Speaker 3 (0:14) Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Big Brother 28 Roundtable Podcast. I'm your host, Aaron Armstrong, and we are here today to talk about everything that's been happening on the Big Brother 28 live feeds and rate the players from 1 to 10 based on how well we think they are doing in the game and talk about all kinds of other fun, interesting stuff from the survey. With me to talk about this, as always, Melissa, how are you doing, Melissa? Speaker 2 (0:44) I'm doing great. I was not expecting to watch a veto competition on the feed. So that was very fun and exciting. Although I didn't get to see the end because I was like, it is getting really late. I'm going to go to sleep. But I really did appreciate the fact that they gave that to us. So that was very fun. And the fact that people wanted it. They wanted it. So I'm excited to talk about everything that went down this week. Speaker 3 (1:12) Yes. And also joining us this week, it's Maggie. How you doing, Maggie? Speaker 1 (1:17) Hi. Hi, Taryn. Hi, Melissa. It's always an honor to be back here on the Stock Watch. I'm thrilled. I love the season. I've been obsessed with the feeds. They're on 24-7. I thought about having them on on my TV during the podcast, but then I thought that that would be. pretty distracting. So I turned off my TV, but, uh, I I'm having such a great time with the season. I have so many thoughts. I feel like the field is wide open going into this double eviction. Um, I can't wait to talk about everything. Speaker 3 (1:44) Yes. All right. Well, let's get into it then. Of course, the last time we spoke, Barrett was HOH and one of D or Devin's was definitely going home. Speaker 2 (1:55) That is crazy. I love that. I love that. Like D was able to accomplish that. It's just like that's that's the kind of big brother I love, too, where it's like the person's back is against the wall. They're like going to go home and they're able to pull something off. just with their mouth, just with talking, like they don't need to like win a competition or whatever. They just use just Speaker 3 (2:19) her tongue. Speaker 2 (2:20) Well, that too, I guess. Yeah. But, uh, yeah, like I, it's just such, it's just such great big brother. I love it. So I was really happy about that, especially cause like we all kept saying, you know, like most interesting outcome would obviously be to have Angela go home just cause we kind of feel like she gave us. what she could this season. There's really not that much storyline left for her. Whereas I feel like Dee and Devin's both still have storyline to go. So I really was excited to see what they might do, but we had all kind of like resigned ourselves to the fact that like, it was going to be Angela staying no matter what. And it was just a question of whether Dee or Devin's was going to be going home. So I feel like I am, if you talked to me last week, I would have been like, this could never happen. So this is just very, very exciting. Speaker 3 (3:08) Yeah. Wild, wild week it has been because, of course, as we know, D or Devins did not go home. It was do or die for Devins in the blockbuster, but he managed to win and D managed to convince Yash and Taylor to keep her over Angela, which. I'm sure we'll talk about. Leading to an Angela eviction, followed by a Yash H-O-H. He is fulfilling his bribe now. He cannot and did not nominate Dee or Devins. And Speaker 1 (3:46) we never have to hear about the bribe ever again. Thank God. Thank God. I'm Speaker 3 (3:53) sure it'll come up in final two questioning, but... Speaker 3 (3:58) Yes. He nominated Drew Barrett and Melody. Then in a 13 hour long endurance veto competition, first of its kind as a veto on the live feeds, Drew pulled out a clutch win leading to his own safety. And then a veto meeting today where he pulled himself off the block and Taylor. was the forced replacement nominee as she was the only option available to Yash that was not D for Devins. So now Taylor, Melody, and Barrett sit on the block. But as of right now, Taylor is lock safe. Now, we would have said the same thing about Angela last week, so don't take anything for granted. But as of right now, she's the safe one on the block. And the primary target is very much Barrett. If he does not win the blockbuster, He's done. If he does win the blockbuster, Melody should be done. And heading into Thursday night's double eviction, we have a lot of different scenarios, a lot of different targets, and plenty to get into. So I'm sure we will. But Maggie, what have been your thoughts over this last Speaker 1 (5:18) week? This is big frickin' brother. Am I right? Like, this is... It's all good. Like it's, I mean, we get somebody like Dee, who is a survivor