Speaker 5 (0:06) to the Fantasy Footballers Podcast with your hosts Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. Speaker 3 (0:21) Welcome in! We're over here reacting to all the waivers. Speaker 3 (0:36) I need more tight ends. Jason. It's not fair. We had, I mean, we're in a bunch of leagues, and the Ollie Gordon Express took place. Holy moly. I mean. Every league I'm in, he's Speaker 5 (0:52) going for over 80 fab, which to me is insane. Maybe, look, it's tough out there in the streets, and you want the Dolphins Speaker 4 (1:01) running game. You Speaker 3 (1:03) would if it was A-chan out there, obviously. Speaker 4 (1:05) Of course. And we believe in A-chan. Now, Ollie Gordon, he was a Speaker 3 (1:09) prolific collegiate running back. He's a three-down kind of guy. All I'm saying is I was trying to think of like— Also, what, a Speaker 4 (1:16) seventh-round running back? Speaker 3 (1:18) Well, let me ask you this. The pros loved him. Well, okay. Was he seventh round? Let me double check. Double check my work. I remember he was definitely talked up and then fell. Sixth round, I apologize. Much different. Let me ask you this, though. If Brees Hall was out for the year and Braylon Allen is on the waiver wire for the Jets, Braylon Allen goes for more than 82, right? Speaker 4 (1:42) Yeah. He'd probably go right around there. Speaker 3 (1:44) Now, the problem, and Isaiah Davis will get work this week with the Jets. Part of the problem, I think, is not everybody is aligned on Ollie Gordon v. Jalen Wright. Correct. And we are not 100 % certain about that situation. Jalen Wright was out with a foot injury, higher on the depth chart. Ollie Gordon, they talk well of him. I've always liked the film. But that is the Speaker 4 (2:06) unknown. That's why on the show yesterday, I'm like, I'm not dropping 80 on a player on the worst offense. Second worst offense. New England, what up? I think it is 100 % Speaker 3 (2:19) because it's a season-ending injury bet. I Speaker 4 (2:21) get it. I'm not saying it's worth 82. Speaker 3 (2:25) I didn't bid that. You know what I mean? I had 8-in. I bid 25. My bid was 25 in the league I had 8-in. I wasn't willing to go harden the paint there for the Miami offense necessarily, but... I'm just trying to think of the rest of the season. There's only a handful of not rostered players. Most of the backups are rostered that aren't available out there, like the high, prolific, big-time names that are, you know, Emmitt Johnson, right? Oh, sure. I mean, obviously, if Ken Walker went out there. It went out and Emmitt Johnson's on waiver. That's a $100 fab drop. That would be a full fab Speaker 4 (3:02) dump. But it's like the guys where you feel confident that they would take over and that they would be very usable. Like Brian Robinson. I mean, I don't know what his roster percentage is, but I have to imagine it's high 80s, low 90s. Brian Speaker 3 (3:20) Robinson would go for a ton. That's not an offense we love either. But he's not Speaker 4 (3:24) as good as Bijan. He's better than the Dolphins. Speaker 3 (3:27) You know who's not better than the Dolphins? You know who's scored fewer points than the Dolphins? Oh, man, Brian Robinson's roster is Speaker 4 (3:32) way low. The Patriots. The Speaker 3 (3:34) Patriots are the only team that scored fewer points than the Dolphins this year. Speaker 4 (3:37) You guys should pick up Brian Robinson. He's 33 % rostered on Sleeper. Speaker 3 (3:43) You guys being our listeners? Yes. Not just the two people you're sitting across from? No, not us. He's rostered in Speaker 4 (3:47) our league. Speaker 3 (3:47) He's rostered in Speaker 4 (3:48) our league, yeah. Speaker 3 (3:49) So, yeah, a lot of our chop league, we had big money spent on Puka Nakua, which is a scary spend. He went for over 500, right? Speaker 5 (3:57) Scary spin for Chopped because anytime there, you know, it's like if you then don't get him this week and lose in our Chopped, Speaker 3 (4:05) it was a bad buy. Yeah, Speaker 5 (4:07) I Speaker 3 (4:07) mean, he's probably not playing this week. But another, like in our Chopped League, a lot of players that went this week were players with long-term question marks like Malik Neighbors. What's he worth in a Chopped League? Because what is he rest of season? He ended up going for 200. On a $1,000 budget. Speaker 4 (4:22) See if double nines can take Speaker 3 (4:25) care of it. Speaker 4 (4:26) Double nines. Yeah, because he's Speaker 3 (4:27) 18 now. Yeah. Talking about McCarthy. Oh, Speaker 4 (4:30) I didn't see that. Is Speaker 3 (4:31) that his number? 