We may dabble into some Nate Bragazzi at UFC and that drama. You know that drama? No, I mean I know he was there but I don't know the drama. You know drama? It's good. Okay, so we got a big show. Glad everybody's here. As we record this we're recording this on Friday to 26 So you won't see this until a day or so so Amazon Prime days will be over by the time people see this Yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, all of it This year it was four days. This year it was four days This is not a commercial because I'm gonna actually share with you the tactics they use Not to trick us. And this could be used probably in a lot of different places, but because we're in the middle of this. Oh, and it does look so appealing. You log on right now. You don't even need a spatula. Like, I'm no, you're getting nine right now. But today's the perfect day to get one. Number one, the countdown clocks they put on. Oh, yeah. Stresses you out. And it makes us feel a sense of urgency, because we feel like we're going to be missing out if we don't get in the clock and also not only will we're going to out will be not saving money if we don't get in the clock. So we see that and basically it makes us feel like Kiefer Sutherland 24 like the mom's gonna blow up. Because most of the time people when you're shopping for something let me think about it especially if it's a bigger purchase. Put in the cart maybe come back. Yes I'll think about it a little bit talk to my life about it see if we really need this. No you only have a certain amount of time to get this. You got to go. That's number one. Number one. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I'll Because that means limited quality quantity and limited time. So the lightning deals happen and so your brain's basically going all right if I don't buy it now I may never get this price again this is lightning and lightning doesn't strike twice. Not in the same place. So they hit you with that lightning deal. There's a thing they do where they do a percentage the one that I saw was only 8% claimed. Now that is not one that makes you jump but what they do is they show a bar. it can be 93% claimed with only 7% left. So I've never understood what that meant. Well there's only 7% left of the 100%. It'd be the same. Sometimes you'll go and it'll say only 4 left. That's the one that's like, it's clear as day. Especially when there's only one left, I'm not risking this. So it's that tactic. Yeah, they just do a bar. The problem with the bar is, they can be honest. Let's say they're doing a 96% gone, only 4% left. You don't know that that 4% is that many thousands. You're right. You're right. I did get got on an eBay thing where they said only two left and so I jumped and they were telling the truth. They were telling the truth. I don't know if they were telling the truth but it felt like they were telling the truth but it didn't make me buy something on eBay. What did you get? I can't say because I bought it for my wife for our anniversary it's coming up. Okay fair enough. But it was legit. is July 17th and it's the 26th. It's about right time for me to start thinking about a gift maybe a little late. Do you think about anniversary gifts at a time? No my wife and I kind of stopped giving each other anniversary gifts a long time ago. We just do something special for each other that day like we either go out to eat somewhere or we get a babysitter for the kids and we just you know spend time together or we watch our wedding video. stuff like that. That's probably the difference in me five year anniversary. Yeah. And you 20. We just had our 20. That's crazy. Oh my gosh no we're about to be 21 in September. Okay but that's you just had your 20. I know but I feel like now I'm looking forward I'm looking up to my 21st more than I just had my 20. Your anniversary coming up can buy beer. Yes. It's an adult. Like a straight up adult. they doe. Since new deals are appearing every minute it's constant dopamine hits. So there could be deals that they had at 2 p.m. they pulled it back on at 5. Yeah. Mostly for that refresh feeling where that dopamine hits. It's like pulling a lever on a slot machine. Yeah. Like they got you just keep checking for something and if you know those deals are popping up you just keep checking to see what's up there now. What's up there now? Next up, cross selling. I don't you buy this TV, right? Okay. Largely, you buy this TV, great selection. Other people are buying this because they love it. A sound bar? Oh, sound bars are great. And it's Amazon Prime Day, so they're cheaper and 96% are gone. Right, there's only two left. No, there's not. Amount. Streaming device to go with it, warranty. So, not only are they cross selling, but they're cross selling during Prime Day, which makes you feel like if I'm gonna need that stuff anyway that stuff anyway, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, I might as well, because it's in the middle of prime day. Gosh, dude, I fall for that so many times where like I just bought something. Like I just bought a, like I bought a, what do you call it? A stainless steel skillet? Well, now I need to cover for it. Like now I need to buy the cover. They don't sell that together. You got to buy them separately. I don't know anything about skilts. Do you really need to cover? I mean it is for certain things that you want to cover? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, just to cover it. Yeah, a handle on the handle on top of it. like a rubber cover or something. Or like a hat box. Okay that's another one though. If you're at the airport your skillet box doesn't get damaged. Yeah. No, no, another one that happens all the time like when I bought my blackstone or my smoker the grills whatever you have to buy a cover if you're gonna keep it outside and that one's a real cover. Does it come with it? A rain cover? No, doesn't come with it doesn't come with it. It should it should it's like the, all the utensils like, a rain like, a rain like, a rain. Now this is where they kind of get you is $2.49.99. Now, this is $2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.2. Now But because you're comparing it to 399, you're going, what a deal? Sneaky. Where it's still a bit of a deal, 20 bucks. Sure. But versus the 150 and what they're showing you? Which by the way, they're telling the truth. Kind of. That was the list price. It was an older price. Okay. Frequently bought together. You ever get those? Yes. And you know what? Most of the time, they're right. to buy those together. It does make the accessories feel mandatory. Free shipping. So Prime members, because I am one, they already have the shipping included. So it'll say already included, which makes you feel like you're saving money which you can then spend on something else like some accessories. But you've already paid for that shipping by being a member. What gets you in general to is the one click checkout and that's not even Prime Day. Oh that's just in general. Yes. Now. Eventually it's going to be you just think it. And then it's purchased. Yeah. I got a couple more personalized recommendations because they know what you searched, what you bought, what you