Speaker 8 (4:36) First of all, hi, Raindrops. Welcome to another episode of Reality with the King with Alexis and Carlos. Once again, subscribe to our YouTube because the thing is, what I put on a tank top is so form-fitting that sometimes I'm like having to like... Speaker 6 (4:54) It is tight. It's keeping it all nice and tight in there. That's a very tight tank top. Is that a Hanes? Speaker 8 (5:01) Is Speaker 6 (5:01) that a Hanes or do you have like a couture? Speaker 8 (5:06) No. So it is Hanes today, but the best ones is from Gymshark. Speaker 6 (5:13) Oh, see, that's what's so funny is that I've, you know, between my, my sons and my husband, it's like people want to buy really expensive ones, but sometimes they're like, nope, Fruit of the Loom is the best on this one or Hanes is the best. But then yours is saying Gymshark. Is that a step above those? Yeah. Because the thing is Speaker 3 (5:30) this, Gymshark is this sort of like athletic. Speaker 3 (5:35) brand that men wear it when they're like working out, whatever. It's like, it's like athleisure. Speaker 5 (5:42) The, Speaker 3 (5:43) the, the, the fabric and the quality. I sound like a spokesperson. So Jim shark, like call me so I can be a sponsor. Speaker 6 (5:50) Call him up guys. Speaker 8 (5:52) Hi. So raindrops, if you happen to be an ad sales or you, or if you happen to work at Jim shark, Hey, we have a, we have a wide reach of raindrops, honey. So let them know. I love their tank tops because the quality of the rib tank is so good. Multiple washes. It still sparkles like white or black, depending on the color you buy. And it fits really good. I'll wear it next week for you. Yeah, Speaker 6 (6:19) that would be great because now I can compare. I'm seeing you in the... Yes, okay. Speaker 8 (6:22) I'm Speaker 6 (6:22) seeing you in the... Y Speaker 8 (6:23) 'all see that? Because I've been Speaker 6 (6:24) in the industry of clothing, you know, for a short time. But I can see if that, I'm going to be able to tell the difference in the fabric, I think, probably. Speaker 8 (6:34) So let's check it out. Speaker 6 (6:36) Uh-huh. It's hot. I'm telling you. Guys in tight white tank tops, it's hot. I mean, call it white feeders, I guess. Don't beat me. I know. Speaker 8 (6:46) They used to call Speaker 6 (6:47) them that. And I feel like that Speaker 3 (6:50) with a pair of jeans, you Speaker 6 (6:52) know. Especially with the shirt you've layered over it. You look very, like, spot on. You look trendy. Yeah, good. Yeah. It looks good. Speaker 8 (7:01) Thank you, Alexis. You bring out the best in me. What can I say? Speaker 6 (7:04) And I'm in Navy today, so I really threw you off. We're not doing anything. Speaker 8 (7:09) But you're also blinking, sister. You're blinking. Speaker 6 (7:12) Yeah, I like this one. You like it? Speaker 8 (7:14) I Speaker 6 (7:14) love it. I get boring and just wear my AJ necklace all the time that John has made. Speaker 8 (7:21) How expensive Speaker 6 (7:22) is your necklace? This one? I don't know, honey. I don't Speaker 8 (7:26) know. Speaker 6 (7:27) You Speaker 8 (7:27) do know. You don't want to tell me the price. Speaker 6 (7:31) I honest to God, this is not one that I'm remembering off the top of my head. Like, oh, this one was this. No, I mean, there's, there are some, but I can definitely give you the quote. I don't know. Speaker 8 (7:40) That's a good one. You look good. I have a Speaker 6 (7:45) blemish here though, right here. I had a zit and so I went in for a facial and we over zapped it. So if you can use it, can you see on the camera? Speaker 3 (7:53) Oh, I can see it. Yeah, yeah. Speaker 6 (7:55) So my makeup is doing a good job covering up. From here, you can't see it. Speaker 3 (7:59) No. No. Speaker 6 (8:01) It'll be gone in two days. We over-zapped a little bitty friend that joined. Harry. I'll call him Harry the zit. Speaker 8 (8:10) Okay, then I'll call him my Sally. So when Harry met Sally. Because I have a zit. So yours, my zit is called Sally. Yours is called Harry. Okay, you want to see mine? Yeah, let's see. Speaker 6 (8:20) Oh, Speaker 8 (8:20) yeah, I can definitely see that. Why didn't Speaker 6 (8:22) you even Speaker 8 (8:22) try? Not definitely. Speaker 6 (8:25) Why didn't you even try to put a little bit of makeup on that? Like, at least I tried to cover it