Speaker 1 (0:09) It's Jackson, Claude, and Speaker 2 (0:14) Weaver. Show the facts you need Speaker 1 (0:17) to know. We'll start your day off swirly. It's the toast. I sound amazing. Welcome back to the toast and happy Tuesday. I hope everybody's having a great second day of their week. I know I am because I'm sitting here. I am as well because Speaker 2 (0:32) I'm sitting with you. Oh my God, you like clutched your chest. We're back together. We Speaker 1 (0:37) drove separately though. Speaker 2 (0:38) We did drive separately. Which Speaker 1 (0:39) drives people nuts. Like over the summer, we talked about this on our Patreon. We were both Speaker 2 (0:44) driving electric cars, so you can't even say. I did want to follow Speaker 1 (0:47) up. Speaker 2 (0:47) We're burning fossil fuels. I Speaker 1 (0:49) did want to follow up about the vehicle because we made our music video in the parking lot, as promised, on TikTok. You know, special treat for people who follow me on TikTok. And bonus content. Like we have Patreon. She refuses to post it to Instagram because she Speaker 2 (1:00) likes it. You should Speaker 1 (1:00) be rewarded for following me on TikTok. All 400,000 of you. Really? Speaker 2 (1:03) That's really good. I Speaker 1 (1:05) know. Speaker 1 (1:07) People were like, I thought you guys were joking that you just got like a bigger car. No, no, it's like a bright red pickup truck. And I forgot to tell you guys, it's electric. Like I've never driven an electric car before. You just go in and it starts. Like you don't need a key or nothing. Well, you need the key, but you don't need to like turn on the engine. I mean, I drove solo today, which was not as fun. Oh. And I felt that I didn't get that sort of blue collar respect I was getting. People were walking all over me today. Speaker 2 (1:30) Oh, I'm so sorry. Speaker 1 (1:31) And then something humiliating happened to me when I was parking. I don't know if you saw it. We got here at the same time, but it took me a second to... I Speaker 2 (1:35) saw you going to do your thing, so I was just going to let you do it in peace and privacy. I wasn't going to... Because we have to back into our spots, which is Speaker 1 (1:42) a little bit... Challenging. I backed into the spot, and as I'm fighting for my life, I backed in. Speaker 2 (1:49) And by the way, there were a million spots. By the way, Speaker 1 (1:52) a million open spots. And I'm like straddled between two spots. I'm literally like Mandy Moore in two places at once. And this car in front of me is like passing by and like stops right in front of me. I'm like, excuse me, I'm trying to. And it's a toaster. She's like, she obviously recognized the car. She was like, hi. She was like rolled down her window talking. And I'm like, I was so embarrassed. Like, not only am I. parking so poorly like I mean this big bright red car like she obviously looks at me as like a celebrity and like here I am struggling stars they're just like us and I was like really not in my best self to like converse because I was really panicked about the parking spot um but she was in a Ford Expedition which looked like a gorgeous car I have my eyes out for cars now Claudia is looking for a new mom car I think I've settled yeah Speaker 2 (2:30) which is just so interesting It's such a big decision. I feel like I keep trying to tell everyone. It is. And I also feel like there is, I mean, there's a lot of mom cars, but it just feels like there's not enough. Speaker 1 (2:41) No, and it's like. Like we're missing something. And I feel, every time I get a car, I feel the same way. Like, obviously, my priorities are shifted. Like, I need, you know, cabs and seats, God willing, for two car seats, whatever. But, like, I'm still me. And, like, I am kind of shallow when it comes to, like, wanting, like, a pargy, like, sports car. So when we were in the Hamptons, Ben was like, look around. There's so many nice cars. Like, what do you like and what should we get? And the thing is, I only really like, like, a Range Rover. I think it's because I. was like brought up watching Real Housewives of like all the cities and like all the, they were cool moms driving Range Rovers. Like Range Rovers are so cool. I had