Speaker 3 (0:00) Oh, I actually feel my stomach has sank into my arse. Why your forehead's so shiny? Speaker 3 (0:09) Hi, welcome back to Overheard This Week. This is the pod where we debrief the week. And it's only the two of us today. It's Speaker 4 (0:16) a little mini pod because we're missing Aileen. It's Speaker 3 (0:19) not a tripod, it's a duo pod. Duo. Dual. Dual. Two Speaker 4 (0:25) if you will. Speaker 3 (0:25) Two if you will. If you actually watch us right now on your screen with your eyes, we are wearing the same outfit. We Speaker 4 (0:31) are. We went for comfort. And let me tell you, I don't think I'm taking this off. Speaker 3 (0:37) Yeah, it's very comfortable. Speaker 4 (0:38) It's the insides. So fluffy. So soft. So fleecy. And welcoming. Speaker 3 (0:44) Yeah. Speaker 4 (0:45) Yeah, I'm leaving it on. I actually went for a beautiful shower, moisturised head Speaker 3 (0:50) to toe, obviously. Put this on. I feel like this is me for the weekend now. Speaker 4 (0:53) Yeah. Speaker 3 (0:54) It's the perfect colour of grey as well. Are we going to form an alliance? Are we going to be a band right now? Yeah. Because when I was thinking that, what my head went to, I'm Jo and I'm Edward and together we are Jedwards, right? I'm Ash, I'm Lauren and together we are Lash. Wait, Lash? Speaker 4 (1:12) And then if it was Auden. Speaker 4 (1:16) If Ailey was here we could be Eel Eel Keeping it Eel Or Leah Keeping it Eel Keeping it Eel Here we go Love that But no these are lovely And they're from What is it Inform Inform I like that the logo is mini Teeny weeny Teeny weeny But em The black top Is my favourite That we've got How Speaker 3 (1:36) soft Speaker 4 (1:36) is it Love it Love it I love the shape I love the fact that I can wear a bra under it Or I don't need to wear a bra under it Perfect. Love the big band. Do you know what? I'm the same. I'm glad that we decided to keep it ill and just come in in our tracksuits. It goes super, super comfy. Do Speaker 3 (1:55) you Speaker 4 (1:55) know what we've Speaker 3 (1:56) noticed today? I don't know if you're listening or you're watching. Cans of Monster have changed the way that you open them. Why are we doing this? It's Speaker 4 (2:04) almost like we didn't need to make this difference. Do you know, I had seen this on TikTok, right? And then I never, ever seen it in the shops and I was like, what the hell is going on? That is just obnoxious. I don't want a big plastic bit. However, it angers me because it also, it makes perfect sense because now you can slide it shut and pop it closed. I'm not going to do it because Alan won't be able to come in and open it for us, you know, but it does make sense. But you can actually see the wee bit in the inside of the can, like it shuts when you push it forward. Is that to keep all the bubbles in? It is quite the Speaker 3 (2:37) task, isn't it? 558 millilitres. That's a lot of liquids. So Speaker 4 (2:41) it Speaker 3 (2:41) probably does make quite decent sense. I Speaker 4 (2:43) actually Speaker 3 (2:43) stopped Speaker 4 (2:44) drinking these for a while and I went back on to just the sugar-free plain Red Bull. I was a bit fed up with the flavours. Same, so did I. But you can't beat a white monster. You kind of can't beat it. Do you know, have you seen the trend or the hack even and you have this and then you add a shot of espresso? No, it's meant to be rocket fuel for the gym. What? Yeah. I feel like that should come with a health and safety warning. I know, but then is it just the same thing of like somebody discovered that you put the espresso in the milkshake and then you get like a Speaker 3 (3:16) coffee Speaker 4 (3:17) milkshake and actually that's really, really good? Could it be something like that? Will we try it? We should try it. Will we Speaker 3 (3:23) try it Speaker 4 (3:24) like in Speaker 3 (3:25) the next episodes? Yeah. Let's use our lid to close this over. Speaker 4 (3:29) We'll keep it for then. We'll Speaker 3 (3:30) keep Speaker 4 (3:30) it for the next one. We should go for Aileen, not Taylor because this makes her. Mental. Like she gets the shakes for like a week after she drinks one of these now. Speaker 3 (3:39) Such a Speaker 4 (3:39) delicate soul. Yeah, Speaker 3 (3:40) she's just a little delicate flower actually. It's just little burns. Little burns. Little Speaker 2 (3:45) burns. Speaker 3 (3:46) So Speaker 2 (3:46) what Speaker 4 (3:47) have you been doing this week? What have you overheard this week? absolutely can i read you this message that we actually got in because i love this right nah girls absolutely not filling in an excursion an excursion form we're going on an excursion extra curriculum filling in an excursion form for my youngest for school i asked my husband what his mobile number is and he starts reading out loud and gives me the first five digits And he goes, I'll need to go and get my phone to give you the rest. I hand on heart genuinely turned around and said, is it not 957885? Then immediately pause as