up. Speaker 8 (8:30) No, here's the deal. And you would and you I know you and you would appreciate this. I feel like when it comes to men. Speaker 8 (8:41) Our imperfections make us look better because who wants like a pretty man? There Speaker 6 (8:46) is a very, you're so right because there's a very fine line between metrosexual, what's Speaker 8 (8:52) it Speaker 6 (8:52) called? Metrosexual. Metrosexual. That's hot and sexy or that it's too like, okay, he takes more time to do his face skincare than I do. That's not sexy. It's sexy when you're like, yeah, he takes care of himself, but okay, wear that zit, own it and move on. Like, let's just go, you know? So I agree. I agree with you. Speaker 8 (9:10) Yeah. Speaker 7 (9:10) Yeah. Speaker 8 (9:11) So I was like, here Speaker 6 (9:12) I go. Speaker 8 (9:12) I'm like, you know what? It's there. Listen, it'll go away. It's been a few days. It's been Speaker 6 (9:18) two days. Sally's there to meet Harry. What's it called when Harry met Sally? Isn't that the movie for her? Speaker 8 (9:24) Yeah, that's Speaker 6 (9:24) what I said, Speaker 8 (9:25) Alexis. Speaker 6 (9:25) Of course, now they met. Now we can kiss them goodbye and they can... And then they can go. They're done. Speaker 8 (9:33) I'm telling you, Raindrops, I love my audio listeners. If you're not watching us on YouTube, you're missing out. It's a comedy show. It's giving my favorite HBO Max show that just ended called Hacks. Speaker 6 (9:48) Oh. Speaker 8 (9:49) Have you ever Speaker 6 (9:50) seen Hacks? No, but it sounds good. Like, I might need to tune in on that. Jean Smart Speaker 3 (9:54) from Designing Women. Speaker 6 (9:56) Okay. It's Speaker 3 (9:58) on Speaker 6 (9:58) HBO? Speaker 3 (9:59) Yeah, they have five seasons. It's super good. Speaker 6 (10:02) She's won Speaker 8 (10:02) like three Emmys. Speaker 6 (10:04) Based Speaker 8 (10:04) on this one character she plays. Speaker 6 (10:08) Okay, go girl. Speaker 8 (10:09) No, Speaker 3 (10:10) it's a really good show. So you're Jean Smart and I'm the actress named Hannah. Well, that's her real name. Speaker 6 (10:17) I'm writing this down. I'm going to Google this. Speaker 3 (10:20) I'm Jean Smart. Let Speaker 6 (10:22) me see. Got it. I'm going to Google it. I'm going to find out. Do I really have to portray her next week? Speaker 8 (10:31) Oh, we'll talk about next week later in the episode. You're welcome for entertaining Speaker 6 (10:37) everyone. Good God, Alexis, you should have stayed home in bed. Speaker 8 (10:45) You're welcome. Stay tuned for that because we're going to talk about the coming attractions for next week. With that being said, Speaker 6 (10:53) you're going to need the sweet Mary and Jesus cross hanging from here next week or the week after or whatever. Speaker 8 (11:00) Girl, we'll Speaker 3 (11:02) save it. But stay for the rest of the episode so we can talk about the teaser of next week's episode of Orange County. But today... We're here to talk about episode 12 of OC. And you know what? Let's get right into it. So, Shannon meets with Gina. So, remember, last week, the girls, Shannon, Vicky, Jen, and Emily were over at one of Vicky's homes. We know what happened. Pretty much Vicky did not want to address any issues. She wanted to have fun turtle time. Like Ramona. And, you know, ultimately, Emily and Jen left. Right. So. Speaker 3 (12:02) Gina is catching up with Shannon because she wasn't there and they talk about it. In addition to the fact that they're really talking about Vicky saying things that they feel like are inappropriate. And what comes up in this conversation is apparently they flashback to a moment where Vicky is talking about Carmela. And she does say that. Speaker 3 (12:31) Danny pretty much raises and takes care of the kids. That's why Carmella is with him. Shannon's like, look, Vicky is known for putting, you know, her foot in her mouth. She says things that she doesn't mean in the moment. And Gina's not buying it. And she feels like, what? Did you correct her? And Shannon goes, no. I'm not going to kick her while she's down. And Gina feels like you must hold your friends accountable. So, look. Speaker 3 (13:03) Last week, I feel like you and I did a fantastic job, especially you because you and Vicky are friends. And I respect friendships. I was very honest last