a Range Rover. It was really not a great experience. Just like in terms of they're kind of faulty, you know, they have lots of issues. And when I got one, everyone was like, you're going to have to take it to the shop. And I was like, yeah, sure. Whatever. The thing was in the shop the entire time. That's infuriating. So I almost this time was like, let's just get another Range Rover because they're sick. Like they just are so cool. They're so Housewives. But you know what? I've opted for safety. And I think, I feel like LeBron, I will be taking my talents to the Volvo dealership. I've heard great things about the CX-90. Apparently, it's like the safest car. And I feel like whenever I'm watching a TV show, like your friends and neighbors, and they're trying to show like a really cool, like wealthy mom, like she's a Volvo. You know what I mean? It's like, it's very, it's very understated. Like you guys wouldn't understand, you know? Speaker 2 (3:46) No, I went through this exercise myself. That car was also Speaker 1 (3:50) on my list. It's on every mom's list. Speaker 2 (3:51) Yeah. And so do it. And you know what? Like I want to experience a new car. I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it. Yeah. I'm excited for you. I'm doing it. That's Speaker 1 (4:00) exciting. And just know if you see someone in a rain job Speaker 2 (4:02) or Speaker 1 (4:02) like just know they're struggling. And just know if you see someone in a bright red electric pickup truck like trying to back into their spot just like seriously wish them the best. Wish them the best. Like I felt bad. I wanted to like converse and have a swirly chit chat but like I was. actually sweating. Yeah. It was so embarrassing. And I couldn't figure out, you don't get yourself into like a bind, like a parking bind that you can't like figure out what the logical thing is to get. Speaker 2 (4:23) The physics behind like which way you should turn. Yes. Speaker 1 (4:25) Exactly. I'm like, do I start over? And I didn't. So I just like kept readjusting. I must've done it like four or five times. It was trauma. Trauma. I'm sorry you went through that. Your Volvo will never. My Volvo. And Jackie says it like Volvo. No, Speaker 2 (4:37) I don't. How would you say it? Volvo. Volvo? Yes. Okay, but it's V-O-L-V-O. Wait, Speaker 1 (4:43) you're saying it like V-U. Volvo. Volvo. Volvo. Now we're saying it too many times that it's starting to sound weird. Enjoy Speaker 2 (4:50) your Volvo. Speaker 1 (4:51) I will enjoy my Volvo. Speaker 1 (4:55) Cool. Coolio. It's Tuesday. We have Dear Toasters. I just picked them out. They're kind of crazy. The Speaker 2 (5:00) stories are so weird. Speaker 1 (5:02) Or bad. Speaker 2 (5:03) Yeah. But we're going to do our thing. It Speaker 1 (5:06) doesn't matter because you want to know why? Because we started watching Dancing with the Stars. The future starts now. We're saved tonight. Speaker 2 (5:12) Tonight we'll be able to talk about. There is a story. I didn't choose it because it's not that bad. what the stars are dancing to tonight. Speaker 1 (5:20) No, I don't care. But Giselle, will we be able to feed off of Tuesday night's episode for like at least two more days? So while, and we have two shows for today. I'm not concerned Speaker 2 (5:27) and I'm glad like there's nothing crazy is happening. We can just catch up, chit chat. I've been loving Babylon. I just want to say. I added it to my liked song. Speaker 1 (5:37) Oh, that's huge. Yeah. Speaker 2 (5:38) It's the only one so far that made it. Speaker 1 (5:40) If I were to choose songs to make it to my list, it would be Babylon and Cleveland. It's really, Speaker 1 (5:46) You know? It's really growing on me. But Babylon, yes, is definitely the best written song from the encore. And yeah, I guess sonically too. It's not like a bop, but it feels like it would be on like, I saw somebody say it feels like the Big Sister or Renegade. Remember when she released that song Renegade with like a band she started? Speaker 1 (6:03) Barely. She like, her and Aaron Desner. You can't Speaker 2 (6:04) say Renegade. I Speaker 1 (6:05) know, I know. It's sort of like, she should have changed it to something else. What was that band she started? Whatever, it