Speaker 1 (0:00) Welcome to Chrissy Confessions 2.0 with my lovely, lovely self and my wife. I Speaker 2 (0:06) thought you were going to say my lovely wife, but his lovely self and his wife. Speaker 1 (0:11) You know, sometimes I get halfway there and then as you say... You try to Speaker 2 (0:17) be nice, but it just is not in you to go all the way there. You Speaker 1 (0:21) just can't do it. How are you today? Okay, Speaker 2 (0:23) my voice is a little bit like scratchy, so I apologize. She's getting Speaker 1 (0:28) too old to do the things I asked her to do. Speaker 2 (0:30) No, I've been feeling just kind of off the last couple of days. Speaker 2 (0:35) I don't know. Maybe I just I think the weather's changing. But I got up this morning. I couldn't even talk like I could not even say a word. And Speaker 1 (0:43) I'm going to tell you something. I don't mind that. Oh, Speaker 2 (0:46) is Speaker 1 (0:46) that true? I really don't mind that. I really do like the idea of you getting laryngitis for the first three hours of the day. Speaker 2 (0:53) I don't bother you the first three hours of my day. Speaker 2 (0:58) I Speaker 1 (0:58) don't think you even caught it yesterday when I was standing in the kitchen. You, Mama, and Savannah, all three said, Todd, Dad, at the same time, want me to do something. You didn't catch that, did you? Of Speaker 2 (1:14) course I did. But let me tell y'all. So I said I haven't felt good the last couple of days. I've just been a little off. Let me tell you what happened. Speaker 2 (1:24) So my daughter sends me a text yesterday. Speaker 1 (1:27) Our daughter. And Speaker 2 (1:28) she says, Mom, I left my rings on the kitchen counter last night on the kitchen counter. I said, OK, so I knew yesterday morning I got up that the rings were not there. And I knew that I was the one who had cleaned the kitchen up the night before because I told Chloe, I said, go ahead and go get your shower, get ready for bed. I want her to get. In bed because she had school yesterday, right? And so I knew that I was in there, but I did know you were meandering around the kitchen a little bit. See, Speaker 1 (2:02) don't be saying I was meandering around nowhere. Speaker 2 (2:04) Don't Speaker 1 (2:05) act Speaker 2 (2:05) like you have not. When I've left something laying around that you'll pick it up. Speaker 1 (2:10) No, no, let's not. Let's not convolute the situation. Yes. Have I hidden things from you before to make you think you've lost them? Yes. Yes. And laugh at you looking for them? Yes. Yes. But since I went away to my summer retreat, I have not been I've not been playing with shit like that. You let's let's rewind because you want to give a fancied up version. OK. Julie lives like she's been huffing paint. It's not everything's a fog. And Savannah came over, as they do every night for us to have dinner. They're in there cooking. Speaker 1 (2:52) And. Speaker 2 (2:55) Savannah's massaging the kale. So she took her rings off. Speaker 1 (2:59) Massaging the Speaker 2 (3:00) kale. I grew up with fucking Speaker 1 (3:01) iceberg lettuce, a tomato and cucumber and some ranch dressing. But at any rate, they're in there doing all these recipes and stuff. And two or three different times, Julie did some crazy shit. Like she was in a fog. I said I hadn't been feeling good. And Savannah looks at me like. Speaker 1 (3:22) And then Chloe looks up when and for Chloe to catch on something, saying something. And I thought, OK, something's wrong with her. But we move right along. Yesterday, I'm minding my own business, not drug up in nothing. And Judy goes, hey, what are you doing? I said, Savannah's dealing with her landscapers. Oh. Did you see Savannah's rings on the counter last night? I said, don't even start with me and no shit. No, I didn't see him. I wasn't in the kitchen. You will do Speaker 2 (4:01) that and hide them. Speaker 1 (4:03) Stop. People talk about me not allowing you to speak. Right. Can you please allow me to tell the truth? Sure. I said, uh-uh. Don't put me up in this shit. I was not in the kitchen. I never came in the kitchen. Who cleaned the kitchen and closed it down last night? Oh, I did. I said, well, then you stole the rings. She goes, oh, my God. Bye. Hangs up. I'm going about my business. So I come in the house. She's over there dicking around in the kitchen again. Savannah's there. Savannah says. Dad. Now let's do it all. Savannah comes in. She said, Speaker 2 (4:47) where's dad? I said, Savannah, what time is it? I took a nap Speaker 1 (4:52) yesterday. Why get one nap a week? Speaker 2 (4:54) Well, oh my God. I said, Savannah, what time is it? Four o'clock. Yep. Okay. Go ahead. I said, she says, Chloe, go get dad up. I need him. I said, Savannah, I really think that he's probably hidden those rings, right? Because I looked around where I thought that it might be whatever. It wasn't there. Okay, go ahead and pick up with the story. So Speaker 1 (5:19) Chloe goes and gets her dad up. And you notice how she had to come in and insert the fluff. I came downstairs. Savannah, don't start with no shit. Won't be no shit. I don't have your rings. Didn't know you left them over here. Thief and Thelma over there's got the rings. Speaker 2 (5:40) I don't have the rings. I haven't seen the Speaker 1 (5:43) rings. And she's in her, you know, very passive, you know who I'm talking about, behavior. But it is in the DNA, we'll just say. So Savannah says, Dad, those rings are extremely expensive. And I said, well, you