Speaker 5 (0:00) Hello, you're listening to Shag Mountain Oil, please keep me anonymous. This week we're joined by three of my favourite brothers in the world. We've got Ryan, Scott and Adam, also known as the Thomas Brothers. Speaker 4 (0:10) Love them, absolutely love them. We had Ryan and Adam on our TV show back in the day, but we had all three of them in the room today. In Speaker 2 (0:17) the Speaker 4 (0:17) flesh. In the flesh! Even though Scott was late. I'll mention that through gritted teeth because he was. Tardy Tardy. They're on talking about their podcast At Home with the Thomas Brothers. I mean, they are three hilarious lads. We always have a right laugh with them. I can only imagine how funny their podcast is. It's a weekly podcast. It brings listeners into the heart of the Thomas family for unfiltered conversations, hilarious brotherly banter and stories that they don't usually get to hear. And if you absolutely love them and you want even more... You can get exclusive content and early access by becoming a Bromie on their subscription service for the podcast. So check that out and enjoy the episode. It was alright, laugh. Yeah. We Speaker 5 (0:55) had a fight about the jingle. Jingle. We couldn't settle on a jingle. Jingle. So this is the jingle. Jingle. We hope you like the jingle. Jingle. Babadoo babadoo babadoo bap. Jingle. Speaker 4 (1:14) Oh, dear, these northerners. I don't Speaker 5 (1:17) know Speaker 4 (1:17) if he does spend half his time down south. So we've Speaker 5 (1:19) only got two Thomas brothers. Yes. Scott's journaling. Speaker 2 (1:23) Scott, he's, yeah. Speaker 5 (1:24) He's Speaker 2 (1:24) journaling. Speaker 5 (1:25) Again. Speaker 4 (1:26) He's going to die. To explain to everyone watching or listening, we've obviously got the Thomas brothers on, and Scott is the only one without children, and Rosie's very upset that someone without children dares to be late for anything, because it's obviously the only burden in your life is your children. Speaker 5 (1:43) Oh, yes. And you, obviously. Speaker 4 (1:45) You actually Speaker 5 (1:47) caused us to be later than the kids ever do. Speaker 4 (1:50) Yeah, I do, yeah. But you blame it on the kids, right? You can't rush perfection. I remember years ago, when we only had one kid, I remember we were about to leave the house. I've said it before on the podcast, but we were about to leave the house for a day trip somewhere, and I said to Rosie, actually, I'm desperate for a shit. I need to go to the toilet. And she went, ugh, can you not just go later? And I was like, no. You need Speaker 2 (2:11) to Speaker 4 (2:11) appreciate you need to Speaker 5 (2:12) shit. Speaker 4 (2:12) That's Speaker 2 (2:12) how Speaker 4 (2:12) shits work. I've got to go now. Speaker 5 (2:15) Ask any woman. And I'd hate to turn this into a gender thing. Ask any woman, ask your wives when you get home, if they were leaving, they were going to be late for somewhere and they had the kids and they needed to shit, they would just wait. That's Speaker 2 (2:27) your homework, Speaker 3 (2:27) lads. Go on, ask your wife. That's the first thing that I'll do when I get home tonight. You've never seen your wife have a shit? No. That's Speaker 2 (2:35) a Speaker 3 (2:35) very good point, actually. I've never seen my Speaker 2 (2:37) wife have a shit. I don't Speaker 5 (2:39) know if you've seen me. Speaker 2 (2:40) Not from above. No. My wife actually came into my room last night huffing and puffing. I was like, what's up with you? She went, you've just pissed all over the seat and I've just sat in it. And I was like, I'm sorry, darling. Normal, right? Speaker 5 (2:54) Normal. Speaker 2 (2:55) That's Speaker 5 (2:55) horrific. I Speaker 2 (2:56) mean, I don't know Speaker 5 (2:57) what to do. Why the seat? Speaker 3 (2:58) I know, I can't help it. Do you know what I do? I go, it was Roman. Blame Speaker 2 (3:02) it on the kids. Yeah. Yeah, she's not happy. Speaker 4 (3:05) She's not happy. So you should never, you should never be in the toilet in front of you? Speaker 2 (3:08) No. I was going to say, she has been to the toilet. Yeah. But I've just never seen her actually sat on the toilet having a poo. Right. I mean, we've talked about this. I Speaker 5 (3:15) actually don't think we have. You're