There's different kinds of demons. What we call sin-level demons, trauma-level demons, easy to discern. And then we call it occult-level. Occult level demons are those that would go by proper names, such as Odin, Thor, Loki, Fenrir, Freya, Anya. Kingdoms are how the different kinds are structured within an individual. In my East Tennessee slang, the big one slapped the little one on the back of the head, said, you get up there, take the punishment, you better not tell them we're here. And he would blow this horn and call for the gods of the north, the gods of the south, all to come and possess them so that they could control the gang members and the prison. Why are you here in the name of Jesus? And then literally the demon goes, they never told me to leave. I have a special hatred for Loki. If Loki is there, I will... isolate Loki, get Loki out, then proceed with the delivery. Why do you hate Loki so much? Because Loki, this girl pulls in and she gets out. She looks like a full-blown witch. And she's coming up to the door. So I open the door to welcome her and she fully manifests. She confessed about a year in that she actually came just to kill us. Gave me the dagger that she did a blood sacrifice to bail. I told the team, if you don't want to go, don't go. Because if God doesn't show up the way we desire, we die tomorrow. Speaker 6 (1:53) The Lord spoke to me just over a year ago and He said, Son, He's always called me Son, even in the midst of horrible stuff, He's always called me Son. But He said, Son, you're stuck in war mode. I need you to learn to be in family mode, to sit in the living room with the Lord and not fight. I realized after my love encounter that I'd spent so much of my life trying to get what I already had. So psyched. We haven't really had a pre-podcast conversation that made me run around the room in a long time. So we have Mike Brewer with us today. I'm going to give a quick bio of Mike Brewer, and then I have a specific, I want to ask you a question specific at the very beginning. Mike Brewer is an apostolic leader, author, entrepreneur, founder of The Equipping Company. You've been in ministry for 25 years teaching. pastors and ministry leaders and believers, how to walk in biblical truth, spiritual authority, and kingdom influence. The people that you have helped have gone on to plant more than 5,000 churches. That's a lot of churches, man. Speaker 6 (3:03) It's a lot of churches. Speaker 5 (3:04) I can't even count that high. All across the earth. Speaker 6 (3:08) Primarily Haiti and India, but other places. Speaker 5 (3:11) Haiti and India. So difficult places for a church probably to be planted. You're also the founder of the Kingdom Warfare Leadership Institute. Funny story, I had a friend of mine who's going through some of your courses right now. And she was like, I mean, these people are pretty high up in ministry. She was like, can I come? I was like, he's just not going to sign autographs at the podcast. We'll wait for that later. So you're helping a lot of people through that. And your passion is to equip these believers to walk in supernatural authority, kingdom effectiveness, and raising spirit-filled leaders so that they can go do what we're called to do, change our families, our churches, our businesses, our communities through the gospel. Quick caveat, quick warning before we get into this. Mike has some insane experiences because you do deliverance. And anytime you're in deliverance, you're going to have crazy supernatural encounters. But I think one of the hallmarks about you is that you're cultivating an appetite in people, not for supernatural things, but for Jesus. And the byproduct of Jesus is that you will walk in supernatural power. You got it. That's absolutely right. Because you've got to be careful with some of this stuff. Because people will just start searching out supernatural things. There's the curiosity mode. People Speaker 6 (4:25) come into the curiosity. When they start deliverance, the first six months is all curiosity and excitement. But then there's the love discipline that keeps them going. Discipline? Speaker 5 (4:35) The dirty word. We'll get into that. You were telling us before, and I loved this story so much because I made a statement on one of our podcasts recently. I was like, I love witches. They're awesome. And Speaker 4 (4:47) people were like, how dare you? You're a tool of Satan. Speaker 5 (4:50) You can't love these people. God hates witches. I was like, God doesn't hate witches. God hates witchcraft. He loves the people. You were saying you were invited onto this podcast with a witch? Speaker 6 (5:01) Yeah, yeah, yeah. This past month, I was on guys in Europe, and they reached out to me. It's like, man, we love your stuff. We'd like for you to come on. I don't know who they are, so I researched them. And I'm like, they're literally like... talking a lot about witchcraft here. So I write them back. I'm like, hey, you know, I am a spirit-filled believer. I cast out things you guys welcome in. They're like, man, we just want you to come on and talk to us. And