Speaker 1 (0:00) This is Tera Padgett, and today... Speaker 1 (0:04) I'm a director. Speaker 6 (0:06) This is the Perfect Else Podcast. Thanks for joining us. I'm Barrett Freeman. I'm a real estate investor and broker here in Kentucky. If you need help buying or selling a house, reach out on Facebook. We can help. If you have a house for sale, we might buy it. Speaker 1 (0:21) I'm now adding director, videographer, creative assistant, special effects makeup artist, and anything else that I need to do for this movie. Speaker 6 (0:30) Copy editing. Bad. Speaker 6 (0:33) Joined by comedian, influencer, promoter, Billy Hubbard. Hello. Speaker 4 (0:37) How are you? I'm Speaker 6 (0:38) also Speaker 4 (0:38) an actor now, I guess. Speaker 6 (0:39) You are. You've been an actor for years. Speaker 4 (0:41) Yeah, yeah, yeah. I play a really good mean guy, which I've learned. This started coming up a lot. A lot of people assume I'm meanest person because of the character I play on the internet. I'm not mean. I'm very approachable. Here's explaining to me why people don't approach me, and apparently it's my resting face. Speaker 1 (0:56) It's the eyebrow arches. Speaker 6 (0:58) Also, Billy's been a closet homosexual for 10 years. No, Speaker 1 (1:01) I would like to. I would like to. Speaker 6 (1:04) Actor, Speaker 1 (1:04) I know. Speaker 6 (1:05) Everybody switch response, man. Switch response. Oh, no. Speaker 1 (1:08) Opening up here, I do want to say, I want to congratulate Billy. I paid for him to get divorced. He's been married for 10 years. Speaker 4 (1:16) What's the Speaker 6 (1:17) story with that, Billy? Speaker 4 (1:18) So when I was in the Army, I was going to— Speaker 6 (1:20) Will Speaker 4 (1:20) you Speaker 6 (1:20) hold the mic? That's distracting. Oh, yeah. Speaker 4 (1:23) When I was in the Army, I was doing— The annulment process through JAG, military people knew that. They appointed me an attorney to do like, I guess it's where you're not married so long, so instead of getting a divorce, you do an annulment. Well, I guess they didn't do the paperwork right or I messed something up, so I actually have to legally file for divorce in the state of Kentucky now. Which we did. By the way, it's only $300. Why are y'all staying married all this time and knowing about it? People don't have $300. Speaker 1 (1:49) $259, actually. It's cheaper than $300 to get divorced. Yeah, why was it? People... Speaker 6 (1:54) Taking their time to do it. It's rough out there in the streets. People don't have $300, honestly. It's pitiful. I mean, yeah, I didn't think that. Before Speaker 1 (2:00) this podcast, I don't know what I would have done for a Klondike bar and $300. You know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? Speaker 6 (2:07) I've definitely been in that situation, like adding up the money on my card and the cash. Speaker 4 (2:12) Thank you, guys. I didn't even know I was married, but that's all right. Speaker 6 (2:17) So your normal approach to admin work, put it off as long as humanly possible? Speaker 4 (2:20) Well, that's my problem. I used to do this where I would just, I'd be like, ah, it's probably taken care of. It's probably all right. Speaker 6 (2:26) You guys can take those glasses off if you want. You can leave them on or not, but we don't need them. I'll Speaker 4 (2:29) go Speaker 6 (2:29) ahead and Speaker 1 (2:30) introduce Speaker 4 (2:30) these guys as well. So I Speaker 6 (2:33) met these guys before, but will you introduce them, Billy? Speaker 4 (2:37) Oh, yeah. So we are currently in the process of filming a movie. And if you're in the Laurel County Sheriff's Office, you're already really aware of that because I know a lot of people called you at the gas station when we ran in with that AK-47. My bad. This right here is— I actually Speaker 6 (2:52) saw something on Facebook about that. Like someone posting, like, you know, are they filming something? Because I just saw a guy run in with a gun. Speaker 4 (2:59) I would have been like, I would have commented, no, what are you doing? Call Speaker 2 (3:02) the law. Speaker 4 (3:03) Oh, Lord. Speaker 2 (3:04) I was the one probably with the gun. You're getting close, so get that mic to your mouth. I Speaker 1 (3:08) want you guys to introduce yourselves. All right, we're going to start off with you, LB. I just want to go to you first. Speaker 2 (3:14) Yeah, introduce yourselves and what character you're playing. All right, my name is Dallas Hart, a.k.a. I go by LB in the movie. Little bounce. I'm a murderer. Speaker 6 (3:27) But what do you do in the movie, though? Speaker 2 (3:31) Pretty much cause a lot of mayhem. Not Speaker 6 (3:33) like Speaker 2 (3:33) he's Speaker 6 (3:34) a Speaker 4 (3:34) murderer in real life. Sex and a Speaker 2 (3:35) lot of murder. Speaker 4 (3:37) So when we wrote... Me and Michael wrote his character. We wanted somebody that was just unpredictable and a scumbag, but still had love for his friends and stuff. But that was the only person, the only people he really cared about. So he just does a bunch of scumbag stuff. Speaker 6 (3:50) I think Crystal Morrison snuck a behind-the-scenes picture of you in underwear with a dirty crack. Speaker 4 (3:56) Yeah, funny story about that. We posted that picture as a promo because I'm doing this series leading up to the release called Out of Context, Hardship and Felony's Pictures. And people got mad in the comments because they thought it was real. Yeah, it was disgusting. I know. It made people