Because you're not invisible, you're unexpressed. So grab your favorite drink, settle in, and let's explore the art of becoming visible together. Speaker 1 (1:53) Welcome back, my friends. I hope you are enjoying this new fall weather. So fall is here, depending on what part of the world you're in, your weather may or may not have changed. We're here in North Carolina, and we've certainly seen the leaves starting to change, and we felt the temperatures dip, at least a little bit. And as I head to Paris in the next few days, it is definitely going to start feeling cooler, and I am so looking forward to all the layers. In fact, I got in my closet today. And one thing I've realized is that when I first feel that change in weather and it's time to really start shifting what I wear, I love bringing out my clothes for the season. It brings me so much joy. And I feel like the older I get, I'm like a little kid, like, ooh, I get to look at my sweaters. play with the layers. And it just brought me so much joy to see the colors and the textures and just remember, oh yeah, I love this dress. But there's also something that has shifted for me that has given me a new filter, I guess. I have recently changed my hair. Speaker 1 (3:00) And it's kind of a drastic change, but at the same time, it's been a change I've been kind of working on for the past, I don't know, three or four years. And you, if you come on over to Instagram and follow me at Mary Michelle Official, you'll see pictures. And you'll see what I've done or everyone's sub stack. So come join me over on sub stack at the art of becoming visible. And you'll see what I mean, because what I have done, I basically went platinum and I flirted with gray hair. I flirted with growing out my gray and I actually have been enjoying what my hair is transitioned into. And so I'll give you a little backstory. Back in March, I had. my last branding photo shoot and I remember right before that shoot I had my hair colored brown brown. And I loved it. It was great. But when I looked at this pictures, I thought, you know what, it's too dark. And honestly, I had not done anything with color since March. I let my hair just kind of grow out. And what happened is that my hair has gotten very resistant to color. So the brown faded and my roots. grew my hair grows very fast and as it grew out it started to have this sort of iridescent feel this sort of ombre feel and i really enjoyed it and i wore my hair pulled back a lot over the summer which was great Speaker 1 (4:27) but now that we're stepping back into fall, now that I'm getting ready to go to Paris, I'm doing another photo shoot. I knew it was time to just, I'm reluctant to say bite the bullet, but I'm going to say bite the bullet and dive into gray headfirst. So I have done that and I love it. And you know, what's so cool is when I looked at my clothes today, and got in my closet, I could see all these fresh possibilities. It was like walking into a new clothing store and all these new things popped out, except these were pieces I already own. And things just look different. They felt different. And I'm going to have so much fun trying things on in new and different ways. So I would encourage you, if you've been thinking about changing your hair, changing your makeup, doing something different, do it. Do it because the energy that that brings forth is so amazing, so invigorating, so inspiring. It helps us to feel alive. Instead of having the same old, same old, it's nice to change it up. It gives us a fresh perspective and can help us to see ourselves in a new and different light. And it's a wonderful way to enter the new season with a new look and a new you, which I'm reluctant to say a new you because today we're talking about how to reinvent your wardrobe without reinventing your style, without reinventing yourself. So I really want to talk to you about style today. We're going to talk about getting back to your style and seeing yourself in a whole new way
