Speaker 2 (0:00) Robin Akeem and Nino Pott Speaker 2 (0:26) Robin and Keevy need a podcast. It's not Ben App. It's Robin and Keevy need a podcast here for some non-con action here with a man who's going to tell us maybe about some mistakes he made along the way. Here he is, Uncle Keevy, Keevy Winokur. Speaker 1 (0:43) And you did not write your own theme song for this episode like Brandon did. Speaker 2 (0:47) No, I was blown away on the theme song to B'Nab. Speaker 1 (0:51) Yeah, I think next time we'll have him do an outro. It was stuck Speaker 2 (0:55) in my head for many days. Speaker 1 (0:59) I'd like him next time to sing it live maybe instead of playing the recording. Yeah, I wasn't Speaker 2 (1:03) sure if it was one of these things where it got recorded into, but you seem to know to have heard it. No, I never heard it. Yeah, Speaker 1 (1:11) I Speaker 2 (1:11) wasn't sure if it was. Playing Speaker 1 (1:13) cool. Speaker 2 (1:13) Yeah, if it was something that got put in post. Speaker 1 (1:18) I don't remember if he, I think he just played it live, but I could be wrong. Speaker 2 (1:23) Yeah. Okay. Yeah, you two seemed very concerned about the copyright infringement. I'm not sure if Ace of Base is going to, this set's going to really. Speaker 1 (1:33) I listen, I don't. I try and be low maintenance. I try not to get people canceled or whatever. Like I was right. Like you do know your, your other podcast Speaker 2 (1:43) that you do is just Speaker 1 (1:44) plays like a Taylor Swift song as the Speaker 2 (1:47) theme Speaker 1 (1:47) song of it. You understand it's not a Speaker 2 (1:49) parody of a Taylor Swift song. Uh, just, it's literally just here is the Taylor Swift song. Um, but, but, but the ace of base parody of, uh, the nap, which was not even like, did not even seem to have like the actual backing track from the song. You seemed very concerned. Speaker 1 (2:09) Well, you know what it is? It's be more careful in someone else's home than your own. That's what it is. And not only that, not only that, the Speaker 2 (2:15) 32 Speaker 1 (2:16) fans, I guess, often Speaker 2 (2:17) it's like, oh, here's an actual song that we like. Here's the full four minute and 32 second of an actual. Here is where you're actually putting a full copyrighted song at the end of this podcast. Not that we are doing any sort of commentary. We just like it. Speaker 1 (2:33) We just like the song. Every week, listeners send in songs. That's Speaker 2 (2:36) fair use. Not that it's a criticism or you're talking about a contextual. It's just like, if you like the song, you could just use it for free. Speaker 1 (2:44) The first song ever, I probably said like, hey, here are my rankings from number one until... So like there were still ranking the songs by playing them. I think it's a it's an ongoing commentary, but I haven't picked the songs. It used to be like, here's cool songs I picked in the last like seven years. Alex has just picked them himself. So I don't even know what songs he's picking. It's just random music. Yeah. Speaker 2 (3:05) OK, but hopefully Ace of Base isn't watching for the nap. I Speaker 1 (3:10) listen. I'm trying to I'm trying to, you know, stay out of trouble. Yes. Okay. Speaker 2 (3:15) All right. So here we are. It's a non-canonical episode here. I just got done after I had a really wild travel stretch where I was traveling for 10 days, but I did sleep at my house two nights during that stretch of travel. Speaker 1 (3:32) If you were like gone nine days out of ten, then you go to your house, is that a travel day? Speaker 2 (3:38) Yeah, it was because I basically was traveling, traveling home. And then my wife was like, oh, good. You're finally back. I'm like, I really just I just need to go to sleep and pack for Speaker 1 (3:52) the Speaker 2 (3:52) next trip. Speaker 1 (3:52) Yeah, you don't want to hear Speaker 2 (3:52) that. Yeah. Speaker 1 (3:53) Did you have to do any? Was there any like things, any responsibilities