Hello and welcome to just one question from Insights at The Edge. I'm Chris Rock and I'm Mallory Corpin. We're producers at the Sounds True Podcast Network. We work with Tammy on Insights at the Edge to bring you transformational ideas from wisdom teachers around the world. And every week on this show we pull out some of the most inspiring most transformational ideas from those hundreds of conversations and we bring them to you in the form of one question and one answer. Thus the name, just one question. We hope you enjoy. This week we're featuring a segment from a personal favorite episode of mine. It's with Rain Wilson, who is an Emmy nominated actor, writer, producer, and he's famous for... Aye was Dwight Shrute from the office. He's an icon. Yes, I personally was more of a Parks and Rec girl, but... Yeah, don't listen, Rain. In the last few years, Rain has actually publicly delved into his spiritual side with his book Soul Boom and his podcast by the same name. from standing for a spiritual revolution and in it Tammy and Ray and talk about a bunch of things but one section I wanted to highlight was one where they explore a pretty vulnerable question which is where Tammy asks Rain why are you not an atheist and Rain's answer is refreshingly honest and very poetic. Nice. Stay with us for just one question with Rain Wilson. that has a shared ethos with sounds true. One of the most exciting segments and there were a lot of exciting segments for me and reading Soul Boom, but one of the most exciting segments was when you wrote about why I'm not an atheist and this was exciting to me because I've had a lot of exciting segments for me and reading Soul Boom, but one of the most exciting segments was when you wrote about why I'm not an atheist and this was exciting to me because I've had a lot of conversations with people and I've tried to explain, I tried to function almost like a translator to explain my love of a creative force and how it appears inside me. And I often notice I just end up being like, I don't know, I'm serving an evolutionary force of some kind. I don't know if I can explain it, but I'm in service to it. That's what feels the most true to me.
