Welcome to our live feed update for August 25th. I'm your host, Aaron Armstrong, and I'm here to update you on everything that happened yesterday. The Big Brother 28 live feeds. It was day 49 in the house. And a veto ceremony, a renom. We had some interesting conversations here and there. And the name of Vince was invoked yesterday. So plenty to talk about and with me to talk about it. Matt, how are you doing, Matt? Speaker 5 (1:51) I'm good. I'm good. It actually ended up being a slower day than I expected, just given how Sunday was looking and how emotionally fired up some people were Sunday night. on top of the fact that the people were moving a little slower and the feeds were cutting. Feeds were cutting so much. I genuinely, I was like, okay, it's Speaker 3 (2:10) the Speaker 5 (2:10) halfway party. And then feeds came back in like 40 minutes and there's no party. So one of those types of days, but still enough for us to get into. Speaker 6 (2:19) Yes, that's pretty much it. I mean, it's, you know, the renum is coming up. The renum is happening and everyone knew it was coming. And there's talk about the vote and stuff like that. But you're right. Also, the feeds were cutting quite a bit. And there's a lot of waiting around also for like the other shoe to really drop in terms of letting Barrett and Drew know Mallory's not staying. Speaker 6 (2:48) So that's sort of on the horizon as well. We started the day, though, of course, Dee has nominated Drew, Lala, and Taylor. Lala won the veto. Mallory is the intended renom and target. Drew and Barrett know that she's going up as the renom. They don't know that she's going up as the target. Mallory and Melody also know that Mallory's going up as the renom. They also don't think she's the target, although they certainly fear it. Speaker 6 (3:14) There's a couple of things going on today, primarily with Lala now coming off the block. She is going to have a little bit of room to maneuver and she's going to have a couple of conversations trying to get herself back into the game. Yash also now being kept safe this week is giving him the freedom to kind of move around and try to repair some bonds. So we start the day with Lala and Dee. Lala wants to work more closely with... the vets, or at least that's what she's telling them. That's what she was advised to tell them by Angela. And, you know, wants to repair some bonds herself. Dee says that she should talk to Devins because obviously Lala has said Devins' name a lot. And so they have a good conversation. Lala also has, you know, she has kind of two things on her agenda. One is get in good with the vets if possible. The other is... Speaker 6 (4:15) Barrett's dangerous. We shouldn't be letting Barrett just float right to the end, should we? So she'll be working that agenda during the day. Speaker 5 (4:25) Look, Lala winning herself some time and freedom in the game, like you just said, to be able to get herself back into it, I think is fantastic because if she sat on the block all week and had to just work on pitching to stay, that doesn't really give her the room to do what she's doing here. And I'm just... beyond impressed, honestly, that like, not only is she going out of her way to have these conversations with Dee and eventually Devin's, but like, She's not giving up. She has a real oomph to her in these conversations of, look, I really want to connect and go forward with you, D. I'm not going to put you up next week, even though you put me up this week. Devins, I know I said I was coming after you, but I'm not anymore. Half the time when I'm listening to her, I'm like, wow, I have no notes for the way that she's handling these conversations. What did she get? Fours last night? I'm like, I Speaker 6 (5:16) could have gone up to a five after yesterday, maybe. Speaker 5 (5:20) Maybe. Speaker 6 (5:21) Maybe. Maybe. She was working it. Speaker 6 (5:26) There's a conversation that made the rounds yesterday about sex toys. Oh, yeah. Lots of... It's a very controversial conversation. Not the sex toy conversation itself, but Yash's reaction to it and Drew's reaction to it. Basically, they were talking about sex toys. Drew was telling a story. Then Angela starts telling some stories. Um, and, uh, and Yash gets up and leaves and Drew leaves. And then afterward, Yash is saying like, actually, bro, I don't need to be here and all that. Like, if you're my future wife, don't talk like that. Or you're not my wife. Um, and then Drew's like, well, if you're my wife, do whatever