Speaker 1 (0:02) This is a global production. V Speaker 2 (0:04) -Walled, it's Luanna and this podcast contains honest upfront opinions, rants, bants and general explicit content. But you know you love it. Guys, I know I ask you a lot, but please can you get us on Traitors? We are Speaker 3 (0:20) going on tour. next year. Speaker 2 (0:23) Nobody has the right in life to tell you what you do with your body and your mind or anything else. It just, it does come Speaker 3 (0:32) down to basic morality. It does. It does. But why do we lack that so much? Speaker 2 (0:37) We do need to. Whether you're a dad, a mum, a caregiver, a grandparent, an uncle. Speaker 3 (0:42) We've got to Speaker 2 (0:42) create Speaker 3 (0:42) children Speaker 2 (0:42) that are brave to stand up. Speaker 2 (0:52) high it also look listen Anna's in her pyjamas We're all a bit tired. This is a Monday morning record. We Speaker 3 (1:01) know you love these fresh, fresh off the back of our show. This is about Saturday, Speaker 2 (1:07) the big party. This is about as live as Speaker 3 (1:10) a Luana podcast can ever get. Good morning, guys. So many exciting things. Just so many. This is the morning after the night. but it was two nights ago, obviously, on Saturday. But here we all Speaker 2 (1:20) are. Morning, Lulu. Morning. Speaker 3 (1:21) I'm Sprightly, guys. I've ridden two horses. I've just been fitted for an outfit for my competition in Belgium this week by my tailor. My farrier has been. My vet is due to come. So the Downton Abbey. Speaker 2 (1:37) is in full swing. I'm in my McDonald's pyjamas. Homage to Lou. I'm loving it. And do you know what? She's that fucking tired and justifiably so that we said to Imo, we are not going to drag you into Chapneys 2 today. She's Speaker 3 (1:53) in her Speaker 2 (1:53) house. You can sit in your little bougie boudoir. Morning, Imogen. Morning. Now, Imo. Let's chat. Wait, just before we chat, Imo went out Speaker 3 (2:02) after our show. We were in no fit state. We got in our cars and went home. I ended up eating beans on toast with Kev at Speaker 2 (2:10) half past midnight in my kitchen. Actually, I want to talk about the deep... Obviously, guys, if you've been living in Speaker 3 (2:14) a barn... Speaker 2 (2:14) But Imo's knackered, Speaker 3 (2:15) sorry, because she went out till like Speaker 2 (2:17) 2 or 3am. Speaker 3 (2:18) Which we Speaker 2 (2:18) want to hear about. If you are just tuning in and you're thinking, what are they talking about? We obviously did. Luana, the big party, our massive show, two shows on Saturday night. Oh, Saturday night. It's only... 48 hours ago and this is the hangover episode. Just quickly guys, follow us now. If you're not following us on your favourite podcast platform and you haven't subscribed on YouTube yet, please do now. Hi guys. So yeah, sorry, so back to it. Guys, first of all, it was epic. It was amazing. So Speaker 3 (2:44) we Speaker 2 (2:44) did the show. Imo, let's just set the scene of, I'd like to say this is where probably a big personality analysis comes in on how we ended the night. So Imo, you did what? You went out till when? Speaker 1 (2:56) I got home at... 2, 2.30. Did you go to that karaoke bar? Speaker 3 (3:01) Yeah. So my other friend was in there and she was like, it's full of blue fannings in here. Where was it, Speaker 1 (3:08) that bar? It was literally just down the road. I Speaker 3 (3:11) did get a bit of FOMO, to be honest. And did my friends Ben and B go with you? Speaker 1 (3:16) Yeah. Speaker 2 (3:17) Oh, how much fun are they? Speaker 1 (3:20) Yeah, so much fun. Love them. Speaker 3 (3:23) I can't believe, but do you know what's funny? Sorry. So Ben is my friend. Ben is Carl Hester's partner. And if you don't know who Carl Hester is, he's our Olympic dress-up champion, Lou's idol, and also my mother's. But his husband Speaker 2 (3:36) was Speaker 3 (3:37) there. I don't think they're married, but they're as good as. My mother does not Speaker 2 (3:41) care for Luanna, but she cares Speaker 3 (3:42) for Carl Hester. That's all she was asking me yesterday. So, Speaker 2 (3:44) yeah, Speaker 3 (3:44) Ben came and he brought his friend Bea, who I actually hadn't met before. Lovely, lovely girl, but a... Big Lou Fanion. So massive shout out to Bea. And what cracked me up is before we went on stage, they all came backstage. And Bea was like, did that woman from the pod, you know, the one that you said it on the pod and she booked tickets and she's from California and she booked the tickets and then she got a court summons with her ex-husband and she sent in proof of buying your tickets that she couldn't go to court. And I was like. Bea, you've