winner, who is one of the biggest threats in the game that's left. She is able to convince people to keep her over Angela, who can't win a competition. Well, I should not say that. Angela can absolutely win competitions, but like not in the way that Dee can, who... really her only ties are to Dee and Devin's kind of drawing dead in a final two vote. She convinces Yash and Taylor to keep her immediately going into a Yash HOH and an endurance veto. Are you kidding me? It's been so thrilling. And I think that the thing that excites me the most about this is even, you know, Taryn, as you're laying out these scenarios, it's like if Barrett wins the blockbuster. we're looking at Taylor or Melody going and then like the the final six is all people who have shown that they can really win competitions usually at this point in the game like there's two or three people who can win competitions and the rest are like if they do it's kind of fluky so It all really feels wide open in a really exciting way. I can't wait to talk through everybody's scores and really look at the game from each of their individual. Speaker 1 (6:49) perceptions and the things that they need to do in order to not only get to the end, but up their win equity. Because I think right now where everything stands, so much of that can change over the next couple of weeks, just depending on what happens. Like I know people are already talking about jury votes and people drawing dead, but do not count anyone out. I think like truly, except for maybe melody, but like do not count anybody out of a final two vote here because there's so much game still left to play. Speaker 3 (7:19) Certainly is quite a lot. And again, big double eviction coming up as well. So plenty to talk about there. And really, I think the primary focus, the thing that is occupying my brain right now, because this week is kind of such a right now foregone conclusion. It's really like, what are we looking at in the double? Because the double eviction is where things. could really get spicy. Speaker 1 (7:50) Yash Speaker 3 (7:50) cannot play in the HOH. He can only play in the veto, but everybody will play in the veto. Theoretically, Yash could be in some trouble. Just a couple of hours ago, we've been expecting it, but it finally was confirmed that Dee and Devins are talking about taking the shot at Yash, especially if Barrett is the winner, or sorry, is the person that gets evicted this week. if he's not the person that gets evicted this week and instead Melody goes because Barrett wins the blockbuster, they would still target Barrett, but they didn't quite answer like what exact, number one, how do you get Barrett out? Number two, what happens if Barrett wins the veto? That could still lead to a Yash eviction depending on how they set that up. And then what is Drew doing? Because Drew made a deal with Yash and he said to the cameras the morning after, that he intends to uphold it, at least for the double eviction, saying that he would put up Devens and D. However, he just spent this morning, 24 hours later. talking a lot about how dangerous Yash is in the game and how they need to take the shot at Yash the first chance they get. Now, obviously, he's incentivized to campaign in that way to other people, but it is a true campaign and it's one that he's believed for a while. And so if he had the chance to take the shot at Yash, surely he would think about it. So all of that's going on. But in the meantime, Drew is still a target of... Taylor and Yash. Taylor would try to target Drew. And this is the key here. If Devins and D say that Barrett stays in the game, put up Barrett next to Drew and Yash wins the veto. Doesn't matter who Devins and D want to take out. Yash and Taylor can vote out Drew over Barrett, which means Drew is in quite a lot of danger in this double eviction. If Barrett wins the blockbuster, which he should be the favorite for. Unless it's maybe ropes. So that's interesting. And then third person, I think, is the person to be looking out for here in the double eviction. Devins. I think Devins is actually in quite a lot of danger in this double eviction. Certainly, if Drew is going to put up D and Devins on the block, that would be very dangerous for Devins. This is the reason Devins in particular. Devins should be voted out over D in pretty much any scenario. Yash and Taylor would vote out Devins. uh, Barrett and Melody would vote out Devon's. It doesn't matter what combination of voters there are. It doesn't matter what drew wants. Devon's will pretty much always be voted out over D at least as of right now. And Speaker 2 (10:28) there are a lot of Speaker 3 (10:29) scenarios where that happens. Let's say Taylor wins and nominates