It sucks for farmers who have nothing to do with this, who aren't, because it's all going to trickle back. But this story comes from the hill. Parasite cells in America are taking a serious hit thanks to that cyclospora outbreak. out of the fear of contracting an ugly bout of explosive diarrhea, a new poll shows that 40% of Americans have admitted to buying or eating less produce. I'm in that. I'm in that, so I'm not better than that. I'm a little in it. I bought some, but I'm not fully, but I know that I've cut back. But maybe I'm going to ramp back up this weekend. Well, I tend to do. a lot of my shopping on Fridays, especially with the Fridays I get my kids back. So I feel like I'm going to probably just shop normal. I'm not going to let anything stop me. It's getting a little less corny, or maybe I'm just becoming immune to the corn. I like the cord. I think it works in this show. It's good. It's the girl, the Queen's Gambit. Oh, that girl, okay. I mean Taylor Joy. Yeah, she's kind of running from the law. Got it. She was a con. Her dad's a con man. And so she was with him. It's pretty good. I like those type of shows. My wife has queued one up for us next because Apple puts out shows weekly, which is kind of annoying. So we can't just binge stuff. But then we stay in it longer. That's probably what I would do if I was putting out a show, do it episodically. But there's a show called, hmm, un... Maybe it's called Ruthless. Unruthless or just ruthless? I don't know it's on Hulu. It's about a woman. It's almost a Dexter type situation where the woman is an FBI agent and she's trying to catch this female serial killer who's killing like bad guys that have like abuse issues. Maybe it's called Ruthless. Or I don't know. There's too many shows, man. Yeah, I mean there is a show called or maybe that's a movie. Rufeless. Tyler Perry's Ruthless is not it. Let me check. I have a Hulu app here. but we're going to hit this one up. Let's see. Do you ever watch your apps on your phone? Like your shows? I mean, it's so rare. It's called Furious. Furious. I knew there was an S. Tomato. It's so rare that I do stuff on my phone, but I have. I mean, it's either my computer or a TV. I watch a lot of YouTube on my phone, which by the way, at Bobby, on show on YouTube if you guys want to go over there and hit subscribe. But I rarely watch shows. But like my podcast, that's what. Netflix hopes is that people will start to spend more time watching podcasts on Netflix because people watch them on YouTube all the time. So we did an episode that's up today about the greatest country crossovers into pop. What comes to mind? Tim McGraw and Nellie. Or was that a pop that went country? Okay. Taylor Swift, like, I don't know, tons of her songs. We all fought about which ones. Some of them just got so way later because it was Taylor and some of them actually did cross over. Lady Annabelle, need you now. That was one that got picked. Yeah, that's a big one. The car song was one of them. Oh, from Rascalots? Yeah, life is a highway. Yeah. So they're trying to get people to watch on their phone. So if you want to check out the Bobbycast, we did that and debated the best country crossovers into pop. I picked one that never even crossed over. What was that? Well, no, I was stupid. I thought it crossed over. And then what we do is we type all the ones we pick, we put them into three different AIs, Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT, and then we let them decide who the winner is. And so I thought what hurts the most crossed over. It didn't. It didn't. But you can see that for yourself. Okay. That's my story. What's yours? Well, there's a blood shortage, and I just thought it would be good for us to know about it, especially our resident blood donor, Lunchbox. American Red Cross declared its second ever national blood supply crisis this week. We fall into a four-year summer low. The reasons behind this, extreme heat, poor air quality, food-borne illnesses, I imagine the parasite situation. American Red Cross says it has less than one-day national supply of type O positive blood, which is the most commonly transfused blood type. And they're now limiting distribution to hospitals. So the demand for blood is at a high. If you can donate, you can hit up a RedCross.org or I guess where do you donate? Red Cross. Okay. I go to the center. How often? Once a quarter because Red Cross, you have to wait longer to donate again. So yeah, I can only do it a couple times, three times a year maybe. All right. What's your story? In Massachusetts, there was a guy that worked to the post office. He was an inspector and he was the boss. didn't know this, but they would flag packages coming from elderly thinking, okay, that could be a fraud. Coming from elderly? Yeah, elderly going somewhere. How do they know if it's coming from someone old? I don't know exactly how their system works, but it says they would flag packages from the elderly about 75 years old in their 80s. And whenever it felt like cash, he was like, just send that to me, send that to me, send that to me. And usually they investigate it. And if it's cash, they give it back to the person they do, you know. So they don't owe people to get scammed. Right. Got it. It's a checks and balances, I guess. Well, this is, he's the boss. He was just keeping the cash. $330,000. Oh my gosh. That's the problem with cash. That you can't prove it's anybody's. Yeah, so if it felt like cash, he was like, I'll handle that one. I'll handle that one. How'd they catch him? They just started getting suspicious and they caught him money laundering because he was buying all these like vacations and he bought. countertops and escorts. Do you know how I was laundering the money? Escorts. No, I do not. That's always something that would be difficult to do. He paid for a patio, granite countertops, lighting for his pool and bar, cruises. Wow. Yeah, that's a lot. I don't know what a salary was, but I think if I were going to launder money, I would go to the casino and take the money and