Heather MacDonald. Juicy Scoop. Speaker 4 (0:31) Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. I have some really exciting news. Our guests today are your favorites. We've been a throuple now going, committed wise, about four years. I'm here with Brandi Howard and Julie Goldman, stars of Dumb Gay Politics podcast and Patreon's dynamic comedic duo. Speaker 4 (0:57) Yesterday, it came through. It did. We got it. And we are the proud thruple parents of a beautiful little girl. My nip just took to a mouth like a duck to water. And I am just breastfeeding her right now. And the story was like any other adoption story. It's such a crazy. route. Can you want to explain what happened, Julie? Well, Speaker 2 (1:27) it's a journey that we've all been, you know, cause you, you want to take your, um, commitment to the next level. Right. Cause we're not just a throuple, we're also a family. Yeah. And, um, well, basically what happened was I was at Target. Yeah. And, um, and as we know, we, you know, we enjoy watching also other families on Instagram enjoy their, uh, babies. Speaker 4 (1:49) Babies, you know, that, um, You know, all the struggles that struggle, the struggles that you have waking up in the middle of night. Yep. To a doll's cry. To a doll's cry. Yes. Speaker 2 (2:02) And feeding them, taking them to Disneyland. Having to Speaker 4 (2:05) record a podcast. Right. During feeding hour. Exactly. Which Speaker 2 (2:09) is Speaker 4 (2:09) what's happening right here. I've got our baby just on my nip right now. And it's Speaker 2 (2:14) incredible that she's taking to you. And you know, the thing is, I was buying it. I went to Target to get a hand mixer, deodorant and face wash. And came Speaker 4 (2:21) home as a Speaker 3 (2:22) mother. You Speaker 4 (2:23) know. Speaker 3 (2:23) Three Speaker 2 (2:24) mothers. And you Speaker 3 (2:24) know what? We're so thankful for Sterling. Sterling. Speaker 4 (2:29) I love that name. Sterling is a they them. Sure. Because we don't know. We Speaker 3 (2:35) don't know. Well, Speaker 4 (2:36) really. We Speaker 3 (2:36) don't Speaker 4 (2:36) know and we're going to let Sterling decide. I Speaker 3 (2:38) mean, Speaker 4 (2:38) you did Speaker 3 (2:38) already misgender her at the beginning. Right. We're calling her a girl. Speaker 4 (2:43) So if she's Speaker 1 (2:44) a Speaker 4 (2:44) thing, Speaker 2 (2:44) they are themselves. Okay. Speaker 4 (2:46) Right. Okay. Right. What I love about this doll that's available at Target is they know that this is a whole thing. Let me put my boob back. Girl. They know that it's a whole thing that's happening. That people are like, I want to pretend I'm a mom. Not when I'm five. Not when I'm seven. But when I'm 47. Speaker 4 (3:09) Let me hold the baby. Right now we have to do the burping. Do the burping. Speaker 2 (3:13) Do the burping. Speaker 4 (3:13) Come on, pumpkin. Isn't she heavy? She is. She is the weight of a newborn. Like as I was holding her, my arms started to get, and I was like, I need the little half circle crescent pillow. Speaker 2 (3:25) But that's what you want. Speaker 4 (3:26) Yeah. That's what you want. You want that. But I'm going to let you go. Stop. Stop. She has a little bit of a cold. There's actually a slight snot coming from her nose. Stop it. Okay. You're good. You're good. You're good. Speaker 3 (3:40) Watch Speaker 4 (3:41) the head. Watch the head. Speaker 3 (3:42) Her eyebrows are really, they came in. Her eyebrows. Speaker 4 (3:48) Now I'm going Speaker 3 (3:48) to do that lady's voice. Speaker 4 (3:49) Come on, Sterling. Say hi to your other mom. Oh. Why are you being such a fussy one? Why are you being fussy? Mommy Speaker 2 (3:58) loves you. Speaker 4 (3:58) Okay. Where's Speaker 2 (4:00) your older sister? Where is she? Do you see Speaker 4 (4:02) her? She had an accident last night. I have to change the sheets. Put the mattress out for the whole neighborhood to see that she is a naughty bun. Yeah, we have to replace her whole leg. That's Speaker 3 (4:12) what Speaker 4 (4:12) kills me about the fake moms is that they like, it's like the kids are bad. They're stressful. They're going through shit. And she's just like. Did you forget to do your assignment last night? My God, I didn't want to wake up at 9. I didn't want to go out to Michael's at 9 p.m. to work on your project. Come on, come on, sleepyhead. It's so crazy. What's Speaker 2 (4:37) weird about it, it's like, well, you know, like when you're holding a microphone, even as a costume, you end up, and this will happen in Girl Strip, you end up talking into the microphone just to everyone because it's just... Even if it doesn't work. Speaker 3 (4:49) Even if it doesn't Speaker 2 (4:50) work. I do feel like I'm holding a baby. Yes. It's heavy. Why am I doing this? I'm