Barrett and drew because those are the two people. And she's trying to take out drew, but Oh, drew wins the veto. Devon's is the replacement. Devins probably goes. They probably vote out Devins over Barrett at that point. Maybe. I don't know. Maybe even Drew. Maybe Barrett goes up in there. Sorry. Maybe Devins goes up in the first place. If Barrett stays and nominates Dean Devins, same result. If Melody wins and nominates Dean Devins, same result. Again, if Drew wins and does target them, same result. That's actually quite a lot of people who might lead to the Devins being evicted result. Speaker 3 (11:11) Interesting stuff here, Melissa. There's a lot of scenarios, but the three people I'm looking at, Devins, Drew, and Yash, I think are by far in the biggest danger here in the double. Speaker 2 (11:21) I think Yash is just like a classic double eviction target. I think that like he's this big cop threat. You can get him out real quick in the double eviction potentially. Although he's so good at competitions that he has a huge likelihood of winning the veto. So it's, it's pretty precarious. I. Oh, gosh, I don't even know what's going to happen. I mean, if I'm if I'm thinking ahead, like I truly think that Yash is in like such danger. I really could see a situation where Yash goes home on Thursday night. But you never know. I mean, he's if he wasn't HOH right now, I would feel a lot less confident. I'd be like, oh, he'll probably win the HOH competition for the double eviction. So I don't know. But man, it's there's a lot going on. It's very exciting. Speaker 1 (12:13) I also think that if we're looking at like the classic double eviction structure, we'll likely get, and I mean, I'm like really tinfoil hatting here, but we'll likely get a booth comp for that HOH. If they're going to do a big blockbuster, if it is ropes, we'll likely get a booth comp. And we've, with Yash not competing, we've shown, it's shown that Drew and Melody are pretty good at those booth comps. So if either of them are still there, I think that they have right now, in my mind, the highest likelihood of. winning that HOH. And I, my thought really is Taryn and we, we can all debate this, but with that, with the deal that Drew made with Yash, like I kind of think for Drew's win equity, him going after the vets would be really big for him. Because I think that suddenly all of these people who viewed him as a vet pet, like if he's the person who gets out Devon's in the double. Then he can also look at Taylor, Yash, Barrett, Melody and say, I didn't break the ceasefire. I know they're saying to you that this is my fault. I voted out D. I put up Devin's and like Yash broke the ceasefire because of the stupid bribe. Like I actually really think and I know it's so hard because I'm like, well, Drew will have to win out either way. And that's why I'm kind of like it's six in one half a dozen in the other. But if we're looking at it from his. jury perspective, I really do think that him going after D or Devin's in the double, putting them up first, then maybe if one comes down with the veto, then you backdoor Yash. I think that that is his best course of action. Speaker 3 (13:52) Yeah, it's an interesting thought. And I'm inclined to agree, but as I think about it, I'm also like, I mean, number one, if I'm Drew, I just want Yash out. I just think that my only chance of getting to the end is by winning. And I think that Yash is by far the biggest obstacle there. And then number two, I also think that like, for what it's worth, Dee and Devin's... kind of are interested in voting for Drew in the final two. Yeah. Especially if he's sitting next to Melody or Taylor or even Barrett, really. And I think that with them very likely comes Angela and that's already three votes. And that's always kind of been the case. It's sort of where do you get your fourth? And that's certainly an issue. But man, if I'm Drew, I'd rather like... take my chances of getting that fourth vote by having a better shot of getting there than intent, then like miss the potentially one shot you ever had at Yash from like final 12 to final two. So Speaker 1 (15:02) hard. It's so hard. I don't know what the answer is either. And I don't know what I would do in that situation. I think like when it comes Jag. truly like changed my brain chemistry. I feel when it came to these, like the way that I look at big brother, like genuinely it's, if I'm somebody like me as Maggie going into the house, I'm not going to be able to win comps. Like I feel kind of bad. Cause everybody's ragging all over melody. Like that would be me. Like, I don't think I Speaker 2 (15:31) would Speaker 1 (15:31) be good at any of these comps. So like I, from day one, if you're