got a really good memory. And she jogged all our memory. She did. Anyway, partway through the show, Bea is then up on stage with us to do a bit of the show where we have audience participation. And part of this, which, by the way, was... absolutely manic. If you were there, you will know we will not be Speaker 2 (4:35) repeating this carnage. That's been struck off the Speaker 3 (4:38) list. Speaker 2 (4:38) But we did, Speaker 3 (4:38) we basically did a scavenger hunt that our teams, there was Team Anna and Team Lou and they had to do a scavenger hunt. I mean, on reflection, with 2,000 Speaker 2 (4:47) pissed people with only one set of stairs. And Speaker 3 (4:49) everyone trying to storm the stage. It was a bit chaotic. But part of this scavenger hunt was to find someone that had travelled the furthest to get there. Well... Bea remembered this story and we did this scavenger hunt where they go out into the audience and get someone. And who comes on stage but the lady from California with the court summons. And I was like, are you really? She was like, it's me. So it was actually Speaker 2 (5:15) one of my team was doing it. And when I was in the middle of trying to basically calm a riot that was about to kick off. So it kind of threw me for a minute because one of my team dragged her up and this lovely little lady. And she was just like, oh my God. I went, where are you from, California? She went, it's me. I went, what do you mean me? You know, when I'm like half an eye on this riot as well. And then she was like, I'm the one from the podcast. I can't remember her name now. I'm so sorry, lovely lady. But B then, obviously Speaker 3 (5:41) then Speaker 2 (5:41) I was like, B, Speaker 3 (5:42) B, come on. on stage and we had this moment of just us having this little reunion on stage with absolute chaos around us. But Bea was like buzzing. I was like, she is Speaker 2 (5:54) here, Bea! Honestly, it was just incredible. It was a brilliant show. But we just loved it. And if you came to the show, thank you. You Speaker 3 (6:03) really brought the energy. It's just so... And Carrie came, our friend Carrie. And she was like, girls, I love it. It's like the sisterhood. Everyone is just so... Speaker 2 (6:13) It's so Speaker 3 (6:13) amazing. And I saw a few posts about people that came on their own and then just made loads of friends. And that's what it's about. Speaker 2 (6:19) It is. And it's so nice to see it through new eyes as well. And also just thank you as well for everyone being so kind about our team. Our team works so bloody hard, honestly. And some of the girls that we brought on, actually two of my girls didn't even know what I did. Full disclosure, two of the team who were freshers on our one do some work with me around the childcare with the children. And they were like, I have to show you one of them, Lucy. She didn't know what I really did. Because Lucy often travels the world. She doesn't really, you know, she's not really, no. And there's a video of her when I'm coming out as Britney Spears. And Harriet's panned round and Lucy's just sat there with her mouth wide open going, what the hell? Like she had no idea. But you were all so lovely to our team. And thank you for coming. Thank you for all the loving. And also, thank you to Speaker 3 (7:12) The Real Speaker 2 (7:13) Greek. We have Speaker 3 (7:13) to give them a shout out. Because they always... feed us when we're on tour and they're so good the whole team was fed the food is always delicious from there that gear Ross do you know what they do the best chicken I Speaker 2 (7:25) liked Speaker 3 (7:25) a little halloumi Speaker 2 (7:26) wrap Speaker 3 (7:26) yeah Speaker 2 (7:26) chicken souvlaki with chippies in it and real Greek I Speaker 3 (7:30) had a Speaker 2 (7:30) nice Speaker 3 (7:30) Greek salad real Speaker 2 (7:31) Greek you have supported us for years since day dot they're so good so so grateful to you thank you for feeding our team you always deliver quite literally and the food is incredible so if you haven't been to the Real Greek guys when I say this not on Adderall Spawn it's not it's just a massive bloody thank you because they are incredible you can't be the good Greek it's in my blood it is what can I just say I'm trying to Speaker 3 (7:55) get my Speaker 2 (7:55) Greek passport Speaker 3 (7:56) actually are you well my dad's Cypriot so I'm trying to get a Cypriot passport so then I could ride for Cyprus that Speaker 2 (8:04) would be cool yeah You look very Cypriotic. Well, I am half Greek. Exactly. No, but you look, you do. People think Speaker 3 (8:11) I'm Jewish. I'm actually not Jewish. I just have a Jewish name because my first husband was