Speaker 1 (0:00) Guys, and that was Ty Logan of Don't Ruin It. What a banger. And I've got him here in the building. So a little bit about him. He's a comedian, content creator, actor and rapper. Because, you know, you just heard his tune. He's appeared in TV series including Sky One's Bloods, Comedy Central, UK's Drunk History, Black Stories. And in 2021, he was announced as a host of their rebooted British game show, Games Master. He just released recently that single you just heard, Don't Ruin It, which is adding to his brand of people. not ruining the vibe and he's also got his clover line coming up very soon so hi ty how's Speaker 2 (0:36) it Speaker 1 (0:36) going how Speaker 2 (0:37) you doing don't ruin it we're doing it that's it that's a good intro yeah Speaker 1 (0:42) loving it man thank you for coming so take me back to the beginning like when you were younger what did you want to do what was your first initial passion because you do a lot of things yeah Speaker 2 (0:51) do you know what do you know what yeah i'd say that when i was young i just wanted to be I wanted to do something fun. I didn't want to, like, sit in the office. I didn't really like maths, so I knew I wasn't going to be, like, an accountant or a banker. Speaker 1 (1:04) It's not a nine-to-five. That's not what I'm doing. Do you know what, though? In the end, I've still done a nine-to-five. No way. Speaker 2 (1:10) I've been a bin man. I've been Chinese takeaway. I've done Tesco delivery. I've sold windows and doors. I've done it all. You've done it all. I've worked. Speaker 1 (1:17) What was the worst job you've had, then? Speaker 2 (1:19) The worst job I've ever had was probably the bin man. Or working in the warehouse, 12-hour shift in the chiller. Chilly, it's cold, it's cold. And obviously I'm slim as well, so I haven't got much meat to keep me warm. So that was the hardest job I've ever done. It Speaker 1 (1:33) gets cold. I used to work in Sainsbury's a lot of years ago, and it's cold, you know. I used to be in there with bare layers, and I was like, I'm still cold. I'm literally still cold. Speaker 2 (1:41) See the whole Sainsbury's test goal? Yeah, it's chilly. It's long. Don't wrap up warm for that. Speaker 1 (1:46) Honestly. You've done a role in Bloods. What was that like? Speaker 2 (1:50) I'll be honest with you, it was only a small role. I was playing one Speaker 1 (1:53) of Speaker 2 (1:53) the young kids and obviously was in the ambulance fare and there was loads of things going on. But I did get a little line as well, so I worked like a little extra. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. Not Speaker 1 (2:02) an extra, I got the lines. Speaker 2 (2:04) But I feel like you see social media, I know a lot of people see me from social media, but that wasn't the plan. I didn't want to do social media, I wanted to Speaker 1 (2:12) do Speaker 2 (2:12) acting. Like serious roles. I didn't want to do... So that Speaker 1 (2:15) was your initial passion then? Yeah, that's the initial passion. Speaker 2 (2:18) That Speaker 1 (2:18) was my initial passion, Speaker 2 (2:18) to be a serious actor, making people cry from emotion. Obviously my acting skills. But I always made my friends, family. I was in... What did they call it? A class clown. I was a class clown. So I always made people laugh, do you know what I'm saying? But I didn't want to make a career out of it. Speaker 1 (2:33) So how did it happen? Because you're really big on social media. So was that like an accident? It Speaker 2 (2:38) was an accident. Yeah. Because... I feel like, imagine you had five, six, ten people telling you to get into modelling. You don't want to be a model, but everyone's telling you to do it. Speaker 1 (2:46) You know what I'm trying to say? And you're like, you know Speaker 2 (2:48) what, let me give it a try. Bam, bam. You put out a couple of pictures. Next thing you know, it's going viral. People are picking it up. This is going mad. People are following you. And you're thinking, oh, done. I didn't even want to be a model. Speaker 1 (2:58) That's mad. Because a lot of people, like, try the social media thing for long. So you kind of, like, just tried it a little bit, and that's it. Because that video went viral, isn't it? The Don't Speaker 2 (3:06) Ruin It one. um yeah you're ruining it yeah that was that was at the beginning of um my career and i wasn't taking i wasn't taking it serious i only done it every now and then i'd post once every few months and then leave but every time i'd post i'd get a big impact so i'm like bro let me carry on doing it let me get in the car and yes naturally yes just build layers just building from that really because a lot of people come and go on social media yeah Speaker 1 (3:32) So it's staying relevant, isn't it? Speaker 2 (3:34) Yeah, yeah, 100%. What was Speaker 1 (3:35) it like hosting Game Master? Speaker 2 (3:37) That was mad. Because it's TV now. It's different from just YouTube. You're doing TV. It's Speaker 1 (3:44) big things now. It's big Speaker 2 (3:45) things. The production, the people, everyone's just so much more serious. And because that was my first time, and to be a host as well, that means you're kind of important. Yeah, Speaker 1 (3:55) yeah, yeah. Speaker 2 (3:55) I've got a trailer. People grabbing me. I'm like, what? What's going on? But it was very challenging as well. There's a lot of pressure because it's very fast-paced. What did you Speaker 1 (4:04) find challenging about it? Because my Speaker 2 (4:07) job was to... to keep the audience active in the show sometimes when the audience the energy is dropping i've got to be the one to but when you've got the audience ain't giving you the energy it's harder that was my most Speaker 1 (4:20) challenging Speaker 2 (4:21) but i still i still enjoyed it i still found it fun it was a great experience no Speaker 1 (4:24) that's good yeah it's definitely one for the books you can be like look i did that i Speaker 2 (4:28) did it Speaker 1 (4:29) I did it. And you also have your Clover line. Yes. Tell me about your Clover line. What made you want to do it? You know, where can we find it? Tell me everything. So what Speaker 2 (4:37) it is, yeah, I feel like the last few years, obviously, I'm new to social media. And it's like, I don't just want all my money to come from one source. You know what I'm saying? Because imagine if the fans said, you know what, I'm done. I don't like Ty Logan anymore. I don't want to watch him. No, that means no money. So I said, you know what, let me catch it quick. Let me start setting up things where even if I'm not popping online, whatever you want to call it, relevant, whatever you want to call it, I'm still getting my spread. Because then the power's in your hands. Speaker 1 (5:06) Exactly. And you know what