18. Yeah. Speaker 4 (4:33) You thought nine was good? Just wait. Yeah. The second time. Speaker 3 (4:38) Yeah. Times two. That's wild. We have a trade-oriented show today. We're going to talk about some trade for tradeaway players on today's episode. We'll preview the Thursday night game, jump into the mailbag as well. News to catch you up on. Let's start there. News and notes from around the league. Bears coach Ben Johnson said we'll see how it plays out this week when asked about who will start at quarterback in week four. The Bears play the Jets this Speaker 4 (5:07) week. It has to be that way. You can't have... Case Keenum perform the way that he did on a Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles and just automatically throw secret Bajet man in there as your backup. You have to at least evaluate something. Speaker 3 (5:24) Yeah, so this was not in the context of the potential return for Caleb because that's still weeks away. Correct. So, yeah, if I'm the Bears, there's no way I don't play Case Keenum this week. I would be shocked if that's not the decision. Yeah, go ahead. Speaker 4 (5:37) I would say I would probably put Keenum out there. But the percentage chance that Case Keenum goes out for this game and it is the worst thing that you've ever seen. Not impossible. Not impossible. And the Jets are playing okay. Jalen McMillan on injured reserve for the Buccaneers. This dude's body does not like football. No. So, yeah, unfortunately. Speaker 5 (6:00) He's flashed a few times when he's been on the field, but that's also been a few times. Speaker 3 (6:06) Yeah, so Ted Hurst, he continues to get 70-plus percent of the snaps. I picked him up in League of Record. He'll get opportunities. We won't have Baker. You traded him to me. Did you click the button? I'm about to. I was wondering if you'd do that because you have too many tight ends. Yes, it's Speaker 5 (6:23) so stupid. Nobody's been outraged at this level. I Speaker 3 (6:25) need more Speaker 5 (6:25) tight ends. Speaker 3 (6:26) Jason is trying to. He's trying to keep four-plus tight ends Speaker 5 (6:30) on his roster. Our league, which nobody knew. Apparently Andy might have known this. No one else in our league knew that we had roster limits. We've literally had the conversation before on the show that you shouldn't have limitations on transactions. To me, it's stupid. I'm going to bring it to a vote. It's dumb. But apparently I have found out that we do, in our league of record, you can only have a maximum of three tight ends. And I want more. Honestly, Speaker 4 (6:55) I want five. In today's NFL, I mean, so what is the trade happen? I'm not. Yeah. Did you Speaker 5 (7:01) take it? So because I literally went to make a transaction and put a wide receiver in and it said, oh, I'm over the limit. I have four tight ends, which what was Speaker 4 (7:11) the trade? Speaker 5 (7:12) The trade was I needed to get rid of them. So I traded Darren Waller for one dollar of fab and Ted, Speaker 4 (7:18) which, yeah, to your point of us putting a cap on how many you can have. Who would you rather play this week? Exactly. Darren Waller by a billion. Yeah, Darren Waller or Speaker 3 (7:30) Tyler Higbee. Look, I have no problem with changing that rule. It's been funny because it's been back-to-back weeks where you... like you signed three tight ends or whatever. You talked about this last week and then you're like, oh, what happened? I can't do it again? Honestly, I assumed that Speaker 5 (7:50) the sleeper system would not let me pick up more than the limit. If the limit is three, it wouldn't let me Speaker 3 (7:54) pick up a fourth. I think that's fair. And if we need to change it