taking the piss. What? Are you actually Speaker 4 (3:18) kidding? You've never seen me. I've never seen you. Speaker 5 (3:20) No, because... Because... Right. Go on. No, because... Right, okay. I don't want to just talk about shit all day, right? But as a woman... I'll change a Speaker 4 (3:29) habit of a lifetime. As Speaker 5 (3:32) a woman, we sit down for the loo anyway. And sometimes, you guys don't sit down all the time. So when you sit down, that's when everything starts to move. So I'll say to you, I'll leave the door open or whatever if you're getting ready and I'll just have a wee. But then... Speaker 4 (3:46) I get a look. She'll go like that. She'll sit and she goes, it's just a wee, it's just a wee. And then she looks at us. And then you shut the door. I shut the door. Yeah, because I don't, Speaker 5 (3:54) listen, I think some things have got to be, I don't Speaker 2 (3:57) want Speaker 5 (3:57) you to watch this. No, Speaker 2 (3:58) I get that. But I did try the sitting down and weeing. Speaker 5 (4:00) Oh, yeah. Speaker 2 (4:01) Because I wanted to help her out because I don't know what it is. I feel like my aim isn't the best aim in the world. I always do tend to piss on the seat. So I thought, right, I'm going to sit down and have a wee instead. I know a lot of men who do it. Speaker 4 (4:11) Tom Fletcher. Tom Speaker 2 (4:12) Fletcher is Speaker 4 (4:12) a big advocate of the sitting down and weeing. Well, the problem is that I've Speaker 2 (4:15) got is when I sit down and wee, it tends to turn into a number two. See? This is the thing. This is the thing. I love the way this podcast is going by. We've got a strong start, guys. All of Speaker 4 (4:26) the content Speaker 2 (4:28) is fecal. If you want more of this, listen to the Thomas Brothers. Speaker 5 (4:32) Yeah. We talk about shit a lot. Look, how Speaker 4 (4:35) have you been, man? We haven't seen you on our TV show, God, it feels like years ago now. It must have been 2022 or something. Is that how long ago it was? Yeah. Speaker 2 (4:42) Got to be Speaker 4 (4:42) three or four years ago, easily. Riff Speaker 2 (4:45) was just one when we started, wasn't he? Yeah, Speaker 5 (4:47) really easily. Speaker 2 (4:47) Were you guys in the first or second series? I can't remember. I don't know, but we said it previously. High watermark. High watermark, Speaker 4 (4:52) in my opinion. That Speaker 2 (4:53) show, genuinely, it did put us on the map. Because of that show, because we went on to that show. Like, it was the producers of 99 to Beat that watched that show and were like, Speaker 3 (5:03) let's get the Thomas Brothers in Speaker 2 (5:05) for an audition. And then because of that, we ended up doing... you know, 99 to be together, which was incredible. But you always see the Speaker 3 (5:11) clips as well going around. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, Speaker 5 (5:17) yeah. It went Speaker 3 (5:18) everywhere. Everyone always talks about that. We have the best fun. It's a great concept. You guys made it happen. You brought the best. Speaker 5 (5:24) Yeah. Speaker 4 (5:25) Thank Speaker 5 (5:25) you. You guys were meant like our fan base really loved you guys. Speaker 4 (5:28) What I do want to talk about is the incredible transformation of this young man here on my right here. I mean, you've already Speaker 3 (5:34) been taught. I've been, I've been obsessed. I suppose he has. I saw four Speaker 4 (5:37) of them getting out. You went on some kind of retreat or something? You were Speaker 2 (5:42) doing a thing? Yeah, so Scott's got a retreat that he does. Yeah? And yeah, basically just gets all the lads together and we all go on this big retreat and we do cold water exercises and stuff like that. It was amazing. I saw a video of you climbing Speaker 4 (5:55) out of a cold plunge. Yeah. And I had to go and get the morning after pill. I was immediately pregnant when I saw it. No, you Speaker 2 (6:02) know what Speaker 4 (6:02) it Speaker 2 (6:02) was? No, but at the beginning of the year, I said to myself, I really wanted to get in shape for the first time in my life. I really wanted to set a goal and work towards it and really lock in. And I put on my vision board. I don't normally do vision boards, Speaker 5 (6:16) but Speaker 2 (6:17) Scott is a huge advocate of vision boards. Speaker 5 (6:19) Manifestation. Speaker 2 (6:20) All of that. The secret. Have Speaker 5 (6:21) you read The Secret? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what? Speaker 2 (6:23) I'm going to give it a go. And I did it. And I said, I want to be on the front cover of a fitness magazine. And that was my goal. And it just so happened that four or five months later, I was on the front cover of Men's Fitness. Men's Fitness, yeah. Yeah, so I was absolutely buzzing with it. The problem that I've got now is all the weight's come back on. Got you. Because people don't talk about how hard, well, how easy it is after you finish to go back to your old ways, especially if you're not on track all the time. But we're getting back into the swing of things. And you know what? For me, I'm just happy that I set a goal and I stuck to it and I did it. Good for you because you Speaker 5 (6:57) had all your health kind of issues. What was all that? Speaker 2 (7:02) So basically, I struggle with cirrhotic arthritis and have done for about, well, for the past five years now. And it's only recently, I think in the last year or so, that I finally found a medication that works, which are my biologic injections. Literally changed my life overnight. An injection? Yeah, it's an injection. So I have it once every two weeks. The side effects are here and there. They're not too bad as the previous drugs, but it's just changed my life. I feel like I can move again. And, you know, and I think because I found finally a medication that works for me, that's when I wanted to get back in the gym and, you know, do my transformation. Good Speaker 5 (7:38) for you. Yeah, Speaker 2 (7:39) so it's been a long journey, but we're on the side of it. Speaker 4 (7:42) Again, I had a hell of a transformation. Thank you, man. Brian, what you been up to with your fat cunt? Speaker 3 (7:48) Because Speaker 4 (7:49) we should have Speaker 3 (7:49) gone so health conscious all the time. Everything's going to the gym. I'm like, I'm just going to go on the piss. I've gone the other way. I'm like, I'm not doing this. It's all about balance. It's all about balance, right? I'm not having all three of us talking about manifesting and going to the gym and doing journals and shit. I just want to do a podcast about fucking getting on the piss. Yeah. Speaker 2 (8:15) Can we not just get pissed on the podcast? Speaker 3 (8:18) They just, they both go at each other a little bit. And Speaker 5 (8:20) I Speaker 3 (8:20) think, fuck. Speaker 2 (8:21) Yeah, Scott's been rubbing off on me, hasn't he? Yeah, he has been. He's been rubbing off on me. Speaker 3 (8:26) He's been rubbing off on me. Speaker 2 (8:26) He's Speaker 3 (8:26) been rubbing off on me. Speaker 2 (8:26) He's Speaker 3 (8:26) been rubbing off on me. He's been rubbing off on me. He's been rubbing off on me. Speaker 2 (8:26) He's Speaker 3 (8:27) been rubbing off on me. Speaker 2 (8:27) He's Speaker 3 (8:27) been rubbing off on me. He's been rubbing off on me. He's been rubbing off on me. He's been rubbing off on me. He's been rubbing off on me. Speaker 2 (8:27) He's Speaker 3 (8:27) been rubbing off on me. He's been rubbing Speaker 2 (8:27) off Speaker 3 (8:27) on me. Speaker 2 (8:27) He's Speaker 3 (8:27) been rubbing off on me. Speaker 2 (8:27) He's Speaker 5 (8:27) been rubbing off on me. He's been rubbing off on me. Speaker 2 (8:27) He's been Speaker 5 (8:27) rubbing off on me. He's been rubbing off on me. Speaker 2 (8:27) He's been Speaker 5 (8:27) rubbing off on me. He's been rubbing off on me. He's Speaker 2 (8:27) gone. He's Speaker 4 (8:27) gone. Speaker 2 (8:27) Yeah, right. He's Speaker 4 (8:28) gone. Yeah, right. Speaker 2 (8:28) He's Speaker 4 (8:28) gone. Yeah, right. Speaker 2 (8:28) Like, Speaker 4 (8:28) hi, Speaker 5 (8:28) guys. I think Speaker 4 (8:49) I like trying to have a good bounce but I literally could be I could be the guy who I mean I have four days without an alcoholic drink and I'm like Speaker 3 (8:55) aww yeah yeah yeah and then Speaker 4 (8:58) you want to go out and piss and celebrate that's Speaker 3 (9:00) the Speaker 4 (9:00) problem that is the problem but I think I could the right nudge in the right direction come on Chris just Speaker 2 (9:05) cold