was one of her greatest songs. I saw somebody say Babylon. It's like sort of like the sequel to it. It does sound similar. It's Speaker 2 (6:15) a Speaker 1 (6:15) great song. Are Speaker 2 (6:15) you seeing people saying that Patient Zero sounds similar to Father Figure? I have not seen people say that. And I feel that because all of a sudden I have Father Figure back in my head and it's coming from the undertones of Patient Zero. Speaker 1 (6:27) Listening to Patient Zero without watching the music video is not as fun. I agree. Yeah. And I can't be like watching a music video like while I'm in the car. So for now, it's just. Yeah. Speaker 2 (6:37) Now when I listen to it again, I'm like back to my first thought. Speaker 1 (6:41) Yeah. Yeah. Oh, gee. Yeah. But at least I can think about the music video and Speaker 2 (6:45) visualize it. And dream about it. Speaker 1 (6:50) I'm checking. I recorded a Patreon yesterday. If you're not a Patreon member, I just feel like I'm missing out on so many inside jokes. Speaker 2 (6:55) Yeah. And just like so much more information. Speaker 1 (6:57) Yeah. We sort of keep like a part of ourselves guarded until we're on the Patreon. Don't you find? Like it's such a safe space. Speaker 2 (7:04) That and like the episodes are already so long that if. Here you mean. Yeah. Like that if we want to talk like more about ourselves. Like there's no time. It feels like we're out of time. Speaker 1 (7:15) It's true. And like we're constantly releasing 90 minute episodes. It's actually insane. It is. Our episodes are getting longer. How? And we're getting like more interesting and funny. Isn't that interesting? It is interesting. I'll be curious today, like knowing the stories are direct. Speaker 2 (7:27) We do have dear toasters, but like how long it will be. How far we can take this. How far? Yeah. No, without even trying. I'm just curious. I Speaker 1 (7:34) actually feel like it'll be a normal episode because we got so much out of our system yesterday with like a big Monday catch up. We did like 15 pop culture stories and then we recorded a Patreon, which was just like a pregnancy TTC journey, conception, everything. Very sexual episode. Yeah, that's right. Speaker 1 (7:50) So that's up on the Patreon now if you're curious about that at all. I just want to say, sending Olivia Culpo lots of love. She means the world to me. Like I talked a lot about Olivia Colburn, like what she means to me on this journey. Yeah. And I feel like what her pregnancy means to you and like how it affected me, like kind of in a negative way. And I just want to say, I don't feel like I led with the fact like I'm really happy for her. And like I came off with my own jealousy. You did. I think you did say like I was happy and then I was jealous. No, no, no. But I wasn't like I was strictly jealous. And now like that I'm at a place where I conceived successfully. I. can be like exclusively happy for her. But I feel like I didn't say that on the episode. So I just want to say like Olivia Coppola, like while you were an integral part of my journey in a negative way, like now we're sisters bonded for life. And I just, I didn't lead with like the joy and the gratitude and like the being happy for someone. Speaker 2 (8:31) Yeah. Speaker 1 (8:32) So yeah, there's that kind of drama between me and Olivia Coppola on Patreon. If you want to go check it out, patreon.com slash toast. Your twin mom. Speaker 2 (8:38) My kind of my twin flame. Celebrity play date. Speaker 1 (8:41) Yes. You know, if I have a celebrity play date, it would unfortunately have to be at Olivia Cobo's house. Hopefully the one that she bought from George Clooney. Hopefully with their furniture on. Yeah. Who's your like celebrity mom, buddy? Rihanna. Rihanna and Nicole Combs. That's a good one. That would be a fun Speaker 2 (8:57) play date. Speaker 1 (8:57) I'm secretly hoping I'm not like. Speaker 1 (9:01) Projecting? Predicting. Because I don't think she is. But I kind of need Hailey Bieber to be pregnant because then we would be two for two. Even though we barely crossed paths in the first pregnancy, we were both pregnant at the same time for a brief period. Speaker 2 (9:11) Yeah. Me, Rihanna, and Nicole are very