How you doing, Chappelle? Speaker 4 (1:11) Taryn, I'm good, but I'm a little confused. They told me we were talking about Big Brother Unlocked. You know that's my normal spot. I said, okay. And then Big Brother, it just didn't stop. There was more Big Brother, and then it just kept coming. And then there was more, and then we watched something twice, and it happened again. And then there was competition. Taryn, what? It's a Sunday night. I'm so tired. There's so much Big Brother. Speaker 6 (1:33) Yeah, they just did the thing where you miss an episode during the week and then you're like, oh, I've been meaning to watch that one. And then you realize right before the next one is about to air that you need to watch it. So you watch it right before. And that's basically what just happened tonight. But they made us do it. Speaker 4 (1:48) And I only planned on watching one of those. So we'll see how much attention I was paying throughout this entire two hours. Yes. All right. Well, also joining us. Speaker 6 (3:02) All right. Well, we're here to talk through. So the first hour was Big Brother Unlocked with Danielle Reyes, with Paul, with Kamu. And then the second. Part of this episode was the HOH competition. We got the Big Brother bribe. We got the never not pass. And then we got this nomination ceremony that ended on a cliffhanger. So we'll see how all of that goes. Let's talk Speaker 4 (3:37) first about some of this Big Brother unlocked stuff. Speaker 6 (3:40) We got a little bit of the aftermath of the previous eviction. Nothing too major here beyond. I was sort of seeing multiple scenes of Lala being quite sad about Kamu's eviction. Really brought me back to the days of Mama's Angels. And it's a reminder that like those angels have gone to heaven. Like they're gone. You know what I mean? Oh my Speaker 1 (4:03) God. That's where angels Speaker 4 (4:05) be at. That's where they at. Speaker 6 (4:10) They passed on to another place in Hawaii. And so then she found a new crew and now Kamu's gone too. And now Lala is back with really only Taylor left in the game. This first part of Unlocked, I actually was kind of enjoying because it was basically just like, Here's a handful of the clips that we have saved from the last like two weeks. Let's just air them and then have like Taylor and the crew react. Mm Speaker 4 (4:49) hmm. Yeah. It felt like they had listened to your live feed updates. It's like we should probably talk about these things because they matter. And so we got what three missing moments. You know, I was more focused on the Lala and Haley missing moment because they really made it seem like it happened yesterday. And it was like, I feel like those two that dissolved a long time ago. Kirsten, that was last Friday. Speaker 1 (5:13) Yeah. It was over one week ago, but I am very glad that they showed it. And I'm very glad that it was quite clear that Lala's not a bully. Speaker 1 (5:26) But listen, Haley hasn't been bullied in that house. But once she gets out, I'm not opposed to trying. You know, she's Speaker 4 (5:31) had a tough six, seven, eight weeks, nine, 10 months, 29 years. It's her whole life, all her life. She had to fight. OK, and she's still fighting. And, you know, this is her fight song, Kirsten. Speaker 1 (5:45) I've had enough of fight song. Speaker 4 (5:49) Well, just say it. She did do a lot. Speaker 6 (5:54) What else did we get from Unlocked? We got a D family visit. I am enjoying the family visits. I like that we're getting these from Unlocked. Chappelle, you've been talking a lot about Unlocked on the Unlocked podcast. What are your thoughts on the family visits? Do you like the family visits? Speaker 4 (6:14) We got to have them. You know, I think it was one of your takes from the first time we talked about Unlocked this season was that. It's stuff that they used to just put in the episode that they've now taken from the episodes and worked them into a different episode that we now have to watch. But those are the things I remember fondly from Big Brother's past. Like Big Brother has always kind of been a show that you watch it. Then you can see the seams and the scars and, you know, it looks a little like up close. It's like, like, but you step away from it and it's kind of cool, you know? And so the family visits were always something like, oh yeah, it might be a little messy. We might go visit somebody's mom or dad, but we also might visit your ex. Visit your estranged father. You know, we're going to do it all. And I like that. Now, they've been keeping it cute. You know, Christian, you, Vicky, the dad who stepped up, Dee's family here. You know, they're not doing anything too edgy, but I am enjoying seeing these people and the people who love them outside the house. Speaker 1 (7:03) If the next one isn't Melody's situation, Jip, I'm rioting. It's Speaker 4 (7:07) not right. It's not right that we haven't got messy. Like, listen, last season, they had the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever. Speaker 1 (7:17) And they didn't. They Speaker 6 (7:19) never did. Speaker 4 (7:20) And Speaker 1 (7:20) they could do it this year. It won't be quite as funny as if they'd done it last year, but I would like to see it. I Speaker 4 (7:25) would like to see it. Don't y'all want good TV? Is that Speaker 