Speaker 2 (0:15) Welcome to Reality Hangover. I'm Juliette Littman. Speaker 1 (0:18) And I'm Callie Curry. Speaker 2 (0:20) Callie, did you make your flight last time I saw you? You were headed off to the airport. Speaker 1 (0:25) Yeah, I did, but it was a lot closer than I thought I was going to be. Speaker 2 (0:28) I was not entirely surprised. When you threw in that you had to go back to your hotel, I was like, good luck. Speaker 1 (0:36) I made it to the airport with like probably 47 minutes before my flight. So it's still okay to check a bag because you have to 45. But then the security line was insane. And I have everything. I have clear. I have touchless. I have TSA, like literally everything that you can have. And it was so long. But Speaker 2 (0:55) you made it out. Speaker 1 (0:55) And my flight got delayed 15 minutes. So it worked out perfectly. That's great. I'm not sure if I would have made it without that delay because of how long the security line was. But we made it. All Speaker 2 (1:04) right. Great news. Today, we are going to check in on some reality TV random stuff. I want to talk about the Million Dollar Secret celebrity cast that Netflix released. I feel like people are going to watch this and just want to remind you all we were there first. Actually, Callie was there first. You watched season one. I jumped on the bandwagon for season two. Of Speaker 1 (1:25) course. Speaker 2 (1:26) So we're going to hit that. We got to check in, of course, on the slow-mo drama, Never Stops, even when there's... seemingly nothing to talk about but yet here we are um and callie's corner you finished the gilded age november november 1st is really soon i'm so happy for us and for you i can't wait to hear your thoughts it was a great end of season two like or excuse me season three it's it's the best isn't it Speaker 1 (1:52) It is very good. It's like... That's actually kind of shocking that it's not more popular. Speaker 2 (1:59) It's like so substantive, but also fun. It's a very hard thing to do, but it like addresses real topics. Speaker 1 (2:07) Yeah. I do think that it starts a bit slow. Yeah, Speaker 2 (2:13) that picks up. Speaker 1 (2:14) So it's kind of hard to like get people into it, but then like if you get past that little... tiny little speed bump you're fully in. Breaking Speaker 2 (2:23) Bad was the same way. I found season one very slow. Speaker 1 (2:26) Yeah, some people didn't like, I like Breaking Bad from like the beginning for some reason, but a lot of people feel that way. Like people can't believe it's one of the best TV shows ever. Yeah, I Speaker 2 (2:36) get it, but I did like it, but I found season one really slow. Speaker 1 (2:40) And then some people like Better Call Saul better than Breaking Bad. Yes, my Speaker 2 (2:44) parents and my brother feel that way. Speaker 1 (2:47) I'm not one of those people. I didn't watch it. But I did like Better Call Saul, but Breaking Bad's better. Speaker 2 (2:52) All right. Let's start with Taylor breaking Paul. So last week we talked about how Michaela was leaving and maybe Macy and maybe Layla. And it became clear that it was because of Taylor. Without saying it, but they were not willing to film with her. And we were like, when will enough be enough with Taylor? And I think shortly after we recorded, because what happened at that point also, as you may recall, is she had failed a drug test. Taylor posted on her Instagram shortly after that. It was about a week ago that she was out of slow-mo. She was done Speaker 1 (3:33) with it. Speaker 2 (3:34) It's unclear if she quit or if they told her she had to go. I'm not really sure. Speaker 1 (3:41) She made it seem like she quit. Speaker 2 (3:43) Yes, she made it seem like she quit. But like, is that what happened? I don't know. Speaker 1 (3:47) Yeah, I don't know. Speaker 2 (3:48) It doesn't seem likely that she quit. Like, why would she quit? Because she... Yeah. She's like, I'm the star. And also, it's her livelihood. Like, I do understand wanting to do it for the money. It's a job. It doesn't seem like a very hard one, although there is a lot of blowback