The official Barstool Sports social deduction game from the brilliant mind of Nick Teraney. In what's quickly becoming the most popular new party game around, players are secretly assigned unique roles with the good guys trying to expose the bad guys and the bad guys doing everything they can to stay hidden. Each game unfolds under alternating day and night phases with roles like the cool chick, the shy guy, the gambler, el presidente, the mentalist, the planner, the funny guy, and more. Every round is unpredictable, chaotic, and ridiculously fun. Who's the Bad Guy is great for parties, pregames, family gatherings, or groups who just love deception-based games. If they were in the national championship game, I don't care who it was against. I'd be there with bells on for that team. Speaker 4 (2:02) Yeah. Ole Miss. Yeah, I don't care about Ole Miss. Ole Miss versus Mississippi State, you would root for Ole Miss. With gusto. Speaker 3 (2:12) Why? Because I don't want Brandon to win a national championship. Speaker 4 (2:16) Mincy. Speaker 3 (2:18) Now, that is something I had not considered. How did Speaker 4 (2:21) you not consider that? That's a big part of it. Speaker 3 (2:24) Because Speaker 4 (2:24) I Speaker 3 (2:24) was locked in on branding. Okay, Speaker 4 (2:25) gotcha. Speaker 3 (2:27) Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. Yeah, Speaker 4 (2:29) see? Speaker 3 (2:29) I don't know. Speaker 4 (2:43) Welcome back to Macrodosing. It is Tuesday. It is September 29th. Today's episode is brought to you by part of my cheesesteak. Football's back. Congrats, Speaker 4 (3:40) nine. So back, he got traded for a fifth-round pick from the Vikings to the Giants, and that's one round less than what Trey Lance got traded for. when the Niners moved on from him. Okay. So a fifth-round pick from the 10th overall pick just a couple years ago. Tough times for J.J. Tough times for Nine. Speaker 3 (4:03) Well, that's fair. That's probably about what he should have been. Well, Speaker 4 (4:05) what do you think is going to happen? Do you think that because obviously Harbaugh got some information from Harbaugh who called him the best quarterback that he's ever had. That was until he fell in love with her. I think Jim Harbaugh just loved her. That's Speaker 3 (4:18) so disrespectful, by the way, from a guy who coached Andrew Luck. Speaker 4 (4:22) Yeah, he coached Andrew Luck. Coach Colin Kaepernick wouldn't say what you want about the guy. He was a great quarterback in San Francisco. Went to the Super Bowl. Went to the Super Bowl. Speaker 4 (4:33) And then, yeah, obviously had a lot of success with him at Michigan. But the best quarterback he's ever coached, he got on the phone with his brother, said, John, you got to get this kid. Give him another chance. So 9 is now a New York Giant filling in for Jackson Dart, or at least competing against Jameis Winston. Really, I'm a 9 guy. You know that, right? Sure. I'm not a JJ guy, but 9 is a different dude. Okay. And when 9's out. Good luck betting against nine. He's Speaker 3 (5:02) been JJ recently. He's been JJ recently. But you're counting on him flipping the switch back. But when Speaker 4 (5:05) nine's back, bet against nine at your own peril. The problem is there's no way to tell if you're going to get JJ or nine, but you know it when you see it. Speaker 3 (5:12) It's like obscenity. Speaker 4 (5:13) Yes, exactly. Yes. So he's going to be competing, I guess, against Jameis. Kind of disrespectful to both. It's disrespectful to both players. Like you're going to make... Who Speaker 3 (5:25) was the backup before this? Speaker 4 (5:26) Well, it's Jameis. Speaker 3 (5:27) No, who was his backup this week? Speaker 4 (5:30) Oh, Jameis' backup. That's a good question. Who is the other quarterback on the Giants now? Old wide Speaker 3 (5:37) receiver quarterback. Jake Speaker 5 (5:39) Hayner. Speaker 4 (5:40) Oh, Jake Hayner, yeah. Solid Speaker 3 (5:42) player. You Speaker 4 (5:43) remember Jake Hayner? Speaker 3 (5:44) Fresno Speaker 4 (5:44) State. Yeah. I feel bad for Jake Hayner because most NFL fans know Jake Hayner from his rookie photo shoot that he did. Speaker 3 (5:52) So he was on the Saints. I remember something, but I don't remember what it was. Yeah, you Speaker 4 (5:56) can just look up Jake Hayner photo shoot. And he hates it. He hates that this happened. He's doing, like, model poses. