Speaker 1 (0:00) That there is 10 out of 10 girls overheard Speaker 2 (0:03) message content. You Speaker 1 (0:04) went there for the wrong guy, but you're going to meet Mr. Right there. You're going to meet Mr. Right? Meet Mr. Speaker 3 (0:11) All Right? Could I might? Could I interest you in a Marmite sandwich? That's very good, Lauren. Speaker 2 (0:19) Welcome back to Girls Over Hair. This is your Monday main episode with me, Ash, Lauren and Ailey. Hello. We are in the studio today and I'm actually going to start this off by saying if you're not part of our Patreon group, guys, then you're missing out because we've got an extra episode over there. If you want to get your live show tickets in advance, might be some coming at Christmas time. Who knows? Don't really know. kind of do know nobody Speaker 1 (0:41) knows because we do like to surprise you but if you want if we're Speaker 2 (0:45) going Speaker 1 (0:45) to surprise Speaker 2 (0:45) anyone Speaker 1 (0:45) it's going to be the patreon Speaker 2 (0:46) it's going to be in there so if you want to subscribe there then you can click the link below and also see if you are going to do it here's a top tip and a money saving advice do it via the web browser because for some reason patreon when you subscribe to it on the actual app Speaker 1 (0:59) charges Speaker 2 (1:00) you more it's because of the app store if you're on an iphone that's right so see if you want it Speaker 1 (1:04) for the five pound whatever the hell it is it's at 450 450 plus whatever Speaker 2 (1:10) it is. It's about a fiver. Guess what's less than that cost unless you're using your 150 points. But if you're wanting to get it for the cheaper version, then you need to do it on the desktop. Don't do it on the app because we actually don't get any more for it. It's a cost that we're trying to take away from you. Do it on the app. Sorry, do it on the browser. Then download the app. Then sign Speaker 1 (1:32) in. Obviously, that means you don't actually have to go on a computer. You can just go on. Yeah, it's just because they're chrome or whatever. Chrome. Speaker 2 (1:38) Are you a chrome or a safari type of Speaker 1 (1:39) person? Safari, Speaker 3 (1:40) to be honest. I'm a safari. Speaker 2 (1:41) Yeah. I'm a chrome gal. I think you are, even on your phone. I'm a chrome Speaker 3 (1:44) gal. No, I'm Speaker 2 (1:45) always on the safari. Love Speaker 3 (1:46) the chrome, Speaker 2 (1:46) to be honest. I've always been a chrome person, really enjoy it. Is chrome meant to be like higher security or something? A higher speed or something? Don't really know, but guess what? That's what I use is Chrome and I've always been a Speaker 1 (1:57) Chrome person. Very quickly, speaking of Safari, can we give a shout out to Safari Nick who just got married. Safari Nick, congratulations. Congrats. Loved her pictures and actually she was the one that reminded us that it had been three years since our first live show. Mad. Love Speaker 3 (2:12) that. When Safari Nick was born. Beautiful stuff. Doesn't it look like I'm meant to be on Safari? No, not at all. One of our listeners, one Speaker 2 (2:21) of our gang, she's over on Patreon, she chats a lot on there as well. Nicola, she's come up to the afters and she was like concerned about her outfit. She was like, guys, I do fear that I look like I should be on safari. So we then obviously took that too far, got a picture of her. We knew it was her birthday at the next live show, put it on the screen. the Dime of Celeb hat the music and all that and called her Safari Knack and she's been that ever since she has do you know what listen see at the end of the day girls have I heard we're always going to give you a nickname that's how you become one of the gang we're always going to take it too far take it too far give you a nickname guaranteed do you know what I've taken too far this week guys can I just give you a catch up I have single handedly affronted enraged and brought a lot of anger into around 100,000 people this week yesterday Speaker 3 (3:06) How? I Speaker 2 (3:07) really angered, I've angered a community. Oh shit, who was it this time? Guess what I did? What? Shaved my face and I really annoyed people. I really, really annoyed people. For shaving your face? For shaving my Speaker 1 (3:20) face, right. Now tell me this, see that dermaplane? Yeah. You know, like the Hollywood browser? Yep, literally did it, literally did it last night. Speaker 2 (3:27) Yep, and do you feel fantastic? Speaker 1 (3:29) Yes. Speaker 2 (3:29) I mean, I'm not going to... No, blow my own trumpet here. I'm going to say my skin looks pretty good. It looks very clear. It looks very shiny. We don't have a hair on site, right? All I am on the face is brows and lashes, right? That's all we've got left. But I shaved my face yesterday and do you know what I'd seen? I'd seen people using hair identifier sprays, which is literally dry shampoo. Do they not? One of the brands actually sells it. I've seen people buying it, yeah. I know, but it is literally dry shampoo, right? Now, can I tell you this? See if you