aligned. In sync. Then if we wanted to get a little bit more flexible on the timelines, of course, Lauren Lane and Raven. Of Speaker 1 (9:22) course, Gates. Speaker 2 (9:22) Raven was my twin for a while. So it's important to have. Speaker 1 (9:28) Celebrities to whom you feel connected in a childbirth. It's kind of like birthday buddies next iteration is like your celebrity mom play date hypothetical. Speaker 2 (9:37) Labor buddies. But I am open for a play date, Olivia Speaker 1 (9:39) Coppo. Just want you to know. Age Speaker 2 (9:41) gap buddies. Age gap buddies. Yeah, like sisters in sync. I met someone in real life who has like three boys, very similar ages to my boys. And I'm like. we need to have a play date every Speaker 1 (9:52) day. Speaker 2 (9:52) Do you want to move Speaker 1 (9:53) in with us? That's how I feel about Olivia Colpo. She's obviously welcome to move in with me. Although based on what I know about her home, we should probably move in with Speaker 2 (9:58) her. Speaker 1 (9:58) You should move Speaker 2 (9:59) in with her. It's looking Speaker 1 (10:00) amazing. It's looking amazing. I have been loving her home journey. Did Speaker 2 (10:03) you see her kitchen wallpaper? No. Speaker 1 (10:04) Because Speaker 2 (10:04) she just showed how Speaker 1 (10:05) all of her sprinkles was like jumping. That's kind of where Olivia Colpo and I differ in our pregnancy mama journeys is that like she had this dog, which she's had, it was basically her Theo. Yes. And I always say like if I was in this place now with Theo, I think I would feel differently. But I have this like new dog in my house. Like I literally don't know him. Speaker 1 (10:21) Bless you. And he peed in Jackie's new house over the weekend. And like, seriously, like I, I wanted to disown him like 1000%. But she has this dog who she like, you know, had it probably for like five or six years before she gave birth. And he's been just like such an integral part of her motherhood journey. And she loves him like more than ever. Even Speaker 2 (10:36) more. And Speaker 1 (10:37) we're sort of, that's kind of where we differ in our journeys. But I feel that other than that, we're pretty much simpatico. Well, Speaker 2 (10:43) she posted a picture of all of her sprinkles, like trying to get onto the high chair. Classic stuff. Classic stuff. Speaker 1 (10:47) Romeo would be shot dead. I'm Speaker 2 (10:49) kidding. I'm kidding. Speaker 1 (10:51) I just want you guys to know I'm largely joking when I talk about Romeo. We've actually made like a lot of strides. He sleeps in the bed now. I think he could definitely sense like the pregnancy hormones. He's been really good aside from the whole peeing on your new drapes. And the carpet. And the carpet, yeah. The carpet was like such a little one. Like the stain wasn't even a question. It wasn't an Speaker 2 (11:07) important carpet. Speaker 1 (11:08) No, no. The drapes were like brand new. Speaker 1 (11:12) I am largely joking. Like, obviously, I'm not, like, thrilled with everything he does, but we've really made a lot of strides. Yeah. But I'm not, like, at the Oliver Sprinkles level. Speaker 2 (11:19) No, it's not giving Oliver Sprinkles. Anyways, she posted a picture of Oliver Sprinkles trying to get out of the high chair. And it was in the kitchen. The wallpaper was just looking pargy. Her house is really. I look Speaker 1 (11:28) forward Speaker 2 (11:28) to Speaker 1 (11:28) your play date. Speaker 2 (11:29) Make sure to take lots of pics. Yeah, I'll make sure to FaceTime me Speaker 1 (11:30) out. Yeah. Hey, can I come over? The kids are playing. I'm, like, in the bathroom taking pictures of everything. Speaker 2 (11:35) FaceTime me from the bathroom. Speaker 1 (11:38) So, yeah, like, for the. sake of the show like i guess yeah what else did we do yesterday we did our patreon we had a party lunch um i actually became a karen yesterday i mean i wanted to share the story of what i did at the restaurant what Speaker 2 (11:52) did you do the Speaker 1 (11:53) tv oh Speaker 2 (11:55) that's not karen Speaker 1 (11:56) it's Speaker 2 (11:56) a Speaker 1 (11:56) little karen let me tell you why because like i wasn't personally with any children we had a an adult lunch