I'm like, well, this will be fun. So I get a whole bunch of intercessors and I go on this guy's podcast. I got over a million followers. I mean, it was crazy. I don't know where all the followers are, but they're based in Europe. Speaker 3 (5:38) And Speaker 6 (5:38) then the guy starts telling me, he's like, man, I'm a witch of witches. I'm an Odin worshiper. Odin appeared to him and called him to follow him. And I'm like, why do you want me? I just couldn't fathom that he would want me. And we just had an incredible conversation. And I got off there, and I called my spiritual father, and I'm like, listen, I really like this guy. Yeah. And he's like, it might be a Daniel Nebuchadnezzar thing. You know, he might be bringing you in to help steer some stuff. And I'm like, it's unusual that I would finish, you know, two and a half, three hours of conversation with a high ranking pagan person with extremely different views. And we enjoyed each other. Now, I'm not justifying his view, but I see him as, you know, he's just not born again yet. He's got to get some stuff in line. But his heart, he's using his demonic powers, he thinks, for good, trying to expose all kinds of bad stuff in the world. But, man, he was smoking dope while I Speaker 3 (6:38) was Speaker 6 (6:38) on the interview with him. I'm like, this is mind-boggling. We have to find that episode Speaker 5 (6:43) and Speaker 6 (6:44) put it in the show notes and Speaker 5 (6:46) watch it. Yeah. That's one of them. That's one of the coolest stories ever because so many people who get to Jesus, they then are afraid of anyone who hasn't gotten to Jesus without realizing they were those people that didn't have Jesus at one point. And somebody talked to them. Speaker 5 (7:03) This is the boxes we live in. It is mind-blowing. But anyways, let's dive in. I want to go through the first thing you do when you're delivering people and you're dealing with demons. And we were talking about Sears and some of the data that comes from Sears is super irrelevant. Speaker 4 (7:18) Wait, did he tell you the story about how he got into delivering stuff? No. You need to start there, dude. Start there before you go there because that's a wild story. You're talking about Applebee's? No, the church and the region and going with your daughter to church. Oh, yeah. I think we should hear where you got into this. There's a story Speaker 6 (7:37) way on before that that got me exposed. Let's start. Let's go back. Let's go back. Speaker 5 (7:41) How'd you get into Speaker 6 (7:42) it? Yeah, so. Speaker 6 (7:45) I was at the height of my rebellion against God. I got born again at 16. By my 20s, I'm partying, doing all the normal bad stuff that you do. And I come back to Jesus at 22. God just wrecks me. There's a whole story there. My father came to know Jesus. It opened my heart back up because I used to pray for my dad. And my mom rings me up at midnight one night. And I'm in the height of my rebellion. I answer the phone. I'm like, Mom, is everything okay? And she's crying hysterically on the phone. I'm like, what's wrong? What's wrong? And she said, Michael, I'm just calling to tell you that your dad and your brother came to Jesus tonight. And I mean, I was so immediately convicted. And the Lord spoke to me, and He said, I mean, exact moment. He said, Son, I've been faithful to you in your prayers, although you've not been faithful to me. And it broke me. 22 years old, it broke me. Started following Jesus at that point forward. I was bound. I was bound in pornography. And when I was 12 years old, a police officer gave me a bag of pornography. Although I had no access to this. A Speaker 4 (8:54) police Speaker 6 (8:54) officer in my hometown at 12 years old gave me a black, you know, it was magazines back then. And so although I didn't have a lot of access to those things other than that, the imagery was still in my mind. And I couldn't get rid of it. So when I come back to the Lord, I wasn't... Although I was around church quite a bit growing up, I wasn't structured. I wasn't told, you can't do all these things. I wasn't in this limiting viewpoint. So I just started reading my Bible, and I see the disciples fasted, and I'm like, I should fast. All this stuff's in my head, and I can't make it go away. So I started fasting, and at the end of that, I was at an altar in a church, and this guy comes up, puts his arm around me, hand on my chest. And he said, Father, forgive him. It's become an addiction. And there was an explosion just like where his hand was. I felt this thing thrust out of me. And I just collapsed. I was conscious, but I just collapsed. And I laid there just looking up. And it was like cold water washing over my mind. And that was my first deliverance. And I got up and I was free. How old were you? 22. Yeah, because it was just weeks, like right after I came back to the Lord. And so I'm sharing this with people, and it's like images might pop in my mind, but I could control it. And I thought, wow, I can control my mind now that that thing's gone. So then I'm reading my Bible, and I'm just trying to