Speaker 5 (0:00) This is an iHeart Podcast. Guaranteed human. Welcome to Decoding Women's Health. I'm Dr. Elizabeth Poynter, Chair of Women's Health and Gynecology at the Adria Health Institute in New York City. I'll be talking to top researchers and clinicians and bringing vital information about midlife women's health directly to you. 100 % of women go through menopause. Even if it's natural, why should we suffer through it? Listen to Decoding Women's Health with Dr. Elizabeth Poynter on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And when a story deserves a deeper conversation, I'll sit down with experts, newsmakers, and thought leaders to help you better understand the issue behind the headlines. Listen to Front Page from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Speaker 5 (1:05) Hi, I'm Bob Pittman, chairman and CEO of iHeartMedia and host of the podcast, Math & Magic, Stories from the Frontiers of Marketing. Your timeline is not anybody else's. Stay in the game and let them find you. I'm also talking to Capital One's Mark Mentry and marketing executive Diego Scotti. Purpose-driven marketing should be part of your mainstream marketing. Listen to Math & Magic, stories from the frontiers of marketing on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Speaker 1 (1:43) Folks, there's important news, there's depressing news. And then there's the news we actually want to talk about. On our podcast, Bananas, we search far and wide for all the news stories that make you say, what, what? And then we tell you all about them. Speaker 8 (1:57) Doorbell prankster that tormented German resident apartments turns out to be a slug. Speaker 7 (2:02) Ding dong. New Speaker 8 (2:03) episodes drop Tuesdays with more than 400 episodes to catch up on. Listen to Bananas Speaker 1 (2:08) on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Speaker 1 (2:13) We're live. We're live. Wow. I'm back. Sound good. Speaker 8 (2:19) I would say your typical voice being a hundred and when you have COVID, did you ever have COVID? Yeah. You were a zero. I would put it at about a 79. That's Speaker 1 (2:35) better than nothing. It might be in the 80s, actually. Yeah, I think I'm a little congested. Okay. I think I got a little congestion up top, but Speaker 2 (2:42) feeling Speaker 1 (2:43) good otherwise, man. It feels good to be back. Speaker 2 (2:45) I'm exhausted. It's Speaker 8 (2:47) actually shockingly better than I thought it would be. Speaker 1 (2:50) Yeah, me too. Speaker 2 (2:53) You Speaker 1 (2:53) prepare for the worst? All day yesterday, I was like, oh, man, I don't know if I'm going Speaker 2 (2:57) to Speaker 1 (2:57) be able to do it. Don't know if I'm going to be able to do it. We'll see how I feel tomorrow. So it was shaky. It was shaky. It was touch and go. You couldn't talk to your kids? I got home at 8 Speaker 2 (3:08) .30 last night, so they were ready for bed. So I said, hey, hey, we talked for five minutes. Speaker 1 (3:15) Put them in bed. Cardi B, yeah, big booty. They're like, Dad, how was it? And I was like, Cardi B was awesome. Yeah, do they know any of those people? They might know Benson Boone because he has one song. Of all the people, that's who they know. Who even Speaker 8 (3:35) is that? Does he sing Ordinary? All I know is he screams, he does flips, and he has his shirt off every time I've ever seen him. Speaker 2 (3:42) Yeah, I think he does the song Ordinary, and they know that one. But besides that, they don't know any of those people. Speaker 8 (3:49) Ray, wait until he gets in his 30s like us and he no longer has metabolism. Speaker 2 (3:54) Well, no, I mean, whatever. Speaker 2 (3:58) So they might know him, but I don't think they know Kenny Chesney. I don't think they know Laney Wilson. What was the Dolly tribute? It was some song she wrote about Dolly years ago. Laney? Yeah. And so she was playing that in the middle of that song. She, boom, smash cut to 925. Speaker 8 (4:20) I Speaker 1 (4:21) just Speaker 8 (4:21) threw a bunch of songs in one. Speaker 2 (4:23) Well, no, no. It was like she was playing. She was like, look, they were saying never meet your heroes. That couldn't have been