we were at a like a casual lunch place that had three tvs um they were playing like sports sports and then like a daytime soap opera now maybe i'm new to the soap opera game or things have changed but there was an actual porn scene. I was shocked. I pick my head up in the middle of the day and there's porn, like little porn. They're like making out on the couch. She's in a bra and underwear. He's not wearing a shirt. They're making out so hard, like straddling. And it's like in the middle of the day and like there was a baby next to me. I didn't have any kids with me. So I could have just ignored it. But I felt that the restaurant should know. And I said to the waiter, I'm like, I'm sorry to be a Karen, but I feel like maybe we should change the channel on that. I said it really nice and like in a cool, like I'm not like a loser type of way. we should change a channel on that um tv because like it's kind of inappropriate but obviously when i said it like the scene was over yeah so i just really looked like a karen but you know what i stand by it it felt wrong it felt it was so weird it was so weird it was so inappropriate and it's awkward like Speaker 2 (12:48) for adults Speaker 1 (12:49) too oh i feel i'm sitting with my sister like excuse me that's disgusting it's all Speaker 2 (12:53) like a table friends right yeah Speaker 1 (12:54) we were like are you guys seeing what we're seeing it was disgusting yeah Speaker 2 (12:58) so Speaker 1 (12:59) that's kind of kind of like a new notch in my belt for a 30 A year old woman. Speaker 2 (13:05) 30? Speaker 1 (13:06) 30. I'm not going to even do the math. Speaker 2 (13:09) I Speaker 1 (13:09) don't know if you're being true. Speaker 2 (13:11) I'm Speaker 1 (13:11) 30. Speaker 2 (13:13) That's Speaker 1 (13:13) a Speaker 2 (13:13) good age. Yeah. Oh, yeah. You were like, they did your turdy 30 in Mahjong party. Yeah. Speaker 1 (13:20) Next subject. Wasn't it Speaker 2 (13:23) 30? Speaker 1 (13:23) Mm-hmm. Damn crack turd. Speaker 2 (13:25) Yeah, exactly. What was it? Speaker 1 (13:27) 30 turdy. Speaker 1 (13:30) Okay, well, let's get into this. Oh, by the way, big news in the Mahjong world. New Love Shack Fancy X Oh My Mahjong Q Lab. Jackie and I got the tiles. We haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but it's like so hearty. We Speaker 2 (13:40) tried Speaker 1 (13:40) to like play last night, but our game fell through. I'm trying to like think of an equivalent like collab. It's kind of like Fendi Skims, like literally groundbreaking. Speaker 2 (13:47) Yeah, or like, I mean, every collab like Love Shack Fancy does is like similar, but like Love Shack Fancy Nuna Speaker 1 (13:52) wasn't for the boy moms. But happy for the girl moms. Love Shaq Fancy Stanley. I feel like that like reset a generation. But Speaker 2 (13:59) love Shaq Fancy on my Mahjong. Speaker 1 (14:01) Like tiles, racks. Yeah. We haven't even opened it yet. Like I'm so excited. Yeah. We Speaker 2 (14:04) need Speaker 1 (14:05) to do like an unboxing Speaker 2 (14:05) and we need to play. We don't have like a game on and that's sort of problematic. We Speaker 1 (14:09) will. We will. Speaker 2 (14:10) Oh, if you want to hear about Turdy's latest thoughts on Mahjong, you'll have to head to the Patreon. Speaker 1 (14:14) That's Speaker 2 (14:15) what Speaker 1 (14:15) I'm saying. Like the Patreon we recorded yesterday, I feel that if you really want to know me and like what I'm going through and like what I've been going through, gotta head to the Patreon. Speaker 2 (14:23) Yeah. I think we should get into the stories. I think we should. Because, you know, I've hyped them up so much. They'll probably be good, actually. Yeah. Without further ado, it is time for the Fast Five Stories that you do need to know. Speaker 1 (14:38) And the Fast Five stories that you need to know are brought to you by Skims, one of our favorite brands and OG sponsors. You have heard us say it before, but we'll say it again. Skims is top tier. Their fabrics are truly one of a kind. Lately, we have been loving and wearing everything from their cotton collection. The weather's warming up. We just want to be comfortable. And when it comes to cotton basics, nothing beats Skims. Cotton's