somebody who can't win comps, like you have to go after the comp piece. It's like you just do in order to give yourself any sort of possibility to be winning in the end game. So it is really like, and Drew was even saying it today on the feeds. He's like, I see Yash very similar to Jag where he's just immune through the end. Like you literally can't get rid of him because he just keeps winning. So I think that that's, it is, Yash is just so dangerous. It's really hard. I don't know. I don't know what the right answer is either. Speaker 3 (16:07) Yeah. Yeah. It's it's a tough it's a tough situation, I think, for everyone. It's I think why a lot of people are looking. And I think the thing, too, is that, like, at the end of the day, with the double eviction, if Yash wins the veto, oh, I've lost an icon now. And theoretically. Speaker 3 (16:27) It could behoove Drew, and this is one of the few scenarios where maybe D could leave. If Drew did target Yash and he put Taylor on the block next to him, and then Yash wins the veto, and then Drew puts up D next to Taylor, then D would go home. But it would require those two initial nominees. If he wanted Devins out, which he doesn't, I think, want Devins out, but that would still be him taking out... an icon, theoretically, or he could put up Dee and Devin's initially, and then if Yash doesn't win the veto... you know, you backdoor Yash. The problem is it's not just Yash that doesn't need to win the veto at that point. It's also Taylor. It's also Melody and or Barrett. So it's Speaker 2 (17:13) a Speaker 3 (17:13) harder shot to take at Yash. So I actually, I think I do prefer the Yash-Taylor nominations because it either takes out Yash or Dee, which are much more, is much more targeted for Drew. And also I think seems more like his move than nominating Dee and Devins. and having everyone vote out Devins, even though everyone knew that he wanted out B. So I think those have to be his initial noms, but it's not who he's talking about nominating right now. I mean, at least the last we heard from him to the cameras, he was talking about nominating B and Devins. Speaker 3 (17:46) Interesting stuff here, Speaker 2 (17:47) Melissa. It's Speaker 1 (17:48) so crazy to Speaker 2 (17:48) me how Dee and Devin have essentially just thrown away a Wick Boyle soldier. As much as Drew seemed like a rat or whatever, he always was going back to the vets. He always was part of them. And for whatever reason, they're just like, we don't trust him at all. He's not with us. He's a rat. We're going to go with these other people. He's always been on the vet side to the point where it's just been like annoying for us viewers. And I, it's just, he just, I guess he just comes off across just like, so. Speaker 1 (18:24) sneaky. Melissa, look at the way the audience has reacted to him all season. We're up, we're down, we're up, we're down. We love him one week. We hate him one week. Like it's what's happening in the house. Literally. It's so crazy. I wonder what he does. After this veto competition, suddenly everyone's like, you know, Drew's not that bad after being like Drew is the devil for three weeks. Like I just don't get it. I think it's just him, I guess. I don't get it either, but like. I think it's so funny that us outside the house are watching like the audience are doing the exact same thing that the people in the house are doing. Speaker 2 (18:58) It's just so wild. It's like Drew is just he's got himself in such a bad spot because. Speaker 2 (19:06) nobody trusts him like in the people that he thought he was working with. He's not working with. And then, you know, the people who aren't working with, like, it's just, he doesn't have a good, a good position moving forward. I really, I'm very, I'm worried about him for sure. Cause that's like, he just can't get, he can't get it in. Speaker 3 (19:24) No. Speaker 3 (19:27) So that's what we're looking at here in the double eviction. In the meantime, we are watching Barrett and Melody kind of, you know, attempt to fight for their lives. Melody was trying to get the veto used on her. Barrett is going to make an attempt to win over the icons votes, but his pitch, while not the worst in the world, is likely going to fall on deaf ears. On top of the fact that, you know. Speaker 3 (19:56) he's going to tell Yash and Taylor and has already told Drew about it. It's just like, it's not really going to work out. And I was watching, this will be on the update tomorrow, but I was watching D and Devins today do their walk back and forth in the backyard, talking about how next week or during the double eviction, they're taking that shot at Yash. As long as Barrett's gone, they're taking that shot at Yash. And I saw the