Speaker 2 (0:00) For many of us, going further isn't a choice. It's a feeling we can't ignore because ambition has a way of outgrowing where it began. Speaker 2 (0:11) Turning dreams into direction. Speaker 2 (0:17) Every journey brings us closer to the life we imagine. Speaker 2 (0:23) So, where will your journey take you? Etihad. Beyond Borders. Speaker 1 (0:29) Welcome back to the Law of Attraction Secrets Podcast. I'm your host, Natasha Graziano. We are still in the amazing city of Miami with the most amazing guests. As you've seen over the last few weeks, we have had some of the most incredible minds on planet Earth on this show. And today we have another incredible entrepreneur. This guy is called Joe Kimler. Joe Kimler is an entrepreneur. founder of For the Small Business and high-performance sales strategist who helps people transform adversity into opportunity through communication, psychology, can't wait to get into that, identity, can't wait to get into that, and value creation. Welcome to the show, Joe Kimler. Thank Speaker 3 (1:10) you for having me. I'm so excited. Speaker 1 (1:12) I'm so excited to have you here. You look great. You smell great. You have a great energy. And we've had a bit of time off camera before we've been here. And you've really shown me someone who can get through adversity. Speaker 3 (1:24) Yeah. You're Speaker 1 (1:25) someone who is really the law of attraction. You don't ever allow anything to throw you off. You get right back up. Speaker 3 (1:32) It means a lot. Speaker 1 (1:33) And I think that that is at the forefront of being an entrepreneur. It's not about how many times you fall down. It's about how many times you get back up. True? Speaker 3 (1:40) Period. Speaker 1 (1:41) And I feel like you are a great... Example of that. Thank you. So I want to talk about becoming someone, the opportunities chase. What does it mean to become someone opportunities naturally find? Speaker 3 (1:55) I think it's believing in yourself. It's really understanding that there's value everywhere. So it starts with one conversation and the next conversation. And then before you know it, you'll be able to create that value. It does start with yourself. Speaker 1 (2:13) So true. Do you work on you? Do you feel like the inside is as important as the outside? Speaker 3 (2:22) Yeah, I think the inside is way, is even way more important than the outside. Absolutely. Speaker 1 (2:26) Do you have habits that you like to do? Like I love to have it stacked. So every morning I go in my garden. and I speak about this often, I go outside and I do habit stacking. I don't have time to do a Qigong class and then do a yoga class and then do another. I do everything all in one. So I go outside naked in my garden, barefoot in the grass, so I'm grounding. I'm getting the vitamin D onto my full body and I'm doing Qigong. I'm habit stacking three, four things. And that for me is my morning ritual. And then I give thanks, like, thank you, God. I'm so grateful for this. I'm so grateful for my children. I'm so grateful for, and I just count them out, right? Speaker 2 (3:03) Yeah. Speaker 1 (3:03) What about you? Like, what do you do that takes you from where you are to feeling strong-minded, resilient every day? Speaker 3 (3:15) I do a lot of grounding as well. Something that has really changed and watching a lot of your content actually has helped me. Is speaking into existence. So one thing I love doing is looking at myself in the mirror, telling myself that I'm good looking, that great opportunities will come to me and to not hold back today, to give everything that I got. So I do that every time, every time I wake up in the morning. So five minutes to do a little bit of grounding because that's very, very important physically and then mentally talking to myself in the mirror and telling me these, telling myself these things. Speaker 1 (3:51) Beautiful. Why do you believe communication is one of the highest paying skills in the world? Speaker 3 (3:59) Because every great opportunity starts with a conversation. So if you can communicate your values, you can communicate what you love to do, then you'll always be able to return. They'll always come back to you. So because everything starts with a conversation, I believe communication is the highest paying skill in the world. Speaker 1 (4:23) I love that. What separates someone who can sell? from someone who people actually trust? Speaker 3 (4:30) I think people look at sales as a short-term thing. They want to close the deal. They want to just get the next partner. They want to just create an opportunity that may not actually exist. You got to build rapport. That's cliche. But you want to make sure that you are looking long-term. You want to provide long-term value. So how does this person, how does this company benefit for me in the long term? That's what you have to ask yourself. Speaker 1 (5:00) So good. Tell me a bit about what it is you do for our audience who don't know you, help people understand all these amazing things that you do. If you're in an elevator right now, give us that answer. Speaker 3 (5:10) Sure, sure. So my name is Joseph Kimler. I am the founder for The Small Business. And our number one goal is to help small businesses