from it. Speaker 1 (4:02) Yeah, if I were her... Well, I mean, there's a lot of things I'd do differently. But I would... I agree with you. Like, I don't... Like... I don't think you can quit because that's just like how you can pay bills easiest. Speaker 2 (4:17) Yeah. Speaker 1 (4:18) But then you have to take care of like everything else. And she's just refusing to do that so far. Her social media posts, she also said that her last drug test came back clean. So as long as she passed one more, she should be able to see her kids again. And she said that she wants to document this like process with the courts so that people understand how horrible it is. Speaker 1 (4:41) I don't think anyone thinks that this, like, is a good process. Like, no one's like, oh, yeah, custody hearings. It's great. I've just never heard that. Also, I would generally say that custody hearings are better for moms. And Speaker 2 (5:00) usually that's how it goes. Speaker 1 (5:02) Yeah. So... Speaker 1 (5:06) I don't know. It's got Speaker 2 (5:07) to be bad if it's not. If they're Speaker 1 (5:10) preferring a dad and someone who is like. Speaker 2 (5:17) Former. Speaker 1 (5:18) Former addict. Yeah. Yeah. Hopefully so. Speaker 2 (5:21) I don't know. Taylor's Instagram remains so nuts. I'm not on TikTok really. So I actually was scrolling TikTok for a specific purpose the other day and I was just like, yeah, this isn't for me. Like I don't enjoy this experience. But anyway, Taylor's Instagram, like she posted about going out for the first time in forever in a way that she's like not for work or for filming. And it's just sort of like, it's hard to believe anything she says. Like I just, I don't Speaker 1 (5:46) know. Speaker 2 (5:47) It's just it feels like she's kind of I'm hesitant to use the L word. But when I look at her post now, I'm like, I think she's just a liar. I've turned on her. Oh, I thought you Speaker 1 (5:56) were going to say loser. Which Speaker 2 (5:59) would have been meaner? I think loser would have been meaner. Speaker 1 (6:02) Yeah, for sure. Loser's worse than liar. Speaker 2 (6:05) Lying's like a pathology. Speaker 1 (6:08) Yeah. I am to the point, not that I've turned on her, because I do want her to get better. I genuinely am like, I would love to see a different version of her and be like, wow, I really think she's changed. That would make me very happy. Where I'm at right now, I'm just kind of like, I don't really want to talk about her because I would like for her to like not get attention so that she can like focus on herself. Speaker 2 (6:32) Yeah. Speaker 1 (6:32) Yeah. Speaker 2 (6:34) So Speaker 1 (6:34) that's where I am. Speaker 2 (6:36) She claims that her assistant is helping to run her account like half the time, but like, I don't know. It just doesn't make sense. None of it tracks. Speaker 1 (6:43) Yeah. Hopefully Speaker 2 (6:44) the kids are okay. As Michaela said, team kids. Speaker 1 (6:48) To completely change topics. Sure. Speaker 2 (6:51) This Speaker 1 (6:51) is a complete 180. Speaker 2 (6:53) Okay. Speaker 1 (6:54) But I just smiled for some reason. Something you said reminded me this weekend. I had like a couple of people at my house, not very many people. And no, just to watch football games, to watch Florida specifically, because my husband became an Ole Miss fan out of nowhere this weekend. Speaker 2 (7:13) He just loves Peyton Manning, wants to support him. Absolutely wonderful for me. Speaker 1 (7:20) And the Panthers lost on Sunday and the Bills won. So it was just like a win, win, win all around. Except for I really liked the Panthers, so I felt bad about that. But I was happy that he was sad about it, you know? Speaker 2 (7:31) That's great. I wanted the Panthers to win, Speaker 1 (7:34) but not enough. Speaker 2 (7:36) After he Speaker 1 (7:36) cheered so hard for Ole Miss. Speaker 2 (7:38) That is just like bizarre to be like, I love Ole Miss now. Nobody does that. That's really weird. Oh, Speaker 1 (7:43) he won't love them. Speaker 2 (7:44) I know. He's moved on already, I'm sure. Speaker 1 (7:46) Yeah, we play Missouri next weekend. He'll