so you can stockpile your future Speaker 5 (8:00) tight ends. Dude, there's so many out there I want. The Speaker 3 (8:02) funniest part is I think two sets of your tight ends, aren't they like? Well, I guess you got Higby and Ferguson combo. Yeah, Ferguson and Higby. You should get Parkinson, too. And Speaker 4 (8:11) Allen. Don't tip me with a good time. Go full Rams. I mean, the NFL's not putting a limit on the Rams. Right. Oh, okay. Tell me I can't play 05 personnel? Speaker 5 (8:22) Come on. Speaker 3 (8:24) Oh, I love this. I don't love this news, though. Packers placing Jaden Reed on injured reserve. He tweeted 11 out. It looks like it's indefinite to season ending. We don't know for certain, but it's a neck injury. It was serious. And Jaden Reed, at least according to his Instagram, seems like he's not going to be here for the near term at all. It'll be interesting because we're going to talk about some players on today's trade segment that relate to the Green Bay situation. So we'll save it for that. We all Speaker 4 (8:56) say stupid stuff sometimes. Speaker 3 (8:59) Yeah, we do, Mike. That's a good point. You would know better than most. Speaker 4 (9:02) I was just letting you know. You don't have to say something stupid today. Speaker 3 (9:05) I'm not going to say anything stupid. I'm going to say something tempered and within context. We'll ask Speaker 5 (9:10) the people. I'll say something stupid. Speaker 3 (9:13) Perfect. Dan Quinn said... You're going to Speaker 4 (9:15) read Andy's trade-away? Speaker 3 (9:18) Don't take it personally. There's context to trade-aways. Jaden Daniels would be considered limited if it was a full practice today. I saw a picture of him. He's got a new... A sturdy left arm brace. Speaker 4 (9:29) Oh, yeah? Yeah. Something you could have been doing this whole time. Speaker 3 (9:34) Rashad White dealing with a shoulder injury, receiving treatment for it. They signed Austin Eckler. And then Jalen Waddell is, quote, believed to be fine despite being seen in a walking boot on his right foot following the game. Speaker 4 (9:45) Classic preventative walking boot. Speaker 3 (9:47) Yeah, I mean, it didn't work out well for the coker walking boot. Speaker 5 (9:50) Yeah. Speaker 3 (9:51) I guess it was a different injury. I don't know. But. Preventative walking boots. Put them all in them if that's the case. If we need to keep these feet safe. Yeah, I Speaker 5 (10:00) mean, just armor up. Like these guys should just be living, you know. Speaker 4 (10:03) Does Speaker 5 (10:04) anyone have Speaker 4 (10:05) like. Monday through Saturday in full Iron Man gear. Business proposal for you guys. Yeah. Designer walking boots. Oh, designer. Yeah. Oh, because Speaker 3 (10:15) when they're coming down like. On game day and they're in their swag? When you Speaker 4 (10:18) got the big one where it's like all these Velcro straps. Yeah, that's ugly. That's medical grade. Nike, where you Speaker 5 (10:24) at? Seriously. Nike needs to put a swoosh on that. No, Speaker 3 (10:27) not Speaker 4 (10:27) Nike. I just gave you the proposal. Oh, I'm Speaker 5 (10:29) going Speaker 4 (10:30) to create my own brand. Nike's got to buy this from us. Yes, we just patent pending. You're thinking bedazzled? What are you thinking? I mean, some of them. Patent leather? Yeah, we're icing Speaker 5 (10:38) them out for sure. That would change Speaker 3 (10:43) my perspective. I was like, yeah, Speaker 4 (10:44) he looks hurt, but he looks cool. Speaker 3 (10:49) Jalen Waddell, he's the only player where fine can correlate to already being hurt. So we'll see what happens there. The Waddell situation, he should be okay, but he's kind of a scary dude in terms of... We haven't seen consistency from Waddle since the Tyreek Hill Miami year. Right. Even though we know how good he is, it's kind of a weird thing and he gets banged up. But, okay, any other news coming through? I do want to let people know we have some news on our site. Yes, we Speaker 2 (11:19) do. Speaker 3 (11:19) Like if you're an Ultimate Foot Clan member, for the first time ever, we have Dynasty startup rankings available in