further from the truth with Dolly. And this is a song I wrote about her and what she meant to me years ago. I wrote this. So I'm going to play it tonight. We love you, Dolly. She starts playing it, and everybody's like going crazy. And then in the middle of it, whoosh, hit that note. Because I was working. I don't know. Speaker 8 (4:47) Got it, because I get notes sometimes. I wasn't there in Vegas. I get notes, and it said Dolly Parton tribute. Yeah, cool. Where was it hidden exactly? I wasn't at the show. Yeah, and Speaker 2 (5:00) then, I mean, I'll be honest. I Speaker 1 (5:02) worked a lot more than I thought I was going to work. Oh, no, you were all over the gram. I mean, for not working, I sure was working. Speaker 1 (5:15) Dude, for you having a free trip Speaker 8 (5:17) out there to party with your friends, man, you were on the gram a lot working. Speaker 2 (5:22) Yeah, Saturday morning, we had dinner reservations, 5 o'clock Saturday night. Saturday morning, I get a text. Hey, Bobby's going to be introducing Stella Lefty at the House of Music at 530. We need you to capture that for socials. Speaker 8 (5:36) You're a paid photographer. Unpaid. Speaker 1 (5:42) They needed you. So. You're the video guy. I went and filmed it, Speaker 2 (5:50) took pictures, sent it, and then they had a professional photographer and video man there that they use those videos. Speaker 1 (5:59) Dude, they were hitting you up with texts like you were a faux-tog. Yeah. So then I hightail it back to dinner, and they were nice enough to save me Speaker 2 (6:07) some Speaker 1 (6:07) stuff, but it's all ice cold because it had been 45, 50 minutes. I'd been gone. Oh, maybe you said it already. I'm a little bit foggy. You had to leave the dinner. Speaker 8 (6:17) Yeah. Speaker 8 (6:24) Nightmare. Nightmare. I know how you love your dinners. Speaker 1 (6:27) Yeah, we were going to Din Tai Fung right there in the Aria. It is so good. Not as good when it's cold. Oh, my. How was Aria? Still a ghost town? It was a ghost Speaker 2 (6:39) town. Speaker 1 (6:40) Let's just start. Speaker 2 (6:41) Yeah, sorry, man. Sorry, Speaker 1 (6:42) man. Let's start the show, and I'll tell you all about it. We're going to do it live from Nashville. Speaker 8 (6:50) We're exactly 69 days away from the Soar Losers Convention. Brought to you by Freeland Chevrolet. I went and met with Richard, got their logo. It's very loud. Sorry, dude. I went and got their logo, as I was saying, from Richard, so we can now put it when we do the live pod on the TVs at the bar. Good. So people won't be able to watch TV. Good. It'll be at the Speaker 1 (7:14) distillery. So we're going to do it live. We are the one, two, three. So are losers. What up Speaker 2 (7:24) everybody? I am lunchbox. I know the most about sports. So I'll give you the sports facts, my sports opinions, Speaker 1 (7:30) because I'm pretty much a sports genius. What's up y'all. It is season keeping it short. Cause we got to get to Vegas over to you. Well done, Speaker 2 (7:40) man. So Here we go. Thursday, we fly out there, and my first Speaker 1 (7:47) thing I always do is the roulette table. Oh, I was going to say take a schlitt. I don't know. Nope. The first, I got to pick a roulette table before I even go to the room. Your wife loves that. My wife was on a different flight because I was on Frontier. The hits keep coming. Speaker 8 (8:12) You guys Speaker 1 (8:13) flew separately. Go. I was on Frontier. So I got there earlier than she did. That wasn't a bit. That was real. Speaker 2 (8:19) I was on Frontier. So I get off the plane and I have like an hour before Thursday night football starts. I'm like, oh my God, Bills are going to blow the Lions out of the house. So I Speaker 1 (8:34) have to hit roulette, get to the sports book. and put a bet in. Aria book? Yep. Know it well. Terrible sports book. It is. It's tucked in the back corner. Speaker 2 (8:46) TVs are Speaker 1 (8:46) all small. Speaker 2 (8:47) It's very cramped. There's not a lot of seating. It's just terrible. So, I go to that roulette table. It's right there on the left-hand side. You're walking down the middle. I know it. Yeah. You can see the Javier's right there. Yes. Speaker 2 (9:05) And I bring out $200. Sheesh. And I put $20 on red 12, $20 on red 18, $20 on red 19, $20 on red 21, $20 on black 17. Then I take $30 on 10, 11, 12. Then I put $20 on 23, 24. Speaker 2 (9:32) Then I take $50 and I put it on 31, 32, 35, 36. Okay. And it rolls like 35. That Speaker 1 (9:55) was one of them, 50. 