look in Devin's eye when he was like, D, you know what that means? At the final five, it'll be us two with Taylor, Melody, and Drew. Like... Speaker 3 (20:42) this is it. Like he saw, he saw the yellow brick road straight to $750,000. And I don't think there's anything Barrett's going to be able to do to, to shake him out of that vision because it is quite the vision. It's, it is a pretty compelling one. Speaker 1 (21:02) It's also a great vision for Devin specifically. Because he'll have Dee, but he'll also have Drew, who if Melody's not there, Drew will take Devin's, in my opinion. Like that, that will be his final two person. So I just, and I agree with you, Taryn. I saw that exact same conversation and it was the exact same, like they both were like, that would mean, like they both kind of looked at each other and were like, you know what that would mean. Like that would mean we're going to win. Speaker 3 (21:38) Like they were, they were starting to count and they literally had to be like, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Barrett could win the blockbuster. And then we would have to target Barrett. And again, they have not figured out how to target Barrett yet. You would hope that they'd figure it out ahead of time. But because of the uncertainty of the blockbuster, they might not. think it all the way through in preparation for the double eviction. So we'll see. But yeah, interesting stuff here. And then again, it's this possibility. Is there a world where they vote out Taylor? Speaker 3 (22:17) They're not talking about it in this preparation that they're doing. It just doesn't make a lot of sense. There was, I think, a little bit of, you know, Drew was trying to massage it in there. Like, hey, not only is Yash so dangerous, but he's especially dangerous because you know who he's taken to the final two? Taylor. And I think he's going to try to work that in and try to like, and step that into their minds. Like, hey, maybe if we take out Taylor, then... Speaker 3 (22:47) Yash is less threatening because he'll have to take one of us to the final two and we can beat him in a final two would be the hope that they think, but I don't know that they think that. Speaker 1 (22:55) And also he has been, and I mean, I don't know if this is just him or if this is his campaigning, trying stuff, but like he has been talking a lot about Melody and how she doesn't know what's going on and about how he knows that like. If she's his only ally, it's not like she's winning anything. So he'll be alone. And I think that like he is trying to incept a little bit to them to like Taylor is even nominally more threatening than Melody is. Speaker 3 (23:28) Yeah. All right. Anything else from the week we should talk about before we get into some survey results? Speaker 2 (23:36) So one thing I wanted to talk about was because when I was watching the veto competition, you know, they show the feed of like Dee and Taylor and Melody just like hanging out or whatever and like eating while they watch the competition. Speaker 3 (23:53) Yes, it is. Speaker 2 (23:54) Yeah. Why not use that time? Because the other people are sequestered in the competition. Why Melody doesn't use that time to talk to Dee or to talk to Taylor or whatever and be like, look, I don't have anybody. I don't have like, I don't trust Drew or whatever. I don't trust whatever. Like, I want to work with you guys. Like, just do something to try and bond with them and create like a. A way that you can stay. I mean, like it's the perfect situation because nobody drew and Barrett are out there and Yash, they can't come in. You know, there, you have a situation where you can be like, you have her ears and you can just be like, look, please. Like I want to work with you guys, blah, blah, blah. I mean, Melody is not serious competition. It could be reasonable for Dee to be like, hey, it actually makes sense. Like I could win against Melody or whatever. She hasn't done anything. Like, let me use her. I just feel like it's like, instead of having that conversation, she's just sitting there eating and watching. And I know people are like, well, you know, that's like, Melody's not doing anything. But surely there's a reason why she felt like that wouldn't work or something. I don't know. It's just, I feel like that is. That is what I would have been doing in that moment, because you feel like you're you know, at this point, like the veto is not going to you and you're going to be on the block. You need to have some votes, like find a way to get in with someone like you've seen that D and Devin's chair, especially D changes her loyalty all the time and creates new alliances and whatever week to week. This could be your