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Doing the blue steel. The blue steel look, yeah. So that's quite a quarterback room they have there. I'm very interested to see how this all shakes out. Number one, I think it's disrespectful to Jameis to make him compete against J.J. McCarthy for a starting job. Number two, I think it's disrespectful to nine to make him compete against Jameis Winston for a starting job. And if, let's just say hypothetically, JJ gets the gig. Because ultimately... Nine. Sorry, nine. You don't Speaker 3 (6:30) want JJ to get the gig. Speaker 4 (6:32) Right. Let's say they give the gig to nine, and then who knows who takes over from there. But they give it to nine, and then if he plays well, and let's say the Giants go on a little winning streak here, in the season, call it nine and eight. Speaker 4 (6:48) what happens going into next year? Jackson Speaker 3 (6:52) darts your quarterback. Speaker 4 (6:53) They love dart. Don't get me wrong. I think that darts are a very solid young quarterback. But like, okay, so what if nine at Speaker 3 (7:01) his peak is not capable of creating a controversy? Speaker 4 (7:06) What if he wins a couple of playoff games? He's not capable of that. He won a national championship. He has won multiple playoffs. Speaker 3 (7:12) Michigan won a national championship while cheating with an incredible defense. I Speaker 4 (7:16) don't think they were cheating during the playoff. Remember they got caught cheating. Right. They stopped cheating altogether because they said you got us. Right. And then when they were playing fair and square, nine won a national championship. Speaker 3 (7:31) Regardless, he is incapable of getting that team to the playoffs and winning playoff games. And even if he did, which he can't, it would still be Jackson. Okay. Speaker 4 (7:40) Let's just pretend that he did, that he did get Jackson. You went to playoff games. The Giants make it to the NFC championship. you're going to bench the guy that got you Speaker 3 (7:49) to the NFC Championship Speaker 4 (7:50) game. Yes. Speaker 3 (7:51) The Vikings got rid of the guy who got them there. Speaker 4 (7:56) Yeah. Speaker 3 (7:56) Did they go to the NFC Championship? Speaker 4 (7:58) No, but they, I mean, obviously. But they were Speaker 3 (8:00) good. Speaker 4 (8:00) They were very good. Who beat the Vikings that year in the playoffs? Speaker 4 (8:06) I don't recall. I'm trying to remember. Was it the Rams? Yeah, the Rams. The Rams, yeah, because the Rams beat the Vikings, then the Eagles beat the Rams, then the Eagles beat the Commanders. Speaker 3 (8:19) Yeah, 27-9. They only got to the wild card? I thought they won a game or two. I Speaker 4 (8:23) think they were the one seed. Or not, they wouldn't be the one seed. The Lions were the one seed. But that was the year that the NFC North was just crazy good. So they did not get the one seed, but I think they might have had. They were 14 and three. Yeah, they had 14 wins with Sam. Then they threw him out. I'm just saying, what if nine is great? Jackson Dark. What if nine is great? It'll be an interesting conversation at the very least. Good for nine. I'm glad that he gets another shot. Speaker 3 (8:52) Yeah, we'll see what happens. Yeah. Speaker 4 (8:55) Big T, you had an interesting weekend as a sports fan. Number one, congratulations on your Braves. Speaker 3 (9:01) Yeah. Speaker 4 (9:02) How are you feeling about the playoffs in general? Speaker 3 (9:06) Not good. The good news is nobody will see it. It's at 1 o'clock on Peacock, so it shouldn't be, you know. You're feeling that bad about it? Yeah, the Braves have been terrible for four months now. Speaker 2 (9:17) Okay. Speaker 3 (9:18) They were 46-21. and finished with 94 wins, I