For over a decade, she's been translating the language of spirit into something the rest of us can actually use, a simple compass for everyday life. She's an intuitive mentor, host of the podcast, If It's Light, It's Right, and author of the brand new book, A Spirit's Journey. Her whole message comes down to one idea. You do not walk alone. Cheryl Bradley, welcome to the show. Thank Speaker 1 (1:15) you, Jim. Thank you. It's so, so wonderful to be here. Thank you for having me. Speaker 2 (1:19) Well, thanks for making the time for us. And what I'd like to do is, if it's okay with you, just give us a brief rundown of you. Tell us a little bit about you. Speaker 1 (1:31) Well, I am perfectly imperfect as everyone else. I'll start right from the start and I'll just swing it on over. I was born a medium, which truly just means that I could see spirit right from the get-go. And it's so interesting because I really thought everyone could see spirit. And so I'd always see faces, faces, faces. And then as I grew, that quieted for me because if you read my book, you'll know too, Jim, that we just quiet the earth's journey for a little bit while we kind of investigate. acclimate to the hum of earth. And so I went above my business. I was extremely intuitive, and I thought that that was my gift. And went through marrying my high school sweetheart, having two beautiful children, becoming a teacher, which is a love of my life, along with... spiritual mediumship. And then it was about, like you had mentioned earlier, 10 or 15 years ago, backwards. And I had a couple of family members that had passed on and they visited me in the most profound way that really just ignited that light. And things just really began. coming to me at warp speed. And I started giving messages to loved ones and family. And then it began into more of a professional place where I started doing readings in five different locations and so forth. And as we talked about earlier, Jim, too, it just, it gets to be so much. And Spirit had said to me that you would be retiring in... the seven years from the time that they told me, I said, I can't retire. My children are just out of college. And true to the fact, they said I would be too busy doing both. And that was exactly the case. And then I moved to do podcasts more profoundly. And in the presentation that they directed me to assemble. pre-COVID, pre-everywhere, began to be the light and parcel of the book that I was told to write. And I'm humbled with spirit to keep pushing that message out and letting everybody know, as you said, we're not alone. And I thank you for giving us a platform to reach more hearts that are open for that message. Speaker 2 (3:49) Well, it's my pleasure. And I do have some questions that I thought of, so as everybody probably knows by now, I do a pre-show phone call with everyone just to make sure, you know, the vibe's right. You know what I mean? So one of the things that came up, and you even mentioned it, being born a medium, but you also describe a medium rebirth later in life. What's the difference between the gift you came in with and the one that woke up after your children were grown? Speaker 1 (4:28) That is a great question. And every born medium has a different roadway. My roadway was, and I understood it more in the aftermath of the second half of the mediumship rebirth, as you mentioned it, and I love the way you mentioned that, is when I went back and I asked Barrett those pieces. And my life... journey was to be a mother at the foremost. It was to send my two beautiful children into the world ready, and then it would become my time. So it was approximately right after they began college and they kind of flew the coop, per se, that this epiphany and this lighted kind of explosion in me kind of just opened. It was part of my journey. um, to, to see it and then to quiet it a little bit in terms of, um, the, the, the spirits that I would see, I would always feel them. Um, but I wouldn't know how, again, I've never, I never expressed that with anyone as I was going through it. So I didn't really understand mediumship. I thought everyone saw it, but when I look back, I see that I. was born, I got quiet, which most of us do get quiet in the earth's journey. And then it was my time to serve and move from the ordinary, I suppose, to the platform of spirit. Speaker 2 (6:01) Extraordinary. Extraordinary. Speaker 1 (6:04) So Speaker 2 (6:04) you had also mentioned that you had two family members that came through after they passed with messages. for you and others. What was the first contact actually like? And did you trust it right away? Speaker 1 (6:20) Well, it happened in dream state. And that's what I want to, that's, it is a common place for spirit to kind of reach out because we've quieted that earth's chatter. We're completely open for spirit if we're sleeping. And so that's when that profound first opportunity. And when When loved ones do visit us in our dream state, which I have to say doesn't occur as much as people think it does, we dream about them and it's beautiful dreams. I have a whole curriculum on that as well. But when a visitation happens, it's profound. You don't have to check into it. You just know it. And it was a family member that it was my father-in-law, in fact, and he just showed up with his cup of coffee that he was always sitting with. And he just sat on a bench and welcomed me to sit down with him. And again, when our loved ones visit us in that state, it's not profound. It's not message related. It's not. It really is just, hey, hi, I'm good. I'm doing good. I'm all set over here. And that was just the profoundness. And then the second one was right after that with my grandmother coming to me. And that really just flew open the doors. Speaker 2 (7:29) You know, what's really interesting about that is. And I wrote about it in my book about having prophetic dreams. And that was actually one of the things I had. I don't know if you're familiar with Pat Longo, but Pat Longo is the matriarch of mediumship. And in particular, in Long Island, where she was the mentor and teacher for Teresa Caputo, Kim Russo. And one of the things that I came to Pat with on the... The first meeting that I had that was actually an interview, unbeknownst to me, was she asked, what did I want from you? Speaker 2 (8:10) taking her classes. And I said, well, a lot of the things that I... I get come in dreams and I'd really like to get it so I don't have to be asleep for