you had to do? Speaker 2 (3:57) No, there were. But that I really I'm like, I've been traveling the whole day. I have a migraine. Let me I just need to go to bed. Speaker 2 (4:05) She did not appreciate it. She did not like that. Speaker 1 (4:08) Would you ever like, let's say things were crazy. Would you ever be like, I have a show and then you don't have a bed upstairs these days, right? Speaker 1 (4:16) Could you like take a nap upstairs when you get in trouble? Yeah, I could. Yeah. My Speaker 2 (4:20) wife doesn't like I would. This is often a point of contention in our house where if I don't have to work, I'm like, hey, let's go to bed. And then my wife's like, oh, well, just because you want to go to bed early doesn't mean that we like. All right. And then I'm like, OK, I'll just go to bed somewhere else. She doesn't really like that idea either. Speaker 1 (4:41) Right. What are you going to do? She doesn't want you to turn off the lights at like 930 or whatever. Speaker 2 (4:46) Yeah. The only time my wife wants to go to bed early is if I'm working late. Then she's like, well, then I'm going to bed. It's like she's like taunting me of like, okay, well, if you're going to work late, then I'm just going to go to bed at 10 o'clock. Speaker 1 (4:59) Yeah. I don't think we've like gone to bed at the same time in many years. Speaker 2 (5:03) They say that's usually a sign of a healthy marriage is typically very different bedtimes. Yes. Usually that's one of the signs things are going exceedingly well. Speaker 1 (5:12) They're going great. Yeah. Speaker 2 (5:14) It's true. Yes. It's true. But let's talk about mistakes because we asked the listeners, they tell us your biggest mistakes. And I'm curious to know, will this be sad? Will this be humorous? Speaker 1 (5:27) I tried to pick the funny ones. This wasn't one of the super forms, so we'd had a lot of these for a while, and I did just re-up it. If anybody in the Facebook group, Robin, if you even need a Facebook group password, what's the password? Speaker 2 (5:46) I'm trying to remember what you said it was at the end of the last podcast, and maybe it'll come back to me. I Speaker 1 (5:55) thought to put your bedtime, put your bedtime when you go to sleep. And and also the email list. Rob's website dot com slash Renap mail. But Speaker 2 (6:06) I thought people had positive feedback about the nap. Speaker 1 (6:09) Yes. Yeah. People were very nice about the nap. So Brandon was really on his game last week. It was a fun idea. I thought it was like, all right, this is like going to be low effort. But then it I Speaker 2 (6:18) thought you were kind of pressuring him to find the haircut guy to tip him. Speaker 1 (6:24) Really, I think he felt so bad about it. I don't think it's such a big deal that a child didn't tip a grown-up after paying them $100, to be honest. Yeah. I think it's fine. Yeah. They probably ripped him off. Speaker 2 (6:35) You know, I think that there is a thing about, like, if you're getting ripped off, do you need to also tip on top of it when it's a clear rip-off situation? Speaker 1 (6:43) Yeah. Now, it's different in a restaurant to me. Like, you'd have to, like, poison me for me not to tip in a restaurant. Mm Speaker 2 (6:49) -hmm. Speaker 1 (6:50) Like maybe I would give a slightly worse tip. I don't know when the last time it's happened, but in theory, you know? Yeah. Speaker 1 (6:56) Yeah, I had a similar Speaker 2 (6:57) experience when I, so I went to the Jets Packers game back in week two, which, you know, it didn't work out good for the Jets, but it was, I had a nice day with my son. And, but we had like, it was tight in terms of, it was a one o'clock game, which ended up going into overtime. And then I had a 7.30 flight at Newark airport and I had arranged like a car service to pick us up. at the stadium and the guy's like be there at 4 30 or or we're gonna leave without you 4 30 i'm like all right Speaker 1 (7:26) all right so Speaker 2 (7:27) it's like all