not even, I'm doing it on my Speaker 3 (4:56) own. Speaker 2 (4:56) It's natural. Can I ask you guys just real quick? It's Speaker 3 (4:59) really, it's an either or. Speaker 4 (5:00) Yeah. Speaker 3 (5:02) Were Speaker 4 (5:02) you a, listen, Julie wants to put it on her boobs so badly. No, she's got it while she's eating, so she has to burp. The fact that you are lactated naturally just when you Speaker 3 (5:12) saw Sterling. Speaker 4 (5:13) Yeah. Were Speaker 3 (5:15) you a Barbie or a baby Speaker 4 (5:17) doll kid? Speaker 4 (5:19) I actually was not that Barbie. That's why I did Barbies later in life. I always wanted to be the mom. Speaker 2 (5:27) Like being Speaker 4 (5:27) the youngest of five, like if a friend had like a younger sibling, I was like, I cannot believe you have a baby in a crib. Like this is like amazing. So I liked the baby. I also wasn't a successful single mom. Like I had to go on the bus. Like in my stories, I had to take the baby on a bus. Speaker 2 (5:45) Oh, you're a struggling single mom. I was a struggling single mom. Doesn't mean you weren't successful. Did it all for herself. You like, you were like, did it. You like struggled, but overcame and you did it. Speaker 4 (5:53) Yeah. Speaker 2 (5:53) Yeah. Important announcement. Speaker 4 (5:55) I will be at Cobbs this Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd in. at Cobb's Comedy Club, two shows a night, an early one and a nine o'clock one. So please get your tickets at heathermcdolland.net. Then Desert Ridge, October 9th and 10th. And everything is at heathermcdolland.net. San Diego, November 14th with Chris Frangiolla. Okay. My Speaker 3 (6:18) parents went to buy a home. And of course, being the wealthy individuals that we were, it was a track home. And it was, you had a choice of four. models. So you'd go in before. And the one that I ultimately made them get, which is of course the most expensive one, I just felt it as a child, but it had a nursery and it had a crib. And I don't know if I thought... It was just a staged Speaker 4 (6:45) house. That was going in. Yeah. It Speaker 3 (6:47) wasn't even, it wasn't even, it was just a model. It was like fake. I did. I think a baby came with it. Did I think a crib came with it? I, you know, I would do Barbies and I'd probably be like a little pervy with the Barbies and I'd always cut their hair and they were Speaker 4 (7:00) always fucking for Speaker 3 (7:00) two seconds. You're like, Hey, Speaker 4 (7:02) sexy or whatever. But then you Speaker 3 (7:03) lose interest. I was always doing like baby dolls. Always. Yeah. Speaker 2 (7:09) Now, Julie, you're going to say you did He-Man or what are you going to Speaker 3 (7:11) say? Speaker 2 (7:11) I mean, it's pretty cliche, but I did like Weeble Wobbles and, you know, Matchbox Cars. I didn't do dolls. I did everything about Speaker 3 (7:23) that. But Speaker 2 (7:23) this feels so natural to you. Look. Babies love me like cats. Speaker 4 (7:27) Look at how you're patting. I'll be a good dad. Listen, we have got to get back to work. Okay. So I'm sorry, but you're just going to... No one's holding the head. That's fine. Hopefully she'll be good. Hopefully she'll be good. She's Speaker 1 (7:37) going Speaker 4 (7:37) to sit next to me. Speaker 1 (7:38) Scooter there. Hey, Speaker 4 (7:38) Sterling. We'll see you. That's what she used to do with you, Joy. She's Speaker 1 (7:41) going to sit next to me. Good. Speaker 4 (7:43) Let's hop into like a juicy topic. Then we get into some more personal stuff because we Speaker 2 (7:46) have Speaker 4 (7:46) other personal stuff that we want to share with you guys. Okay. It's very exciting. Speaker 2 (7:50) This is a story for Julie. And I Speaker 4 (7:53) saved it. It happened last week. I don't know if you guys heard about it, but it is true. There is a lesbian bar. There's still a Speaker 2 (8:00) lesbian bar? Speaker 4 (8:01) There is. I can't believe that. Well, they have been struggling for years. Oh, because that might be the last one. In fact, the owner has to live in her car just to keep this open. But one of the things that made this lesbian bar, you know, keep its patrons is it. had a strict policy that you had to wear a what do you call not a lot no but the what's the heart what's the most extreme n9 an n9 face mask to enter no it's happening now you still Speaker 3 (8:33) every Speaker 4 (8:34) night everybody that goes to this bar has to wear a n95 an n95 mask okay so the whole night the whole night everybody any night Every night. That is so embarrassing. Because I guess, okay, so then. I just need to interject. Yes. Speaker 3 (8:52) This is going to be a journey, a very wonderful, beautiful journey. We all, it's going to be a pronoun hell. Okay. It's going to be a pronoun landmine. Okay. One in which we've all never experienced. So let's just go into it knowing we don't know. We're meeting these people for the first time. You know, if you go by the pronoun it or it's. I'm just going by she. We're Speaker 4 (9:19) out Speaker 3 (9:19) of nowhere. Speaker 4 (9:20) Lesbian. Speaker 3 (9:20) Okay. That's what we're going to do. Speaker 4 (9:22) So the woman who owns it, who has to live in her car because she can barely keep it open, decides, hey. On Saturday night, we're going to have nine, what is it again? 