you want. And, uh, and then Yash immediately, I worded that improperly. If you think you're my future wife and you talk like that, you're not. Not if you're my wife, don't do it. Not if you're my wife, don't do it. Because that makes it sound like I'm controlling you. I'm just, but I'm telling you, if you think you're my future wife and that's how you're moving. And Drew's like, well, if you're my future wife and that's how you're moving, it's because I love you and I'll look past it. And Nash is good man. Speaker 5 (6:41) So yeah, that was certainly something that we were paying attention to the way that these two took, what these two took away from the conversation. Can we bring it back to Angela? Because Angela had some stories. Like, my goodness. She's like, oh, yeah, I have this. I have that. I've had this. I've gone to Vegas. I bought that. I go to this store. I'm like, oh, my goodness, Mrs. Murray. So they were telling some stories. I don't know. It was, again, a slow day that this was one of the early highlights of it all. But yeah, look, we all have our... Our own journey is in what we're comfortable talking about. Speaker 6 (7:17) We all have Speaker 5 (7:17) our own sex Speaker 6 (7:18) toys. Speaker 5 (7:28) Doing tongue things on cameras, talking about sex toys. Speaker 6 (7:32) Listen, we are sex toy positive here at Rob Has a Podcast. I'm pretty sure that statement is approved by Rob. So Drew talks to Devin's and Devin's is asking Drew, this is still early in the morning, of course, Drew and Devin's, they're up on the balcony. in the backyard. And Devins is asking Drew how Melody and Mallory and Barrett are taking it. The whole Mallory situation. And Drew says, well, you know, I really don't think Mallory was going to put three icons on the block. before this but now she might you know and again i i think a lot of people immediately like took this drew ratting them out once again um i don't really think that drew was like super intending to like rat them out as much as once again drew just being a dummy thinking that this was a good thing to say because he was like defending them like, hey, I don't think that they would would have done this. But now they might you guys and I'm going to have to fix it again. And of course, Devins, who has just always intended to target Mallory immediately is like, oh, well, careful. That doesn't make me want to keep her. Are they trying to push you guys into jumping ship? And D's like, ah, well, you know, I'm just trying to say that, like, I don't think you and Angela have anything to do with it, right? Like, that's what I'm trying to tell them. And I'm pushing back on it. And now he's just in defense mode and Devin's is getting exactly what he wants. And Devin's is like, well. now that you're saying all this, I'm thinking that, you know, someone that's a better competitor than Taylor would definitely, who would definitely put me up. It's like on the block, like, you know, she was like, well, the thing about Mallory is that, you know, you wouldn't be the target. You wouldn't be, you know, implying it would be D. Uh, and, uh, and Devin says, well, she wouldn't get to vote. Speaker 4 (9:47) She's HOH. Speaker 3 (9:48) It's like, yeah. Speaker 6 (9:50) And I was like, I just, I don't know. Taylor's not really that big a threat. Is she? I just, I don't know. And you're just like, I mean, listen, I'm all ears for whatever. Obviously, I'd prefer to keep Mallory because I don't talk to Taylor at all. And Mallory wouldn't put me up. And essentially what he's saying is it would be terrible for my game to lose Mallory. But I'm all ears for whatever you're thinking here. So, you know, over the course of the conversation, it becomes pretty clear that Devins is already starting to push an agenda. And Drew keeps just. stumbling into it. Now, for as bad as Drew did here, this is just always going to happen anyway. But it just helps give... Really, the issue isn't Drew now at this point saying what he's saying. The issue is him believing that what he's saying means anything. Right? Speaker 5 (10:42) Just the aspect of this when it comes to Devins and how he's laying this information out, I'm finding pretty intriguing. Him and Dee all season, or at least a lot lately, have been very loose-lipped with giving up, showing their cards a little too early plenty of times. Dee especially, I feel like, is talking to Lala back to the conversations we were just talking about with them two. And she's telling Lala that she feels like