50. Boom. Is that 700? No, it was like 400. Oh, massive off. So then I'm like, oh man, Speaker 2 (10:04) let me go again. And I just did smaller bets, five on each number and cut the others in half. Red 18. Boom. Boom. Boom. 175. Just you at the table or it's packed? No, there's me and two other guys. Oh. And another guy's buddy walks up and he's like, oh, man, dude, what's up, dude? Glad you made it in. Glad you made it in. So they just got there too. Oh, is IHARP people? No. Hmm. They were talking to each other. Oh, got it. And he's like, who's the other guy? He's like, oh, Jim, dude. You're going to love him, dude. He's so much fun. And he's like, where do you go to college? He's like, I don't know. He's like, so you don't really know him that well, but all right, cool. They're like, oh, man, what time's dinner? We're talking about dinner. I said, oh, where are you guys going to dinner? And they said, oh, we're going to catch. I was like, oh, okay, cool. Catch up. Don't know what that is. Catch up. And we keep playing, keep playing, hitting, missing, hitting, missing. Speaker 2 (11:03) And the table was kind of hot. I never got over the sports book. Oh. And then I had to cash out because I needed to go up to the room. I still had my suitcase with me. So I went up to the room. And that first 15 minutes, I made $2.75. Speaker 8 (11:23) On the roulette table. Yeah, Speaker 2 (11:24) I walked way Speaker 1 (11:25) up $2.75. Speaker 8 (11:26) That's huge. Speaker 1 (11:27) Great start. Yeah, you couldn't ask for better. So then I went to Target. What? Yeah. What casino is that? Oh, the Bullseye, right? Yeah. And I got a humidifier. Smart, actually. Yeah. Speaker 2 (11:43) And got a couple snacks like bananas and stuff just that way when we're on the grab and go or like coming in late night. If there's pizzas not open, you can eat a banana. I don't know. Don't ask me, but I needed a humidifier. But Speaker 8 (11:56) they have one downtown there? Yeah. Okay. Speaker 2 (11:59) It's right across from Park MGM. Well, Speaker 8 (12:02) I'm probably not going for another six months, but thanks. I've been three times in the past two months, dude. I'm veiled out. Speaker 2 (12:09) Yeah, and then I went back to the room. Wife got there. We got dressed, and we went to dinner with the neighbors. Javier's. Of Speaker 8 (12:19) course you did. In Aria. In Aria. You guys keep that place open. No, Speaker 2 (12:25) it is packed all the time. Yeah. It is packed. Had some margaritas, had some chips and salsa, had some enchiladas. And then my neighbor, she had never been to Vegas, so we went over to Cosmo, went to the Chandelier Bar, had some drinks at the Chandelier Bar, and then we went to Planet Hollywood, did some gambling. She didn't really like gambling. Speaker 8 (12:47) What? Speaker 2 (12:48) Yeah. Speaker 8 (12:49) That's going to be a buzzkill. Speaker 2 (12:51) She's like, I'll watch, Speaker 8 (12:52) I'll watch. Oh, no, not that type. Here, I spin a ball in this game. This one, we just Speaker 1 (12:59) flipped two cards. Real fascinating watch. But we sat at Blackjack for about 30 minutes. Speaker 2 (13:08) And, I mean, I won like 50 bucks, nothing major. And then the neighbor dude was like, dude, I want to go throw the dice. I want to go throw the dice. Speaker 8 (13:16) That's my kind of guy. I'm like, all Speaker 1 (13:17) right, let's go. See, I could have rolled with this group. We needed to ditch the chicks. Yeah, we should have. So Speaker 2 (13:22) we go to the craps table, and he stands on the opposite end of me. So we can't even chat. Yeah. So I'm talking to Al from Minnesota right here to my left, and we're talking. Speaker 2 (13:34) I mean, you couldn't have found a more ice cold table in the world. The worst. Dude, I don't think in the 45 minutes I was there, I don't think we hit