the realization descends that you guys almost became my son's emergency contact for school excursions. The fact I remember your number of my husband's is not okay. I love that. Your aunties are coming to pick Speaker 3 (4:35) you up. That's it. Your aunties are coming. Can I actually add three people to the list of who can take my son out of school? So the number is 07428 957885. We request that you don't put us on the emergency contact. Yeah. We don't want to be a next of kin. No, I Speaker 4 (4:49) already Speaker 3 (4:49) don't Speaker 4 (4:50) want to go and pick my kids up if I need to leave early from somewhere. So I don't want to be in yours. But I love the fact that you know the number. Me too. That's perfect. It's really, really cute. And again, if you haven't saved that number. please save it into your phone because we like to get all of our confessions and dilemmas and problems and everything else sent to the phone but you can now do that on patreon as well yeah Speaker 3 (5:12) girls are doing that which is so so good um so like you know you give up their own phone number yeah if you might just prefer being on the app get that yeah i don't understand now on the topic of school forms first of all i get loads every week right more than average i would say but tell me this and i don't know if we've discussed this on the actual episode every time i need to fill out an excursion form an ev3 and an Speaker 4 (5:37) ev5 that's all the ev3s an ev3 there's some Speaker 3 (5:41) kind of a code right system for this rather than just permission slip which is what we Speaker 4 (5:46) would have called it Speaker 3 (5:46) absolutely a permission slip it'll be like what's their name what was their date what's their allergies all that stuff right you go through the full thing in a case of an emergency who do we contact There's a whole section, right? And it'll be like, can your child swim? Can they swim confidently in 50 metres depth? Can they swim a length of 50 metres? Are they confident in open water? Open water slash the sea. Slash the sea. Are they water conscious, right? They're going to the fucking science centre. Yeah, why are we doing Speaker 4 (6:20) this? What are you Speaker 3 (6:20) talking about? Why are you asking me Speaker 4 (6:22) these questions? Because that's the only one that I end up sitting going. Could they swim 50 meters if they were really pushed to it? I Speaker 3 (6:29) mean see the thing is there's only one way to tell. Speaker 4 (6:32) Well exactly. Speaker 3 (6:33) Are we taking them to the local leisure centre is my question. I Speaker 4 (6:35) don't really want to. I don't really want to. However, I feel like I told my kids when I answer that. It's like, are they conscious in water? And I'm like, no. Fucking arseholes. Do they do cannonballs? Absolutely. Yes, Speaker 3 (6:52) they do. Do they have fun in it? Yes. But this is the thing. Every time that question, right, or that series of questions for me personally, right, I know that I've answered that different every time. Same. No, absolutely. There's zero consistency. I don't know my own mind, it would seem. Speaker 4 (7:08) Can I not just fill out this form right at the very, very start of the year and then never have to fill it out again? Because I constantly, I don't know about you, but we're on apps now. I'm constantly getting a ping up saying you need to fill out this form and I think nothing's changed. I can tell you right now, nobody's in the armed forces. You know the medical conditions. You know the house address. You know the names and you've not changed it. Just leave it at that. Let's just leave it at that. Speaker 4 (7:34) This week Speaker 3 (7:34) I went to Superdrug, right? You know Emco Beauty? Yes. So Emco Beauty are the one that basically look at all the other brands. And then they dupe it. And they dupe it. But particularly they dupe it in the way that they look at the packaging and they instantly want to be recognisable for the packaging first. Yeah. Probably before the product, right? So there's been a few things that people have said, like they've tried to dupe this brand on that product or whatever. And to look at you would go, probably... very similar but actually the performance of the product is very different is it not Charlotte Speaker 4 (8:06) Tilbury quite Speaker 3 (8:07) often that they do a Speaker 4 (8:08) lot of their stuff yeah and Speaker 3 (8:09) the thing is with that right we spoke about this before a dupe was typically meant to be like I've found a product that's the same formula as that they look nothing like each other in the packaging but it's almost an identical like ingredient match or colour match that was huge that's what like what I remember it being like when I used to watch YouTube old days YouTube when beauty influencers would show you this and this are basically the same like ingredients right however what did we get at the sephora opening as a mini and we thought it was actually something else and we were going to take it back