probably have, like, a Mizzou hat out of nowhere on Thursday. Also, this comes from, comes after a week ago when my dad was here. And, like, him and my dad want to, like, get me worked up. Like, they think it's funny to, like, just get me annoyed. And randomly at dinner, Seth was like, I mean, Duke has a better football program than Florida now. That's just an insane Speaker 2 (8:15) thing to say. Speaker 1 (8:16) I was like, what? And he was like, I mean, the past few years, I think we've done better. And I was like, you guys haven't finished in the top 25 in the past few years. And he was like, well, we were ranked at one point and Florida hasn't been good. And I was like, Florida absolutely has not been good. You're right. But like, we're playing SEC talent and competing. We're not getting like smacked. You guys play in the ACC and suck. It's not the same. It's him third's Speaker 2 (8:40) absurd thing to say. Speaker 1 (8:42) Yeah, my dad was like, he is making a point just to like be annoying. And I was like, okay, well then I guess Florida has a better basketball program than Duke because we've done better than Duke. We've won in the past few years and you guys haven't. And going into this season, we're preseason number one, not Duke. So Florida's program is better. Like, no, obviously Florida's program is doing good, but Duke has a better basketball program. Like, that's the truth. It's Speaker 2 (9:04) Duke, yeah. Speaker 1 (9:05) But... Okay. To have that argument. Sure. And then Florida just be absolutely killing. I'm Speaker 2 (9:12) happy for you. Speaker 1 (9:13) It's amazing. Anyways, kids were watching Camp Rock. Cool. And we go inside and two of the younger wives were like, oh, I used to love Camp Rock growing up. Did you watch Camp Rock? I was like, I don't, was this a thing? When we were like, it wasn't a thing. But Speaker 2 (9:33) I was too old for it. I think, I guess you were too. But I was too old for Speaker 1 (9:37) it. Yeah, Speaker 2 (9:37) I was Speaker 1 (9:37) like, I don't remember this. I was like, I don't remember High School Musical either. And they were like, you didn't watch High School Musical? And then one of the older wives were like, no, I definitely watched High School Musical. And I was like, I don't know. This wasn't like, I don't think I watched this type of TV when I was younger. You were in High School for Speaker 2 (9:51) High School Musical 1. Speaker 1 (9:53) Because I was in college. I was Speaker 2 (9:54) in college. Speaker 1 (9:55) But you, well, correct me if I'm wrong. I did say to these people, I was like, well, my co-host actually likes High School Musical. And one of the people were like, which co-host, Rachel or Juliet? And I was like, Juliet. And they were like, I can do that. I was like, what does that mean? Speaker 2 (10:12) I think I'm Speaker 1 (10:13) getting Speaker 2 (10:13) shamed by your friends. They don't even know me. Speaker 1 (10:16) I feel like they were like between, what are the sandals called? Tecovas? Speaker 2 (10:20) Tevas. Speaker 1 (10:21) Tevas. Tecovas are the boots, right? I think, I think there's something like that. Tevas. Tevas. Speaker 2 (10:29) Oh, I guess they say it's Teva, but nobody says Teva. It's Teva. Speaker 1 (10:32) Okay. Speaker 1 (10:34) Between the Teva, I don't know, all the information they've collected from you, they thought that you might be a High School Musical fan. Speaker 2 (10:40) This is interesting. Okay, well, I'd like to know. And I was like, Speaker 1 (10:44) she's older than me, so I don't know when High School Musical was around for her. But she did watch it. Speaker 2 (10:51) I've seen it. I've seen all of them, I think. I wouldn't say I'm a High School Musical fan, but I was like, what is this thing? And so I wanted to be involved. I was just like, I want to know what this is. So I'm not, like, super into it. I've also never been a Zac Efron person. Oh, they asked me that Speaker 1 (11:06) too. They said, were you like really into Zac Efron? I was like, Zac Efron was like never really a thing for me. Jonathan Taylor Thomas? JTT. Speaker 2 (11:13) Oh my God. He