do something online, it might just be like, oh, I'm doing this, it's a wee funny thing, or I'm trying this out. I'm not leading you by the hand and going, come with me, you have to do this. Oh, yeah. Speaker 3 (4:09) I'm just showing you what I've done. I'm just showing you what I've done Speaker 2 (4:12) today. I'm not saying do as I do. I'm just saying watch what I'm doing. Right? That's what that was. Anyway, I simply have no regrets because there's been no issues since, right? So do with that information what you will. See anything you use, a little shaving razor, a dermaplaning razor. To take all your peach fuzz off your face. It literally says in the instructions, use on dry, clean skin. Everyone in the comments, you should be using it on wet skin. You should have your face oiled up. No, absolutely not. Literally has never, I've never seen that instruction since you wrote that comment. Okay. Secondly, it's my face. Yeah. Why do you care so much about my face? You're not my family member. Can you calm down? Can we read some of the comments? How do Speaker 1 (4:57) you do it if you do it? Right, so, I mean, I've been face shaving for a good few years. She Speaker 2 (5:02) has Speaker 1 (5:02) too, because obviously Wolverine. I have to, right? I mean, mine's not just the peach fuzz. I do get the little cluster of black hairs here. Yeah. On the old chin, Speaker 2 (5:10) chin, Speaker 1 (5:10) chin. I will wash my face, put nothing else on my face so my skin is like dry as it can be. Speaker 2 (5:15) Then Speaker 1 (5:16) I pull it a little bit tight, shave down here. This bit here, the jawline is the most satisfying bit. That's where you'll get like a big chunk of... fuzz that you didn't even know was there yeah I do the full face and then I'll maybe wait a bit and then I'll put my moisturiser and all that on later I don't put it on straight away it's also easy to miss Speaker 2 (5:32) it's easy to miss I feel when you do it just blindly so when I've been seeing people doing this hair identifier spray where they basically look like something from Narnia like you are the ice queen from Lion Witch in the wardrobe right it's so fun to look at because when you speak it in your eyes did Speaker 3 (5:47) you Speaker 2 (5:47) see my video? Speaker 3 (5:48) no Speaker 2 (5:49) Go and Speaker 3 (5:49) watch Speaker 2 (5:50) it and like it and subscribe. Like it and subscribe. It's on Instagram. I watched it. Where is it? Is it on Instagram? It's on Instagram. It's actually on TikTok as well. But I did this face spray, right, with the dry shampoo. You actually can't see the dry shampoo can. Here's the other thing, right? But that's what I did. And then I used the dermaplaner. It was so fun and interesting to watch. It took me about seven minutes. That's a fun video, isn't it? But people are really angry. Speaker 3 (6:15) I'm a Speaker 2 (6:15) facialist. I have liked this. Oh yeah, you just did it blindly. There Speaker 1 (6:19) is another rumour that we need to dispel that I've just seen in the comments. I did this once and it grows back thicker. That is not the case. Liar! The problem is, right, see when you shave your face. One of my friends actually thought this and I debunked it immediately because I was like, when you shave your face, when it grows back in... that bit that's grown back in is the bit that's had the blunt force trauma, right? That's the bit that's like cut it off. So you'll probably feel it for the first time. You'll maybe feel it. It's Speaker 2 (6:45) a Speaker 1 (6:45) wee bit sharper than it was. It will never grow in thicker ever. If that was the case, right, then balding men would shave their head once and it would grow back thicker. Do you know what I mean? That is just not how it works. Your hair doesn't grow back thicker if you shave. So don't ever be worried about that. It doesn't grow back darker. Speaker 3 (7:02) You're maybe Speaker 1 (7:02) just now actually comparing your bald face. to what was your hairy face before and maybe going up feels thicker. No, it's just you weren't aware of it before. You didn't realise there was another option before. Yeah. But yeah, I probably wouldn't do the dry shampoo because I love the satisfaction of the... dry skin yeah I love to see the hair coming off do you know what that's called that's called having the autonomy of choice it's almost as if Speaker 2 (7:25) you can make your own decisions as an Speaker 1 (7:26) adult it's almost Speaker 2 (7:26) like you can make your own mind up and you don't have to get angry about it do you not Speaker 1 (7:30) think women do enough grooming why would we shave the hairs on our face that you can't even see you Speaker 2 (7:34) don't have to Anna can't see them though because you can see them coming off in the video yeah also you just don't have to you also don't have to shave your legs you don't have to do any grooming whatsoever if you want I would prefer if you did but here's the thing why would they be bad for your health if spraying dry shampoo on your head is not bad for your health like it's literally like how how do you think the