Speaker 3 (0:04) happy Monday everyone hope you had a lovely weekend did you catch up on the vlog if not it is over there on YouTube to be watched but it's just me and you today Speaker 4 (0:14) just the two of us we can make it if we try do you know what that's one thing I will tell you is that see if I was asked to have one wish that didn't involve anyone else uh-huh and they go we can change something about you I might go vanity and I might go for the tummy tuck and the breast uplift right but I also think I might just really think about it for a minute and I'll go make me a good singer yeah Speaker 3 (0:39) it would just be such a great talent to have and Speaker 4 (0:42) just for everyone else's enjoyment as well yeah do Speaker 3 (0:45) you know I would I would love to be the one on holiday that goes to do the karaoke and then everybody stops and you see them go Speaker 4 (0:52) Wow. Wow. You have the voice of an angel. Do Speaker 3 (0:55) you Speaker 4 (0:55) know who's got a great voice? Abby Clancy. Does she? Yeah. Speaker 3 (1:00) How is that fair? Is she a good singer? Speaker 4 (1:02) She's beautiful. She's got the best accent. She's talented. She can sing. Speaker 3 (1:08) I just, I love seeing somebody that you would, not in a bad way, but somebody you would look at and go like. You're Speaker 4 (1:17) talking about Subo right now. This lady is Subo. Speaker 3 (1:19) She's a prime example. Speaker 4 (1:22) Someone you go, typically wouldn't have expected you to sing like that. Yeah. Speaker 3 (1:26) Oh God. I can actually still remember watching her audition for the first time and literally being like, I dream the dream of time gone by. Anything musical though. Wow. Speaker 4 (1:38) pass Speaker 3 (1:39) get her in you're great it's Speaker 4 (1:41) a Speaker 3 (1:41) yes from me approved give her the golden buzzer we had the golden buzzer I Speaker 4 (1:45) would love to be a judge on one of these things do you it'd be very boring I'd like it for an hour yeah Speaker 3 (1:52) if Speaker 4 (1:52) you want somebody to step in while you go on your lunch break I could do that I Speaker 3 (1:55) would just want them to be like constantly like coming in and in and in and in I'm like I I wouldn't be I couldn't be arsed if the pier stops that yeah Speaker 4 (2:03) that's true There is a lot that goes on with that, by the way. You ever went to watch any of the auditions? No. Speaker 3 (2:08) Because Speaker 4 (2:08) it's free to get in. No. You can go Speaker 3 (2:11) and Speaker 4 (2:11) get a free ticket for like Britain's Got Talent and X Factor and all that. No, never. When they do the location one, so you can go and just watch it. Speaker 3 (2:18) No, the only thing I've done is went on like Live and Kicking. Oh my God, did you go on Live and Kicking? Yeah. Girl we went to school with, her mum worked in the BBC and she'd got us. I think we actually went as a full school and then I think we went another time as just like a friendship group Ella Speaker 4 (2:35) went on the TV recently did she was it maybe say recent was it last November or something what for oh god what's the TV show it's like their morning show on BBC I can't I literally can't even remember what it was but she said it Speaker 3 (2:51) was Speaker 4 (2:51) really funny it's Speaker 3 (2:51) not Speaker 4 (2:51) milkshake Speaker 3 (2:52) but it's Speaker 4 (2:52) like milkshake Speaker 3 (2:53) that kind of kids thing it's Speaker 4 (2:54) a bit like that Speaker 3 (2:54) yeah so it's like Speaker 4 (2:54) you'll go in and it'll be like you know all the kids are together and it's like yay in the background So you know the ones that you'd watch when you'd watch these shows and be like, how did they get on there? Speaker 3 (3:03) How did their mum and dad know? They must be so Speaker 4 (3:04) famous. How did they manage that? I want to know how to get on a show. It was that. And to be fair, actually, it was a Facebook advert that came up. It was good. And it was like, do you have a child between nine and 11 that wants to be on a show? And she just had to be like an audience type member. That's fun though. She loved it. She really enjoyed it. There was loads of kids that went. It was an early morning drop off and then I went away and I was doing editing in the Starbucks near there and I went back and got her and she pure loved it. It was really good. A little something to add to the CV. I actually forgot about it to be honest. I had let it wet out of my brain until right there. Speaker 3 (3:45) I'm a wee bit worried to say this. How what? But have you seen the whole thing about Allo apparently having people's accounts banned? Right. Speaker 4 (3:54) Now Speaker 3 (3:54) this is girls who have shown what I got in the new Allo store. Come with me to Allo. Like proper Allo stands and their accounts have been Speaker 4 (4:05) getting banned. On TikTok. On TikTok. And you know the reason why? So apparently they're getting the notification through and it's like your account has been Speaker 4 (4:15) reason and it'll be like a trademarking or like basically something to insinuate that you are showing fake products proclaiming that they're from another from that actual brand but like fakes these girls aren't even doing that no they're real they're real it's the actual real stuff in the real store and they're going to the shop and showing it Speaker 3 (4:33) One of the girls that I've seen was actually asked by the Speaker 4 (4:36) leads. Speaker 3 (4:36) The really beautiful girl. Yeah, she was asked by the leads store to go and do like, it was something to do with them offering like a VIP membership or something for like exclusive colour drops and things. And it was her account that got banned. She's like, I've spent thousands in that shop. And she can Speaker 4 (4:53) show it on her account. That's Speaker 3 (4:54) the Speaker 4 (4:54) thing. She's actually got the membership like on the app. She's like, I am a pure loyal. like user of this brand like I literally consume all their stuff so many girls are saying to me like stop posting when the new colors come out because I go to try and get it and they're all sold out in Speaker 3 (5:07) the Speaker 4 (5:07) local store like and then she had loads of followers by the way like she'd built her account up for ages and the thing with that is right you just hope that the people who followed her will think to find her again because it's like genuinely if that's what she does is a full-time thing you're affecting somebody's income absolutely when she's done nothing wrong swiped it from under their feet I'm just very very