believe. So that's 48 and like – they were like 500 the last Speaker 4 (9:31) three Speaker 3 (9:32) months of the season. They're not a very good team. I do not anticipate them – they can beat the Phillies, but then you go play the Dodgers. Speaker 4 (9:42) Okay. Do you have any plans to go to a game? No. Speaker 5 (9:48) Okay. Speaker 4 (9:50) Give me your MLB preview as a whole. Speaker 3 (9:57) I don't watch very much American League baseball. Obviously, I'm locked in on the Braves every night. Well, now you play everybody, which is a sham. But I knew everyone in the American League was bad. I did not realize the Cleveland Guardians get a bye with like 84 wins. Yes, that Speaker 5 (10:15) is right. Speaker 3 (10:16) Outrageous stuff going on in the American League. The Houston Astros are in the playoffs at 81-81. Worst division winner in the history of baseball. Yeah, it's shocking stuff over there. But, you know, you play the hand you're dealt. We Speaker 5 (10:31) have fun. Speaker 4 (10:32) I guess I would pick... Let's go series by series. Okay. Speaker 3 (10:35) Yankees, Red Sox. Love the Red Sox. Me Speaker 4 (10:38) too. Speaker 3 (10:38) And they're plus money in that series too. Me too. The Astros, the White Sox. I mean, I guess the White Sox. Okay. But that's in Houston, right? Even though the White Sox have a better record? I Speaker 4 (10:51) believe so. Speaker 3 (10:52) Because they won the division. Yeah. Speaker 4 (10:53) So, yeah. Okay. The Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays. Rays. The... White Sox. Wait, did you pick? Yeah, Speaker 3 (11:04) I Speaker 4 (11:04) guess White Sox. White Sox and the Guardians. Speaker 3 (11:09) One of those teams is going to the ALCS? Speaker 4 (11:11) Yep. Speaker 3 (11:12) I guess the White Sox? Okay. Speaker 4 (11:15) White Sox, Rays. Speaker 3 (11:17) Rays in three, possibly, but they will win in four because they have to play a fourth. Speaker 4 (11:22) Okay. As a casual, I consider myself a baseball casual. I pay attention to my team and the teams around my team. What do I need to know about the Rays? Because I don't think I've watched a single... Rays baseball game Speaker 3 (11:37) this year. Speaker 4 (11:37) They play exactly Speaker 3 (11:37) how you would anticipate the Rays to play. Speaker 4 (11:40) How they always play? Yes. Okay. Speaker 3 (11:42) They have an Speaker 4 (11:44) ace, a certified ace? Speaker 3 (11:45) I don't even know a ton about their pitching staff, but offensively, you will turn on the Rays and you'll be like, that's what I thought the Rays would look like. Speaker 4 (11:56) Okay. Padres, Cubs. Padres. Braves, Phillies. Speaker 3 (12:10) I guess the Braves because you'll have Sale going against Andrew Painter in game one. I mean, the Braves have to win that. And then if you win game one, you're in good. So I guess the Braves. Speaker 4 (12:20) Padres, Brewers. Brewers. Dodgers, Braves. Dodgers. Brewers, Dodgers. Speaker 3 (12:28) I like the Brewers, man. Yeah. Speaker 3 (12:33) But they don't have that pedigree that the Dodgers have. They're there every year. They never lose. Yeah, give me the Dodgers. Just experience. All Speaker 4 (12:41) right, so Rays-Dodgers. Speaker 3 (12:44) Postseason baseball, I want my team built like the Rays. Okay. But it is the Dodgers. Speaker 3 (12:53) Give me the Rays. Give me the Rays in seven. We love that. People forget the Dodgers should have lost last year. The Blue Jays should have won the World Series. They were, what, an hour or two away? Speaker 4 (13:04) It was one of the best World Series ever. Speaker 3 (13:05) Yeah, it was awesome. They're not unbeatable. Speaker 4 (13:09) No. Speaker 3 (13:10) And it's baseball. Speaker 4 (13:12) All right. Let's go Rays. Would that be... It'd be boring. Yeah. It'd be like the most boring... It's not boring because it would be the Dodgers losing. Speaker 3 (13:23) People would love that. But Speaker 4 (13:25) it's not the same as if it was like the Red Sox against the Dodgers. Speaker 3 (13:30) You know what's crazy? This was a World Series in the very recent past. Speaker 4 (13:34) Yeah. Speaker 3 (13:34) And nobody remembers or cares. Yep. Speaker 4 (13:37) Memory hold it. Speaker 3 (13:38) The Rays have been to two or three World Series. I think three. 