Mallory is the better target. I'm just like, there's something that we could kind of keep a little bit closer sometimes and not give all of the information to. everybody drop little crumbs. And I guess that's a little closer to what Devins is doing here, but it's also like, it's funny because you can see the wheels turning in his head of like, do I give him all the information and tell him that, yes, we're going to go after Mallory and this is who I want to go home. Or do I slow roll it? And, and just like, while the wheels are turning, the slow rolling is starting to just kind of come out naturally. Now he. I don't know if lucky is the right word, but I guess he's a little lucky that he has stumbled into this situation of Drew and Barrett being these two sons of his that aren't going to get mad at him regardless because he really can just say anything that he wants and say, yeah, we might take out one of your four people because it might make more sense. And Drew's going to be like, yeah, you know, it's fine. Not what I prefer, but it is what it is. Because almost any other worthwhile player in this spot would be like, wait, no. let's not do this. Let's keep Mallory. She's not going to come after you. I promise. She's on my side. I can get her to do whatever you want. So just the dynamics here are so unusual for what I would expect to see from two players in a big brother house, but this is a pretty unusual season. So what are you going to do? Speaker 6 (12:19) I mean, it really is like Devins is their dad, and they are like slightly rebellious teenagers, but at the end of the day, they have to listen to dad. you know and it's just like not Speaker 5 (12:34) even just about the game like they i think have adopted well maybe devins has adopted them it's just like they role play all day as if he is genuinely their dad and they are his sons like it's beyond just like the bit of like we're strategizing or we're in an alliance together and devins is like our dad like Drew spends half the day today being like, how can we annoy dad? How can we pull pranks on dad? Devin walks across the room. I hope Devin isn't listening because we think Rick Devin kind of sucks. And just playing around as if this is his father. And again, just these dynamics have been so ingrained in how they treat each other that obviously it's having game implications of just like, they trust their dad. Whatever their dad ultimately says, they're kind of just fine with. Speaker 6 (13:20) Yeah. Yeah. Um, it's good. Listen, daddy wants the dove. Oh, I, I held myself back, but you needed, you just prompted me one more time. I had to play. Speaker 5 (13:34) Blame it me today. Speaker 6 (13:37) Listen, I'm role-playing as Devins. It's Speaker 5 (13:40) all Speaker 6 (13:40) your fault that I do a thing. Yash, as I said, starts to get to work a bit today. He works a little bit on Barrett to see. Basically, it's still very early in the morning here. Yash is going to feel Barrett out on how he's feeling about the whole Mallory situation. Mallory going up on the block. I think, obviously, Yash is just hoping. Speaker 6 (14:05) to like, Yash is like reaching into the bag and hoping to find a spine. And he's like, so, so Barrett, like you kind of like maybe upset that Mallory is going to go on the block. Barrett's like, I'm a little mad. Speaker 6 (14:23) He's like, okay, good. Well, listen, I'm happy you're safe, right? Like we need each other in this game. I wish Drew would be willing to rock with us. I wish Drew had a little bit more of a spine because we kind of need to band together here. He says, you know, these vets, they're just going to use everyone up until they're done with them and then discard them. It's like, I have fallen prey to that a little bit myself. Speaker 6 (14:50) And Yash is like, yeah, me too. You know, listen, there's, and you have to know this, right? Like there's no move that Devins or D make without the other one. And a lot of people think that like Devins goes along with what D does, but I actually think it's kind of the opposite. I think that Devins is kind of leading this whole thing. And Yash is right, right? Like to some degree, obviously D leads plenty, but like Devins is the one that pushed the Mallory thing. And at the very least, he's right that Devins and Dee are in lockstep with one another. But Barrett does not believe this. Barrett is under the mistaken assumption that Devins is not on board with what Dee is doing because he's his dad and he would protect him.
