Speaker 1 (0:17) Guess what? Guess what? Guess what? Guess what? I am so excited to talk to you because I have a story to share with you. So as you know, what do we say when everything is lining up and things are just happening that cannot be explained and we don't believe in coincidences? The portal is open. The portal is open. And it turns out the week that we're recording this, the portal is open because there was an eclipse in... Leo or something like that. I don't know. I saw it on Instagram and I said, I believe you. Speaker 2 (0:52) Yeah. If Instagram says it. If an astrologer on Instagram says Speaker 1 (0:57) it, I comment eclipse and buy a workbook that I'll never open. Speaker 2 (1:02) Wait, did you do that? Yeah, of course. Okay. I bought a reading the other day by commenting reading. And they were like, hey girl, here's your reading. I was like, $19. Great, great, great, great, great, great, great. Okay. So what, okay. The portal is open. We're both buying shit. That is, we're both buying some Boss Babes e-course. Awesome. Okay. We are both susceptible. We are both former Speaker 1 (1:25) marketers who can be marketed to. Yeah. Speaker 2 (1:29) I know the secrets and thus I, when I see a secret, I say, hey, you're familiar and I know you. Speaker 1 (1:34) I know you. I believe you. Speaker 2 (1:37) As a savvy Speaker 1 (1:38) person, I believe you. And I believe in me. And I'm going to comment. And look, I've just really loved astrology in the sense that I don't understand it and I couldn't explain it to anyone. But when I feel it, I feel it. And trust me, I felt it this week. So I love that for you. Sophie comes down from school. She comes down on like, you know. Wednesday, she's got to do like, you know, a CPR class. I bought her several things on Facebook Marketplace that need to be picked up, that need to be transported. Such a good mom. Yeah. Truly. I was like, oh, you need a rug? We're getting a rug. Oh, you need a dresser? I'm getting a dresser. I have all of those things. I will. I will be wheeling and dealing with women named Judy. Judy, always. People of indeterminate names where you're like, who knows what's going to happen? Who knows what's going to happen, but we'll get nothing. That's right. Sure, sure. So she comes down, you know, she's doing her thing. Friday, she has to leave. And she's like, we have to go pick up this dresser. And I said, yeah, you know, between the two of us, like, we're going to need somebody else to pick it up because you're five feet tall. Speaker 2 (2:51) Yeah. You're a small person. You're a person of small experience. Speaker 1 (2:54) You're a person of small stature. You're petite. You're petite. And Judy, who I bought this dresser from, I prepaid it. I said, don't sell this dresser. I can't pick it up for a week. I was in Vegas, baby. I said, keep it for me. I'll pay now. She said, no problem. But she said, when you pick it up, my son can't help you. He has a bad back. Bring a man. I said, Judy, I am the size of a man. Judy, Speaker 2 (3:17) I am a man. Judy. Speaker 2 (3:21) In the words of Cher. Yeah, I am a rich man. Judy, you're a fucking useless son. Okay? With this bad back. Okay. Yeah. Don't worry. Speaker 1 (3:30) Yeah, don't worry. I'm going to do it. So, but it's a second story. I find out it's in a second story apartment. I say, okay, I'm going to heed Judy's warning. I'm asking various men. They can't do it. So I say to Sophie, can your boyfriend, who is a new boyfriend, who I've never met, will he do this? Speaker 2 (3:50) Sure. And guess what? That's called a test. That's called a test. Speaker 1 (3:54) That's called a test. Your mother is asking the boy who asked you to be his girlfriend for a favor that will benefit you. And the first time they Speaker 2 (4:03) meet, he will be doing this favor. He Speaker 1 (4:06) will be doing me a favor. He'll be doing you a favor. And will he do it with a happy heart? Will he do it the right way? Let's find out. He says yes, of course. He walks in our house. He is like, just like, I don't know how to describe him other than like affable, you know? Like he's just like, it's like the kind of when you meet him, if he's happy, you're like, should I be happy? Speaker 2 (4:28) You know, you're like, I think I am happy because I think I am Speaker 1 (4:31) happy. I think I'm happy because he's happy. He has one of those smiles. And I go like, God, you look like, you know, like my cousin. He looks like my cousin, Jack, who I call Baby Jack. But Jack's like 28 now. So he's no longer Baby Jack. He's married. Now, Sophie did meet this guy picking her brother up from camp. Speaker 2 (4:51) Like 13 days ago. Speaker 1 (4:52) 13 days ago. I know. She met this guy. I said, can you go pick your brother up from camp? She came back with a phone number, O to be 20, and have great boobs. Like, good for her. These were, like, Speaker 2 (5:05) the dreams that I had. And never once did it happen to me. I remember going to family day at my brother's camp and being like, I'm going to meet some, like, hot counselor. Speaker 1 (5:16) Yeah. Speaker 2 (5:16) And it was musical theater camp. Let me tell you. They were not looking at me. Okay. And they were not interested. And the portal