08, they lost to the Phillies. 2020, they lost to the Dodgers, if you count that. I think those are the only two. Let's see. But they've been to the ALCS a bunch of times. Speaker 4 (13:52) Yeah, pound for pound, Florida baseball teams, they've got a decent pedigree. Speaker 3 (13:59) I mean, the Marlins are either terrible or win the World Series. Speaker 4 (14:02) And then they nuke their team. And Speaker 3 (14:04) the Rays are always awesome spending $54 million a year. Speaker 4 (14:07) Yeah. Rays are really like the model of how you should run a franchise. Yeah. If you're a small market team. Great Speaker 3 (14:13) front office. I Speaker 4 (14:14) think it's the colors. I think the uniform colors make them more boring. You're a Tampa team, and they've got the most muted. Speaker 3 (14:21) Well, I think they're going back now to the Devil Rays iconography. Speaker 4 (14:25) Good. I have seen that more of the vintage logos from them. Speaker 3 (14:29) They just released, they came out with a new uniform with like a week left in the season. They're like, this is for next year, but we're going to start wearing it now. And it's the Devil Rays road. Looks good. Speaker 4 (14:38) Yeah. It's got a little of the blue and the yellow in it. Has Speaker 3 (14:42) a team ever changed their name or kept their name mostly the same, but been like, we're going from being a stingray to a ray of sunshine, but we're still staying the rays. Speaker 4 (14:53) No, just one team has done that. Yeah, well, Speaker 3 (14:56) but like, you know, because I don't know of many names that you could do that with. Speaker 4 (15:00) The Knicks. They were the Knickerbockers. Speaker 3 (15:04) Right, but they didn't change the thing that they were. The pants. They just shortened it. Speaker 4 (15:08) It's wild that they're named after pants. Speaker 3 (15:12) Yeah. I mean, we have two teams named for Speaker 4 (15:14) socks. That's also true, yeah. No, but I don't think any team has done what you're saying. Speaker 3 (15:21) Do you know about the Presbyterian Blue Hose? Speaker 4 (15:23) No. Speaker 3 (15:24) Yeah, they're named for socks too, the Blue Hose. Speaker 4 (15:27) Where do they play? Speaker 3 (15:29) It's in South Carolina. Don't look up the city. I think Presbyterian College, because their logo is a PC. It's not a university. They are in, show me, Beaufort, South Carolina. Speaker 2 (15:43) Okay. Clinton, South Carolina. Ah. Speaker 3 (15:48) Not familiar with their work. Speaker 4 (15:50) The blue hose. Speaker 3 (15:52) Looks like it's near not much of anything. Yeah, I mean... Do they have Speaker 4 (15:58) merch? Oh, yeah. Speaker 3 (16:02) You want some? Speaker 4 (16:03) Yeah, I would actually. Let's find some good stuff. Let's go Blue Hose. What else we got in the news today, Big T? Actually, I want to talk to you about the football game this weekend. There's a lot to get into with the Texas UT game. Speaker 3 (16:15) Yeah. Thank you for properly naming. Speaker 4 (16:19) Yeah, you guys are UT, as recognized by the SEC. Thank you. Speaker 4 (16:24) Was Trump, was his presence cutting out Kirk Herbstreet's headset? Speaker 3 (16:28) That was crazy. I was watching at a bar and I thought the bar sound was messing up. And I was like, figure this out, please. And then we saw the tweets that it was on the broadcast. I was like, oh, okay. Right after they talked about, we anticipate no communication disruptions with President Trump's attendance. It Speaker 4 (16:48) was kind of wild that they, like we saw at the end of last week. a series of head coaches talking about how it has impacted them in the past. There was some dispute going back and forth on whether or not it, uh, uh, Trump's headset, uh, or the headsets at the national championship game were interfered with by, uh, Trump's jamming capability during the final drive of