I mean, obviously, it's kind of scandalous that we love reality TV so much since sometimes that takes jobs away from actors. And it bums us out maybe like a little bit, but not enough to not watch it. Our episodes are out in the world. Our baby's out there. How's it been for you? Have you heard from anybody? Speaker 2 (1:10) I have actually, it's really funny to see the people that listen to it. You know, a lot of unassuming friends of mine that I don't think have ever, you know, not that they haven't been supportive of me in the past, but this is like a particularly exciting job that I have that they really, you know, have now tuned in just because who doesn't love talking about reality TV? Speaker 1 (1:32) I know. I love it. So I was actually, you know, my One Tree Hill crew is really tight still. We all get together every year in Wilmington where we film and have like a reunion. So I was there this weekend when it dropped and we had a bunch of Speaker 2 (1:46) fans there. And so fans were already coming up to me Speaker 1 (1:50) at the reunion and they were like, we just listened to your podcast. We love it. It was like real time feedback. Oh Speaker 2 (1:57) my gosh. That is so cool. Speaker 1 (1:59) It was really neat. And, you know, some of them had no idea that I was in to reality TV and they were and they loved that. And then others were like. we don't watch Bravo, but we're just, we love you and Marla and we're going to listen anyway. And that was really cool, you know, to hear. Speaker 2 (2:15) And Speaker 1 (2:15) then of course, some of my friends, you know, were around like the lovely Sophia Bush was there and, you know, she has her very serious work in progress podcast that she's saving the world on, you know? So, but I was like, come, come, come over to the light, easy, breezy side with me and Marla and like, does she Speaker 2 (2:33) like reality TV? Speaker 1 (2:35) Yeah, I think so. And I was like, you know, come and chat with us about the housewives. She was like, I'm in. So I'm already lining up guests. Oh my gosh, Speaker 2 (2:42) I love that. That would be so fun to have her on. Speaker 1 (2:45) Yes, I know. So it was great. I'm excited. And we have some breaking headlines and news that's been coming out. You Speaker 2 (2:53) know, these podcasts are just changing daily because these housewives are keeping us busy. You know, they have so much going on and a lot of it is newsworthy. So should we jump in and talk about some of the headlines? Speaker 1 (3:08) Let's do it. I'm ready. Speaker 2 (3:09) So the cast of season six of Traitors was announced. Did you happen to follow along with that at all to see who's on the show? Speaker 1 (3:16) I did. I love Traitors. Do you guys watch? Love traders. It's so good. I was so excited to see that we've got a couple of housewives in there. Of course. So, Speaker 2 (3:29) you Speaker 1 (3:29) know, we've got Giselle. We've got Cynthia from Atlanta. Oh, God, we have Bronwyn from Salt Lake. Speaker 2 (3:37) Yeah. Speaker 1 (3:38) You want to know something so funny Speaker 2 (3:39) about traders? So I have two friends that are on traders this season. And they both weren't allowed to know that they were on Traders. So if anyone is ever doubting telling me a secret, I'm a vault because I did not reveal to either one of them that they were both going to be on Traders together. But I knew the day that they were both leaving. Speaker 1 (4:00) That's amazing. That's Speaker 2 (4:02) so Speaker 1 (4:02) cool. Speaker 2 (4:02) You're going to have like, Speaker 1 (4:03) I mean, who are you going to be? You're going to be rooting for them. Can you say who your friends are? Speaker 2 (4:08) Yeah. So Casey Wilson. Speaker 1 (4:10) I love our kids go to school Speaker 2 (4:11) together. So I, you know, I knew that she was revving up to go. And then of course, Bronwyn, I knew she was going. And I kept asking, we have this one mutual friend Bronwyn and I, and I'm like, has anyone told her who's going to be on the show? She's like, no, she has no idea. Speaker 1 (4:26) And so Speaker 2 (4:26) I was just like keeping my lips sealed because I just didn't want to be the one to tell her, but I knew that Casey would be really excited about. all the Speaker 1 (4:34) housewives. She's going to be, she's going to be so great. I can't wait to watch. And I was excited to see Craig from Southern charm is going to be in there. He, I mean, I, he, I hope they like cut away and show shots of him like sewing in the castle and like