Jewish and I never changed his name. I'm actually Greek and Italian. Guys, she's a hybrid. Speaker 2 (8:18) I'm a Heinz 57. Aren't we all though? Well, my Speaker 3 (8:22) dad's Greek. My mum is Italian, English and a bit of African. Yes, she is. Obviously, that's Speaker 2 (8:27) where my Speaker 3 (8:28) Afrikaan Speaker 2 (8:28) comes from. You've got West African in your bloodline. So Speaker 3 (8:32) I am basically, and there's Dutch as well in there. Because my great-granddad was African and Dutch. That's a weird mix. How do you get that mix back in the day? Speaker 2 (8:41) Do you Speaker 3 (8:41) know Speaker 2 (8:41) what? Heritage fascinates me. Isn't that weird? I've done Speaker 3 (8:45) my DNA. Oh, I won't do it. I don't want my DNA on record anywhere. No way. Did I not tell you what I am? Speaker 2 (8:52) No one's having Speaker 3 (8:52) me. No, what Speaker 2 (8:53) are you? Speaker 3 (8:54) Never told me. Why Speaker 2 (8:55) not? There's 30%, over a quarter, Swedish. Well, you are blonde Speaker 3 (9:01) and stuff. Speaker 2 (9:01) Which does make sense. Because I was always really interested why my kids came Speaker 3 (9:05) out so fair. Speaker 2 (9:05) What is your natural hair colour? Is it that blonde? Not this blonde, no. It's a bit ashy. But with a down, because Alex is really quite dark. And we've done his. He's like 75 % Southern Sicilian and Moroccan. So really quite dark jeans. So Moroccan's African. Yeah, yeah, because Sicily was invaded. So there's a lot of Greek, Moroccan. But Alex is like 75%, even though he has English genes as well, but it's such a strong gene in him. I was always so surprised when my children came out so fair. Yeah, because Al was really fair. Really fair. Enzo's a little bit more olive-y. But Speaker 3 (9:39) they don't look... Like Speaker 2 (9:41) their dad. Speaker 3 (9:41) No. It's Speaker 2 (9:42) really surprising. Speaker 3 (9:43) When Speaker 2 (9:43) I see Alex, I'm like, oh, he was around then. Speaker 3 (9:48) Quick point, where is Imo? Guys, we've had a bit of a technical fault and Imo was here at the start. She is now not here and we are continuing without her. She did Speaker 2 (9:56) actually just message saying she should have dragged her lazy arse actually into the studio. But we've had a bit of a tech issue. We've had a tech issue and we're cracking on. She's going for a shite. In Speaker 1 (10:04) true Speaker 2 (10:04) professional style. So she's just going to go for a shite and join us next week. Anyway, Speaker 3 (10:07) also, can we just say something very, very exciting launched on our socials this morning. If you're following us, you would have seen it. We are... Going on tour. Next year. Guys, Speaker 2 (10:20) we can now officially let you know that Luana Land is happening. And it's, yeah, 2027. We gave a little sneak peek at the weekend, but it is now officially on sale today. And we heard Speaker 3 (10:33) you. You keep moaning Speaker 2 (10:34) that we Speaker 3 (10:34) only ever do London. Don't worry. We are in Manchester on Friday the 18th of June at the O2 Apollo. The following day, Saturday night, 19th of June, we will be in Birmingham at the Symphony Hall. And then later on in the year, we'll give you a break for summer. Speaker 3 (11:31) I Speaker 2 (11:31) mean, that was a good bit of housekeeping. And of course, all of this will be on everythingluanna.com, our website. But we are so buzzing to see you guys. I'm not going to lie. I'll be a little bit more excited probably nearer the time. I'm really fucking tired today. Guys, we're not just saying this. You've got to get your tickets now and as soon as you can because... They're selling fast. They're selling fast. We've Speaker 3 (11:48) just Speaker 2 (11:48) bought tickets ourselves. We don't get free tickets to our own show. No, we're so respectful to each other. We buy them. So everythingluanna.com. We are only doing these three days. Are Speaker 3 (11:58) you Speaker 2 (11:58) bringing Alex? Andrew's coming Speaker 3 (12:00) to the Palladium. Speaker 2 (12:01) He bought Speaker 3 (12:01) eight tickets. He's so cute. I sent him the link before they went on sale. And then he messaged me back and he was like, I've just bought eight tickets. And I was like. Who for? Why? And he was like, I'm going to bring my mum, my dad. And then like a few of his friends. Dinner Speaker 2 (12:16) and Speaker 3 (12:16) a show. I was Speaker 2 (12:17) like, Speaker 3 (12:17) oh, you're going to come then. And he was like, obviously, I'm your number one fan. Oh, Speaker 2 (12:21) that's so cute. Well, my husband, I think, is the complete opposite. No, he will come. He was like, oh, I've been there before. He'll