sort of was open because the hot counselor in question. is actually one half of white girl problems, of babe, of Laura's, like, first... Wow. Very gay, obviously. But I remember I was listening to Constantine by something corporate, and I was like, this man will be my husband. And it's like, no, this man is getting his own husband, okay? And they'll see you later, okay? Speaker 1 (5:49) This man is actually your looking for husband. Speaker 2 (5:51) Sophie living the dream of all older sisters everywhere going to, like, see their brothers at camp. So, like, proud of her. Speaker 1 (5:59) Love that. I was always ready to meet someone who would fall in love with me, a stranger. It never happened. But I will say that it happens with her quite often. And so, you know, and she knows this. Like, when she's like, I have a boyfriend, I go, okay. You know. Yeah, of course you do. Of course you do. Right. Of course you do. Right. Of course you do. So this guy comes over. I'm like, you know. with me. You do. You start out at 100 and then we go down with men. I would say you start at zero. We work ourselves up. So he went zero, 100. We're up here because he's going to help us move this thing. Speaker 2 (6:38) Yeah. We Speaker 1 (6:39) get to the place. It does feel like we were this man was luring us to murder us. Like, you know, there's something about the apartment smells weird, has a bad vibe. Oh, Judy's son. Judy's son. The TV is smashed. I Speaker 2 (6:52) was like, your Speaker 1 (6:52) boyfriend's Speaker 2 (6:52) going to murder you. I don't know that we. Right. Okay. Judy's son has a luring drive. Speaker 1 (6:57) Judy's son with Speaker 2 (6:58) a Speaker 1 (6:58) bad back. All of a sudden, when I'm there with, you know, this giant guy, his back's not bad and he can help carry it out. Interesting. All I'm going to say is interesting. All I'm going to say is interesting. Speaker 2 (7:07) Right. But Speaker 1 (7:08) we get it out. He gets it into the car. Like, you know, I don't know. I'm like, great. This is wonderful. We drove separate cars. I wasn't sure whose car it would fit in. And we get to talking and Sophie goes, well, we're probably going to go to brunch or something. And I say, OK, good for you. She's like, well, he actually used to work at this restaurant. And they have a lot of gluten-free options. And I say, oh, what's Speaker 2 (7:33) it Speaker 1 (7:33) called? And you're gluten-free. I'm gluten-free. I'm gluten-free. And he describes it and I go, uh, that doesn't sound very good. And then he tells me the name and I go, wait. I think I've been there. And I described the restaurant. He goes, yeah, yeah, that's that's the one. That's the one. And I go, I went there before I chaperoned prom. Speaker 2 (7:54) Sophie's prom. Speaker 1 (7:55) Not Sophie's prom. I just chaperoned a prom that my friend teaches at this high school this past summer. Okay, sorry. Let me say it. I say I ate there this May. I ate there this May right before I chaperoned prom for the high school that my friend teaches at. I was her date. I wore a great suit. She looked amazing. We went out to dinner beforehand. I was like, we had an amazing dinner. And I go. you to Sophie's boyfriend. You were my waiter. No. He was my waiter. It's all coming back to Speaker 2 (8:30) me. How would you remember that? Were you trying to place him? Speaker 1 (8:34) Because. Speaker 1 (8:37) Because he reminded you of your cousin. Because he reminded me of my cousin. And you know, one thing you and I do is we get to talking. Like we get to talking. You got to Speaker 2 (8:47) have a chat. You got it. It's Speaker 1 (8:48) like Speaker 2 (8:48) I got, Speaker 1 (8:48) you know. Who Speaker 2 (8:49) is this person if not my friend? Speaker 1 (8:52) It's yes. I have to know, like, what are you majoring in? Where are you going to school? Like all these things. And I remember telling him, like, you remind me so much of my cousin. It's such a compliment. Blah, blah, blah. We had gotten like a prefix. We didn't have time. I was like, I'm so sorry. We have to go. And he goes, oh, that's right. You know, I didn't know if like it was a is a date night. Speaker 2 (9:12) I Speaker 1 (9:13) was like, it is. Yeah, we have to go to prom. We're going to prom. I'm 16. He was so affable. Yeah. Speaker 2 (9:19) Affable then, affable now. Affable then. Speaker 1 (9:22) You know, I was like, oh, I love this guy. I gave him like, you know, what's my favorite thing to do? Tip big. Tip big. I want to give you a jaw-dropping tip. I did that. That felt good. I Speaker 2 (9:30) love that. And he probably Speaker 1 (9:32) remembers you now. And I think you remember this. Because I had the time of my life that night. You know, I loved chaperoning. Yeah, you had a great time at Speaker 2 (9:39) prom. Yeah. Like, Speaker 1 (9:40) and. You know, this was when I was trying hard not to be a toxic mom. And I was about to do what? Give him your daughter's phone number. That's right. And you didn't do it. Speaker 2 (9:58) I Speaker 1 (9:58) didn't do it. I Speaker 2 (9:59) have such a pretty daughter at home. I have such a pretty daughter. No, you would love her. She's so cute. Big tits. Speaker 1 (10:05) You don't have to put that in there. Like,