95, N95 mask optional Speaker 3 (9:40) night. Well, let me just say, when it first opened, and this is 2025, okay? This wasn't 2020. This opened in 2025? Yes. It's two hours from Boston. Where is it? Do we know? Greenville, Greenwich, Green something. Okay. All right. So it's in Western Mass. She said. Oh, my God. I'm going to, it was three, it was not, they said. Yeah. There was three of, oh, three owners. They decided they were going to do a bar that was open five nights a week or whatever. And that it was supposed to be for immunocompromised people. Lesbians. It's Speaker 4 (10:17) a lesbian bar. However, so they had. How many people are that ill that want to go get fresh pussy every night? I mean, like. Like Speaker 3 (10:27) if you're that worried about like germs, I don't think you should be meeting strangers in a bar and drinking alcohol. Heather brings up a great point. If you hear, and here it is, if you can't walk into a bar without wearing a mask, how can you munch box? Right. Mask free. Yeah. Speaker 4 (10:46) Because now you're going into heaven. Yeah. Yeah. It's Speaker 3 (10:50) dirty in heaven. It's got a lot of game. So basically. Right. Now we're doing a woman. So it was five nights a week. M or Speaker 4 (11:00) N? Speaker 3 (11:01) N95. N95. The Speaker 4 (11:02) kind that like fucks up your face, like leaves a mark under your face. It's Speaker 3 (11:06) not Speaker 4 (11:06) even going to look good. Once you find, you know, and then when the girl's going down on you, you look down and it's still like creased, you know, from, yeah, Speaker 2 (11:14) it's creased. It's also a pussy eating palace. Like it's become like a place you just go in there. And you just do it in there. So Speaker 3 (11:21) the thing was for everyone immunocompromised. It was accessibility. It was all the things. Now, Heather's jumping too. It was obviously going bankrupt. Right. Because who's having Speaker 4 (11:33) fun? No one. And so they suggested. They said, hey, we're going to just change it to a mask optional venue just one night a week. Just one night a week. And the people went. insane. They were like, how dare you? And this is, you're an ableist and I'm on disability and I can't work. And it's the one place I felt comfortable going. And you're taking it away from us to open it up to ableists who don't care about the disabled. And it was just this huge thing. And other people were like, hey, I get it. You know, they had, this was their one place. But the woman who's working seven days a week in a mask. And living in her car was like, maybe I could get four to five other people that don't Speaker 3 (12:22) want Speaker 4 (12:22) to wear a mask to buy a screwdriver. Speaker 3 (12:25) Like, what the hell? How many tequila sunrises are you really getting down with the huge thing with the breathing hole? Are Speaker 4 (12:32) you putting a straw up the mask? I mean, they... I don't know how it ended. Okay, here's how it goes. Okay. I was watching all last week and I was seeing the people that were angry. I saw the people... mocking it. I saw the people that were like, just like me, like confused. And it just kept popping up and it was just fascinating, you know, to see these people. It's actually truly Speaker 3 (12:58) unbelievable and has been kept out of Julie's algorithm. I think because, um, perhaps Mark Zuckerberg. Yes. Someone has like done a like secret 51 50 or whatever the thing is. And like, she might actually like, uh, lose her life. So basically. they all went up in arms. Meanwhile, we're assuming it's five, six people because she's going bankrupt. Yeah, yeah. Two other owners have disappeared. Okay. Then they have a community. Okay, no, no, no. The first thing is they go, they release an Instagram post. They go, hey, all of our disabled queens, we are, Speaker 1 (13:37) we are, Speaker 3 (13:41) We're going to, we have to, we're struggling financially. And it's not audio, okay? Yeah. It's written text. Okay. You know, the Speaker 4 (13:49) chestnut on Speaker 3 (13:49) the note. Yeah, Speaker 4 (13:50) yeah. Speaker 3 (13:50) So we're going to go to one night a week. But of course, it was Saturday. And I could concur, maybe don't do the best night of the week. I mean, especially when you're, you know, that sick. That's