Speaker 2 (0:59) Imagine building one of the most valuable pharmaceutical companies in the world and then realizing the drug that changed everything only be the beginning. That's the story I want to talk about today. Everybody knows about Monjaro. Everybody knows about Zepan. Everybody knows people were taking GLP-1 drugs. But while Wall Street is staring at what Eli Lilly has already built, I'm looking at what could come next. A pill. a next-generation triple-action drug. Global expansion. Billions of dollars in new manufacturing. An obesity market that could eventually be worth more than $100 billion a year. And a company that, in my opinion, is trying to own every lane of it. The injection. The pill. The next-generation treatment. The manufacturing. The distribution. The pipeline. The ticket symbol is LLY. Speaker 2 (1:55) What's shaking, everybody? My name is Ross Mandel, and welcome to Going Public. Today, we're talking about Eli Lilly. And this is one of those companies where I want you to just forget the stock price for a minute and understand the machine that's being built underneath it. Because Lilly is not some biotech that appeared yesterday with one hot drug. This company was founded in Indianapolis in 1876. 150 years ago. In 1923, Lilly became the first company to commercially produce insulin. Think about that. More than a century ago, this company was standing at the center of one of the biggest revolutions in diabetes treatment. And now 100 years later, diabetes and obesity have put Lilly right back in the center of another medical revolution. That symmetry is just incredible to me. But here's the difference this time. This isn't only about treating a disease. It's about potentially changing how hundreds of millions of people around the world manage weight, diabetes, cardiovascular risk, and metabolic health. And Wall Street has figured out just how big that could become. The first explosion came from terzipatide. You know the names. Malnjaro for type 2 diabetes. Zepound for obesity. And those two drugs have changed the trajectory of this company. Second quarter of 26, Lilly reported approximately $23 billion in revenue. Up 48 % from the year before. 48 % for a company this size? That is enormous. Malnjaro alone generated almost $10 billion. in the quarter. Zepbound brought in almost $5 billion. Between those two medicines, you're looking at the engines driving one of the fastest growing lots. For many of us, Speaker 1 (4:00) going further isn't a choice. They say... Lilly is the Monjaro company. Lilly, it's a Zepbound company. Wrong. That's chapter one. What I think makes this story so interesting is that Lilly appears determined not to protect one blockbuster. They're
