Speaker 3 (0:00) I would like to apologize to everybody for constantly focusing on one particular senator from Missouri, Josh Hawley. I have been remiss and negligent and not browbeating Eric Schmidt and bringing him to your attention, but he brought himself to the attention of the entire world yesterday. And this is just a spectacular. faceplant for the ages. You know, everybody in the MAGA regime is really doing everything they can do to execute Donald Trump's plan of going after people who sought law and order against Trump and all of the criminals that tried to overthrow an election. So they hauled Jack Smith in to the Senate yesterday. And here's what happened. Play the clip. Speaker 4 (0:50) An NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and the Atlanta Hawks on February 3rd, 2024. What city would that be in? Atlanta. No. Okay. So your testimony today is that you did not go to a Hawks game on February 3rd, 2024. Is that correct? I have no recollection of that. Let me just give you a little context. The day before Fannie Willis came clean with her affair with the prosecutor, you know, the Atlanta prosecutor that was also trying to get Trump. The next day, were you in Atlanta? Speaker 4 (1:21) I do not believe so. Did you ever go to Atlanta during your time as special counsel? Speaker 6 (1:30) I really don't think so. It's possible I flew through the Atlanta airport on the way to Florida, but I do not have a recollection of going to Atlanta. I definitely did not Speaker 4 (1:42) go to a Hawks game. I'm sure of that. You may think you're a hero in this story, but let me tell you something. You're the villain. You will go down as a total dirtbag. I recall going to Speaker 6 (1:54) a University of Maryland basketball game where Caitlin Clark was playing. Speaker 6 (2:00) Right around that time, and the Marshal Service was there with me, you could check if that was the exact date. It was Maryland playing Iowa, I think, February of 2024. But again, you could check that out if that's what we're talking about. Speaker 1 (2:19) Could Speaker 2 (2:19) it then be that University of Iowa is the Hawkeyes? Could that be it if he was at an Iowa game? Is Speaker 6 (2:27) that correct? It was because Caitlin Clark was coming to Maryland to play. I Speaker 2 (2:31) know, but that might be the confusion over the names of the teams, but perhaps you should have looked at it more carefully. Speaker 4 (2:39) Whose questioning is this, by the way? Are you using your time, Senator? Is this what this is? Are we just having like an open session here? I Speaker 2 (2:47) will begin my questions. I'm just in shock. Well, Speaker 4 (2:49) I'm glad Speaker 2 (2:49) you're trying to rehabilitate the Speaker 4 (2:50) witness, but it's not your time. When you are calling Speaker 2 (2:52) a witness a dirtbag and Speaker 1 (2:53) showing him these things. Speaker 2 (2:53) I presented him with text messages about Speaker 4 (2:56) him wanting to meet with people. It could have obviously been related to the prosecution that was coordinated with his office in Atlanta. Well, I'm Speaker 2 (3:05) going to begin my questions now, but I think that people should have their facts straight before they accuse someone of being a dirtbag and not get the team's Speaker 3 (3:13) wrong. Speaker 2 (3:13) I stand by that statement. Speaker 3 (3:15) This is a real Four Seasons total landscaping moment. The Republican Party strikes again with their abject stupidity. Speaker 5 (3:26) Let's not forget the name of this hearing is the Oversight of Jack Smith's Abuse of Authority and Targeting of Republicans. So this was not an objective hearing, but let's go right to the juice of this. So this Senator Schmidt, he was a former attorney general for the state of Missouri. And I'm thinking to myself, why can't I get any cases against dumbass prosecutors like that? He spends this whole moment to sort of how do you not know that information? Speaker 6 (3:55) How Speaker 5 (3:55) can you run with that narrative without knowing that central piece of information about what he's talking about and try to do this huge buildup about that and be so ill-informed and so ill-prepared? And that's not on a staffer. That's on him. And then double down on it. I think he doubles down on this mistake that he made. This entire hearing was clearly a form of propaganda. It's like we see day in and day out. Only this time, Jack Smith is the boogeyman. He investigated these one sixers. What we haven't talked about is that Judge Cannon in the Southern District of Florida, she still has a gag order that prevents Jack Smith from speaking about the other criminal investigation into the classified documents, which I think is a lot more damaging. But he was allowed to answer questions here. And it was
