. so unlock the magic. And I was like, yes. And so that's what I chose to call the business. And luckily, not luckily, obviously it was all like the domains were open and everything like that. So we rolled with it. And the magic, when I say the magic, Speaker 2 (5:41) the Speaker 4 (5:42) magic is that moment where you feel those butterflies where like in your physical body, that something, something. Speaker 4 (5:52) went really, something feels so aligned and so good. And something kind of, it's like a breakthrough or like you had a moment and something happens where you're like, and it feels almost euphoric. Like I just got full body chills. That's my magic. It's that, it's that moment where everything starts to click and you remember why you came here. And my, my work is helping people remember. Speaker 4 (6:22) understand and access that you can have that magic, not just once in a while, it's actually your birthright. Like it's why you came here to feel that every single day, maybe not all day, every day, but, but I'm a, I'm a say it. And I don't should very often. We don't shit on ourselves. Right. But. Speaker 4 (6:43) You should feel magic at least once a day, every day, those butterflies or those chills or that kismet that like, whoa, life is so cool. You should get that every single day, at least once a day. And my goal is to share that more out in the world and help people access that because again, we have been caught up in the human for far too long where we're only, only looking at. what we can physically touch or, and, and what's hard actually, what the hardest part is, is that we get back exactly what we put out. Everything is energy, everything. So what stinks about that, what's hard is that if you're not feeling very good in life, unfortunately, and I'm not suggesting you're doing anything wrong. I'm saying that like, but, and. When you lead with like everything's happening to me and everything sucks, well, everything is going to keep happening to you and everything's going to keep sucking, right? So it's like you embrace the suck. Grab that suck, give it a big old hug and say, I love you, and then keep it moving. So anyway, that's a little bit about me. Speaker 3 (7:53) You got me all like choked up when you were talking. I was like, oh my God, why are you all teary? I'm such a Sam. I just love. what you just explained. It is so meaningful. It is so special. I want every single person listening to this to feel that way. I want them to find their magic. I love your title. I do want to go back though, because I want to know when you're ready, take your time. How do you, how did you realize what was like the moment when you were like this success? I mean, you were in a really successful job. When did you realize like, This doesn't fit for me. Speaker 4 (8:33) So I'd always, I'd always, and let me go energetic for a minute. We all have all the clairs, which clairsentience, claircognizance, clairvoyance, all the clairs. Like, so what I mean by that is, and a lot of people call it woo. Okay, fine. All of us have, before we got here on the physical plane, our clairs are like all of those gifts that we knew only by sensing energy. outside of the smell, taste, hear, sight, you know, that we got as humans, all of those other senses were all like, were the basics, were the actual foundation, were the ones that we knew how to do first. And as babies, as small children. And we've all seen this in kids. We're like, how do they know that? And it kind of freaks us out, right? As adults. But as children, like we come here and we just got from this whole plane. We just came from this whole plane. So we know Speaker 3 (9:31) the Speaker 4 (9:32) first senses first. There's a reason why we can't talk when we're babies. Like, because those are our senses first, you know? So I say all this because when I was four or five, I was deep into my claircognizance clairvoyance. Speaker 4 (9:47) clairsentience. So I would stroll up to adults and I would be like, does your stomach hurt? Like what's wrong? What's going on? Cause I, cause I feel what you feel. And it, again, um, and adults were like, which child, ah, like so, which child, which child. So, so scary. So literally I was, that was beaten out of me. at a very young age. And so I went mainstream because it wasn't physically safe for me to explore those other gifts or my first gifts, if you will. And so I went mainstream and I did all the things and I became a popular kid and I was on the dance team and I went to college and I went, you know, I did all this was like, you know, I don't know, 35 years for the following 35 years. It was just forcing myself into the mold, into the copy paste, because that's what was physically safe. At the time. And then when I got to around 35 years old, so maybe 30 years, 35 years old, I was like, oh, gosh, every like something right, quote unquote, something started everything around me started to feel both physically unsafe and mentally and emotionally unsafe, all of it, everything. And I say physically because my body began to talk to me. My body began to physically. like break down at a very young age. I couldn't, um, I had such bad pain in my body. I couldn't really walk. And mind you, I was still like, I was in corporate this time and I was like crushing it. I'm like forcing myself through everything. And, uh, I was like, well, okay, what can I do? Because back then when I was 35 and I'm almost 45, so a decade ago, um, Speaker 4 (11:41) I had this notion that I couldn't possibly do anything differently, right? Because I was making all the big money. I was making the big titles. I was working for a really popular and like exciting brand that was international. So I was getting the acclaim, which felt nice. And my body was, was, was really, was really hurting. So when I started to think about it, I was like, well, there's a, there's an element within me that I'm. I know this now. It's hard to remember how I was starting to answer your question. It's starting. It's hard to remember like how I was even framing it, because now I know that at 35, I was beginning to remember that I'm a healer and a warrior. Like that's who I am on the soul plane. That's that's who I am at soul. Like that's my truth. So I