border control works on your head scalp and face right because why are you telling me that from here to here we're all good see the minute we go here bad for your health fuck up move on my face looks great i've actually just shaved it It's silky smooth. My skincare is absorbing great. No, I don't have whiteheads. No, I don't have blocked pores. No, it hasn't caused me issues. I don't have a rash. I look great in that line. Show that right to the camera right now. That there. Speaker 3 (8:24) It's iconic. It's just, it's the wee lines because you've went, oh. I know, I Speaker 2 (8:30) know. Speaker 3 (8:30) It's so fun. Speaker 2 (8:31) But yeah, that's what I did this Speaker 1 (8:32) week. Enrage the public. That's what I did. Not hard to do on TikTok or Instagram. It's when Ash Speaker 2 (8:38) does the jaw here and Speaker 3 (8:40) then it drops and she looks like, what the fuck? Speaker 1 (8:42) What the fuck I did? That Speaker 2 (8:44) was the hair that we don't see on your face, apparently. I haven't done it for ages, Speaker 3 (8:47) to be fair, and I'm needing to. Yeah, Speaker 2 (8:49) do you know what really was quite hairy for me? My neck. Speaker 3 (8:53) My Speaker 2 (8:53) neck. Oh, I never do the neck. My neck. I don't Speaker 1 (8:57) think I've ever shaved the neck. The neck, especially like from the earlobe down. Yeah. Super Speaker 2 (9:03) hairy. Speaker 1 (9:06) Can I ask you a question that's been all over TikTok this week? Absolutely. What would you like to know? It's about the ice latte. Have you seen this? No. There's a big debate, right? And it's basically, it's almost like a millennial versus Gen Z thing, right? We're going to win. It was somebody's, she's like a recruiter, right? And she made a video where she said, if you are coming to a job interview and you bring an ice latte, I'm judging you and you're not making a good impression. and Gen Z have then massively kicked off and went, this is why people hate working in an office. This is like corporate rules are a lot of shite. I'm going to bring a nice latte. I have never seen, actually thought it was a joke. You know, sometimes you can see like a wee trend and people are making videos and opinions and stuff and it ends up, it's satire. I agree. That's Speaker 2 (9:51) a Speaker 1 (9:51) real thing. So you're an interviewer, right? It needs to specifically be a corporate job, right? If you're an interviewer, somebody walks in holding a nice latte, what are you thinking? Wanker. I actually agree. Speaker 3 (10:02) Do you know why? Because I go, you've come to a meeting that you want me to give you a job. You've come with a half-drank drink. Number one, the ice condensation is going to piss all over my nice desk. And number two, where are your fucking manners because you don't turn up with a coffee for yourself? and not for the other person that you're meeting. So what they brought to, Speaker 1 (10:25) would you fully change your mind or would you still be like, that's a bit wanky? If they brought to, Speaker 3 (10:29) then that would change my mind because I would go, oh, you're trying to Speaker 1 (10:32) make a first impression, like you're going out of your way, but you turn up with one half-drank Speaker 3 (10:37) for yourself, that's rude. And I will die on that hill that I think manners have fucking gone to the shit. Yeah, Speaker 1 (10:44) I fully agree. So my opinion would be if somebody walked in and I'm a boss and for some reason I'm in a New York skyscraper. Okay. Yeah. They're walking in and it's the New York skyline behind me and I am the boss. You are doing so well. I'm so excited. I'm wearing a pencil Speaker 2 (10:58) skirt. A pencil skirt, but also it is a two-tone. You've got a burgundy, like darker, deep reddy, whiny colour pencil skirt. There's a white shirt, but your jacket is tweed. And I just think you are the office icon. but you're the boss so you make the rules the rest of them are in black it's like a movie so they all just fade to the background and you stand out like Devil Wears Prada Ailey Wears Prada I love this for Speaker 1 (11:18) me Speaker 2 (11:18) Alan change that Speaker 1 (11:20) background so in my head if you're walking in with an ice latte right number one it's giving short attention span can you not sit through this half hour interview without something to keep your hands busy and it almost it feels like a snack it feels like you've went, oh, I'll need to get something to, it's not the fucking cinema. You don't have to bring a snack with you. And it's different if you've come in and I've went, do you want a coffee? And I've made you one. And that's like a wee nice exchange to settle your nerves. Sure. But if you're bringing a nice latte, I'm judging it. And that's what an interview is for, right? We're supposed to judge everything that we can in Speaker 2 (11:56) this half hour. You stop to go and get a nice latte. I just think it's bad manners. If I stopped for a nice latte beforehand, I'd be thinking to myself. I better finish this before I go in here. Yeah. Because also you have the logistics of how do I take that
