Speaker 4 (0:04) Welcome to the Instagram Stories for Thursday, September 24th. I'm your host, Daniel Hill. I wanted to make an episode yesterday, but I could not. And the reason is that Meta had their MetaConnect event and YouTube had their Made on YouTube event. And I needed them to post all of the content from those events so that I could review it and then compile it into an episode to just give you the highlights. We're going to do that today. We're going to get into what YouTube announced at their Made on YouTube event. They announced a lot, but we're just going to focus on the part that matters for creators. And we'll talk about what the head of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, announced at Meta Connect. New glasses, AI, a bunch more things, the parts that are relevant for you who are creating content. Then on the strategy portion of our episode, we'll get into a report about how Instagram collab posts can drive higher organic engagement by using one specific type of content and not another. We'll get into that later in the episode. All of that on today's episode, but first, a word from our sponsors. Speaker 1 (1:05) For many of us, going further isn't a choice. It's a feeling we can't ignore because ambition has a way of outgrowing where it began, turning dreams into direction. Every journey brings us closer to the life we imagine. So, where will your journey take you? Etihad, beyond borders. Speaker 4 (1:34) Welcome back. Let's get into the news. Yesterday, Meta had their Meta Connect event, and they announced a lot of products, services, and more. The head of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, did a video recap, and here's the clip. Speaker 5 (1:48) All right, lots of news coming out of Connect today, starting with Muse, your personal agent, which now has voice and real-time video. You can have long conversations, and your Muse will just work in the background and get things done for you while you're talking. Muse is going to be the foundation for how you can interact with all of your devices. We're bringing Muse to Glasses so that you can talk hands-free throughout the day, and it can take actions based on the things that you show it. We're also building a joyful little device for talking to your Muse that fits on your keychain that we're going to be shipping this December. Glasses, we've designed them for privacy from the start with the privacy light when you're taking a photo or video and if you tamper with it, then the camera gets disabled. Now we're going to the next level and adding private processing. So when you use certain AI features, nobody, not even meta, can access your information. One feature that I'm really proud of. is that MetaGlasses can now serve as FDA-cleared hearing aids. Our hearing enhancement feature is medical grade and can help with mild to moderate hearing loss for a fraction of the cost of a normal hearing aid and without needing another device. We're also releasing a lot of great new