right hey like this game's going at the overtime time but the guy's gonna leave without us we're gonna we're gonna get stranded here we're gonna miss our flight we gotta we gotta go and then i ended up getting to the guy in the parking lot and he's like uh you know the game's in overtime you should have stayed And I'm like, well, you told me to be here at 4.30. You're going to leave without me. He's like, yeah, but the game went over. So he was planning on taking multiple people out of the stadium. And so then, because then it was just for me, I was the only person that needed to leave the stadium by a certain time. Then he ended up pawning me off to some relative to then drive me. And then it turned out to be more money than... No. And yes, yes. Speaker 1 (8:10) And Speaker 2 (8:10) so this is, and it was like, okay, this is like, I wish I would have just called an Uber. Like there was like, there's a million Ubers here. Nobody else is calling an Uber right now as the game is still in overtime. And then the price also like got jacked up. And I wasn't quite sure. If the tip was still included in this price. And I was at the point where I didn't care anymore because I really was very annoyed that I was at my perceived ripoff. Speaker 1 (8:40) It's very annoying, to be honest. Yeah. You were scammed. Yeah, yeah. That's different. Yeah, for restaurants. The Speaker 2 (8:47) uncle Speaker 1 (8:47) that drove us was very Speaker 2 (8:47) nice, though. Oh, nice uncle. Yes, he was very nice. He was from Albania. I said, do you know my friend, the Riz God? You don't know who that is, but that's a person that was on Survivor quite a bit recently. Speaker 1 (8:59) Oh, yeah. I know the Riz God. Speaker 2 (9:01) Yes. Speaker 1 (9:01) From Survivor 50. Speaker 2 (9:03) And 49. And Speaker 1 (9:05) 49. Yeah. Yes. And he didn't know the Riz God? He did not know. It's not such a big country. It's not unreasonable. That's Speaker 2 (9:10) my point of reference. Any Albanian person that I ever encounter, which has been more than one in the last Speaker 1 (9:17) year, I've said, do you know the Riz God? Speaker 1 (9:21) If you said his real name, he would probably be like, oh, yeah, my cousin and his cousin. Yeah. There's only it's a very small country. So it's definitely possible. Yeah. OK. So Speaker 2 (9:32) what are the mistakes that people are making? So many. But, Speaker 1 (9:37) yeah, I'll try and keep it light. And the mistakes Speaker 2 (9:39) the Jets made that day that I went to the game, they ran it up the middle at a shotgun twice in a row at the end of the game, which was the crowd. Speaker 1 (9:49) Was the crowd very into it? Pretty good. Yeah, pretty good. Pretty Speaker 2 (9:51) pumped up crowd. I have to say, just when I played one home game this year, it was kind of wet weather, but we had ponchos, so it wasn't a downpour. But there were some Packers fans there, you know, rooting for their team, probably maybe 30 % of the crowd. Mm-hmm. Speaker 1 (10:09) Uh, what was your son like, uh, what was his takeaway going to probably his first NFL game? No, Speaker 2 (10:14) he is his second NFL game. The first game that we went to, we went, uh, speaking of mistakes, it was the black Friday game in 2023. The first ever black Friday game where, uh, the, uh, what is his name? Tim. uh, through the, uh, Tim Boyle. Is that right? Uh, Oh yeah. Tim Boyle, the worst quarterback of all time. Through the fail Mary, one of the all time, um, mistakes. And then, uh, was a pick six hail Mary going the other way at the end of the, the half. Usually it's like, Hey, can we get a quick, like a cheap six points on the board here at the end of the half? And the dolphins were like bet. And so that was the game we went to, but we really, we had much worse seats at that game. We were like, at the like three rows from like the back of the stadium. And the crowd was much more rowdy and drunk. And Dominic, I think was far more horrified than the people, the people who were