week. Like, look, I've been very honest about my feelings towards Vicky this season. But last week's episode, I said, you know what? That scene with her and Tamara. Speaker 6 (13:23) It softened you a little. Last week softened you. But now where I know, I think I know where you're going, but we'll see. But so now where do you stand? Speaker 3 (13:30) I'm a hard-boiled egg. And with my cone-shaped head. Speaker 6 (13:39) I knew where you were going. I was just going to, you know, I wanted to remind the listeners that you were Team Vicky last week and you did have a softer spot for her last week. I did. Speaker 3 (13:48) I did. And the beautiful thing about you and I, recapping, is we only stick to the episode. Episode by episode, right? Speaker 3 (13:58) And in this episode, I'll stick to scene by scene before I give you my whole Speaker 8 (14:02) overall thought. Okay. Can't wait for that. I do feel like, look, when Speaker 3 (14:12) it comes to someone being your friend. Speaker 3 (14:16) There is a fine line with having your friends back, but also acknowledging like, hey, this was bad. And again, I'll get to what happened later. But in this particular scene between Shannon and Vicky, I'm on Gina's side. I feel like if someone says something in the moment, I think you should tell them in the moment that's not okay. And that's why. Another shocker, I was on Heather's side when she shut it down when Vicky made the comments to Carmela in Vegas about like, why are you here? Your daughter's home sick. You should be home with your daughter. And Heather's like, we're not doing that. So I was on Gina's side. But what are your thoughts about all of that? Should Shannon have held Vicky accountable in that moment when she made that comment? Speaker 6 (15:02) Well, yeah, but who else was in that scene when Vicky originally made it? Oh, it was... Who was it with? It was Gina and Vicky and Shannon. It was those three? Who were the three in the spa when Vicky made that Speaker 8 (15:14) call? Wasn't it Heather there? Jamie, let me know. Yeah, Speaker 6 (15:18) because it was Shannon. I remember Shannon because she was sitting here and then it was Vicky and then there was one person here and Shannon was like, whoa, why did you say that? Why did Speaker 3 (15:27) they have that if I'm not mistaken? I Speaker 6 (15:29) can't remember. We'll find Speaker 3 (15:30) out. Speaker 6 (15:32) Anyway, but to Speaker 3 (15:33) your point, but to your point, Shannon was not the only person there. Right. Speaker 6 (15:36) So someone sitting in that group should have said this is not OK. Like, no, he does not raise those kids. I mean, even me watching as a viewer, which I know we're seeing a very short snippet of anything, but you can tell that Carmel is a very hands on mom. Like you can tell by the relationship she has with those kids. Danny is not raising those kids. So anyway, yeah, that would hit me through the heart. That would be a very – I would have the same reaction Carmela had. I do think that she should be – Vicky should be saying sorry over and over for that one. Speaker 3 (16:09) Yeah, and I just think it's not a nice comment to make about someone. You can have your opinions about Dani. You can have your opinions about why she's with him. But I think to make that comment, I thought was pretty low. And I think when it comes to Shannon in this moment. Speaker 3 (16:30) I think Shannon understands that her value and her friendship is by having Vicky on her side because none of the other women are truly Shannon's friends. You know, I Speaker 6 (16:41) feel like I don't know. I feel like everyone's kind of being kumbaya this season. I feel like I feel like there is some some true like. Maybe not friends where you're calling every Saturday to see if you can meet up for coffee when you're not, you know, filming or whatever. But I do feel like there's more of a cohesiveness in the group. But the other thing I wanted to say about Vicky is she does forget things she says. Because I went on her podcast. I mean, I had just gotten engaged. No, I was almost, I was getting married to John two months away. So it was, I got married in October. So it was like August or August-ish. Okay. And I go on her podcast. And she says something about John and I, and about how she likes him. And I called her out point blank. I