the night that you reserve to party in Speaker 4 (14:05) a Speaker 3 (14:05) mask, I guess. You're working from home every other day of the week. Like, make the non-mask night. Wednesday. So they said, we're going to do Saturdays one. And they had consulted the like LGBTQ, like chamber of commerce. Okay. How can we survive? Cause I'm living in my truck. The other two owners have disappeared. I'm day to day. I'm carrying ice buckets. They said, do Saturday, no masks. Speaker 4 (14:29) How are you going to hook Speaker 3 (14:30) up with someone in a mask? By the way, Speaker 4 (14:31) I haven't thought people are so hot. I'm like, Whoa, that was a mistake. Do you know how many? bad Halloweens I had before I was married, thinking that I was like, gonna meet this hot guy that was like Wolverine or something. I don't know. And then, you know, they take off the mask and the eye is like going sideways or something. And you're like, now you're on this awkward date with someone that you made out with all night. Same thing. It's a, it's a major catfish night. Girls are wearing wigs and costumes, major cap Speaker 3 (14:59) corsets. And, um, I have, um, I found love in the club with many a man with a hat on as a child, as a young adult. Yeah, I hope you weren't in a club as a child. No, I was a young adult, but I consider that children. And then when the hat comes off, I'm like, huh. Not the hairline I was expecting. Right, no. Not at all. Speaker 4 (15:18) Yeah. Speaker 3 (17:33) So Speaker 4 (17:33) they Speaker 3 (17:35) consult the LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce. They say have one night. The night is Saturday. They announce, hey, our disabled queens, no, we're going to do no mass night on Saturday. We're so sorry. But every other night of the week where we're making seven cents on our, you know, mojitos is there for you. Because they're immunocompromised. They're, you know, whatever. They have disabilities, whatever it is. They go freak out, like you said. Yeah. They then. the owners are the one from the truck. I just want to side note here. One of the owners who stepped to the back did go to clown Speaker 4 (18:15) school. So that's a whole nother thing where that person- Yeah, that was another career that didn't work out. Go on. Speaker 3 (18:20) How hard is it to become a clown? I think quite hard. So she holds a, she apologizes for the apology video, which is text, remember? They then attack her because She didn't make the text accessibility, Speaker 4 (18:37) accessible for people that are blind. Yeah, couldn't. So Speaker 3 (18:43) you're apologizing to people who can see. You're apologizing to disabled people, but you're not making the post disability friendly. So that happens. So then this poor broken down person holds a community gathering, which is half virtual Speaker 4 (19:02) and half in person. And I'm thinking, you can't even get six people Speaker 3 (19:05) at the club in a night at the bar. But now we've got, you know, however many people at this gathering. Yeah. Speaker 4 (19:11) One of the wonderful, most wonderful Speaker 3 (19:14) parts of the gathering, while, you know, this person cried, this owner, I think her name might be Meredith something, their name. Somebody went on afterward and said, you know what? It was white, they, them, tears. You guys. Speaker 4 (19:33) They're criticizing the people that were, because the person who lives in her truck was a, who wanted to let a couple people have a drink without a N95 mask on, happened to also be a white person. They Speaker 3 (19:46) were Speaker 4 (19:46) weaponizing their white, they, them, tears. Okay. Okay. Speaker 3 (19:49) So it doesn't stop. Yeah. Incredible. So everyone is furious. Not only about the post that you didn't make accessible for the visually impaired. Now we've got white they them tears. And where we're now at now. Okay. Yeah. Is that the UTA represents. UTA the agent? Yes. Okay. Somehow represents. Oh, the article came out in the like Washington Post or the New York Times. Okay. UTA represents. that paper okay for Speaker 4 (20:22) their Speaker 3 (20:23) film rights okay so Speaker 4 (20:25) now we Speaker 3 (20:26) are at this whole story being now adapted whether it be a scripted or of course a netflix doc that will come immediately where you sit in the chair um immediately they've already adapted these rights to uta Speaker 4 (20:42) For this. I honestly don't think there's enough there for a movie or a show, maybe a one-off Hulu half an hour impact thing, but that's about it because Speaker 3 (20:51) it's like, you know, okay. Tell me what Speaker 2 (20:54) you Speaker 4 (20:55) think. Okay. I'm really Speaker 2 (20:57) going Speaker 3 (20:57) to try and keep it together. Speaker 2 (20:59) Okay. So first of all, I want