just recently got arrested. So upsetting. Oh Speaker 1 (11:16) no. For a Speaker 2 (11:17) DUI or like something like that. And then like he was in a car with someone who got pulled over for drunk driving and then he like started fighting with the cops. So he got arrested even though he wasn't driving. He was drunk. Speaker 1 (11:28) I mean, it's better that he wasn't driving. With Speaker 2 (11:30) JTT. Speaker 1 (11:31) Like Speaker 2 (11:31) obsessed. Man of the house. I Speaker 1 (11:34) was obsessed Speaker 2 (11:34) too. was like the biggest thing in the world. I let Speaker 1 (11:37) my kids watch it recently. I Speaker 2 (11:39) don't even, I didn't even really care about The Lion King that much when I knew it was his voice. I was like, I love The Lion King. Like, love, love, love, love Tim. Also, Speaker 1 (11:48) what show was that? The Lawrence Brothers or something? Home Improvement. Home Improvement, yeah. Was it? Speaker 2 (11:52) Home Improvement. Joey Lawrence was on... Wasn't there Speaker 1 (11:57) one where there was three brothers? Well, there Speaker 2 (11:58) are three Lawrence Brothers. Joey Lawrence was on Blossom. I think Matthew Lawrence was in Mrs. Doubtfire. And then they had another brother, but I don't know what he did. There wasn't a TV Speaker 1 (12:09) show, though, with three brothers? Speaker 2 (12:12) Well, there's three brothers on Home Improvement. Speaker 1 (12:14) Home Improvement? No, but I swear there was, like, another show. Speaker 2 (12:17) I'm looking it up right now. Brotherly Love! Oh. Okay. I never watched that. Speaker 1 (12:22) Thank you. Speaker 2 (12:24) They also had the Lawrence Brothers. No, it was the Lawrence Brothers Show. Oh, yeah, you're right. And the Brotherly Love. Okay, I didn't watch that. What I was going to say is I was not into the Jonas Brothers as a young person. I didn't watch Camp Rock. I don't care about Demi Lovato. Because isn't Camp Rock Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato? It is. No Speaker 1 (12:42) idea. Speaker 2 (12:43) I'm nearly positive that it is. As an adult. Speaker 1 (12:47) High School Musical, no Jonas. Speaker 2 (12:49) That's correct. No Jonas in High School Musical. High School Musical is Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. Was Harry Styles in Speaker 1 (12:54) anything? No, Speaker 2 (12:54) he was in One Direction. Speaker 1 (12:57) Oh, I didn't know that. But he wasn't in a TV show? Speaker 2 (13:00) No. Well, he was on X Factor. That's how he got into One Direction. But no, no TV show for him. He's too big for that. Do you like Harry Styles? Yeah. You know, he's like, when he's in New York, he and Dolly Kravitz, I guess, live in Williamsburg, and he's been walking to Madison Square Garden for his shows. Speaker 1 (13:17) From Williamsburg? And Speaker 2 (13:19) I saw this video of him walking to Madison Square Garden. I watched it this morning. And he's like... walks by this it's like a paparazzi video and he's walking to to work and he walks by this dad pushing a stroller and the dad's just like on his phone and like doesn't marry but doesn't notice Harry Styles at all and it's just so funny because like is Speaker 1 (13:39) there paparazzi just like following him on this walk? Yeah. Speaker 2 (13:41) Paparazzi follow him around New York. Sucks. Speaker 1 (13:45) Yeah, but okay. Speaker 2 (13:47) He's a, he, you know, he runs marathons. Like he ran the Berlin marathon and he used a really funny name. Um, he's like, he, I love him. I actually don't love his music, but I, I love. Speaker 1 (13:59) I'm the opposite. I actually like, like his music, but I don't, I don't really like follow him. Speaker 2 (14:03) Um. He used the name Stead Sarandos instead of Ted Sarandos when Speaker 1 (14:08) he ran in the Berlin Marathon. Speaker 2 (14:10) Like, he's just, like, a funny guy. I also met him once. Okay, so what I was going to say is I didn't care about Camp Rock at all. Like, at all. I think the Jonas Brothers are... You Speaker 1 (14:20) would Speaker 2 (14:20) think you would Speaker 1 (14:20) like Camp Rock. Speaker 2 (14:21) Well, I don't like