sitting near us at this Jets game. They were drunk, but friendly for the most part. Speaker 1 (11:15) I like that. And they got a kick out of Speaker 2 (11:18) the 12-year-old that was in their section. Speaker 1 (11:21) Oh, okay. He was entertaining. That's good. Yeah, we were in like a very non-drinking section my entire life growing up at the game. So I didn't really have an experience of like a lot of drunken fans disturbing my piece. Yes. Speaker 2 (11:34) I Speaker 1 (11:34) don't Speaker 2 (11:34) know Speaker 1 (11:34) why. Speaker 2 (11:34) Yeah, so they were, you know, everybody. So he was enjoying the, you know, rowdy, drunk Jets fans. But the people who were just at the... Black Friday game that I went to. They just seemed like they were just drunk people. They did not, none of them even seemed to have any sort of like vested interest in the Jets. They Speaker 1 (11:51) were Speaker 2 (11:51) given Speaker 1 (11:51) tickets. They like deals for Black Friday. Yeah, they were like, they just seemed Speaker 2 (11:55) like that they really liked alcohol and they were just like, there was a lot of people just screaming J-E-T-S, suck, suck, suck. And they weren't even Dolphins fans. They just seemed like that they were provocateurs. Speaker 1 (12:07) Yes, I've definitely come across them. Listen, you will sometimes see and hear things at football games like, wow, this is not so appropriate for children. I get why it's like 85 % men. Famously, Speaker 2 (12:18) yes, yes. Okay. Yeah. Speaker 1 (12:22) All Speaker 2 (12:22) right. But Akiva, what Speaker 1 (12:25) are we going to talk about? Speaker 1 (12:28) Okay, so we've got mostly the mistakes are comical or maybe not for the person at the time, but most of the mistakes are pretty basic. Like, they're not sad. There's a couple of sad ones. I'll ask you towards the end if you want like a serious one. Okay. Or there's one that's a little PG-13. What Speaker 2 (12:44) flavor Speaker 1 (12:44) of Speaker 2 (12:44) mistake? Speaker 1 (12:44) Whoa. Like, there's one PG-13, the R-rated one that we could get to. Okay. But other than that, most of them are in good fun. Yeah. So. Our first one is from our Speaker 2 (12:58) buddy named Trevor. Speaker 1 (12:59) Yes. And Trevor says, my biggest mistake ever was breaking my 15-year streak of no fast food by eating a McNugget on a podcast. Oh, come Speaker 2 (13:09) on. Speaker 1 (13:10) Yeah. I mean, that's... Your Speaker 2 (13:13) body is some temple. Hold on. Now, we didn't know about the... Maybe the mistake was not telling us that, hey, I have not eaten fast food in 15 years. Maybe the mistake was, and Trevor, I think that, you know, are you pointing the thumb or are you pointing the finger of if your fast food streak means so much, don't write to a podcast that never have I ever eaten a chicken nugget. Speaker 1 (13:41) Right. Yeah. If it's such a private thing, you know, we're going to exploit it. Speaker 2 (13:45) He Speaker 1 (13:45) did send me the receipt because I paid for this, these nuggets. Let me read the order because I think we may see where Trevor went wrong. Yes. In your order, one, six garlic and black pepper chicken McNuggets. Oh. I mean, that's not the standard order, right? Garlic and black pepper. Yeah. And he's like saying they're gross. I feel like he went a little off menu there. Speaker 2 (14:08) Yeah, I feel like that's like the advanced level. That could have been the mistake. Speaker 1 (14:12) It could have been Speaker 2 (14:13) a Speaker 1 (14:13) mistake. I don't know if that's what you're supposed to start with at McDonald's. That also, like, that seems to be on the international, like, special Canadian menu. That's like a thing you could have in the U.S. Yeah. Speaker 2 (14:24) So, boy, that's tough. Can I tell you something that happened the other night that this was also a mistake? So it was my son Dominic's birthday. Happy birthday to Dominic. Also, happy belated birthday to you, Uncle Keevy. Oh, thank
