So I started mentoring new agents coming into the business and I feel that is a talent that I never even realized that I had. I had to overcome my own adversities and I had to be creative. I had to be flexible. In doing that, I was able to help other people. And I think that's become my mission now. Speaker 4 (1:32) Welcome Speaker 2 (1:33) back to another episode of the Living Your Legacy podcast. For Inside Success, I am Ray Gutierrez. Joining me today is Liz Rogers. She is literally off the platform of her Women in Power episode. Liz, how'd it go? It Speaker 1 (1:48) went well. Speaker 2 (1:48) Yeah, I'm sure. Speaker 1 (1:49) Yeah, it went well. I enjoyed it. Right Speaker 2 (1:51) on. Happy Friday. That was fun. What will we learn about you in your Women in Power episode, Liz? Speaker 1 (1:56) Well, other than this is the flattest my hair has ever been because I'm in Florida with humidity weather. I just came from Virginia. I'm enjoying it. I'm enjoying all of this. What Speaker 2 (2:07) makes you a powerful woman? Speaker 1 (2:08) Being a woman in power, what it means to me is learning how to overcome adversities, learning how to be flexible through life's challenges because everyone has them. I'm not the only one with life challenges. But not everyone knows how to navigate them and troubleshoot. And some people just get overwhelmed by their challenges. I like mentoring people. I like helping people in business. It's very rewarding to me to help people. And so I started mentoring new agents coming into the business. And I feel that that is a talent that I never even realized that I had. It came about through adversity. I had to overcome my own adversities and I had to be creative. I had to be flexible. And in doing that, I was able to help other people. And I think that's become my mission now. Speaker 2 (3:09) It's amazing that you are coaching new agents onto the field because a lot of my folks, a lot of my friends that went to high school with me actually are agents here in Miami. And I see their social media. And I know a lot of it is 80-20, 80 % is a theatrics living this life of amazing luxury. And you're really creating a funnel to sell properties. But that 20 % is a little bit of a mystery where it's like, how did you end up doing that? A lot of folks want to live this lavish lifestyle, want to know how to sell properties, know the guff, know the personality. And you coach all this. That's amazing. What is your common client? Is it someone fresh out of high school, dropouts, folks that have masters and they kind of just want to pivot into a new career? I Speaker 1 (3:47) think a lot of people who have been in the customer service industry, I think they do the best because connecting with other people, connecting with your clients, really understanding them. kind of comes from the customer service industry. If you're working a nine to five in an office, you're not surrounded by people and you don't interact with people a lot, you're going to struggle a little bit more. Now, the real estate career, I mean, we create this image of it being very glamorous. And I can literally be on a boat taking beautiful selfies and beautiful scenery. And I've done it many times. And I sure all of my friends and family probably think I'm living a life of just She doesn't work. What is she doing? But they don't see behind the scenes 24-7 on call. They don't see navigating a client who's ready to jump off the top of a building because they're so stressed out. And you're talking them down off a cliff because they really can't handle stress because moving is a stressful