learn the gospel really again. And I'm reading and come across like Matthew 10, it talks about. You know, heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons. So I dropped my Bible on my knees. I'm like, God, I don't see a lot of people casting out demons today. Well, I didn't know anybody casting out demons. I'm like, feel free to use me. So I'm just a couple of weeks back into this thing. Now, I used to be like a fighter, you know, martial arts and all MMA stuff. So my nature was to fight. That's another story. But anyway, I preach my first message. Shortly after that, and to make a long story short, a bunch of us go to Applebee's. And 15 of us, everybody leaves but this acquaintance that's sitting across from me. And he looks at me. The pastor just led him to the Lord. He'd come out of drugs and stuff. And he looks at me and he says, Mike, why can't I be free like other people? My first thought was, I have no idea. You know, I really don't know him. But in that moment. There was a word of knowledge, which I didn't have a clue what that was at that point, but just dropped in me, and I just spoke the words to him. I said, maybe there's a point of pain in your life that's never been healed. And Taylor, when I said point of pain, there was a look. It came across his face and just glared at me. And I call it the look. Most people, they've seen the look if they've done any deliverance. But that was the first time I ever saw a demon glare at me. Well, I'm excited. I just prayed a couple weeks before. I'm like, it's about to be on. And I'm like, hey, let's pay the bill. Let's go outside. I want to pray for you. So we go outside Applebee's restaurant across from the airport in my hometown. And we go up behind my big truck. And I do like that guy did me. Put my arm around him. Put my hand on his chest. But I said, Satan, I come against you in the name of Jesus. And he goes, Speaker 4 (12:25) it Speaker 6 (12:26) just falls on his back, just growling at me. I'm like, oh, my gosh. So I'm like, I don't know what's about to happen. I mean, he's on the ground, but I'm like, in my mind, what if he runs into the highway? And, you know, because it's four lane highway in front of the airport. And so I dropped down in a jujitsu move, put my knee on his belly. And I'm like, who are you in the name of Jesus? And this thing, it contorts his face. It literally burst the blood vessels inside his eyes. I mean, it was bad because I didn't know how to control anything. I don't know. I literally know nothing. I read two weeks before about this stuff. So I'm like, who are you in the name of Jesus? He goes, I am lust in this big growling voice. So I skip every protocol I teach today. I'm like, lust, come out of him in the name of Jesus. And then my world changed because in a feminine mocking tone, This thing that's all angry goes, lust Speaker 4 (13:23) come Speaker 6 (13:24) out of him Speaker 3 (13:24) in Jesus' name. Speaker 6 (13:27) And like my faith. It mocked Speaker 3 (13:28) you. Speaker 6 (13:28) It mocked me. My faith that was all up here, you know, three seconds before is about halfway down. So I'm like, okay, that didn't take. I'm going to try it again. So I'm like, lust come out of him. You know, I raised my voice more aggressive because I think that's what's going to work. That'll scare it. Yeah, it's going to scare it. Yeah. And then it's like. Let's come out of him. It's just more feminine, mocking tone. You can see the faith leave my feet. I am defeated. So the next time I'm like, go down in the name of Jesus. Go down in the name of Jesus. So now my new friend, he is looking at me and he remembers nothing except us walking out there. So he's like, Mike, what's going on? I'm on top of him halfway up the rear end of my Dodge truck at that point. And I'm like, Speaker 6 (14:15) you got some spiritual issues and I'm calling the pastor. And then it hits me. I'm in Applebee's restaurant and I'm thinking, oh my God, I'm about to go to jail for assault. You know, they're going to call the police. This is all public. So anyway, I do. I get him up. I call the pastor and I'm like, hey, you know that guy you led to Jesus because it's his fault. The guy you led to Jesus and baptized, he's manifesting demons and I need help. And he's like, all right, bring him over to the elder's house. Well, this is like 1050 at night. And the first thought, he's not getting in my truck. But, you know, we get him over there. Did you throw him in the bed? No, he had a son that was in his truck, drove him over. And so we go over and we, you know, pastor, the elder, me, and this guy is in a room. And we fight with this thing. We fight. None of us really know what we're doing. We fight, like physically, all over the floor. Speaker 6 (15:12) And about 2.30 in the morning, he told us that his uncle had him growing up. And, of course, we led him through healing and forgiveness and just the presence of God came in. It was so peaceful. None of us checked to see if the demon was gone. We just kind of, okay, this is good. He confessed. He's healed. Let's go on about our business. So