didn't care that much about them when you took them off your damn hands. Speaker 1 (6:11) Daddy, Mama, where are my rings? And I looked at Julie and I looked at Savannah. I said, I'm going to tell you where them rings are. And I felt such a deja vu moment of my daddy. Speaker 1 (6:24) Because, you know, my poor daddy, God rest his soul, he would go behind my mama picking shit up that she had laid down and he'd go put it away. And then she'd a month later, I can't find my ring. I can't find this. And daddy had a Ziploc bag where he kept every damn thing that he picked up behind her. So I felt like, you know, my life has really turned into a Jean and Faye moment. And I didn't want that. Speaker 1 (6:54) But too bad. So at any rate, I said, she threw them damn rings away. Mama, Savannah, I've not thrown them away, honey. I have not. I actually don't even remember ever seeing them. I'm sure that you did. I don't know, but I didn't see them. I said, where's the gloves? Because Julie washes dishes with gloves. She picks her ass with gloves. I mean, she's got a pair of gloves for everything. Speaker 2 (7:23) You know, I've got hands like my grandmother, so I have to do whatever I can to preserve what little bit I have left. Speaker 1 (7:29) Well, that's all Speaker 2 (7:29) you Speaker 1 (7:29) got from Marie Hicks. So at any rate, get the blue gloves out. And Savannah goes, what are we doing? I said, we're going to pick through the f***ing trash because it runs tomorrow. Oh, my God. This one right here ain't saying a word. She's not even speaking, which told me she was guilty. So Chloe gets the big industrial black trash bag for us to dump the regular trash out on that. This is how God, how this should show you how Todd is living. Because God is good to me. God is faithful. That's why Julie is still living. Speaker 2 (8:15) I get the first trash bag. Because your daughter, Chloe, said, Dad, I think this is the one from Speaker 1 (8:22) last night. I get the first trash bag out of the top of the trash can, dump it out, tear it open, start digging through the trash with steak and chicken. No wonder the damn raccoon comes and camps out at our damn house every night, because this bitch is eating gourmet, too. Speaker 1 (8:43) tear it open. As soon as I take the plates and stuff out there, the two rings are laying in the bag with all this shit all over them. So I said, there they are. Sven goes, no way. Oh my God. Thanks dad. They all walk away. And leave me to clean up the trash that's been dumped out. I was in the kitchen cooking again. Throwing shit away. Probably. So you wanted to bring that up. Yeah. I'm trying to figure out how that story was a redeeming story for you. It's Speaker 2 (9:18) not. I'm just being truthful. So you threw your Speaker 1 (9:20) daughter's rings away. You acknowledge that now. I'm just being truthful. Okay. I Speaker 2 (9:23) did. You know, I was cleaning and I just, I don't know if they were in a paper towel. I don't know anything. She could have possibly laid them on a paper towel and I just gathered everything up. But they were not in a Speaker 1 (9:33) paper towel. You Speaker 2 (9:34) don't know that. Speaker 1 (9:35) I do know that. I have a video of it. But this was Speaker 2 (9:37) my thing. Like, almost immediately. Listen, this is. Almost immediately, he found these rings. Now, I mean, if it had been me, I would have literally had to go through 10 bags of trash to find it. Speaker 1 (9:51) But Speaker 2 (9:51) you know Speaker 1 (9:52) how God's looking out Speaker 2 (9:53) for Todd. You came down the stairs and then you walked into the bedroom and I thought, he had those hidden there and he's put them in his pocket to go outside. Don't act like it's above you to do that because you Speaker 1 (10:07) would do Speaker 2 (10:07) that. Speaker 1 (10:07) You place some shit like this in an assisted living that you're going to and somebody's going to beat your ass with soap and a sock just like mama. Okay, I'm not going to. You are. You are because you're going to get there quicker than mom is. Shut up. You and her are going at the same time. Folks, she threw the damn rings away. I didn't have the damn rings stashed. She's trying to. You know these people that they know they're drowning, but they're gasping for air. She's still trying to get that last gulp of air. That's not true. But Speaker 2 (10:39) anyway, but you know what? It ended well, right? We found, you found the rings. Speaker 1 (10:43) Todd cleaned up again after his family. I know, Speaker 2 (10:46) Todd. After his family. I know. What would we do without you? I don't know. Speaker 1 (10:50) I can tell you what I'd do without y'all. You'd be sad and hungry and lonely. I would not be. I would be sad. But I wouldn't be hungry because I can order food. No, you can't. No, but I would have somebody at some I would teach me. I'd call your ass. I would be sad. Yes. But I can also think about other things that I would be doing. I could take a nap in peace. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you do that. If I laid something down, it'd still be there when I got up. Speaker 2 (11:22) The Speaker 1 (11:22) house would always be clean. I'd have company frequently. Speaker 2 (11:29) OK, let's move on because I don't want to be mad at you. We got a lot to record today. Speaker 1 (11:37) Let's talk about that for a second, because that's something that that that is something that people talk about. And I see it on it because, you know, I say all this stuff