surprised with TikTok for this right because I go how have you allowed that to happen how has that company come and complained about that person you've not went let me watch it and just double check first look at it and go no they're actually in the shop that doesn't seem to be fake to me how is that even happening so one of the other Speaker 3 (5:47) girls that I had seen that was talking about it was basically saying she has built up such a good community on Instagram as well that that's where she then moves on clothes that she no longer wears they don't fit her anymore like she's just like outgrown them or whatever right she was trying to sell an aloe top on her Instagram And she got her Instagram removed. And she was like, I paid £90 for this top. It doesn't fit me. I'm sure it was. It doesn't fit anymore. She was like, I'm moving it back on. So like. I make a little tiny percentage of money back from it and somebody's also getting an aloe top to wear for £20, a fraction of the price, but the aloe brand still lives on. It still continues to be shown online to her new friends. She might buy that and go, actually, the quality of this is amazing. I am going to spend the Speaker 4 (6:42) £90. But is it amazing? Because here's the thing, right? I don't personally own anything aloe. Me Speaker 3 (6:48) neither. Speaker 4 (6:49) Right? I don't have anything myself in my wardrobe. But when I've seen people talking about the brand online, I have seen a lot of confusion around why it's just as expensive as what it is. Because the material that it's made of isn't... It's polyester. Yeah, it's polyester. Speaker 3 (7:06) Which isn't a bad thing. They've just done that thing where they've managed to dominate a market, have such a... clean girl gym like cool girl aesthetic they've just dominated it and they've went actually this is our name this is what you can look like if you wear Speaker 4 (7:22) our stuff yep you want to be that girl see the thing I would say right about the polyester thing I don't know if you've seen this a while ago but you know the girl who's got um Speaker 4 (7:33) you know the girl who's got odd muse she was speaking about like products having polyester Amy Schmoll S-M-O-L-E is that her name? is there an H in there somewhere? I feel like there could be I'd say Schmall Amy Schmall she was speaking about the composition of the fabrics of her dresses right and she was like just because something has polyester in it and is made with a majority polyester doesn't actually mean that it's bad quality right you can get different grades of polyester and sometimes actually for sustainability for something to last a long time you might want to use a polyester rather than something like a cotton that might bobble or over time it just doesn't look as good and then that item then becomes like surplus to the requirement because you can't wear it now because it looks rubbish so you buy something else actually the longevity of that one dress that's made with the polyester you might wear that black dress your whole life yeah rather than buying several black dresses just like it might be a polyester but it could be a really good quality polyester they're not all made the same it also Speaker 3 (8:35) depends on the percentage as well that you use because you can use two percent polyester in something or you could use a hundred percent polyester in something so Speaker 4 (8:42) I must admit though like I just don't know how people are dressed head to toe and if that's your thing some people have their vice like some people like a wine at the weekend some people like a really good gym set once a month or whatever that looks like for you right yeah i just personally don't know how we're buying 120 pound leggings plus an 80 pound crop top plus a jumper or a hoodie at 110 pounds i know and we're wearing that all together and it's one outfit one time i know and then we've got several versions of that like when did we become that that for me was like that's a celebrity status a celebrity bank account type of a purchase how did that become so mainstream it's Speaker 3 (9:24) not though it's not that's the whole thing it actually isn't like people cannot justify spending that much money on something that you're like you're literally your arse cracks sweating yeah Speaker 4 (9:35) I don't know I think for me right I'm just not that bothered about brands no Speaker 3 (9:41) I think I think the older you get there's some things that I go like actually do you know what I like what I like yeah and it is a bit more expensive than other things but then other bits I go yeah but none of my gym sets Speaker 4 (9:55) are Speaker 3 (9:55) so Speaker 4 (9:56) where do you draw the line where do you go I need that to be a certain brand but this I'm kind of I'm happy to just go whatever Speaker 3 (10:05) like it's silly things right so see like all my hand soaps in the house I'll buy the one pound Kadex one but see the hand soap that I've got in my personal bathroom yeah Speaker 4 (10:15) it's Speaker 3 (10:16) a 30 pound wee one yes Speaker 4 (10:18) but it's Speaker 3 (10:18) only me that uses it so it lasts forever and I just go do you know what that's a little bit of luxury yep small luxuries small small luxury that I love that has it's still like over halfway full I bought it months ago I just go that little bit but it's 30 quid at the same time like I remember standing pure humming on buying it right and Chris was like learning it's 30 quid like his justification was you wouldn't think twice about going and buying two vapes Speaker 4 (10:44) yes I know by the way it is so true though like this is the other thing right for me I sorry I feel like we spoke about this quite a lot in like last week's over here this week about money and all that kind of stuff right but isn't it so funny that in our heads we will hum and haw about something like a food shopping at £100, right? You'll go, fucking hell, food shopping was £100 this week. Or for a few days, food shopping was £100. But then you'll go out for dinner. And not even bat an eyelid. And that's one meal, one time. And again, it's like a whole experience thing, right? Or for example, we went to McDonald's for the first time in ages, right? Fraser got a meal, me and Elle get the cheeseburgers, just normal, like not a fancy one. A cheese box sharer, three drinks, two chips. I was 30 pound I know it's ridiculous right and I'm like we got pound saver menu stuff like it wasn't even bite it was just because we wanted that kind of burger not like an actual one with the seeds we just wanted a small one so I'm like