probably end up coming. You didn't get Speaker 3 (12:30) my Speaker 2 (12:30) ticket. No, you'll have to figure it out. But, well, I bought my four tickets. But, you know, it was so sweet because Papa Peter's going to come. He loves it, Papa Peter. But we've come up with a plan. Speaker 3 (12:40) Do you think Speaker 2 (12:40) your mum might Speaker 3 (12:40) come this time? Well, I was going Speaker 2 (12:41) to say to you, and I need to obviously just, you know, run this past, you Speaker 3 (12:44) know. Speaker 2 (12:44) She said if Carl has to come. If Carl has to come, she's in. No, we've come up with a plan as of yesterday. So the kids were then totally overexcited about, you know. Speaker 3 (12:53) Did you show them the Speaker 2 (12:54) videos of you? Yeah, well, yeah, they love it. But also they know the London Palladium, you know, we love our Manchester and we love our Birmingham. But the Palladium obviously is a really special home to us. And the kids have been, you know, for watching Panto and they are desperate. They can't come. No, no, of course they can't. I say you can't come. So what but what we've come up with a plan, which I think is quite a good idea is and it depends on how we get on. They would want to just come and see the theatre. They want to come backstage. So my mum then, who was like, no, darling, it's not quite my scene, but I'm thoroughly... So she said, tell you what. She went... I'll bring the children with your dad and we'll come and have a little look backstage if that's okay. She is then going to Speaker 3 (13:32) want Speaker 2 (13:32) to watch the show. Well, I might have to just have a little... No, because she'll have Speaker 3 (13:36) to Speaker 2 (13:36) take the kids home. So she said, I'll then take the children home. So she said, I'll leave your dad there. Speaker 3 (13:40) And then she said, Speaker 2 (13:41) I'll take the children home and then do their bedtime. But they can come in the day Speaker 3 (13:43) and watch the rehearsals, the kids. Yeah, that's what I think. So Speaker 2 (13:46) she'll sort of see the rehearsals. Do you remember when mine came that day to Speaker 3 (13:49) Radlet? Speaker 2 (13:50) Yeah. When we Speaker 3 (13:51) did Radlet. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaker 2 (13:52) And they came. Didn't the fucking dog come Speaker 3 (13:53) as well? Probably. So Speaker 2 (13:55) I think that's the plan. Because the old dear, she's pretty keen on going to the Palladium backstage as well, darling. It Speaker 3 (14:01) is very Speaker 2 (14:01) cool. Bruce Forsythe's buried under there, darling. Well, that's why. Like, Andrew Speaker 3 (14:05) always comes to my Palladium shows because he's like, I just grew up watching it. We all did. It's such an iconic Speaker 2 (14:10) play. Speaker 3 (14:10) So Speaker 2 (14:10) we grew Speaker 3 (14:10) up Saturday night at the Palladium. But I'm very buzzing about Manchester doing the O2 and Birmingham Symphony Hall. I mean, we've got some big, fat, epic Speaker 2 (14:19) venues. And actually, can we... We've Speaker 3 (14:21) gone Speaker 2 (14:21) hard this time. Can we say big up? Listen, we love you guys because when I did have a little sneaky peek at the website, Manchester, you are buying in your droves. So if you do live near Manchester or a little bit further north as well and want to come down to Manchester, if that's your nearest venue and Birmingham as well, please don't delay, guys, because those slightly more northern venues are absolutely getting rinsed with people buying tickets, which is incredible. So don't delay. Obviously, London is our OG as well. We love all of three of our venues. Speaker 3 (14:53) But Speaker 2 (14:53) yeah, London is where we're going to have the F &F, friends and family. And just want to say as well, just sort of wrapping up the big party. I mean, my goodness, so much goes into putting on this show. And just thank you Speaker 3 (15:03) again. Thank Speaker 2 (15:03) you to all our team. And Speaker 3 (15:05) to you, Im, you were amazing. And your dancers, your amazing dancers. They were so good. Speaker 2 (15:10) Yeah, it was. Do you think they'll want to come on tour? Or Speaker 3 (15:13) is Speaker 2 (15:13) it a bit much? And Speaker 3 (15:14) can I just do a massive shout out to Kev and May. Kev from Midnight Sky Events, who I met. doing Dixie's party, who basically just was Speaker 2 (15:24) amazing. Speaker 3 (15:24) He's now our right hand man. He's now Speaker 2 (15:26) like our logistics Speaker 3 (15:27) Kev. He was so good. We had quite a bit of stress on logistical things and Kev just kind of saved the day. Just sorted it. And his beautiful wife, May,