1 (7:29) what you want? Speaker 6 (7:30) Yeah. Kirsten, you are our resident Love Island expert. What were your thoughts on the Rome Lyric reunion? Speaker 1 (7:41) It's so hard because they got out of the big brother house like five minutes ago and they are going to be dead behind the eyes for at least six months. So it's just tough to really, you know, feel the full weight of their love for each other. I do think calling someone the love of your life that you met less than like two months ago is crazy. But you know what? If they like it, I love it. Maybe they'll get married. Speaker 6 (8:07) I just thought it was funny that like, I just thought it was funny that like most of that segment was that was like Rome walking in the airport and her driving. Did Speaker 1 (8:20) he take a mirror selfie in the bathroom on the plane? Was that what was happening there? Speaker 6 (8:27) Yeah. That's disgusting. Speaker 1 (8:32) And then she hugged him right after that. Speaker 6 (8:36) I, if I had to film my, if, if big brother was like, listen, we want to put a whole segment about you reuniting with lyric. We want you to document your trip to go see her. And then I had to film myself in an airport on an airplane talking about how I was going to see reunite with the love of my life that I met on big brother. I probably also would not do it in the seat. You are making a big mistake, Speaker 1 (9:03) Taryn. You are pretending these are normal people. This is the type of content they would have been making before Big Brother, without Big Brother. This is probably how they were found to be on Big Brother. I'm surprised he wasn't in there going, one day my future daughter's going to bring home someone. They're going to hate when I say this. Speaker 6 (9:22) This is a man that named himself Rome. Speaker 1 (9:25) His name is Speaker 4 (9:26) Jack, right? Speaker 1 (9:27) Well, Speaker 6 (9:27) I Speaker 1 (9:27) mean, he was looking... Didn't he name himself Rome because of bullies? Is that real or did I make that up? That Speaker 6 (9:33) is true, yes. He was bullied on Xbox Live by friends. Speaker 1 (9:40) And if true, that's something that shouldn't have been able to be waterboarded out of him and yet he freely admitted it. Speaker 6 (9:47) You know what? Power to Rome. He took back his power. This is his fight song. Julius Caesar would be proud. Oh my God. I, Speaker 1 (9:59) okay. But honestly, one of the craziest parts of that too. I know. I'm sorry. We're spending way too much time talking about this lyric and Rome TikToks. Why they had to set up a camera inside the car to get the little artsy shot through the back window, the rear window. Plus they had like someone else taking another, like this is potentially like a two to three tripod situation at the end. Speaker 4 (10:22) You hate art. You hate love and you hate art. Look at you just tearing these people apart. They need to document this. They need to document this. What else are we going to do if we don't have the update about what America's favorite couple is up to? Speaker 1 (10:34) Well, did you guys see why no tearing? Chappelle, did you see Lyric got a gift in the mail from Rome? That was essentially like a PR package. Speaker 4 (10:45) Oh, no. What do you mean? Go on. Speaker 1 (10:48) So this is obviously she it was like the day she got home from Big Brother and she was like, and here's a text Rome sent me and she had the screen on the screen. You could read the whole text. It was it was crazy. You should read it on the slop, even though it's a little out of date now. And then she's like. And I've got a gift and it's like, oh, my God, an aloe yoga set with the matching hat. Oh, and these cosmetics that it literally looks like he was writing. He got home and he started writing brands. I'm at the love of my life in the Big Brother house. Will you please send me some free stuff so that I can make her feel special? Like everyone planning their bachelorette trips is doing. But he, you know, he got the stuff. And I was like, oh, no, he was he was always meant to just lay down. I Speaker 6 (14:26) would assume I would assume that the idea would be I know I'm going to get. put on my back anyway. Let me do it myself so I don't get like slammed on my back. That would be my assumption there. But who knows? He Speaker 4 (14:40) initiated this, though. Like, he didn't have to do this. He said, I don't even know if Kamu knew this was coming. He's like, hey, you, guess what? I've been training. Roll me up. He's like, I don't need to take my Rolex. Here, Taylor. Like, he didn't have a choice at some point. I don't know. Jerry's kind of freaky. I don't know. I ain't like it. Speaker 1 (14:58) Jerry is. On one. Like. He's still out here defending Thog. Speaker 6 (15:05) It felt like. He abandoned his post. On Unlocked. Speaker 1 (15:11) Like a little bit. But still he was like. Tough for my girl. She's still my girl. And it's like. Whatever you want, babe. You got it. I don't care. Like, dog who? I would have thrown her under the bus so quickly. Yeah, this was tough to watch. I mean, Taylor's looking at him. Danielle's there. That's actually Speaker 1 (15:49) triggering for me. There was not enough Speaker 6 (15:51) Danielle Reyes in this Unlocked episode for my taste. Speaker 1 (15:56) No, we needed more.