that. So it's very interesting that you say that. And what's even more interesting is the visitation piece. Because I personally have experienced things where it just seems like matter of fact, right? So it'd be like, You just saw the person yesterday and you're sitting at the coffee table, kitchen table, and you're talking about something. And. It doesn't seem remarkable, right? It just seems like, oh, this is just an everyday occurrence. But it's things that have been going on that you had questions about. So is that kind of what you're talking about with that? Speaker 1 (9:12) Well, there's not so many. I categorize them by five dreams. But we have what's called release dreams and wish dreams. And those are sometimes just kind of a rewind of the day. Just kind of because our dream state, I always say, is not by chance because we have free will that's given to us by God. And that free will carries us everywhere, even in our dream state. And I say our dreams are not by chance. They don't just fall. We create them for whatever reasons we choose. And so sometimes those dreams that you speak of and you're the only author of them. So you're the only one that can. really decipher them. But if it's just an ordinary, it might be just a rewinding of the day. Just a rewinding of the day. I always say when you're in your dream state, check your emotions and check how you feel in that dream. Not every aspect, because that is what's going to drive you into knowing what type of dream is this? Is this a release dream, which we usually categorize as a nightmare, but it doesn't always have to be a nightmare. Sometimes it's just an unwinding of the day, just kind of going through that. And so too, when we see our loved ones on the other side in a dream, that doesn't... necessarily mean it's a visitation. It might be a wish dream or sometimes a release dream. Like, sure, why did my dad come to me? And he was crying. He was crying hysterically. He wouldn't listen to me when I wanted to talk to him. And I will always channel that. But spirit won't come down in a visitation with anything but light and love and a very simple hello message. And it's so profound, as you mentioned and we talked about, is that you don't need to decipher it. You know when it is a visitation dream. And there are different characteristics of dreams. But we dream purposeful. Speaker 2 (11:00) Okay. Okay. And thank you. And it's interesting because when you said the emotions associated with that, normally what... I will do if something's on my mind or heart, whatever you'd like to say, I'll ask before I go to sleep. And I have a ritual where I have like a... a, um, attendance list for gratitude where I'll be like, Oh, I'm, I'm grateful for so-and-so being in my life and so-and-so and so-and-so. And, um, but then I'll have the intention of what I'm, I'm trying to learn or receive. And that's when I'll usually, it doesn't happen all the time, mind you, Speaker 1 (11:47) but Speaker 2 (11:48) that's usually when I'll receive that. Well, it's this. And you already know what the answer is, but it's this. You're Speaker 1 (11:57) preaching to the choir. You know, so it's pretty Speaker 2 (12:00) cool. It's very cool. Those Speaker 1 (12:02) are called problem solving dreams. And those are where I am. That's my key spot because I. I can attune and ask spirit other things in my conscious life. But sometimes those are called problem. And I'll just wake up and I go, all right, I know what I need to do now. I don't, as you said, I don't need to have to rewind it or readdress. I'm like, all right, I got that now. Because that is the intent that you send. And that's a beautiful message to give your listeners too. We're all empowering, even in our sleep. Speaker 2 (12:30) I think especially. Speaker 1 (12:32) Especially because that chatter is shut off. And that's what I hear so often is, Cheryl, how do I shut it off? How do I shut that chatter off? Speaker 2 (12:40) And Speaker 1 (12:40) that's a use that use my word at the beginning to use the spiritual language. And it really is that we have to learn how to translate our own unique language with spirit. And that's part of it is learning how to shut that chatter off. Speaker 2 (12:54) Right. And like I said, that's that's a difficult thing to do sometimes. Speaker 1 (12:58) Absolutely. Speaker 2 (12:59) To me, it is anyway. So. You've described being outed as a psychic teacher. What actually happened and what did that cost you before it set you free? Speaker 1 (13:15) Well, when I was at the beginning of my professional awakening, I was brought to this location. And it's the Arlington Center, which is right in Boston, Mass. And I was brought there spiritually in one, two, three. And I got there. And the person that welcomed me to do readings and that sort of thing was well equipped in technology. And so he's like, OK. And I was not. This is pre-COVID. And I was kind of like, you know, I do spirit, but I don't know if anybody really knows that about Cheryl. Speaker 2 (13:53) And Speaker 1 (13:53) he was, you know, and he goes, OK, Cheryl, are you ready to, you know, to start readings? And I said, sure, I'm ready. And he pushed this button. Facebook, I think it was. And it's just broadcast. Cheryl Bradley does mediumship readings and does teaching. And I was getting all these messages. Cheryl, I didn't know. I didn't know. I didn't know. And I was like, oh, my goodness. Okay. I've now been outed. And it was very uncomfortable in my human skin. But in my spiritual skin, I know that that was just part of my walk. Speaker 2 (14:32) That's so cool. That is so cool. You know, in your book, You trace a soul from the other side, or it traces a soul from the other side through choices we make before we're even born into this life and back home. For someone who's never once thought about a before, Speaker 2 (14:58) Where do you even start that conversation? Speaker 1 (15:00) Yeah. And I will agree with you. I've had a conversation with people I really thought really resonated with the other side so deeply. And we'd have beautiful spiritual conversations. And I would say, well, do you believe in heaven? You know, other side, heaven, lighted realm, whatever word sits with people. And this man said, I'm not sure. And that was a real teaching moment for me. I'm like, wow, so that is not something that is in a given Speaker 2 (15:30) wheelhouse, right? Yeah, just as you Speaker 1 (15:33) mentioned. But the curiosity is there, but