buy chips, walk around for a few hours. Maybe stay the night, gamble a little more, but not a ton, take your cash back in. That's where I got. Look at all this money I got. Yeah, if you don't have time or to set up this whole business as a front to wash it, then yeah, I feel like that's not a bad idea. Yeah, he intercepted 1,950 packages. Which many probably also intercepted a bunch of packages that didn't have cash and then people didn't get their mail. He just thought was cash? Yeah. Oh, don't you think he throws it back in? Could he mail it? I don't know. It doesn't feel like a high integrity guy. Okay. Well, I just feel like even for him, it might help him at least feel like he's canceling out the bad. I don't think he feels bad. Okay. All right. That's interesting. Cancelling out the bad? I don't know. Maybe. He's Robin Hood. If he goes and does some good with some of that money? Oh, like if he tips more? Yeah. Well, he could, maybe. But, I mean, he gave a fabricator a job with his new granite. Yeah, but he wanted the granite. Like, he actually needed the granite, you know. Today on the pushup channel. challenge. Before Eddie was going, you were saying he's taking everything out of his pocket. He's taking his keys, skull caps. Does Eddie chew? I need to know the answer to this. No, I was kidding. No, Eddie doesn't dip or chew or any of that. I even miss that you said that. Yeah, I was like, take all the stuff out of your pockets, keys, you know, skull. Just a little joke. But that, those videos of you two doing push-ups on the stage here in the studio, hilarious. He was just trying to go quick and it wasn't, wasn't a good look for Eddie. It wasn't. No, I don't think I'd be that kind of guy I think he was in trouble before the Powerball And then he won the big money And I think he's continued to get in trouble And I just, I'm starting to worry That this dude's never going to get to spend his money I think if you come into a lot of money or you work yourself into a lot of money, money makes you more of what you already are. It doesn't change who you are. But I think money and power allow you to be more freely who you originally would have been to begin with. And I think that's probably what's happening here. The guy from Kentucky was arrested on Sunday for felony domestic violence charges. He's had three other arrests since winning, including resisting arrest, assault on an officer. he was expected to split his winnings with his mom, but they're not saying if that happened or not. They're acting like maybe it didn't. Oh, yeah. If he's this shady and in trouble, I bet it didn't. Yeah, I think he is very shady and I don't know. Like if you have that much money, dude, just like go live in a mansion and not interact with anybody. Go to anywhere. You can just do anything and he's still running around with the same people. But that's anything. You get to do anything. You get to do more of what you already wanted to do and more than who you already are. The other one was this guy in Ohio won two times in a week. He won a prize of $40,000 and then won another $25,000 prize the same week. How? That's pretty good. Like, how does that happen? He said the winnings will allow him to extend his upcoming vacation, buy a new vehicle, share with his kids, and boost his savings. Yep. So $65,000, probably $45,000 after taxes, for sure vacation. about the time you buy a vehicle you share a little with kids I don't get me you don't got a lot for savings there but I mean he gets extended his vacation Yeah Gosh twice in one week I mean you win the one You probably think okay I'm gonna take a week off I'm reading this wrong He won $40,000 a year for 25 years I'm retired It wasn't $40,000 once He won it a year for 25 years Yeah Yeah that's crazy These are the eight things affecting your quality of life I guess I'm going to reach you the thing and just tell me what yours is. The distance between your house and your job. That doesn't bother me too much. What is it, though? About 20 minutes, but we don't have traffic. Is that far? Yeah. Mine's about 11 minutes? It's pretty good. I mean, I'd say on a good day. I could do 18. Well, we don't need to do a good day. I mean you're going fast. I made you going too fast. Well, I make lights and stuff. Oh, you know? I'm about 20 minutes, but I like it. I like the 20 minutes. But if we were driving in traffic hours, which Eddie and I would have to if we had normal working our jobs, it would probably take us closer to 45 minutes, didn't you think? Yeah. Yeah. But you don't. Right. So it doesn't affect, I mean, it's just straight up the distance between your house and your job when you have to do it. Correct. Lunchbox you? About nine minutes. On a bike? Well, you didn't say, I'm just, on a bike, it's 15 to 18. Well, how do you get to work on a bike? It's, if you, when you leave every day and you go to work, how long does it take? About 15 to 18 minutes? Yeah. Okay. But that's forever. You guys are doing traffic too. Just, maybe I set this up wrong. When you go to work, how long does it take? Amy? 20 minutes. Yeah. Eddie? 20 minutes. Lunchbox? 15 to 18 minutes. Mine's 11. What you feed your mind all day. And these are all things that affect your quality of life. What would you say you, feed your mind all day. Just the, what comes to mine? Well, I've been reading a lot lately, so that is awesome. We're listening to audiobooks. And then social media, I have to monitor that, or it will impact my life. Yeah, mine is a lot of social media. Mine's a lot of news, because that does impact my life too, because most of the news that you're reading is not positive news because positive news doesn't get the clicks. So there's a lot of just consumption, period. And a lot of that's because of the show, but I'm still consuming it. and then we try to stream one show a night after the baby goes to bed. So there's that. And then I do try to read a little bit, but it's mostly just consuming media for the sake of this show and then a little bit for my own personal. But that's that. You?