opportunity. And why not take it? Speaker 3 (25:47) I mean, first, I agree. But you asked, what is the reason? I think the reason is that in her mind, she's already staying as long as Drew or Barrett don't win the veto. And if they do win the veto, she's on the block against Taylor. So making a final three with the women doesn't help her against Taylor on the block. So you could understand maybe why she's like, you know, like, I don't need to campaign to these specific people. But I still agree because the thing is this whole like I'm good anyway because it doesn't make logical sense to vote me out over Drew or Barrett is exactly why Angela went home. Speaker 2 (26:28) She Speaker 3 (26:29) coasted through because she didn't think she needed to do much. And that allowed that opened the door for Dee to sweep in and make a move happen. Now are Drew or Barrett. of the same caliber as Dee in terms of being able to convince the house to keep them over Melody? Probably not, but you'd maybe be surprised in terms of what, you know, the vets might do with Drew and how valuable he is to their games. I mean, it should not go unsaid that Drew winning this veto is phenomenal for Devins and Dee. Even if he decides to go after them, it's still pretty good as long as they still take out Barrett. Uh, if Barrett also wins, that's much worse for them, but it's like, uh, it's very, very good because they could not have controlled this vote. Barrett would have stayed, Drew would have left and Yash and Taylor would have found themselves in the middle of two pairs, uh, theoretically. And I don't know how much that would have actually held, but like, uh, but Drew staying helps them immensely, uh, in a, in a few different ways, primarily that Taylor is. fully going after Drew here. And for as much as there is a deal between Yash and Drew, you know... it's being held together by duct tape and hope right now, I think. So we'll see. Speaker 2 (27:50) Couldn't she, not just for this week, not like, oh, well, you know, I think I'm safe this week because it could either be Barrett or Drew going home. Like, couldn't she have made a deal for her future? I mean, she has a lot of good arguments that she could make, especially with Dee. She could say, look, I'm not going to win. Nobody wants to vote for me. Take me to the end. She doesn't believe that though, Melissa. But say it. Speaker 1 (28:12) She Speaker 2 (28:12) doesn't. You say it. But Speaker 1 (28:14) she Speaker 2 (28:14) won't. Speaker 1 (28:14) She Speaker 2 (28:14) won't. That's Speaker 1 (28:15) the Speaker 2 (28:15) thing is you say what it takes. And then you say, look, Drew has burned me. I don't trust him anymore. I don't want to work with him. Barrett, he's like, you could just say he's an idiot or whatever. I don't know where I'm mad at him too for X, Y, Z reason. I don't know. And then you just say like, look, look, I have nobody. I'm not going to win this game. I want to help you get to the end. I like, I want to work with you. I think that you have a really good chance of winning, blah, blah, blah. Say whatever it takes to make like a, an alliance quote unquote with D to get to the end. Like she, D doesn't want to necessarily go against Devin's in the end. D doesn't necessarily want to go against like Yash. So why not be that person who steps in and says, look. I'm not going to win. Take me. I just want to be like, I want to be part of it. I want to help you win. Whatever. Like Melissa, like missed opportunity. Speaker 1 (29:04) 1 million percent. That's what she should do. But Melody is extremely emotional. She's very emotional player. And she also like is prideful. So she would never do that to somebody like D who got out her best friend. Like she would never go to her and be like, I'm bad and we'll lose. Like she would never do that. She can barely even. like admit that Drew has outplayed her. Like it's, it's really like, she's just not that player and we'll get to her, my feelings on her when we get to the scores, but like, it's just not in her. Like she can't fake it like that. She's not even like, I remember when Mallory was on the block, she was like, Mallory, you have to lie. You have to say whatever. Like I have never seen Melody lie like in the house. Like it's just not the way that she plays. Speaker 3 (29:51) I, and I think that's the main thing here. for me. Melody is... She would probably describe herself as too real for the game. Whenever Speaker 2 (30:04) anyone describes themselves as too real, it's never a good thing. Speaker 3 (30:08) All the way back to Hayley's HOH. She said to Hayley's face, yeah, I was going to target you. She's never really done the lying thing. Yeah, she is just like not in her skill set, which is