Miami, Indiana. Speaker 3 (17:11) Yeah, it was not the final drive. It was late in the fourth quarter. It was Speaker 4 (17:15) late in the fourth quarter. And so now everyone's wondering what's going to happen with that. And then Herb Street was the only one whose microphone that seemed to be affected by it. Then the game happened and Texas looked much better than Tennessee. Is that fair to say? I don't know. Speaker 3 (17:32) Texas Speaker 4 (17:32) didn't look good. I don't think they're great yet. I think they're getting better. I think both defenses were Speaker 3 (17:39) awesome. Speaker 4 (17:39) Tennessee's got a young quarterback, too. Speaker 3 (17:41) Yeah, he's a true freshman. There's a reason we're the only team in the country starting one. It's typically not what you want to do. Speaker 4 (17:47) Every time I hear his name, I just think he's a streamer. Speaker 3 (17:52) Faison Brandon? Yeah, Faison Speaker 4 (17:53) Brandon. Speaker 3 (17:53) Yeah, I guess. We've got Speaker 4 (17:55) Faison Brandon over here. He's part of the Faze clan. Yeah. Then there were multiple. on-field incidents of Texas players touching their dicks. So I was wondering what your thoughts were about that because they continue to push the limits of ways that you can use your own invisible penis as a prop. Speaker 3 (18:12) Yeah, I got to say I was pretty shocked when Colin Simmons had a sack that made it like fourth and 30 and we were going to punt from our own end zone and he proceeded to simulate taking his penis out and pissing all over the field. And then I saw him throw a flag and I was like, that's a first down. Yeah. We just got a first down. Thank you, Colin Simmons. He proceeded to get four more sacks. So that wasn't awesome. But yeah. And then Relique Brown scored and smelled his balls and passed out. Yeah. For some reason, that wasn't a penalty. Speaker 3 (18:48) But, yeah, weird game. And then you had to love our illegal onside Speaker 4 (18:52) kick. Oh, it was a great kick. It was an awesome onside kick. And I think that it being illegal really doesn't have that much to do with it. Speaker 3 (19:00) I mean, it was a technicality. It has to be on the 35-yard line, and he had it a yard behind. I would Speaker 4 (19:04) say like a couple yards. He was lined up pretty far behind the 35-yard line when he kicked it. Speaker 3 (19:10) I mean, it wouldn't have affected that. Like Speaker 4 (19:12) the idea of that onside kick is a good onside kick to do. And I've been saying for years that teams need to incorporate the drop kick for the onside kick. Because one, I don't think that teams practice against it. And two, it adds that chaos in terms of how the ball is going to bounce. Yeah, it was perfect. That you miss. You try to simulate that as much as you can. Or you try to tee the ball up and kick it straight down to the ground and get a weird hop. But you're not going to get the absolute chaos that comes with a weirdly kicked drop kick. So I think more teams should do that. And it was executed perfectly. He had a chance to win the game, or he had a chance to go down, score some points at the end of the game. And I thought... I thought they might do it, honestly, after they recovered. It just kind of felt like the game was tilting that way a little bit. Speaker 3 (20:02) We didn't score an offensive touchdown the first 58 minutes of the game. We get one, get the onside kick, and we only need a field goal. Yeah. And, you know, holding penalty cost us. The end of the game management was terrible. It's a true freshman quarterback. That kind of stuff's going to happen. He held the ball too long a lot. His offensive line didn't help him. I mean, on the one hand, like, We played number one Texas, lost by three. Nobody was expecting Tennessee to go 12-0 this year. On the other hand, you got the game you needed from the number one team in the country in your building. You Speaker 2 (20:38) had the ball with a chance Speaker 3 (20:39) to win and did nothing with it. So it's, you know, depending on how you view your glass. Speaker 3 (20:49) Yeah, it