season. And not only that. And they're frequently updated. They're used in our trade analyzer, which has dynasty-specific trade advice. But there's also a new option, and I'm so happy about this. Oh, this is so cool. So amazing. Because people want to know, and this has been the story of our show forever, that context matters. Your league mates, what your plan is in a dynasty league. Not all rankings are made equal. And so we now have an adjustable. Speaker 3 (11:55) at the top of the Dynasty rankings that you can drag from win now all the way to long-term and everything in between. We have a balanced setting, a win now setting, and a long-term setting. So it adjusts the rankings based on your actual goals as a Dynasty team. So we've always had Dynasty startup rankings in the UDK Plus in the Dynasty Pass during the offseason. They're now available year-round, and you can drag that. bar to adjust your plan. So if you're evaluating a trade and you want to look independently, you're going to see who we think are win now players versus long-term assets. So super excited about that. That's all part of the foot plan. Just, we just added it in there yesterday. Team's been working on it with us and the rankings are up there. Join the foot.com. If you want access to it, it is only a part of the ultimate because that's where the dynasty pass lives. That's where the season long stuff is. So if you want to upgrade or you want to jump in there, super cool. Speaker 4 (12:52) We talked about it a good bit on today's Dynasty pod and just gave Speaker 3 (12:56) you Speaker 4 (12:56) some examples so you can check that out. Speaker 3 (12:58) Yeah, no, it's super helpful. Let's talk some trades. Let's talk trades. Well, this should be fun, and I'm open to full-on discussion around these players' disagreement, all of that stuff. Three weeks in, good opportunity to kind of get a lay of the land. Players that might be outperforming a reasonable touchdown number or something to that nature. Guys that we are choosing as trade for candidates and then players that we're choosing as trade away candidates after three weeks. So, Mike, why don't you kick it off with the trade for player? Sure. That's on your list. So Speaker 4 (13:43) the trade for we're trying to find players that we believe are underperforming. And I would like to highlight Mr. George Pickens of the Dallas Cowboys because it's just. The huge game hasn't happened. Last week was much better. 11 targets, 7-4, 82. That's a very usable game. We're happy about that. But the first couple weeks, it was down, even though the Cowboys are still putting up points. But looking at the behind-the-scenes metrics, the numbers are actually very good for George Pickens. His target share, his targets per route run, his yards per route run, those are all up compared to three weeks into the season for last year for the Dallas Cowboys. It's just that the production is lagging a little bit. No touchdowns. George Pickens is going to start scoring touchdowns. It will bounce back. And so the volume is still completely there for him. The schedule, I mean, the upcoming schedule is actually fantastic for him. Dallas wide receivers, as of right now, face the third easiest rest of season schedule. That, of course, rest of season is a little bit tricky right now because we only have three weeks of data. But the early outlook is it's going to be great for the Dallas passing game. CeeDee Lamb, you're not going to be able Speaker 3 (15:11) to Speaker 4 (15:11) trade for CeeDee Lamb because he's been performing. But if you still want a piece of that Dallas passing offense, then George Pickens, I think you can get him cheaper than he is going to be in just a couple weeks. I Speaker 3 (15:22) think you can get him cheaper than what the perceived value of him was before the season, too. I think maybe there's been a tier change in people's minds. I don't mind the suggestion at all. I will say the only thing that I think has been definitive through three weeks that... was a question in people's minds with the pick and selection was whether is CeeDee Lamb still the dude? Is he still that guy? Is