to say I am from Massachusetts. I'm assuming this is in Western Mass. I'm not sure if it says where it is. That means that Western Massachusetts probably has the highest percentage of lesbians in the entire state. Oh my God, Speaker 4 (21:12) I never knew that. Speaker 2 (21:14) That's Northampton. That's Smith College. That's UMass Amherst. All the girl, all the traditionally women college only. Are Western Massachusetts. Oh, Speaker 4 (21:22) good Speaker 2 (21:22) to know. And Northampton particularly is probably in, I mean, I would say probably in the United States has, it's just like a lesbian city. So with that said. In the course of the last 10 years alone, lesbian bars in general have all disappeared. They have all closed. We can't make money. Lesbians are not. historically the ones to go out. Right. They don't have fun. They're annoying. They like to Speaker 3 (21:49) stay home and wash Speaker 2 (21:51) their different animals. Meanwhile, gay bars thriving. Gay bars thriving. Gay men. Gay men go out. They party. They do drugs. They have sex indiscriminately. They Speaker 4 (21:59) have jobs. Speaker 2 (22:00) They make money. That's right. Speaker 4 (22:02) They're alcoholics. All of it. They're hot. Said with all love. Speaker 2 (22:05) Lesbians, as we know, and listen, and I'm going to stand by everything I say here. Speaker 2 (22:11) You know, lesbians are, as women, nesting, girlfriends, home life. Building furniture at home on a Tuesday night. Creating duct tape from scratch. Just doing all of the things. Yeah. But of course, there's been lesbian bars and people have gone to them. But they have, there's really none left. So to hear that this was even there was exciting. Now to hear that, of course, the lesbian community, which is also historically. loves to sabotage themselves and loves to destroy their own lives. So, and of course, we have to take down whether, I don't know what their pronouns are or whatever, but I'm just going to go with being a woman. This woman, and maybe there were three of them, who tried to do something in the community and tried to do a lesbian bar where there are none of, and of course, it needed to be completely and absolutely destroyed. And I just want to say, ableist, disabled, not disabled, whatever. Have some fucking like great, what's, you know, great gratitude that these people tried to put a bar together. Two of them are gone and one lives in her truck. What you should be doing is giving her money to keep the bar going. But instead, what you're doing is calling her names and doing all this bullshit because you can't stand for one second to like, I don't even know. You can't stand for what? To have. Well, I'm Speaker 4 (23:29) manifesting mama. I'm manifesting that if this is a documentary where you need a commentator, hello, please call Bostonian, Massachusetts, lesbianism. That's right. She does Speaker 3 (23:44) wear glasses. I do. Speaker 4 (23:46) So she's Speaker 2 (23:46) not Speaker 3 (23:46) completely abled. You know what? You probably couldn't have read the post. Speaker 2 (23:50) I probably couldn't. But also, why are we... You get one night, one night where you're wearing a mask. You should be grateful for just having one night where you get to all go be having an immuno party. It's a good point. Speaker 4 (24:00) This is where people say they're going to move on. It's just... The entitlement of people today. It's unreal. Everyone feels they're totally entitled to have something that isn't theirs to have. It's Speaker 2 (24:10) a Speaker 4 (24:10) private establishment. Like it's, you know, it's one thing if it was the park down the street and you're like, fuck, you know, it's so disgusting. I can't even walk my kid. Yeah, I think you can gripe about that. That's your park. That's your tax dollars. This is just someone else's business that wants to change it. Like too fucking bad. You do have a right to complain, but. You sound like an Speaker 2 (24:29) entitled. Yes. You all sound like entitled fucking assholes. Every single one of you. And I'm looking at you. How dare you try and take a lesbian bar down, take a lesbian bar down. They don't exist. We have nothing now. Lesbians have zero. And we have fought tooth and nail for years and years and years just to keep what we have. And you want to take it down? Give the bitch some money. Keep the bar open. Make it for every lesbian identified whatever on the planet. Have it be the place. You get one night. That's what you get. You get one night where you can wear your mask and fucking be blind. Yeah, I don't know why they wouldn't do it the other Speaker 4 (25:02) way around. Have it all be regular. I Speaker 2 (25:04) don't know. And Speaker 4 (25:04) then the one night, that's your night. You can't survive on that. Ask Speaker