one point. Speaker 8 (13:46) Really? Not one. Please tell me you didn't lose your 275. Oh, Speaker 2 (13:50) I Speaker 8 (13:50) lost it. Okay. Speaker 2 (13:51) And then some. Speaker 8 (13:52) Okay. Speaker 2 (13:53) Because the neighbor, he wanted to stay, and I was like, man, it's going to turn around. It's going to turn around. I'm like. Speaker 2 (13:59) And this is where Speaker 8 (14:00) it's tough. He wanted to stay at a cold table? Yeah. Hey, no, you guys leave me. Table's ice cold. I'm going to stay. What the? Speaker 8 (14:10) I mean, I've heard it for a hot table. Oh, the colder the better. All right, man, we'll leave you for a couple hours. Always love saddling up with an ice cold table, just cleaning you out. Me and Bazer run from cold slots. I'm like, get your purse, get the hell out. I don't care, leave the mimosa. That thing's ice cold. I'm freezing actually touching it. You're like 45 minutes, man, couldn't hit anything. Neighbor wanted to stay, he was having a blast. What? Speaker 2 (14:45) So, all right, we stay. We bleed money, bleed money. Then it's like 1 a.m., and the other people that were coming from Austin, they hit us up. Hey, where are you? Actually, we're going to go eat at Javier's. We'll text you when we're done. And they get done with Javier's. I'm like, hey, we're at Planet Hollywood. And they go, we're actually going to go to bed. And that's when the women were like, you know, we should go to bed too. Neighbor was like, yeah, we should probably go to bed. And I was like, yeah, 1 o'clock. This table is ice cold. Let's get out of here. That's late. Yeah. And we went to bed. That was it. That was Thursday. Nothing crazy. Speaker 8 (15:19) Ray, we'll put the podcast to bed after this commercial. Speaker 2 (15:23) No. Oh. We won't put it to Speaker 1 (15:25) bed. We'll go to Friday. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. Oh, we're going to go to Friday and Friday it went down. Much as I love hearing about cold tables. Dude. Speaker 8 (15:35) Cold dies. The recording on bubble craps. Warm hands. Cold dies. Freaking stupid lady's voice. I'd never Speaker 2 (15:42) know. Never played it. One's the Speaker 8 (15:43) shooter. One's the shooter. Hot hand. Cold dice. Shut up. Oh, oh, lucky shooter. Hot hands. Cold dice. Shut up. Speaker 8 (15:58) You can turn the audio off. Figure that out after about four hours. Really? Yeah. You just shut her right up. After she goes, oh, it's a nice day. Cold dice. Okay. I get it. And she says it so loud. Everybody around you knows you're losing. Oh, warm hands. Cold dice. Speaker 1 (16:17) Thank you. Yep. That's me. Ice cold dice over here. So. Like when we were at the Cosmo, I wanted to go down Speaker 2 (16:25) and find your slot machines when we were at the Chandelier Bar. Did we take a break? Not yet. Oh. But I forgot the map back in the hotel room, so I didn't have it with me to go find the slot machines. I was like, oh, tomorrow when we come over here, I'm definitely playing those slots. That's Speaker 1 (16:39) what I'm talking about. That's foreshadowing. We'll take a break. We'll be right back. Speaker 7 (16:45) Lisa, we should tell them about our new show. Oh my God, Lexi, we have a new podcast. It's called Don't Lie to Me. I'm Lexi Iwano. We're two best friends, 22 years apart, but so close at heart. And I'm Lisi DiGiulio, the old one, which means we have wildly different references, occasionally different opinions. And at this point in my 50s, I've lived it all. I'm not going to get anywhere fighting. That is wild. I learned that about you today. Now in my 30s, being the founder of New Shoes, good taste is my business. And I've always got something to say. If men were just honest about this, there would be so much more peace in the world. We're going to talk about dating, relationships, beauty, getting older, and a little wiser. We're best friends, but we don't always agree. Because you told us how accommodating you are. Obviously, I would do what I think I could do to fight the fight, but there's only so much fight I can fight. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Liar. Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you