find overlooked opportunities and financial gain. Speaker 1 (5:25) So beautiful. Love it. So how did mastering sales and psychology for you change the trajectory of your life? Speaker 3 (5:35) So working in customer service is really where it started. You know, for now decades have been sales operations and events management. And I realized that you have to be good at one thing to be able to do anything in this world. And that's sales. Speaker 1 (5:53) So good. And so true. If you aren't good at sales, you will never be able to sell your product. Speaker 3 (5:59) Yeah, exactly. If you Speaker 1 (6:00) aren't good at sales, you'll never do business. Correct. You have to master the art of sales and psychology. Are there any books that you particularly love to read which have helped you with that? Speaker 3 (6:12) Think and grow rich. Me too. Yeah. Yeah. I also like how to win friends and influence people and the seven habits of a highly effective person. Speaker 1 (6:24) Love that. I feel like my book, Be It So You Become It, combined with Think and Grow Rich, is the answer to feeling your best, getting confident, and I Speaker 3 (6:34) really Speaker 1 (6:35) want to give you one. I think I have one with me for you. I'd love it. I'm going to give it to you. Let's do it. I haven't signed it, but I need to. But I feel like it's that. on the side, you know, the bed stand kind of open it to a page. Boom. It gives you the answer that you need. It's like motivational, inspirational, like my own words in the book. And also when you listen to the audio book, you get the meditation. You'd love that. Yeah. Speaker 3 (7:00) I Speaker 1 (7:00) feel like that would be so good. I need to do more Speaker 3 (7:02) meditating, honestly. Oh, really? Yeah. I think that's something I've been missing out on. Speaker 1 (7:05) Right, right, right. Okay. Turning adversity into advantage. How did growing up around poverty, addiction, and instability shape you. Speaker 3 (7:16) Well, it taught me a lot of lessons. It taught me to stop playing in the victim role. I think I victimized myself too many times growing up, believing that that's where I'm going to stay and stay stuck. So overcoming that adversity, I realized that you have to change your mindset. You're not going to stay stuck forever unless you believe it. So it's all about. who you believe you are as a person and shaping that identity. It doesn't matter where you come from. You can pretty much do anything you want in this world. Speaker 1 (7:54) Okay, awesome. Wow, I like that. I want to lean into that for a second. You can pretty much do anything you want. The truth is, if you believe in yourself, you can achieve anything. Speaker 3 (8:03) If Speaker 1 (8:04) you believe in your identity, it doesn't matter whether you are there or not yet. It's who you believe you are. It doesn't matter whether it's true or not. It's who you believe you are. I was not a millionaire before I made a million dollars. I had not done anything in my life before I got to where I am. I... I decided I was her before I got there. I decided I am a badass. I'm a multimillionaire and I am going to run an empire and I'm going to be famous as fuck for it. And I'm going to be so good at what I do ahead of being there. And I have this resilience and I have this mindset of never giving up and always winning. And that is how I got to where I am. Be it till you become it. Speaker 3 (8:45) Be it till you become it. Literally. You become Speaker 1 (8:47) the version that you are today. Speaker 3 (8:50) Yeah. Speaker 1 (8:51) So let's talk about identity as we're right here anyway. What does identity mean to you? Speaker 3 (8:59) Identity means to me that no matter where you come from or what has stopped you from being you in the past, it doesn't define your future. So identity to me is, Speaker 3 (9:14) Pretty much what you said. You are who you are, but you can become something greater than you even realize. So you got to speak it into existence every day. Speaker 1 (9:25) So good. How did you redesign who you were at that breaking point? Speaker 3 (9:31) Well, I had to know that my back's against the wall. I had to know that I'm going through adversity, that there's Speaker 2 (9:38) a Speaker 3 (9:38) lot of negativity in my life. And I want to remove that negativity and I want to be around positivity. You know, an example is living, growing up in Detroit. It's one of the hardest cities in the world to make it out of. And then seeing all these prosperous opportunities, seeing the people you can be involved with, just simply. making a move from one city to the next down to Miami, that's kind of an example of, you know, how you can make it. Speaker 1 (10:07) That's so beautiful. Speaker 1 (10:10) Where was the moment where you decided that your environment would not define your future? Speaker 3 (10:18) Well, when I was in elementary school for fourth and fifth grade, I did a lot of panhandling with my mom. We basically survived off of panhandling for a few months. What Speaker 1 (10:35) is panhandling? Speaker 3 (10:36) It's begging on the street. Yeah. Speaker 3 (10:41) So I think that's what made me realize. Yeah, with signs and everything, you know, we would tear up my shirts. We would,
