Speaker 4 (0:51) Welcome to the pretty little episode of Handsome. I'm Fortune Feimster. And Speaker 3 (0:56) I am Speaker 4 (0:56) Tig Speaker 3 (0:57) Notaro. Speaker 4 (0:58) I'm your co-host. Speaker 3 (0:59) Yeah, Speaker 4 (1:00) you Speaker 3 (1:00) are. Yeah. Co-hosting. Yes. I'm in Iowa. Speaker 4 (1:05) Iowa. Mm-hmm. Doing stand-up? No, just Speaker 3 (1:09) vacationing. Speaker 3 (1:12) You didn't know to take me seriously? Too is, Speaker 4 (1:19) I guess. I never know when the Speaker 3 (1:22) boys Speaker 4 (1:22) might have a hankering to go. Speaker 3 (1:24) Or even myself. I like small towns, minor markets, even to vacation in. Speaker 4 (1:33) There you go. Speaker 3 (1:34) But I am doing shows. Nice. Yes. And last night I did Iowa City, which was my first time. back to the road after I was sick in 2012. And so it holds a really special place in my heart. Yeah. Speaker 4 (1:57) That's cool. Speaker 3 (1:58) I've been back. I just, I was, um, I was backstage in 2013 cause I took a year off of the road Speaker 2 (2:05) to Speaker 3 (2:06) recover. And, um, And I remember waiting backstage in Iowa City at the theater and it had sold out. And I was thinking, OK, I have a I have a new fan base. I have I was feeling insecure, like, oh, if people have come to me from having had cancer, I don't have anything dark or, you know, I was just feeling insecure. Speaker 4 (2:32) Yeah. Speaker 3 (2:33) And and then I thought, you know what, I just have to trust that if people like me, they're going to. Speaker 1 (2:39) like Speaker 3 (2:40) me with or without cancer, dark material. And I went out on stage and they were just the most awesome audience. And so to this day, I just sing Iowa City's praises. I love it. Yeah. So it's always nice to come back and always nice to remind the audiences there of that experience. Speaker 3 (3:06) So, yeah, it was a fun show. Speaker 1 (3:09) And, Speaker 3 (3:10) yeah, so that's that. How are Speaker 4 (3:15) you? I'm good. I've been away for two weeks, and I just walked in my door a couple hours ago before I have to wake up early and head back out again tomorrow for three nights of shows. Where are you Speaker 3 (3:30) headed? Speaker 4 (3:31) I'm headed to Boise, Portland, Oregon, and Austin, Texas. Speaker 3 (3:35) I mean, could you get any better with those cities? I Speaker 4 (3:38) know. There are some great cities. I'm doing five shows. Yeah. So it's a big weekend. I've been traveling all over. I feel like I've lived five lives in the last two weeks. Yeah. Just going from I had a bunch of shows and then visiting my mom and then. my friend's 50th birthday. Then I went to the U.S. Open. I visited another friend. It's just been like so many things. And how Speaker 3 (4:05) was the U.S. Open? Speaker 4 (4:06) Really cool. I had never been before, but I love tennis. I played my whole life, and I played in college. I got the opportunity to go, and I took my brother. He's a big tennis player and fan as well. Speaker 2 (4:24) Nice. Speaker 4 (4:24) So we saw Coco Gauff play, and she's incredible. That was the big match of that day, and it was great. I got to try their little honey deuce drink. It's this little vodka lemonade drink. Was Speaker 3 (4:41) that Speaker 4 (4:41) tasty? It was a tasty treat on a hot summer day. Did Speaker 3 (4:46) you get drunk? I Speaker 4 (4:46) didn't get drunk, but I enjoyed myself. Speaker 4 (4:50) Afternoon and one in the evening because we stayed all day and watched tennis. And did your brother have one? He had one as well. Yeah. It's like their signature drink of the tournament now. That's Speaker 3 (5:03) great. Speaker 4 (5:03) So Speaker 3 (5:04) we Speaker 4 (5:04) wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Mm-hmm. Speaker 3 (5:08) And is it worth the hype? The drink is worth the hype. It is very good, Speaker 4 (5:13) especially because it's so hot there. Speaker 4 (5:18) And so it definitely feels very refreshing. The Speaker 3 (5:23) one thing that was not worth the hype, Speaker 4 (5:25) someone Speaker 3 (5:25) let Speaker 4 (5:25) me try. They sell these little packs of chicken nuggets. And it has caviar and creme fraiche and these little different things you can put on the nugget. And it's like all the rage. But it's expensive because of the caviar. And I was going to, for the gram, as they call it, buy one. To try it. But my neighbor friend, this very lovely gentleman, said, here, have one of mine. I was like, no, no, no. The guy sitting Speaker 3 (5:56) next to you. Speaker 4 (5:57) In the suite over. Speaker 3 (5:59) Oh, I see. Because I Speaker 4 (6:00) just was like, hey, let me know if those are any good. I might get one tonight. And he was like, here, have one of these. And I was like, no, no, no. I don't want to take your nugs. I'll get my own nugs. Sure. And then he was like, no, I insist. And I'm kind of glad he did that because I had it. And I was like, eh, not worth the hype. Speaker 3 (6:20) And what are we talking when you say it's expensive? Like $100. Speaker 4 (6:25) For a little Speaker 3 (6:26) pack of, it's because of the caviar. Speaker 4 (6:30) Okay. Yeah. And Speaker 3 (6:33) how much would that be if you weren't at the U.S. Open? Would Speaker 4 (6:36) you imagine? Oh, I mean, caviar, a little 10 of it would probably still be about 40 bucks. And then, you know. But Speaker