and we never took it back the Speaker 4 (8:45) road glazing milk Speaker 3 (8:47) and what did we want to get the road glazing spray mist yeah the mist so We missed the opportunity to get it. We missed the opportunity to take it back. To be Speaker 4 (8:58) fair, it was in the wrong place. It was. It definitely said the mist and that's how we grabbed it quickly. And it was actually the milk. By the way, the road stuff is still like so out of stock in there. I Speaker 3 (9:10) know. Speaker 4 (9:10) Like there's like three colours and they've got like a hundred of them. But all the ones like I'm sure. Speaker 4 (9:16) Spicy Marg is non-existent. What one did you get again? Sun Soak. Sun Soak, completely non-existent. It was the really, really dark ones that are left, like the pure red ones. That's like all that's left in the blushies. That's mad, Speaker 3 (9:29) isn't it? Speaker 4 (9:29) It's mental. Well, the spray. Yes. Everyone says the spray is unbelievable, right? Emco Beauty have a dip of the spray. Speaker 3 (9:38) The glazing milk spray and it looks like the same shape of the bottle, the way that it's all written. It was £8, right? I went into a new super drug that had opened and they just restocked everything. Yeah. Went up, got the spray. It was the last one. I've used it. It's actually so good. Do Speaker 4 (9:55) you like it? I Speaker 3 (9:56) love it. It's actually brilliant. Speaker 4 (9:59) Don't get me wrong. I think probably Speaker 3 (10:01) Rhodes has got better like the peptides for your skin and like all the barrier stuff, ceramides, whatever. That's probably better. But see, just in terms of like my makeup through the day, a wee refresh. Spray, spray, spray. It's actually why I look so sweaty. It's Speaker 4 (10:18) why Speaker 3 (10:18) your forehead's so Speaker 4 (10:19) shiny. Yeah, I do like a shiny forehead. I can't lie. I powdered my face up to fuck today. It's actually not as shiny as what it normally is. Don't like it. Don't feel as glowy. Do you like the glow? I do like the glow. I might Speaker 3 (10:33) have Speaker 4 (10:33) that in my bag. You can maybe try it. I do like the glow. I can't lie about that. I actually got a new concealer, which I'm trying out for the first time today, and I know we don't usually like doing that, but it's the Bi... Especially on episodes. I know this could be dangerous if I look like an absolute muppet, then we'll need to blur it or something, but it's the Bi Mario one. Oh, right. Lovely. So do you know what I found that I was doing right with concealers is I always thought your concealer had to be about 10 shades lighter. Speaker 3 (11:02) yeah than your skin Speaker 4 (11:03) i think i was still living in like the early 2000s yeah the kim Speaker 3 (11:07) k like triangles of the Speaker 4 (11:08) eyes and it just doesn't work because you know how i pure love the banana low lighter my daily get it and stuff like that it's too light for everyday makeup but i got this by mario one shade i think i got shade 200 oh my god it's like it's like putting butter on your skin oh Speaker 3 (11:22) really i Speaker 4 (11:22) love it i think the i'm sorry right i know we want to fight against the hype on some things right but see the glazing milk i just love it Speaker 3 (11:31) It is amazing. What Speaker 4 (11:32) were you talking about the glazed milk? Glowy ones. Both. Yeah, they are amazing. I opened mine as well, by the way. I opened mine. It had been sitting on the back of my bedroom door in the bag, ready to go back. Open me, open me. And I was just like, you are so tiny. And actually, because I'm away tonight, I was like, that's even better because I can just have my makeup bag and it's just all my wee minis in it. I love that. Speaker 3 (11:53) That's Speaker 4 (11:53) actually my favourite thing. Speaker 3 (11:54) Minis are the Speaker 4 (11:55) best things. Minis are the best thing. And do you know who does Speaker 3 (11:57) minis quite well? Who? Superdrug. so Speaker 4 (12:00) you can get they do Speaker 3 (12:01) a three for two on their wee mini travel stuff so you can get like a mini what's the hair gel you can get a mini eco gel hair gel we need to pick that up by the way mini shampoos mini dry shampoo like they have all the minis and it's three for two right Speaker 4 (12:17) i need Speaker 3 (12:17) to go and stock up because you Speaker 4 (12:18) know what i would really love to have is like an essential system how we've got our space nk bag right that we keep in our girls over here bag and we use it every single day i want a bag like that that is a grab and go so if you say to me lauren we're going away for a sister night like let's you need to be ready in 10 minutes or you're not going i can just literally grab that bag and in it it's got like my estrogen razor You can get a mini one of them Speaker 3 (12:43) now Have you seen that? I've seen these Oh my god it's so cute So Speaker 4 (12:46) cute They're so like chubby and dinky Yeah Yeah I know I feel like we should all have one