uncomfortable, which is what we were going for. But they thought the shit stain was like that dark and that real. This woman right here has made so many things look real in the movie. Like we had LB beat the shit stain. That guy Speaker 1 (4:21) was so good. I was like. His black eye was so good that the next day he still hadn't took it off. You do it with lipstick. You can give me cheap eyeshadow and some lipstick and I can make really good, very believable injuries. Speaker 6 (4:35) What's interesting, though, is all you guys know is that Tara took some underwear, left the room, and then came back. No, Speaker 1 (4:41) I Speaker 6 (4:41) didn't. Speaker 1 (4:41) I want you to visualize this. Everybody that's audio listening, you're having to visualize this right now. A five-foot... What are you now? Five Speaker 2 (4:51) foot one and a half. Five foot one and a half Speaker 1 (4:53) man straddled the back of a couch with white tighty whities on over his pants in front of everyone in my living room as I painted Nutella and used bourbon around the edges to make it get that yellowness to it. Speaker 2 (5:10) You have to get it. You're an artist. Speaker 1 (5:12) A true trooper, all right? Speaker 4 (5:14) Yeah, I'm just going to say we know it looked real because all you— There's a Speaker 1 (5:17) video process that we will—it will drop. We know Speaker 4 (5:20) it looked real because of how many people were in the comments maddest thinking that— which I would have done anyway if it was real shit. You guys, it's my shit. I'll do what I want. But the fact that— This is my life. Yeah, they still got mad at it, but, you know, people are going to be mad at whatever. Go read the comments on it. That's funny as fuck. Those guys are legitimately upset. They're like, oh, my God, who wants to see this? When you think about it, like, now looking back at it, you guys are mad. I had a spot of Nutella, and that's what this movie's all about. Speaker 6 (5:48) Don't ask any other questions. So, LB, is this your first acting gig? Speaker 2 (5:53) What do Speaker 6 (5:54) you Speaker 2 (5:54) do for your day job? As Speaker 4 (5:55) far as like a movie, Speaker 2 (5:55) yeah. I mean, like years and years ago when I was like in middle school and stuff, I used to do theater, plays, all that type of stuff. Became a teenager. It was like, oh, this ain't cool no more, you know? Speaker 1 (6:06) Don't look cool running Speaker 6 (6:07) around Speaker 2 (6:07) in tights. Speaker 6 (6:07) Did you grow up with Billy? How'd you hook up with him for this project? Speaker 2 (6:10) No. Speaker 2 (6:12) Michael introduced me to Billy, what, like 34 years ago? Oh, Speaker 6 (6:17) so are you from Western Kentucky? Yeah. Okay. You've got the Manchester look. Speaker 2 (6:24) Dang. Plot twist. I moved to Kansas last year, actually. Speaker 6 (6:30) Sorry, Billy. It's an aura thing. Damn. You're very believable. How Speaker 1 (6:36) many times are you going to insult a guest on here? Speaker 6 (6:37) Sorry, that was bad. I'm sorry. I like Dallas, I promise. I can Speaker 4 (6:42) take advantage. Speaker 1 (6:43) I just, I mean, if it don't bother me, it don't bother nobody else. Now, I Speaker 4 (6:46) will say the other character we have sitting here, Mr. Casey Flatt, you ever see those, which I'm sure people know what we're talking about. You see bartenders on the internet, bartenders on Facebook that for some reason hate their job. Like you'll see them post videos and they're like, Speaker 1 (7:02) The bar posts the video. They ain't posting it. Yeah. And they'll be like, come see us. And he's just. Speaker 4 (7:06) Which I'm sure Michael might have a different perspective of how the character came about. But when you see people on TikTok bartenders, they'll be like, when you order an old fashioned, they're like, I have to do my job. Like they're mad at that for some reason. Those are labor intensive for sure. Speaker 6 (7:19) So Speaker 4 (7:20) we had this really condescending, mean. Gaslighting. Gaslighting. But the tone stays the same. And that's Mr. Casey Flatt. Casey Speaker 1 (7:30) Flatt. Say what up. Speaker 4 (7:31) What's going on, guys? Speaker 3 (7:32) How'd you get involved with this project? Billy and Michael kind of, well, Michael and Billy both, they just threw the idea to it. And I was like, sure, why not? I'll give it a shot. It's my first time doing everything. And I'm really grateful for both of them for letting me be in this movie. Speaker 1 (7:51) Casey Flatt is also recently divorced. Speaker 3 (7:54) Yeah. Congratulations. I've been divorced since February. Speaker 1 (7:59) He knew he was married, though. Speaker 6 (8:01) Yeah, Speaker 2 (8:01) I knew I was married. Speaker 1 (8:03) How do you Speaker 3 (8:05) do that? Speaker 6 (8:05) I'm a lawyer by education and training, but I don't do family law. But a family lawyer a few years ago said something about divorce that stuck with me. He said no good marriage ended in divorce. He goes, if it happened, that would be a tragedy. Zero good marriages have ended in divorce. Speaker 3 (8:22) Okay, I'll sign. Speaker 4 (8:24) Everybody's sitting here. The name of the movie is called Hardship and Felonies. I don't know when this episode will come out, but we're shooting to have the premiere sometime in November. It'll be the Speaker 6 (8:33) first week of October for this episode. Speaker 4 (8:35) Because we're under Speaker 6 (8:36) contract with fatties. So this will be one of the fatties episodes, but also we're very grateful.