said, oh, you do? I go, because from what I remember hearing you say, you've thrown him under the bus like five times. And she's like, oh, no, no. like him. No, no, no. I do. What are you talking about? And so then I had to go down the list of what she'd said. Right. And then she's like, oh, well, you know, she literally is like, she just says things and doesn't even think them through. Not that that's right. Carlos though. Not that that's right to do. Right. But, but you know, I don't, she, I, the thing is, is that I kind of laughed at when we were on our pod, I kind of laughed. I was like, it's just freaking Vicky. It's funny. I'm like, okay, so now you love him. Cause I'm married to him. Okay, good. Perfect. Speaker 8 (17:53) I think. Speaker 3 (17:58) I think Vicky is the type of woman where she talks shit behind your back and when she's confronted, she doesn't want to make a big issue. Speaker 3 (18:08) I think she means what she says in the moment. I don't think she forgets it. I think she doesn't want to deal with it. I think she's one of those women as a season three watcher. Hey, Tamara, because I started watching when Tamara came on. And I always say that. And then I'll listen. I'm very honest. Speaker 7 (18:32) You Speaker 8 (18:32) gave Tamara Speaker 7 (18:32) a big head. Speaker 3 (18:34) I'm very honest. Speaker 8 (18:35) I thought of watching when Tamar Judge came on, but I got to be fair, Gretchen made me glue to my seat. Speaker 8 (18:45) Tamara started me watching it, but Gretchen made me stay. I said, what the fuck is this shit? Hold on to your daddy, girls. Here comes Gretchen. I said, she's dating Colonel... I mean, rest in heaven. Let me not say anything because he's passed away. But my point is, I was like, oh, shit. But my other point was, Vicky, that's who Vicky is. And I feel like this season, that's who Vicky is. I definitely think she means what she says in the moment. I don't think she forgets it per se. I just think she's just like, get over it. It's not that serious. And I think in all fairness to her, if I'm being fair too, Speaker 3 (19:22) to her and you. Speaker 3 (19:26) I think she said it, especially her bias being Shannon is her best friend. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 6 (19:36) And so maybe you're right. Maybe there's some truth to that, that she says it. I almost think also adding on to that, that maybe she says it, but she doesn't, she, she means it, but she kind of means it jokingly. Like she knows she's on a TV show. You know, you're supposed to say funny things. You know, he's just trying to be funny and, and like move. I don't know. Speaker 3 (19:52) Yeah. Yeah. No, totals. Totals. Totals. Totally get it. Totally get it. Totals is a new saying. Totals. Speaker 8 (20:00) You've never said that Speaker 6 (20:00) before. Speaker 8 (20:00) Totals, Speaker 3 (20:00) honey. Speaker 8 (20:01) I love an abbreviation. Totals. Why not short Speaker 3 (20:07) things, okay? This scene really made my heart smile. I want to get into Tamra with her... Well, let me ask you this. Is there anything else you want to talk about when it comes to that Shannon and Gina moment? No. Speaker 6 (20:24) Yeah. Speaker 3 (20:26) Tamra Thien with her granddaughter, Ava. The four Speaker 6 (20:31) generations. It was four generations all there together. First of all, none of them look like they should be in the role they are. Like, the grandma doesn't look, the great-grandma doesn't look like a great-grandma. The grandma doesn't look like a grandma. And, you know. Speaker 3 (20:43) She looks good. That's Speaker 6 (20:44) a great photo. So great. Speaker 3 (20:47) She looks totally good. Tamara looks good. Her mother looks good. And then you have her daughter, then her granddaughter, Ava. So I did love that four-generation moment that they were obviously celebrating for Ava's birthday party. In this scene, Tamara does talk about her son, Ryan. And when it comes to Tamara and her relationship with her son, Ryan... What we have watched throughout the years is, you know, look, a lot of ups and downs in their relationship, right? Because one of the things that they've always dealt with was he was sort of living his life as a teen on the side of not the most safe, right? And Tamara being 18 years old, which is still young. to be a mom. And one of
