Speaker 2 (0:00) Thank you. Speaker 2 (0:04) Shameless Media. Speaker 3 (0:06) This episode of Stylish is brought to you by Adore Beauty. DM them with your beauty SOS and one of their experts will solve it for you. Speaker 3 (0:18) This is Stylish, the podcast for all things fashion, lifestyle, brand and beauty. You are joined by my lovely co-host, Anika Joshi-Smith, Joanna Fleming. I'm Speaker 1 (0:29) here. Speaker 3 (0:29) I was meant to be Speaker 1 (0:30) here last week and I could not string more than like a few words together without having a coughing fit. My bad. I can't. Speaker 2 (0:37) I'm so excited. Sorry, I'm talking right over the top of you. We are here. Hello, hello, hello, hello. Speaker 3 (0:42) I'm Madison Sullivan Thorpe, just in case you're wondering who was in there. Speaker 1 (0:47) We've got the sillies today. Mads is going to Olivia Dean and she's very excited about a flight to New York later in the week as well. So she is on one this morning. I walked in and she is, I don't know what's going on. Speaker 3 (0:57) I am Speaker 1 (0:58) so excited, but also I've been up since Speaker 3 (1:00) 5.30. Yeah, her one oat latte that she's allowed to have per week is really hitting hard this morning. Okay, I have like fun in my... life that makes me sound like a snore. I Speaker 2 (1:08) think you need to get on the creatine. Speaker 3 (1:10) I need to have more campaigns going live because I've been working at Homey for like three months now I think. And you're killing it sweetie. Speaker 1 (1:17) I don't really talk Speaker 3 (1:17) about work I talk about it like little protective Speaker 1 (1:19) species. Speaker 3 (1:19) It's already been three months wow. I know it feels like three years in like the best possible way. But we've just had like a massive campaign go live. And you know when like everyone works on something and everyone's like got all the nervous energy to like have it out in the world and be like, you've seen it like 400 times and you're like, do we still love it? Of course we still love it. But it's like now I just need other people to love it. So I've like, I couldn't sleep. It felt like Christmas morning. Speaker 2 (1:40) I love that dopamine hit. Look at her go. Speaking of dopamine hits. Did everybody see the Speaker 1 (1:47) squealing pig stunt over the weekend, which I thought was true. So as soon as I saw it, I was like, that graffiti is too neat. No, stunning handwriting. Hey, Speaker 3 (1:55) I've got beautiful handwriting. Speaker 1 (1:56) Yeah, but I think you'd have to have a lot of practice on a spray can to get it that neat. I was kind of waiting for it to hit TikTok so that I would find out what it was. So if you didn't see this over the weekend, Sunday morning, we woke up to visuals on socials of, I think it was a grey coloured Audi parked on Domain Road in South Yarra across the road from the Gilson, which is an extremely popular cafe for people to get coffee at before they walk the tan. And on the side of it in big spray painting was pig. And then I think on the back, I think it said like, how could you or something like that. Oh, I didn't see the back. I just saw the Speaker 3 (2:34) pig with the X on the top. The Speaker 1 (2:36) pig got me. I mean, the pig was enough. There was also a suitcase that was like kind of ripped open and torn apart. And so there were all this like clothes on Speaker 3 (2:44) the Speaker 1 (2:44) front. Speaker 3 (2:45) And I feel like the cultural significance of Domain Road is that it's kind of like a hot spot for people to go and do a hot lap on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Speaker 1 (2:52) I would say it's one of the most popular places to be on a Sunday morning if you live in inner Melbourne. Definitely. Speaker 3 (2:58) It's so iconic. What I loved about this and why I thought it was so clever as well was that they did it on a Sunday morning. Because I don't think I'm saying anything crazy to say, like, if anyone's found out something bad, it's usually on a Sunday morning. Speaker 2 (3:09) Totally. So, like, Speaker 3 (3:09) it is kind of believable that she's found this out late on a Saturday night or first thing on a Sunday morning and gone Speaker 2 (3:14) and spray painted a pig on a car. We're just loving this. We think it was so iconic. Iconic location. Iconic marketing campaign. hopefully an iconic product. There's just something about unhinged behavior that like, eat it up. Like I'm sitting here and I'm like, tell me more. How did that happen? What did he do, sweetie? What did he do? Like I needed to know. And I was just like, I want this to be so true. But then I did a deep dive on Squealing Pink's Instagrams and socials and the captions, very clever. They have been teasing and leaving breadcrumbs for all of us for quite some time for their new Squealini. Speaker 3 (3:49) You love that one, do you? Speaker 2 (3:51) Oh, that's so much Squirrlini. Speaker 3 (3:53) Are we going to get a Squirrlini after this? I hope so. It's like 8 Speaker 1 (3:57) .30am, but off we try. Speaker 3 (3:58) Illegal. Speaker 1 (3:59) And so the whole campaign is about them breaking up with sugar. So I'm assuming this is for a sugar-free range. It is. I tell you what. Bloody genius. It's genius. To have that as Speaker 3 (4:10) a breakup with sugar. I love this. Like, I wish that I was on to Main Road because I probably would have snapped a photo of it and said things I should have done. Yes. Put that on Speaker 1 (4:19) the list. That was a full belly cackle. Oh my God, I wish you had done that. We Speaker 2 (4:24) weren't even friends Speaker 1 (4:24) at Speaker 2 (4:25) the time, but I would have found you and I would have DM'd you and been right Speaker 1 (4:27) by your side. I Speaker 3 (4:28) reckon we would have had a wine. We probably would have become friends. Maybe Speaker 1 (4:31) even a squalini. A squalini. Speaker 3 (4:34) So Speaker 1 (4:34) Mads, Speaker 3 (4:34) what are we talking about today? Today we are pulling apart the John Galliano and Zara collection. I feel like John's been having a lot of airtime on this podcast, but then we're talking all things Paris Fashion Week, but that's right after a word from today's sponsor. Speaker 3 (4:50) How come my eyeshadow always smudges off? Why is my moisturizer suddenly breaking me out? And how do I properly apply false lashes? We've all been there. Speaker 3 (5:58) The John Galliano Zara collection is here, and it's safe to say that people have a lot of thoughts about this. I feel like John Galliano has been in our conversations, but more broadly the news in general, a lot in 2026. And this line from Zara was actually announced in March of this year. We covered it originally on the podcast. And then more recently we covered the Met Gala announcement, which was that John Galliano was going to be the exhibition of the 2027 Met, which... You're probably thinking, does that mean Met Gala or does that mean the exhibition? Well, posquenos lostos. Speaker 2 (6:30) It means Speaker 3 (6:30) both. Speaker 2 (6:31) Well, Speaker 3 (6:32) not so much now because about a month on from that announcement, John Galliano dropped out of the Met Gala due to mounting pressure from what we speculate to be donors,