we all go home. The pastor calls me in like a week later into the church, a week or two later, and he's like, hey, Mike, we need to start deliverance classes. Now, here's the context. I'm 22 years old. He just took this church. It's really growing. People are getting saved. We're in a tent outside. He's running ads in the paper going, if you're a witch, a pedophile, a thief, a drug addict, a prostitute. Come to the church on the hill. We're the church for you. So we have people flocking in to this. Oh, yeah, it was incredible. People coming in to scout out stealing the sound system, all of this stuff. So he is like, we need to start deliverance classes at the church. I'm like, yes, we do. And then he said, I want you to lead them. And I'm about to throw up. I'm like, there's no way that I'm going to lead deliverance classes at this church. And then he said these horrible words. He said, you need to realize you're the second most experienced person we have at the church. And I look, I'm like, we're a really bad church if I'm the second best that we have. But, you know, he's the pastor. He's like, you're going to do this? I'm 22. I'm working a factory at night. I'm like, okay. I said, can I at least study for a week before we do this thing? Because I'm like, at least I could be a week ahead of people coming in. So we're in a tent. There is a double-wide trailer out back, and I get one of the bedrooms in the trailer to do this deliverance class. So that's the setting, you know. So week one, I'm like teaching really slow stuff because I'm trying to learn, like, we should forgive people, you know, the basics. Week two, walking down the hall is my Applebee's buddy. And my heart just starts pounding, you know, because I'm like, it's just like PTSD or something. I don't know. So he comes in. He walks straight up to me. He said, Mike, he said, I'm not going to kill myself. But the voices won't tell. Well, they won't stop. They keep saying, kill yourself. You're no good. So this time it felt different in me. And I just turned. I said, in the name of Jesus, who are you? And boom. Speaker 4 (17:49) The Speaker 6 (17:50) same demon. So I'm pretty natural. I'm spiritual, but I'm also like, hey, if it's still there, why? So I'm like, why are you still there? Lie not to Jesus. And he's like, the curse. I'm like, what curse in the name of Jesus? Tell me. And he said, incest from his father. Well, he had told us his uncle, but his father had incested him. So I bound the demon, like, go down in Jesus' name. And I said, hey, you told us your uncle did this, not your dad. And he's like, how do you know? And I said, the Lord just forced that thing to tell us. And then we walked him through deliverance that day, and all kinds of stuff came out of him. But that was my introduction to deliverance. You know, it went from, I mean, that was like a month of coming back to Jesus. And so it changed my whole world. And I do want to say one thing. I'm not like the deliverance minister. To me, it's something we do, the byproduct of the gospel. But I have no identity wrapped up in doing deliverance. Right now, it's really God's breathing on it in the body. Speaker 4 (18:57) That is insane. But Taylor walked into the house. You remember the story you were telling me downstairs when you had to move back? and God wanted you to cast the witchcraft out of the region. Speaker 6 (19:08) Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaker 4 (19:09) Could you tell Taylor that story? That Speaker 6 (19:11) story. Okay. Speaker 4 (19:12) That's the beginning story. Because you did not want to get into some of the stuff you're doing. Right, Speaker 6 (19:16) yeah. So many years removed from the Applebee's stories, lots of growth, international mission. My wife and I moved to Haiti in August 2009, and it was right before the earthquake, went through a whole lot of stuff. We made it through all of that, and there's lots of stories in that. Kind of at the height of it, we'd taken like 1,100 people on international trips, build a clinic, two children's homes, church planting movement, all that. So the Lord speaks to me and it's like, move back to Tennessee, release the international, move back to East Tennessee, plant an apostolic hub, and in 10 years, I'll give you more fruit in the nations than if you remain on the mission field. And that was really shocking to us because we thought we'd be there forever. And so we come back. Start having meetings, very small meetings, like five families. I don't do marketing. We didn't have a sign on the building in the beginning. It was just intercession. So as this progresses, my wife has gone to the Nation of Wales, Bible College of Wales, doing a week of intercession with one of our spiritual fathers. And I get up on a Saturday morning. I go over to the well. That was our church. And I'm spending the morning in prayer. She prays for a week. I'll go pray for Saturday. Speaker 6 (20:34) And during that, the Spirit of God spoke to me and said, I'm giving you, which meant the well, I'm giving you a mandate of intercession for the full eradication