definitely having a moment because it's like a cool girl look, but also it's such a breathable fabric. And like we're in Florida, girl, like I cannot breathe over here. Well, if you're looking for good cotton pieces, whether that's like, you know, things to wear. Undergarments. Check out Skims. They have lightweight cotton every day. Cotton, cotton jersey, cotton rib. They're really doing the most when it comes to cotton. The Skims cotton jersey fold-over pant has completely changed my standards for loungewear. They're super soft. They have the perfect amount of stretch, and they somehow manage to feel cozy while still looking flattering. We wear them with everything, lounging around the house, running errands, and feeling effortlessly put together. That just reminded me. We were talking about maternity clothes on the podcast yesterday. Skims maternity. I have to find those pants. Maybe I'll just order a new pair. That fold-over maternity pant saved my life at my first pregnancy. Their maternity stuff is so good. And if you're into like ribbed tanks, which is like the cool girl look right now, just sort of like. Very model off duty, which we obviously know a lot about. The cotton rib tank is one of those pieces that will become instantly like your number one go-to. Super easy to wear. Doesn't get baggy. I think cotton is like annoying for some people to buy because you wear it a few times or you wash and it gets like loose and it's not fitted anymore. Well, the Skims cotton does not. Shop Skims cotton and all of our favorite pieces at Skims.com. After you place your order, be sure to let them know that we sent you. Select podcast in the survey and select the toast in the drop down menu that follows. Today's episode is also brought to you by Got2B. Lock in your look with the travel-friendly Got2B Wax Stick. Use it for everyday slick styles, gym sessions, travel touch-ups, or polished looks for nights out and special occasions. So Jackie and I talk about the Got2B Wax Stick a lot. Jackie's a big fan of slick back looks. I don't always do a slick back look, but I am in the era of my life where I have sideburns and I'm getting regrowth and I have a lot of flyaways and it's frizzy and I have humidity coming at me from my root. And so if you're looking for... A wax stick that's not going to leave your hair feeling crunchy or greasy or like literally that's not able to be washed out of your hair. People are so dramatic with their wax sticks. Like sometimes you put it by like a crap wax stick and you take a shower and it's still in your hair. That's not an option. Got2B is an OG hair care brand. We've been using them since we were in high school, and their wax stick is amazing. The ingredients are really great. They're coconut oil, castor oil, and shea butter. It doesn't leave your hair feeling flaky or even, like, hard or crunchy. And when you take a shower, like, your hair is back to normal. It's the way it should be. The packaging is super easy. It's twistable. To apply it, you partition your hair, apply the wax stick on the hairline, and add texture to the hair. Style your hair in a sleek bun or a ponytail if you're doing, like, a slick back look. I sometimes like to rub it on my hands and then, like, have my hands hover over my... flyaways. It's just like a good way to like not get those like alfalfa sprouts coming out of your forehead. So be slick with the Got2B Wax Stick. You can visit got2b.us for more information. Got2B is G-O-T-2-B. That's number two, letter B, .us for more information. And the product is the Got2B Wax Stick. It's perfect to just like, it's super compact. Throw it in your purse, in your makeup vanity, have one in the car. It's like good for touch-ups throughout the day. Today's episode is also brought to you by Ladder. Are you the type of person who doesn't know what to do at the gym? Like you just like play with the machines and sometimes you feel like embarrassed and awkward and it's just like kind of a waste of time. Well, Ladder is a great option for you. They're giving you a real plan from an expert coach. It's like, you know, if you've ever wanted to do like strength training or Pilates or whatever specific type of workout you want to do, Ladder is going to