swapping his pillows out with the pillows and the, and the castle. I love Craig. So I'm excited to see him too. Who do you think is Speaker 2 (4:58) a great cast? Speaker 1 (4:59) I think Bronwyn. I think she'd be a great trader, by the way. She's so smart. Yeah. I Speaker 2 (5:05) just can't wait to see all the outfits she's going to put on. Cause you know, she has a different outfit. She's going to be kind of like in competition with Alan Cummings, I think, you know, because his wardrobe is just so next level and amazing. I feel like hers will be right on up there. Speaker 1 (5:18) That's so true. I hadn't even thought of that. And I think. You know, Cynthia is really nice and sweet and she could fool a lot of people if she was a traitor because she comes off as kind of unassuming and just even keeled. And sometimes those are the sneaky ones, you know? Yeah, Speaker 2 (5:34) exactly. Those are the ones you got to watch out for. Yeah. Speaker 1 (5:37) You know, I had a personal connection to the traitors last season. So my buddy, Stephen Coletti, who is... kind of reality royalty, you know, he was on Laguna Beach growing up. Speaker 2 (5:49) Sure. Speaker 1 (5:49) And then he and I got to be really good friends when he was on One Tree Hill. He was in my wedding. So now feels like a good time to share with everybody that I convinced him to go on The Traitors. I'm taking credit for it fully. Speaker 1 (6:04) So we were together last year in Wilmington, another one of these reunions, and we were like riding along and he was like, hey, you know, I got offered to be on season one of the Traitors and I turned it down and I was like, what? You did what? I was like, call them back. Call them back right now. Like that is the great, you know, he hadn't seen it, obviously, because it was the first season of the show at that point. And I think understandably. having grown up on Laguna, you know, there were, I think, positives and negatives to that. And I think he was a little bit reserved about it. But then once Traders came out and it was so clear that it really is more about the gameplay and not so much of like, you know, your personal, who you're dating necessarily. Speaker 1 (6:49) So I think he was more open to it. So yeah, I'm claiming credit for putting him on. Speaker 2 (6:54) I never even thought about that. Speaker 1 (6:55) It's a great reality Speaker 2 (6:56) show to go on where you just don't want to air any of your dirty laundry. It's just kind of like you're playing a character, you know, in a board game, essentially. So that's a good point. I never even thought about it that way. Speaker 1 (7:07) Would you, is this an exclusive? Would you do it? Speaker 2 (7:12) Am I going to be the second person you convince to go on Traitor? I think Speaker 1 (7:15) so. I think so. Speaker 2 (7:17) I don't know. It'd be great. It could be fun. You know what it is for me? I know it's like you can't have your cell phone and you're just detached from your home life and your friends back at home and like kids. And I mean, there is a part of that that sounds lovely, but I also don't know if I could do it. Speaker 1 (7:33) But Marla, when Steven got kicked off, he said he just got. sequestered in a hotel in Scotland and got to hang out at the pool and play golf, you could take a break. Oh, wait. So Speaker 2 (7:43) that's what I'm wondering. Do they let you go home after or no? I Speaker 1 (7:46) don't think so. Based on what I heard. So you're there the Speaker 2 (7:48) whole shoot, no matter what? I Speaker 1 (7:49) think. I think you get a vacation in Scotland. Sign me Speaker 2 (7:52) up. Speaker 2 (8:10) Because Speaker 1 (8:10) is he married? Speaker 2 (8:12) What's the deal? I don't know. She was on Watch What Happens Live last week looking so gorge, like just hot to trot. And she kept saying she was being really coy about it. And she kept saying, I'm having, I had a hot girl summer. She's like, Andy, I had a hot girl summer. And she just looked more confident and more beautiful than she's ever looked. And I think that's exactly what she's doing. You know, she's just living it up, having a great time. This whole like married thing, I'm ignoring that because I hate that if that's true. Sure. Yeah. Speaker 1 (8:44) Yeah. Speaker 2 (8:45) But, you know, maybe they were separated. I'm not sure. Although his wife is saying she's in shock and disbelief over the pictures. Has since separated. Speaker 1 (8:54) Maybe a great time for her to be sequestered in Scotland in a castle.
