Speaker 2 (0:00) Kyle, did you know that this week marks 100 days until the end of the year? Speaker 1 (0:02) Oh, Kayla, I knew because I'm already locked in. And good news for you, we have a foolproof plan guaranteed or your money back. Reminder, this is a free podcast to have you lock in and achieve what you want to achieve by the end of the year. And we're going to share this plan with you this episode. Let's get into it. Speaker 2 (0:24) Before we talk about how to lock in for the last 100 days of the year, I have a confession. I think our head of HR actually has a secret twin. Speaker 1 (0:30) Kayla, I've seen this plot line in daytime soaps. What are you talking about? Speaker 2 (0:34) Well, I know she's great at her job, but there's no way somebody could be that. Great. It's literally like she has a twin helping her complete all her work. Like, just last week, I wanted to co-work while traveling, and she already had a list of every co-working location in my area. Speaker 1 (0:46) Okay. And Speaker 2 (0:48) then, I needed a conference room but wasn't sure if I could expense that, and she immediately had the budget number and a clear policy of what conference rooms should be used for. Speaker 1 (0:54) Kayla, she doesn't have a twin, though. She's just using... And Speaker 2 (0:57) then I needed a co-working spot that could take my dog, Fritz, and she sent me a list sorted by amenity allows pets. I swear the only answer is secret twin. Speaker 1 (1:05) Kayla, no, no, no. Our head of HR doesn't have a secret twin. She's just using Croissant, the workplace orchestration tool that gives HR, ops, and people a single point of control that brings governance and centralized decision-making into one platform. Speaker 2 (1:18) Well, that makes a lot of sense. For HR leaders who want to be so good their team thinks they have a secret twin... Go to getcrescent.com slash PMLE. Crescent handles the sourcings, bookings, and vendors all in one place. That's getcrescent.com slash PMLE. Speaker 1 (1:33) Kayla, so you might have noticed I am not jacked, super dehydrated, and getting pretty dumb lately. I have noticed. It's because I haven't been doing 75 hard. Speaker 2 (1:46) Okay. All right. Great segue. Speaker 1 (1:50) You know of 75 Hard. I Speaker 2 (1:52) do know of 75 Hard. In fact, I wrote down the rules of 75 Hard. Speaker 1 (1:56) Tell our audience the rules of 75 Hard. Okay, Speaker 2 (1:58) so 75 Hard is this, in my opinion, bullshit thing that everyone has decided to do to show how harder they are. So it's this. It's this thing where every single day for 75 days straight, you have to do five things. You have to follow a diet, which diet is up to you. So they're pretty lenient. Speaker 1 (2:16) I've been following a diet. It's a terrible diet. It's Speaker 2 (2:18) a Speaker 1 (2:18) bad Speaker 2 (2:18) diet. Speaker 1 (2:18) But I've been following it pretty clear. Speaker 2 (2:21) You have to have two 45-minute workouts, one of which is outside. God, I'm Speaker 1 (2:26) not doing one. Speaker 2 (2:27) What do you want? What do you want me to do? Huff and puff out in Phi Di? In public? To be perceived huffing and puffing? You have to drink one gallon of water every day. I Speaker 1 (2:37) don't even know how much water that is, but I'm short. Like, I don't know, but I know I'm not hitting that. Speaker 2 (2:43) That's fair. It feels like a lot. And you have to read 10 pages of nonfiction every day, particularly personal development. I'm Speaker 1 (2:51) closest to that. Speaker 2 (2:52) And you have to take one progress picture every day. For 75 days. Speaker 1 (2:57) There's no pics of my shirt off. That's crazy. Speaker 2 (3:00) That's wild. And then also, if you miss any one of these things for a day, you have to start over. The count goes back to zero. Speaker 1 (3:09) Okay. Yeah. Speaker 2 (3:10) Well, when you're drinking a gallon of water, I don't know if that counts as waterboarding, but it's pretty close. Speaker 1 (3:14) Wow. That's Speaker 2 (3:15) intense. So it's super intense. I personally think it's a little silly, but I understand that it's very useful to jumpstarting good habits. Yeah. It's like building this like 75 days of, you know, like being pretty, I don't know. Why can't I think of the word? Yeah, like intense with yourself. You said hard no earlier. Disciplined with yourself. And that like it takes 60 days to build a habit. You're doing it for 75. Maybe you're not going to do all five of these things every day forever and ever. But maybe you have now a good habit of going to the gym or going on a run or whatever. Speaker 1 (3:47) And I think it is pretty silly. I think it's technically called like a hard 75 winning the war with yourself or something like that. I think we all agree it's pretty silly. It has caught on. Like there's something about, I think, the time bound nature and the like repeated actions that are very easy to understand that people gravitate towards when they do want to create a change in their lives. I Speaker 2 (4:10) agree. But why are we talking about this? It's not just because we are going to do 75 hard, which we're not going to do. We're Speaker 1 (4:16) certainly not doing that. But we have something for you. Yeah. That is the 75 hard for your career. Speaker 2 (4:22) Except that it's not exactly 75 days. It's actually 100. Speaker 1 (4:26) Yes. Speaker 2 (4:26) So as of this week, we enter 100 days or less before the end of the year. Speaker 1 (4:34) And Speaker 2 (4:35) this is a really important time, right? Kids are back at school. You know, fall, the leaves are changing. That air Speaker 1 (4:42) is crisp. Speaker 2 (4:43) You're feeling a little more motivated. And you want to kind of lock in before the holidays. You want to maybe prepare for end of year reviews. Maybe you want to set yourself up for a promotion, a raise, something exciting. How do you do that? You start locking in now. Speaker 1 (4:58) It's time to lock in. And we made it easy for you because we have a proprietary. I don't think we could say that. We certainly, it's not proprietary. Let me tell you. I think we're ripping off $75,000. Speaker 1 (5:12) But we have a plan for you to follow for the next 100 days, like Kayla said, that is going to help you achieve what you want to achieve by the end of the year. And it's modeled, it's a little silly, but it's modeled after the 75 hard. But I think it will work. Speaker 2 (5:26) Basically, our thinking here is a few small actions every day that are focused and directed towards a strategy you want to achieve. is going to get you