of witchcraft and occult powers out of the region. And it was one of the real heavy words. So I got a hold of our elders. I said, this is what I believe God is saying. This will change everything if he is. So you guys go pray fast. We'll come back together and judge that. Everybody came back and they said, we believe this is gone. So we started shifting our prayers like, God, let us see what's going on. Open this up. Unlock all of this. And just days, weeks right after getting that, I'm watching our church Facebook messenger. And this person had written in. She's writing all this stuff, and I'm watching one of our pastors go back and forward with her. And I'm like, that's demonic. Like, there's demons involved here. You know, you just see it. And so I'm like, hey, here's my phone number. Call me. So I'm in my car driving to Knoxville. My daughter's in the car. Phone rings. I'm like, hey, this is Mike. And then the next thing I hear is, she belongs to me, and you can't have her. And my daughter's like, Dad, you know, and he's coming through the speakers on the car. So I'm like trying to bind the demon. So anyway, I get the demon bound like, hey, you're the one that was messaging in. Yes, yes. And I'm like, listen, we got service tonight. Come a couple hours early. We're going to minister to you. You Speaker 4 (22:08) know, cast Speaker 6 (22:08) out some demons. I'm not too concerned. I probably should have sought the Lord on the magnitude of what was about to happen, but just cast out demons. We get to the church, call a couple of people, come in early. This girl pulls in and she gets out. You know, she looks like a full-blown witch. And she's coming up to the door. So I open the door to welcome her and she fully manifests. I mean, just crazy. We drag her into this room and we fight with this thing for a long time. Well, come to find out, she was a deep occult family. She's a part of a deep occult family. She was conceived in ritual. Born in ritual, baptized in blood. I mean, she was up there in this SRA. She was a victim. Then she did stuff for others, part of the family. I mean, it was really bad stuff. She's still going through some deliverance today. I mean, it was bad. A lot of programming. Speaker 4 (23:02) How many years ago Speaker 6 (23:03) was Speaker 4 (23:03) this? Speaker 6 (23:04) Almost. That would have been about seven, I guess. Yeah. All right. Speaker 4 (23:09) Yeah, it's Speaker 6 (23:10) taken a long time to untie Speaker 4 (23:11) that. Was that the story you were? Yeah. And when you said she was born in ritual, what did that mean? Speaker 6 (23:17) Yeah. So conceived in like doing the sex magic ritual thing. And then she Speaker 4 (23:22) was birthed in ritual. Yeah. Speaker 6 (23:23) Soon as she comes out into like the ceremony that they were, they were doing, raising her up, bride of Satan, all of the catchphrases, but like this was, this was real in her life. And then she confessed about a year in that she actually came to. just to kill us, you know, to put death curses on us, gave me the dagger that she did a blood sacrifice to bail, try to put a death curse on us. And it was, it was wild that, that took us to levels that we had never experienced before. And I've heard some others say like, you, you want to, you want a PhD in, in demonology and deliverance minister to an authentic SRA victim, because you're going to learn some stuff. So she's still getting Speaker 5 (24:09) free now. When did she become born again or anything like that? That night or what did it take? No, Speaker 6 (24:16) no, I, there was, there was probably levels of deception. I mean, we're fighting with demons. She's, she come to realize that she could get free. Like she really didn't believe that she could get free. And so somewhere in that process. she started changing sides and started to follow Jesus. We baptized her. I don't remember how many months into that process. Speaker 5 (24:42) Yeah. SRA is so hard because of the disassociation and the fracturing. So you can have a piece of someone that wants to be free and a piece of them that doesn't. And it's like you can't speak to both of them at the same time. Right. Yeah. I Speaker 6 (25:00) mean, you got to map it all out. God was teaching us to map it out. At one point, I remember having like 85 different personalities documented. And some of these were from trauma. Some of these were programmed. So they would do something to split the mind. As soon as it split, they start placing identity and teaching that part. You're a priestess of Diana. So anytime they want to honor Diana, that part comes forward. Or you're a... priestess of this, and that part would come forward in that ritual. There was one of the, I think it was New Year's, that we're doing some deliverance and stuff. All of a sudden, this part bursts forward. We'd never seen before. It starts to run. We stopped them, and it was a part that was programmed. Its sole purpose was if this individual was not at a particular ritual site on New Year's to get there. It was never going to be triggered unless she was not already at that