almost bought, what similar people bought. Or they just are knowing what you're looking at and going, okay, we kind of got this, got figured out. I think they're doing this cross-aps, right? cross-platform. Like if you search something in Google? They got you. But also if you're looking for something within it, it knows. Yes. The other couple ones here are people bought this today. So you feel like you're part of the end group? That one never gets me. Who cares when people are buying? What about the ratings when they show you the rating? That's a big part of my purchase. You want to see the ratings and you want to see the reviews? You know? Like what do you need? Do you need a four? 4 out of 4? You? 4, 4? You? read about what they're complaining about. I need to read about like are they saying that it didn't last very long? The quality was bad. Like the size? That's a big one for me. I just feel like every review is now a bot that's putting up good reviews. I know. And I feel like if there's so many they know not to make them five because we won't believe it so they got to make it like 4-8. Yes. So those are the tactics. I don't. I don't want to say tricks because I don't think there's anything that's I have a problem with it just because and maybe it's just business in general is there ever any business where like it just is what it is or are they always trying to trick you? Well like the $299 it's really $300 but it's gonna make it $2.99 to make you think that it's more closer to the $200 amount than it is the $300 amount I think there are a couple things I think in capitalism you're trying to get the most for the least just in general right I mean sea walls. We would go on a flat bottom boat. We'd go down the lake, if it's a lake or the river. We'd go to people's houses if they had messed up sea walls or any damage at all. Knock on the door. Hey, we're here. We build sea walls. We love to put a bid. And so it's people putting bids in against each other. And you don't put in the bid for what it actually call. I mean, everything's as high as you can get it. great businessman but he was a liar. But is he lying? Yes. I mean if you're straight lying that's different. But we would put bids in that were higher than probably what they needed to be, but the person still had to accept it. Yeah. So, man, at one time this carpet, we needed carpet, right, for our house, new carpet. And the carpet salesman came out. And he said, he brought out all the samples of the carpet that we needed. And then we said, we want this one, how much for this one, he do it that high? Can you do it for whatever, $500 cheaper? Oh, let me call my boss. Hey Tom, yeah I got my client here and I saw on his phone, it looked like this. There was no one on the phone. I know 100% he wasn't talking to Tom. There was no boss, nothing and he goes, oh yeah, you think we should give him that deal? Oh, all right, I'll do it if you say so. Yeah, my boss, that's cool, we'll do it. It's like you like when you buy a car when they go back to the office too. They're just walking back. What's up? You good. Getting chips? Yeah. Okay, and they go back. Yeah. He's gonna give you the mats, but we can't go much lower than $500. And then you feel like you won. You're like, wow, we got the mats. Fine line though, between deception and business. Hmm. Okay, that's number one. Number two. Have you guys guys seen this story? No. It is something though when you think of Michael Jackson and things that he would do? Because he was extremely rich or at least thought he was. What do you mean? He wasn't? Depending on what stories you read? Because there was... Really? I don't know if you ever saw. I think it was like a 20-20 or a nightline where he was with the reporter and they were walking through this crazy, expensive antique store. They're in like Paris. I'll just pointing at stuff. I'll take that. I'll take that. I want that. I want that. eggs. Yeah. So he obviously had a lot of money and a lot of it too he may have just been you know buying some on credit but you know he bought the Beatles catalog. He sure did. And so he had a lot of money how much did he have when he died? Who knows? But he probably had enough money or enough credit to figure out if he could clone himself. Do you think he cloned himself? Well I was just thinking about being cloned in general as a human. I think having a clone would be amazing if you could be alive was alive. I have no interest in me cloning myself for if I die because I'm still dead. Yeah you're not going to know anything about it. And now some other thing that's me's getting to live the spoil, that's not me. Mm-hmm. So... And he's probably going to be nothing like you, right? Because like what's his brain? Okay, so I had a vet in Dr. Josie, we were talking about this where animals get cloned all the time. She has been a part of dogs that have been cloned where she's had dogs that have been cloned, my dog and she's like I don't do that but these are other people that have done it here's how here's go to them it's $50,000. Wow they clone your dog gosh and you can have the same like DNA of the dog but we or animals were created but then we live learn and survive by our environment yes and our experiences and that's such a massive part of who we are as people how we act towards things and those dogs, maybe the original dog, was a small dog that got attacked when it was one and now it's completely scared of other big dogs and acts a certain way. The new dog may not do that. So it's not going to be exactly the same because they didn't live with the same circumstances or environment. And I get that, but does it start with the same personality? Because like everyone has... But the personalities develop through environment and experiences. Really? That's interesting. I say we had the same upbringing but our personalities are so different you know and like even my kids my boys the same upbringing but personality is so different the way they do things the way they think about things so different they could also have different friends right influences different also their brains are going to be a bit different so they're gonna read yeah I'm like I'm not a doctor I am a doctor but not in that you are a doctor but the horses get the horses get cloned all the time I know But they don't care about what they're thinking. They just want them to perform, right? Yeah, they want to run. Yeah. They don't care of the horse is funny or the horse is argumentative. So you can clone animals. I know for sure, except I don't really know, but I would bet all my money that there are cloned humans. Because if you're able to clone animals and you don't think in some lab in Russia or China or here in America. I used to think it was just China and Russia doing all the bad stuff, mostly because it's the rocky movies. I like China and Russia bad. They're all bad they're cheating. Equal crazy stuff going on. We're trying to win the science war. And they don't tell us. No. We have no idea what's going on. I would almost guarantee you there are cloned humans out there. Oh my gosh, dude, that's crazy. Or cloned humans they've created and then killed to see if they could create a human.
