Speaker 1 (0:04) One day, a little boy named Benjamin was helping his dad do some work in the yard. Now, they had done some gardening and they'd pulled out some weeds, and now they were getting ready to do some pruning of some plants. But the branches were a little bit too high. Uh, Benjamin, said his dad, can you go grab the ladder out the shed? Sure, said Benjamin. Uh, I can do that. And so he went over towards the shed. As he got close though, he could hear some noises inside. Bang! Crash! Boom! Oh, I think it's this way. Is it this one? I don't... What is that? thought Benjamin as he raced towards the shed. When he opened the door, there was a panda inside. Hey, how you doing? Who are you? said Benjamin. My name's Panda Pete. And I've been looking for... Oh, here it is. That's our ladder. No, that's not your ladder. That's my ladder, said Panda Pete. Well, no, it's... Oh, hang on. No, that isn't our ladder. It looks a bit different. Yes, of course it looks different because it's my ladder. Well, mine to borrow for the moment, said Panda Pete. What do you mean, said Benjamin? Well, have a look at the ladder. What seems different? Benjamin looked at the ladder and all of a sudden he realized, where's the top of the ladder? Exactly, said Panda Pete. What do you mean exactly, said Benjamin? Well, this is a very special ladder and it does very special things because you never know where you might end up up the top. Speaker 1 (1:31) Um, end up up the top, said Benjamin. Yes, it's special. You should definitely come for an adventure with me up my ladder. Well, you're just going to climb up and touch the roof of the shed, aren't you? No, no, no, no, no, no. That is not how this one works at all. But you should definitely come. Hang on, said Benjamin. He went back outside. Um, Dad, there's a panda in our shed. Is it Panda Pete, said his dad. How did you know it was Panda Pete? Oh, he said he was going to use his special ladder in our shed and maybe you could go on an adventure with him. Did you want to go? I guess so, said Benjamin. Panda Pete stuck his head out of the shed. Hooray, he said. All right, Benjamin, it's time for us to go up the ladder. Okay, said Benjamin. Can you go first? Okay, said Panda Pete. So Panda Pete began to climb the ladder. And as he got to the top of the ladder, First of all, his head disappeared. Ah, said Benjamin, where's your head? Panda Pete came back down. It's right here, said Panda Pete. His head reappeared. Ah, you just gotta follow me. Trust me, it'll be fun, said Panda Pete. And this time, Panda Pete climbed up the ladder so quick that he completely disappeared. Benjamin stood a little bit confused until a hand came back down from the top of the ladder, waving him towards it. Ah, okay, said Benjamin. And so he began to climb the ladder as well. And when he approached the top, his head seemed to go through some kind of strange shimmery portal. And he looked around. Where am I, said Benjamin. Keep coming, said Panda Pete. You'll need the rest of your body as well. Okay, said Benjamin, looking down, realising that only his head was currently visible. Oh, this is weird. He kept climbing until his whole body appeared in the strange new place. Panda Pete, where are we? Well, didn't you read the warning label on the ladder? No, said Benjamin. Well, go have a look. Go have a read. Quick, go read it. Well, how, said Benjamin. Where's the ladder? Just look for the rainbow puddle and stick your head down. Okay, said Benjamin. So he looked around just where he'd come up and realised that next to him was now a rainbow-looking puddle. He put his finger in first
